Sorry to hear this one is gone, was the hide removed??? Did the container go missing?? Hope this one comes back one day, it was a great multi.
Can't find a good quality hiding spot for a largish cache (and don't want to just put out a micro or nano). Will archive this for now and once I get back from long service I might have a crack at version 2.
Many thanks for all who found and enjoyed this cache.

I collected the answers, calculated what I thought should be GZ and headed to my calculated GZ. I don't know if I got it right - there were a couple of potential spots, but not many. There was a muggle standing near my GZ, obviously not moving, just waiting.
I plugged in another GZ but it wasn't right. I guess I'll have to return to my GZ on another day. For now, I'll class this as a Did Not Attempt.
Just discovered that this cache is now disabled. Will have to watch it and see what happens.

Well it looks like somebody has picked up a great big ship's propeller and moved it somewhere else! . There goes my GZ - bummer ! I'll ponder whether I can find another cool hiding spot and rejig the clues accordingly, or else I may have to archive and start again. Stay tuned.
We like doing multi's as it gives the boys something to focus on along the way. Having collected all the information quite easily, we set off on the short stroll feeling confident that we had this one. But, it wasn't to be... The GPS jumped everywhere and despite, getting a fix on it via features we had no luck whatsoever. A disappointing search in the end. Thanks anyway.
This was the longest cache we did in the city today! The info was easy but the coords pointed to nothing. So we changed one number but nothing there either. So we went back to double check our answers and we came back with the same coords. I guess it was just too hard for us
Picked this up after the GP last night, was very quiet and didn't see another soul. TFTC TNLN
Did the numbers and it was only a short stroll to the GZ. Interesting though- why would any one do a burnout outside the police station - they were on him in a flash of red and blue. SL TNLN TFTC
Found it after previous visit to gather the clue information. Got to GZ and located container! Took TB and SL. Will be back to place a very appropriate TB in this great cache. TFTC SSMC4 !!!!

I've had this one worked out of ages, and I park in the carpark not 50m from GZ, but never remembered to bring my GPS to work, so today, with it bein a public holiday, today was the day to stop in and find it.
It was a nice easy find too, but for someone with largish hands, it was a tad tricky to open and close. Nevertheless I was able to do it and the cache is happy as larry in its hiding place.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks ssmc4 for this well sized cache here toda. So much nice than the plethora of micros I picked up today.

Was able to grab the clues without being asked to move along, proceeded to GZ and located the cache.
For such a lovely day, GZ was unexpectedly deserted.

We had collected most of the required information on a previous visit - we were uncertain about once piece of data and we ended up with three possible locations for GZ. Today we had the time to complete the search. As one would guess, the cache was found at the third of our three possibilities. We had predetermined the type of cache referred to in the hint - well we were wrong and it is another lesson to keep an open mind. A great hide, excellent hints and a sense of achievement when we finally located it. We didn't have anything apprpriate to leave in the container. TFTC ssmc4 - very enjoyable.
Nearing the end of a long day and decided to tackle this one. Not too hard. Nearly made one mistake with the palms but sorted that out and soon had the cache located.

This was a pretty cool multi that definately made you feel that you were doing something wrong! We have often thought about doing these kind of naughty caches and now that we have done one just confirms our beliefs. Welldone! SL Took magpie TB Left nothing TFTC and fun
Found this one. It was tricky. Swapped chopper placed hand cuffs . Drop TB . Cheers for the cache.[^]
Such a Fun urban cache. Enjoyed the scenic route through the chapel and its lovely little garden . Took tb
Well the cache listing certainly upped my paranoia level when collecting the clues but I managed to carry that off without incident. GPS seemed to be a little out at GZ but logic took me to the cache which is nicely hidden. Nice theme. Swapped trackables. TFTC, Biggles.
Great cache, my favourite so far! Good sized container with some great swaps. The hint was helpful. Not the most comfy seat so it was funny trying to act natural while extracting the Log book. Thanks ssmc4!!
Found with Aussiepuschaks and enjoyed the cache hunt. Took us a while as one of the clues was a lttle confusing and we did not look hard enough at our first calculated GZ location. After substituting a few different digits into the questionable answer we still had no luck. Returning to our original location finally had the cache in hand which was a clever hide. TFTC
Finding this cache was a mission for us, having retrieved a TB in Canberra that was near to us in heart as well as mission. Hauptkommissar - Captain TB was seeking to visit this cache, and as my second cousin is in the German Police force, and we were travelling to Melbourne, how could we refuse to hold this one until the mission was complete. Together with Teamppss we travelled down to Melbourne from our overnight place in Gisborne and made the find on a beautiful day in Melbourne. As we used the Silvercachemobile to journey from Canberra to the cache we took the cache into the TB for a few minutes to sign the log (car won't fit in the cache, lol). Also visiting was our Bushfire memorial geocoin from the 2009 Victorian Bushfires. Thanks ssmc4 for the cache.
What a great cache. Loved the clues, just difficult enough to make you feel anxious about looking suspicious, not too difficult to get you into trouble. And the cache itself is great - when I set eyes on it I knew what it was immediately, but how easy to spot and not notice if you don't know there is something there. TNLN SL TFTC.
At first I thought I had the wrong location, and using the clues, I looked all over, found it then had trouble retrieving it. Meanwhile a ton of midget muggles started swarming around me. All wondering just what the hell I was doing... TNLNSL
Third go at this - I usually would log a dnf, but I was too timid at wp1. This time I just went there and sat on the seat in the sun - felt perfectly natural, and didn't attract any attention. You're more likely to cop it if you are a bit furtive. GZ had a hi-viz muggle there standing looking at me for ages. I just sat there mucking around with my GPS looking like helf the population does engrossed in their i-devices.Finally got the log and signed. Thanks for the entertainment.
Quite tricky to answer all clues.
After I did everything right I could find the cache easily. Nice hide.

