Down from Whangarei in Christchurch for a few days visiting family and meeting our first grand daughter. Whilst the other half took the credit card for another walk, I decided to pick up a few local caches, even though the weather was decidedly chilly this morning.I had looked for this one a few days ago after getting some good numbers on a prior shopping excursion, but after 30 minutes, only succeeded in finding a birds nest ( cache of air...??? ) and a number plate. I messaged the CO for a nudge and they were good enough to come back with a reply that I may have been vertically challenged and eye height might not have been sufficient. We had already left the vicinity by then though, so today was to be redemption day. With the chilly wind today, my new vantage point was, unsurprisingly, virtually muggle free, so no problems with searching this time and before long, the sneaky hide was in hand. Signed the log and returned as found. TFT(Challenging multi)C
We've trod this path so many times before,Through wind and rain, our spirits never sore.We searched and searched, then searched again in vain,Asked fellow cachers, ownerall in pain.Resigned at last, we begged the answer true,Confirmed our fear: the cache had bid adieu. The "cache of air" had vanished in thin air,Replaced anew, we found it waiting there.Too easily we claimed our hard-won prize,The spot familiar to our seasoned eyes.A bittersweet success, our quest complete,The final stage now beckonstrick or treat? We hope it waits, this journey's end in sight,As off we go, geocachers in flight.
I found the numbers and went to the final location. All the information in the description made sense (clever description btw!).Unfortunately no find for me today despite a very good look and feel, and widening the search.
Got the required information quickly, and sorted the calculations. Upon arrival at the final location it took quite a while to find the cache. However all became apparent with close and careful reading of the description! Really well thought out and clever. TFTC.
Seeing what we could get after the event this morning. Managed a Dnf followed by too many muggles, so I was pleased this was a win. Thank you La Vista
Found with mumandme. After parking very near we had a look from the car and sussed out where we thought it would be, then she quickly jumped out and grabbed it and brought it back to the car for signing! I didn't even have to get wet on this very cold and wet day! Awesome! Nearly finished this great series now, thanks!
Thanks for a great cache - the co-ords were easily obtained and then, as it was freezing cold and raining, the cache area was free of muggles and we got to park in a prime position. Cache was in the first place I looked.
Have had this sitting solved a couple of months now, the day i went to find it gz had been fenced off. Delays had this fenced too long. Nice quick find and sign after work tonight!
This was a tricky one. Getting the WP was no problem but finding the cache was another thing. Using the poem we got ourselves to where we assumed it was but gained nothing but dirty fingers. After about 30 minutes, I sat down to compose my DNF log when WiscoBryo walked over holding the container. SNEAKY!
Nearly called it quits, but had one final poke around GZ and TADA! Easy as pulling a rabbit out of your hat
After getting the numbers some time ago, I finally found a good time to call past and find this cache.
A nice quick find exactly where I thought/hoped it might be.
This is my first find of this series- I'm still working on a couple of others and one yet to visit.
The Final is over my side of town so I'm looking forward to (hopefully) one day having the numbers needed for that.
Thanks for the multi LaVista

Thank you La Vista! I couldn't find it for a while, had to hide out in the car for a bit and was watching some videos that gave me an idea of what to look for. Lovely concealment
After 12years we decided it was time we should redo the caches we had found and find the others after we lost our numbers to liquefaction during the earthquakes. An even easier find when we knew what to look for. The log and container are snug and dry in good condition. Hope to finish this time without any mishaps. Thanks La Vista
Out with busy paws we did the homework to get the co ords and then went for a quick look. Had to stop l as time got away and needed to get to an appointment. Came back today knowing where we wanted to look and then the magic words were heard. Busy paws found the cache. We were happy to sign log and have the next lot of letters solved. Thanks for this interesting series we loved the Dan Brown books. Thanks for this AIR cache La Vista.
Had to rush away the other day when we first started looking. We also discovered where we needed to be. Back today with Coconuts3 and voila! there it was happily hidden and safe. TFTC and looking forward to doing the next 2.
I have had this one in the solved but unfound pile for ages. After caching around the red zone we decided to stop by and have a look for this one. It was a quick find in the first place I looked. TFTC.
This was fun. With the coordinates in hand we surveyed GZ and looked in a few places before twigging what was required. We took an indirect route to get where we were supposed to be, and sat down next to the hide location, while being observed by a muggle sitting in a nearby car. Sitting and chatting to each other, the muggle soon lost interest in us and went back to looking at her phone. We slid the cache out, signed it, and went on our way, this time back to the car by the now obvious route. This is such a cunning and clever hide. A favourite from us! Thanks, La Vista!
Day before Christmas mightn't be the best time for this one but luckily we found a park and made our way quite quickly to GZ. Followed the hints and wasn't long before we had the cache (and a neighbourhood spider) in hand. Enjoying these puzzles. Hoping to get that final one this month. TFTC
Over at the nearby shopping centre and while the others wandered the shops Mr All7ofusNZ headed over to grab the required information for this multi. Did the calculations and decided that the final was close enough to have a go at. Arrived at GZ to find that things were not as expected and there was no obvious hide where the GPSr was indicating. Realized that a different approach to GZ was needed and after a bit of a search in an alternative location the cache was found. Thanks for the multi La Vista.
This was the easiest one of these I've tried. A quick solve and idea about the location. I quickly found the cache and signed. Was about to return when the man who'd been asleep in his car right next to the cache woke up. Eek. No sign of him dozing off again. And he doesn't seem interested in getting out of his car. Might just have to have a coffee! Thanks for the cache, La Vista. #3090
Came back today after collecting the information yesterday (running out of time prevented a search) and made a quick find. Had some trouble with the hint, but decided to ignore it and just try to find the container. So the first in this series is done, we will see how the others go. And of course the big task with the bonus... TFTC
We still had time left so we had a look for a short multi nearby. The numbers were quickly found and we wet straight to GZ. We couldn't locate the container. After ages of searching we realised something really important. After that it didn't take long to find the cache! Nice hide!

