Our final full day in Wanaka, so we decided to bike the Hawea River Track and grab some caches. Found without a problem. TFTC.
Logbook was quite damp but My pen wrote on the paper without too much trouble. This marked my turning point back to the swing bridge and car.
Mr Daywalk was registering for the Hawea Challenge, so an ideal excuse for a one way bike ride down this track to do the caches - all new since last time we did it. Unfortunately no time to dry off the logbook much, but put a pill bottle with a dry logsheet inside the cache as an alternative. [tB Paua Dolphin](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?tracker=9F94E3) visited.
Awesome little walk! Water was so nice we could see the fish swimming around! Log was too damp to sign and didn't take anything to replace it with. TFTC!
Somebody should come here and take all contents out for an hour or so to dry them out on a sun. The log is too damp to sign.
Biking with our Active Adventures group around the Hawea. I stopped and a couple of them asked if there was a cache here. I said yes and they were amazed. Log was wet, but I didn't have anything proper to replace with. TFTC
Found it! Nice easy find on our afternoon ride on the last official day of the school holidays. TFTC
Nice easy find. Very pretty spot for a rest and a snack... We left the kiddies snoozing in the pram so we didn't have to worry about the cliffs.
On a wonderful walk from lake hawea to the rodeo club we left a coin here. Later enjoyed the rodeos and walked back.
Quick find while taking best dog-friend Tasman for a walk along the Hawea River. great spot.TFTC
In Wanaka on business and had a few hours to spare so hired a bike and thought somes exercise would do me good. As it just happens came across a few caches.

TFTC Had a nice picnic in the lee of a Manuka/Kanuka nearby. "What a beautiful day, we're not scared"
After a short drive turned into a long 1 because we got locked in the green waste tip we thought we make the most of it and get this cach
Parked at Camp Hill Rd and trekked up the track past the civil works in the river. Lovely weather for a hike in the sun. TNLN
Drizzly bike ride but an easy find, have spent many hours in the eddy below with high school students teaching kayak skills lovely spot indeed. TFTC
NB. No pencil in the cache so I'll put one in in the next few days.

Great spot. Lovely chat with muggle, oblivious to the cache box, thought I was having my lunch! Left TB. TFTC
Found while section-walking the track as a part of Te Araroa. Hiked from Hawea at Domain Road to Camp Hill road and back again - plus some more along the lake front. Nice spot, thanks Seeker 01.
Beautiful spot on top of a cliff overlooking Hawea River. Bicyle very helpful. *tftc*
We took a leisurely stroll to the cache, from the Hawea end, after several days of strenuous caching in the area. The cache didn’t take too long to find, and we passed people running, cycling, and walking, all with their dogs. TFTC
Found while on our bike ride down the river, great place for a cache, the backwash in the river was full of feeding fish. That night we returned to try our luck at catching one but had no luck, we think they were feeding on the seeds from the willow trees.
Fun find on a very windy afternoon - very glad it was a tail wind. Perfect track for our young bikers. TFTC!
Found while biking the Hawea River Track - what a great ride this is. Neatly hidden, TFTC.
A lovely walk down the trail - some big houses across the river. Easy find. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2022)
Ran in from Camp hill road and met son in alw coming in from other end.
TFTC. River high. Few nice big rainbows in the backwaters

Nice day, out for a run along the river track.
Nice pool, saw some fish resting there.

A quick find on a beautiful bike ride, stunning day, great views - thanks for directing us here!
TFTC, the best cache of the eight I've done on this trip. A few elements came together nicely - a warmish winter day(enough to make the insects chirp) spotting fish, fantails, grey warblers, swallows at gz and without kids for an hour - able to get along the track at a decent rate.
Sigh - despite having the Lightning McQueen scooter and the running bike we didn't even get half way there - may require a quick adult solo trip if I can scare up a bike...and polish off the last of the seeker01 caches...
A pleasant walk in the later winter afternoon and nobody else about this side of the river. Retrieved the Bigfoot Ale TB and beat a retreat just as the sun sank below the ridgeline. Thanks for bringing us out here
Was checking out the progress of the new Kayak slalom course - will be interesting.
Found with hound and Mr Muggles. Thanks Seeker 01

Good timing here, just as we caught up to a group of slower cycling mugles GZ came into view. TNLN TFTC
A good part of the track for a cache with the view of the river racing past. Hoped for some mushrooms along the way but only a great quantity of toadstools. Dropped off a geocoin
Biked from the motor camp on lake hawea to wanaka along the tracks.. had icecream on the lake front then biked back, picking up caches along the way.. Cool bridge at the other end. Caravaning around the sth island.. Thanks

Rode the MTB from Camphill Rd to the cache. What a pleasant ride it was. This is a great facility for all cyclists both young and old. Nice looking home across the river. Thanks for the cache.
Nice ride from 2BBuilt. Even nicer having a tail wind on the way back. -Coin. Thanks.
Enjoyed the bike ride. Muggles around. Great view. Good spot and nicely hidden Seeker01.
A nice walk on a sunny day. I wondered if the owner of this cache was watching from the nice house across the river!
Found it at 06:48, my 27th of 32 finds on a South Island wander, and my 789th find.
Out for a morning contitutional down the track. What a great place, next time I'll bring my bike.
TFTC Seeker 01!

Biked down from Hawea to do this. We thought more cachers should have been here by now.
+ a large marble, - nothing.

*FTF* A very surprised FTF after short bike ride from the bridge. It is great to see all these new cycle ways coming into action around the country side. TFTC