Lady Morris had attempted this one some time ago but her calculated gz was a very busy spot and she was unable to search. In discussing this with a previous finder she realised she wan't in exactly the right spot. Today with a fresh set of numbers the cache was in a slightly different spot and certainly a much friendlier search area. After a brief "Aesop's fable" moment the contents were released. Took 2 TBs that were too hard to get back in. No exchanges but TFTC

The challenge was trying to retrieve the container from the hiding location. I have big hands so it wasa real puzzle, but my fellow finders were able to do the neccessary handwork. Nice location here, though I assume it will shortly more active with new businesses starting up nearby.

Like others before us we had no problems gathering the required info, but while we were the local constabulary did stop and question us. He knew about geocaching in a broad sense but didn't quite have a grasp on it, in fact he thought that there had only been a couple of people caching here in the last year and was amazed when we showed him some of the most recent found logs.
The hiding spot was actually somewhere we noticed on the way to the start and was worth the visit. Nice cheeky hide.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks ssmc4 for the caching fun!

Checked the cache tonight and make some small adjustments - thanks to blacklegend17 for the heads-up. Just a reminder to future finders that the whole cache container does not need to be removed, just unscrew the lid and move it to one side. Please also take care that sand and grit doesn't get caught in the threads as this will jam the lid for the next finder.
I'm pleased that people are enjoying this cache - happy hunting to all those future finders .

Bit of a story with this one. So i solve the puzzle no problem and make the walk to GZ. Locate the cache no problem. Notice that the lid on the cache appears to be a bit skewif and one of the snaplock bags was sticking out of the edge. Lots of muggles around.... Attempt to remove the lid with the cache in the ground, no way.... Stuck on firm. After 10 minutes, manage to extract the cache, between muggles at lunch time.
But wait, it gets better, i manage after about 5 mins to remove the lid. Seems the snaplock bag had been wedged in the thread and the lid placed on cross-threaded. I was then approached by 2 x uniform police members from HQ nearby. So after 5 mins explaining about caching, all was good. I had to tell them about the hide, but they were fine with that and actually seemed quite interested in the whole concept of caching. The cache is safe from that regard.
After signing the log i attempted to put the lid back on the container, but it didn't matter what i tried, the lid kept cross-threading.... I have put the lid back on with a small amount of pressure only, it is not done up completely, and i had no tools to manipulate the plastic thread. So while i am putting the cache back in place, a council worker came over and started talking. After again explaining caching, he was quite happy with the cache being there. He did provide one important piece of information, that he had seen some "kids" mucking around in the exact spot that morning. It is possible they have found the hide, so i suppose it is lucky it is still there.
I am coming back to Melbourne in about 9 days, so i will return with a tool to fix the thread and rehabilitate the container. I don't mind, its no problem. I still want to do the nearby Polywoodside Cache and the South Wharf which i was not able to complete due to lunchtime muggles. My brother is a Protective Services Officer and works at the garage entrance only about 50m away, so i can even get him to have a look at it next week if i cant make it. Wish i could have fixed it at the time, it is a great cache and a great hide.
Cheers,

