Had a good look around. Lots of potential spots, but no caches. Monkeys did find some marbles at the base of the tree
Sorry guys, we'll have to archive this one as we have moved interstate. Hopefully someone else may be able to use the spot now!
DNF early this morning. was not prepared to climb down the tip face towards the river. Called it a day after 10 min scratching around.
Found it No. 3878 ... quick find ... took TB and left TB ... TFTC 0z explorers
Up from Newcastle, enjoying the weather!! Rollerbladed to this one, left Koda TB, TFTC!!
Basking sun and no shelter in sight marked this stretch of Sprudels and my cycling adventure to Maggie island. But the cache proved to be a welcome distraction. Thanks for hiding!
A nice walk overlooking the Ross River was great. Found in good condition, signed log and took TB. TFTC Oz Explorers.
There were a few muggles working nearby in the park today, but it was still an easy and safe find. Cheers Gav [9033]
The cache was a fairly easy find. We rehid it the same way we found it. After reading the description it may not be exactly as placed as we certainly didn't put anythig over the cache. Everything else is OK.
Thanks.
Thanks.
A bit hairy reaching around to perch, new logbook insitu. Lots of cyclists and people fishing from the banks beyond.
My first cache ,was fun needs a pen I didn't have one didn't sl if you're in the mud you went too far. Walking muggle didn't see me motorized muggle did but just went by. TNLN TFTC.
Brahms6 found this one. The cache is ok in in a good spot but it needs a logbook, Unfortunately I did not have a spare with me.

Okay so I did find the Cache, however, I'm sorry to have to report that it has been Muggled... I found the container and lid and some random aussie flags here and there scattered about and a ziplock bag which I assume would have held the log just down the embankment but alas no Log to be found anywhere... I put what i could find into the container and put it on the riverside of GZ down low.
I'll be back when its up and running again..

After parking the car, the GPS indicated the direction of the cache. In hindsight, we could have just as easily followed the concrete path, but at the time walking over the saturated grass seemed a good option. The GZ was identified and after a brief search the cache was located. Given the information provided in the description, I'm not sure if I located the cache in its rightful home....but I returned it where I found it. TNLN.
Nice easy find and glad it survived Yasi! A lovely view which the ants obviously loved to (stinky little green ones!)TNLN TFTC
We haD just ordered so e pizza after searching for some other caches and the kids said one more dad. So we headed for this one found it and got the pizza on time as well. TFTC great fun.
Found after a quick hunt around gz. We stuck to the path because there was there was water lying everywhere after all the rain. Took GC (short visit), left elephant head. Thanks Oz Explorers
Found this one this morning o a quick run out and around. I had a TB in my possession that needed to be dropped off, so this one helped out heaps. With the use of a friends GPSr (GPSMAP 60CSX I want one!!) I had this ion hand very quickly. Took Nothing, Left TB to continue on it's Diabetes awareness spreading journey.

This one was fun. My friend and i found it pretty fast although we did have to look twice and it was at night. Being there at night it was scary to be so close to the cliff and we werent sure if we were at the right place. But we were!
Heading back to my hotel the long way I dropped by for this one. Parked the car at the end of the road and walked a straight line to the cache. A peewee looked like it was injured or just learning to fly just below on the bank and the other peewees gave me hell for a few seconds! It was a quick find as it was almost in plain sight. Unlikely to be spotted by muggles though. Signed the log. Thanks!
First ever geocache for us - just down the road from home, forgot a pen, had to ride back home and get one !
After a nice stroll through the park we found the cache lying on the floor. We are not sure of that was the position it was supposed top be. Nice stuff in it- contrary to some other caches. Left a tick repellent and took the TB with us.
Thanks & greetings, ligi & chilifarmer

Started from friends verhanda close by and this was one of 2 finds for the afternoon with swarm of geokids ... had a great time at the park with rip-sticks and skateboards on the bike path. Kids threw a line in a few hundred meters down the path and had a great time. Took - Girl Guide Badge Left - Small silver padlock with two keys attached. Thanks for the walk and the great afternoon.

Parked at the carpark and started down the walk before arriving at GZ. The track was very quiet and the fisherman down in the creek were too busy catching bait to spy on what we were up to.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 60 of our annual 'Climatic Refugee' trip, on a night run after dropping the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) at Suburban Bowling Club for a line dancing social, and made a very quick and easy GAFF 1 find. The logbook bag was torn and looked more like a sleeve, so I replaced it with a new ziplock bag.
My find No 2646, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

I must admit that I was a little disappointed in this cache location, mainly because there are so many other tree locations nearby to hide one.
Thanks all the same.

camsuz and Miss S's third cache for Saturday afternoon.. suz claims find first although cam and Miss S disagree. Took dog sharpener and left plastic yoyo and Girl Guides "Biscuit" Badge. Great spot.. but like you all say shame about the erosion.

Doesnt look anything like a tip - until you look down into the water. Its amazing what was allowable a few years ago.
The park was empty today. Wandered over to the river bank and located the cache without any problems. Not a bad spot, just a shame about the erosion revealing the previous land usage.
mmmmm....see what you mean about its history, still lovely walk to get there. Might try my hand at fishing as spotted some jumping just of the bank. Heaps of muggles also walking around late in the arve. Left smiley face keychain puzzle thingy in exchange for a toy chopper.
Lovely day for caching
Took stickers, left sugarcube/icecube/toast clamp thingy

Found with the Reluctant Companion, in another beautiful Townsville park. What a great day - 8 finds - lunch in Townsville and a movie before going home. It doesn't get much better than this. This was an easy find after a pleasant walk throught the park. TNLN TFTC.
Interesting history that I wasn't aware of. Plenty of bird life around today. TFTC Oz Explorers
An easy find this afternoon, nearby fisher people weren't interested in me.You have to wonder "What were they thinking" when they let a landfill get so close to a waterway, I think I recognised a shoe I threw out in 1981. At least the park area is nice. Thanks for the cache Oz Explorers.TNLNSL.
Parked on Queens Rd and took a short walk to find the cache sitting nicely in it's hidey hole. Signed the log and moved onto a few others in the area.

A great spot for a drink, look across the river and pick up some TBs on the cycle home. This is another highway for cyclists, and again the parked cycle was great cover. The cache was a little out of its perch so I did a bit of repairs on the site, but the cache was fine.

First ever cache for me! Took a friend to introduce her to geocaching too. Great hide, didn't realise it used to be a tip. T GC L triceratops, SL, TFTC
Found this cache just as a thousand mozzies found me. Was the fastest signing of a log and trackable swap ever done. Found a GC lying on ground in vicinity of cache but no trackable in the cacge??? Trackable fairies????
Thanks for the Hunt Oz.
Plenty of trackables in the cache for the next to find.

Wow, yet another place we have never ventured to. We must give this bike track a go when the rain stops. Not one muggle in sight, the place was ours with only a few muggle ducks making the most of the water drenched park. The river was high but the cache was safe. If there is much more erosion in this area the cache may need to be relocated to higher ground.. TNLN. TFTC.
Nice sunnynday to be caching after what seems to be a week of constaint rain. In Compass button and GC out Stubby holder SL TFTC
Saw both of your caches come up last night but decided to grab them this morning. Nice area haven't been here before its very interesting to know it was a tip one thing that I didn't know. The river banks are eroding and rubbish can still be see along the bank hopefully it won't get much worse..... Thanks and Congrads for placing your first 2 caches. I enjoyed the area and the hunt. TNLN Thanks for the hunt. : )
Found easily. Thankyou for taking us into the park. We have only ever driven past before.