A Beautiful sunny Winters Day was Perfect to find this well thought out cache. Many thanks from Team Schnuffi.
Found today at 5pm today, Saturday, but earlier ....
On Wednesday I drove into the city and parked close to a nearby building site where there appeared to be about 20 cars.
I thought this would be a good place for a fairly brief stay while I found a couple of caches.
I collected the clues for this one, but had to be a bit rushed as I felt uncomfortable loitering near what was not really a general public location.
The calculated answer got me to an unlikely position, so I did a couple of nearby caches instead. When I returned to my car, there was a padlocked chain across the entrance... oh no !.
I scouted around the periphery of the site looking for an an alternative way out, but all possible exits were blocked by bollards. I waited for about 30 mins all in all, including the search for a possible exit.
I was just about to go to the site office and throw myself on their mercy when I noticed a couple of guys heading towards another car. As they got in, I got into my car and followed them to the exit. One of them got out and held the chain aside, and I just drove out immediately behind the other car, getting a wave for my trouble. Luck escape I thought.
I had sent an email to SSMC4 and was shown the error of my ways, enabling me to recalculate the hide location. When I returned there today, I found a most ingenious hide.
The cache was in excellent condition and so I thankfully signed the log, but didn't make any swaps.
When I returned today I had a closer look at the chain. There were a number of padlocks on it, but one large one marked "security" was not locked. In fact it was bent and could not be locked.
I think the whole chain thing is a scam and it is never actually locked. Perhaps I should have taken a closer look on Wednesday.
Thanks for a very exciting cache SSMC4.

Maintenance performed and the cache is good to go!
What had happened was that sand and grit had been caught in the container lid thread, thereby jamming it. Would all future finders please make sure that there is no grit either in the lid or the container thread when replacing the lid, and please don't screw it on too tightly.
Happy hunting .

After missing this one at the flash event I was keen to finish it off while in the city today. I enjoyed the visit to the areas it took me and GZ was a great little spot that I hadn't visited before. That's where things wehnt a bit pear-shaped. I spent 20 minutes trying to extract the lid, another 10 trying to extract the container, all the time having to stop and walk away as muggles passed nearby. I grabbed my phone and read some previous logs and realised what had happened. I too snapped a photo hoping it will suffice but will understand if you feel this is not acceptable.
Thanks for showing me some of the important places around town.

We were glad we did not get arrested on this one, it sure was a lot of fun but we came unstuck at GZ, we had no trouble finding the cache, but we found the lid had been cross threaded and we were unable to remove it, we took a photo of the cache to prove the find if the owner wants to see it, I am afraid this one will need some work doing on it to make it workable again. Thanks ssmc4 for an enjoyable cache, just a pity we could not get the lid off.

1/12 today. Once we found rockstar parking in the Crown carpark, we got a phone call about my South Wharf cache and it's 'missingness'. We walked over there to confirm the fact and then headed back into the city for some pre-flash caching and coffee. We had tried to find this cache a while back and I think I posted a DNF due to muggles filming or taking photos ontop of where we had the cache to be. When we came back this morning the area was clear and I had it straight away, thanks.

Had to take my time and approach when the foot trafic was light. Great hide. Left T.B. on a long journey.
Got approached by a plain-clothes cop while I was looking for signs and flags and stuff, he was nice and had heard of our game so he let me continue Wasn't sure about 1 number so I walked along checking the few possible spots, I was getting worried approaching my last possible spot, but was happy to discover the well designed cache.
Doing this cache on a Sunday afternoon is definitely the best way to track it down. No muggles anyone - at the starting point nor at the cache location. A great hiding spot too. SL TNLN TFTC.
I was glad the cache was where it was as loitering about this area didn't seem a great idea. I came here a year or so ago when I'd inadvertantly left my geocaching bag on southbank and I was reporting the loss of some valuable stuff including my PDA and camera. While I was reporting it a bloke rang me saying he'd found it and returned it to me, for which I was most gratefull. There are still a few good honest people out there.

Mmmmmmmmmmm should have looked harder with my initial calculations.
After some confusion that had me scaling car parks and trekking along the river.
I soon realised after heads up from ssmc4 that I was correct with my first effort and should have looked harder!!
After removing the log and moving away too sign, on return I had to wait for the 'boys in blue' to move on before replacing.

Like VKC1SR I too spend quite a bit of time near here with a good friend living in the apartment block across the road and us staying regularly. This visit to Melbourne was for work and we spent most of the week across the river at Toyfair for our annual meeting and buying opportunities.
We had a look for the clues last night on our way to dinner but had a bit of trouble with one clue as I'd forgotten to bring the questions. On return to our accommodation I could complete most of the questions and get a good idea of the likely location for GZ.
A return this morning gave us the final answer and GZ was then quickly located.
Thanks ssmc4.

Here on a conference trip, conference finished early today, and I finally had the time to look for a few caches in the company of a new cacher. We were just wondering about one of the questions, when the owner came walking past and gave us a hint... nice to meet you, ssmc4! After swappong phone numbers (you never know... as I will move down to Melbourne soon and tend to turn cache blind whenever possible), we answered the remaining questions and headed to GZ. Nicely executed hide, well done! . TFTC
That's a very nice and smart cache. Straight after starting to answer the questions a policeman asked me whether I'm looking for the cache. I wasn't sure what I should say, but he's also a cacher so it was anice conversation. Thanks for this amazing cache!
Found today at 0820 in company with Sarian.
How embarrassing having a cache appear 1 month ago out the front of work and we didn't even notice it.
Nice easy find
Thanks for the cache

Out in the city with Toy Car. This is our second attempt with this one. We are learning all the time the people think differently so we must look out of our square more. Loved the cache destination as it brings back memories of the dances that were held near by for the seaman coming into port. Clever little retrieve, like the monkey's hand caught in the biccy jar.
Thanks for the cache, we thought it was great.
Left a traveller, I thought it deserved it

After finishing work late I missed going out with Xambo4u, knew what caches she was going to attempt so off I went.
Xambo4u and I got the clues last week, but got one of the numbers wrong so we were searching the wrong area. This week was more successful, I found xambo4u still searching for the cache. When I got there I found it very quickly, but getting the container out was more difficult. In the end we had to undo the lid to get to the goods, but undoing the lid was quite difficult.
TFTC.

Out and about with Toy Car tonight, taking advantage of the daylight savings. Having parked the cars in the Botanical gardens this was the furtherest we were going. Gathering all the clues accept there was no flashing orange light/lights. Maybe this only opperates when the people in blue are working?? We took an educated guess and looked in a couple of places with no avail. Our second dissappointment for the night.
I made my way to this one after dinner tonight, which worked well, as I was able to legally park around 50m from WP1. I decided that I wasn't doing anything illegal, so wandered right up to the sliding doors to gather the data. Then it was off to GZ, where the cache was found very quickly in a very brave hiding location. It's so good to see the return of an ssmc4 multi in the city - such a pity that new cachers never got to experience "Chopsticks", one of my very first finds, and one of my favourites still. TNLN tonight. Many thanks ssmc4!
What a fantastic cache. Love the location. Took the beach cachoid - I'll keep it moving.

I slipped out at lunchtime today to grab this one. A couple of burly types prevented me from getting too close and thus I was unsure of one answer.
Everything else seemed to gatherable so I went with my best instinct to a likely hiding place.
I seem to remember finding a cache of yours years ago in chinatown I think. This hide was completely different but just as unique.
Loved it.
Thanks

I was at docklands on a beautiful summer day and decided to wander back down this way. I gathered all the information easily anough although felt a little exposed going in close enough for F!
Oddly, GZ was where I fancied it may have been, although the actual hide was certainly not! Very well done and I was easily able to retrieve and replace the cache despite a nearby skaterboarder. Thanks ssmc4.

Well, standing outside a private entry for a cop shop (big one at that) at 8:30pm is enough to put pressure on anyone to calculate with all those cameras!!!
I'll be back tftc!!

Found with Team BAPHA on geocycling afternoon. Nice hide and no cops or seafarers around. Wished we had something worthy to swap, but we didn't so we stayed true to the geocachers code. Left Beach Cachoids GC that we picked up while in WA a week or so earlier.
This cache was like 10m from where we stay in Melbourne. Was heaps excited to find one so nearby Nice hide too. Left coffee card (figured this fit the theme after seeing the cafe down the road from the cache full of police every morning, plus we all know they need caffeine for late night stake outs!), took bomb squad car and stickers. Thanks!
Exciting to find such a new cache! Found this with Team BAPHA on a caching bike ride. Had fun locating all the clues and the final waypoint, and was impressed with the swaps in the cache but didn't have anything worthy to add. SL, TFTC!
Tristan the Travel Turtle Tag (TTQWTC) has come for a flying visit back in time.
Courtesy FTF log - full log to follow.
Edited to add:
I saw this listing last night before I moved from my temporary couch bed to my proper bed.
Thought I would attempt it before work as there is a bus stop nearby for the bus I catch.
I stood over at the tram stop to count some things so I didn't look too sus.
My eye sight is good, but it isn't THAT good and I had to go closer to see some of the other clues.
Made the short walk to GZ, not too many people around at this time of the morning.
Nice sized cache! Not too many places to hide one of this size.
Cache found at approx 7:50am.
Was rather surprised to find an empty logbook! (Where are all the regular cachers today?)
I didn't have any themed swaps so no trades were made.
Thanks ssmc4 for this cache. I have waited for the bus at the stop nearby for years and I didn't know this was where they direct police 000 calls to!