Found on a dog walk. Kind of.
Had searched at the coords two times before but both of the times did not reach the necessary heights of O2 ecstasy hence why couldn't find the cache.
This time I came with the idea of where it should be already in my mind and it turned out to be correct.
> “How do you feel?”
> He rubbed his stomach. “Like I've been eating Styrofoam.”
> The pilot nodded. “Altitude sickness. We were at sixty thousand feet. You’re thirty percent lighter up
there.”

This search turned frustrating real fast.
Some of the clues made sense, some of then didn't. Coords pointed in the parking lot so that didn't help either. Shuffled around the hedges for a bit and went away...

In Christchurch for a few days. Out on a morning walk to find some caches. Thanks for the cache.
Finally sorted this one, a few months after sorting the waypoint! I have been putting off collection as the location is not one of my favourite types of places, quite the opposite Very fitting location though, and luckily I was not left long gasping for air before having my hand on it TFTC!!!!
We found the co-ordinates easily enough but searched around gz for quite a while. We were discussing our options when we were approached by a friendly cacher who asked if we wanted a hint. We soon had the cache in hand once we knew we were on the right track. TFTC!
Jess.daphne and I were on the hunt for an 'a' for the March challenge and this one was pretty close to home. We quickly found the clue and located GZ. We looked up and down (literally) for the cache and then started to have a good think about the clues. Just when we narrowed it down a friendly passer-by stopped and provided us with a hint. It seems he's been here before. A nice hide. Tftc.
I have visited this mall quiet a lot and didn't realise there was a cache here ,quick easy find .Tftc
Sir Belac and I got the required information and got the final coordinates while I was in Christchurch for the mega. We had a look at the location but it was too busy to attempt so left it. Nanzie and i were nearby so gave it a go, no problem with muggles. TFTC

Easily found the numbers required to get the final co ords but the final was elusive until we eventually managed to spot the hide. Found with Firewoof.

In town for the Mega event and of course one does as many caches as one can . The was one of the quality caches that we completed with Adventure Collectors. We had an awesome time , met many amazing cachers. This one had us searching, rechecking numbers, dam made a mistake, searching, rethinking, Oh of course, searching some more, nope. One more try, finally ...TFTC
Great to nab this one yesterday while working in the area. Got the puzzle and maths sorted out, had a look at GZ for the final and came up short. Back to work. Facebooked a friend and my suspicions were soon confirmed, back after work to mop up the final! Great hide, great series. One to go then the final.
Cheers for the smiley

Three down, one to go, then it's off to the final! Waypoint was easy, but I made the final look WAY harder than I should have. Too busy looking to slow down, think, and LOOK. In the end it was in the perfect spot for this type of GZ, nicely done.

Finally got around to this before going to movies. Not to difficult. Now for the final. Tftc
I had looked and looked, then looked again - several times over the past couple of years.
A quick chat with the CO at a recent event & I decided it was time for another look. Can't believe I hadn't found it sooner! Thanks, team La Vista. Onwards & upwards....

Found a while ago after a long search but didn't have a pen. Back with a pen today to sign and log. Nice hide. Tftc!
I really don't know how I missed that! . This is the second multi in this series. The first cache found on a NosyBear cache binge.
Wow Don't know how i was not able to find this last time. Had collected the required info awhile ago and attempted not sure how it was not found as i am pretty sure that spot was looked in. Look forward to doing the the others in the series, now that is 2 down. Cheers for the cache.

Had this one on the Montana for soooo long. Revisited today with no rain and no muggles. Nicely hidden and still quite cosy. Thanks R & L.
Out for an evening walk and there was no-one around at GZ. Had quite a hunt and still couldn't locate, then bugzptr gave me a nudge in the right direction. ah-ha!
Not luck. Had confimation I was looking in the right area but lots of people around so will try again sometime when the area will be quieter.
The first part of the cache was easy enough, I broke off to do some shopping, and then after studying the riddle the cache was in the first place I looked. TFTC!
Had tried this one previously but too no avail - I think it was a problem my seven year old daughter often has! Anyway, did the calcs again tonight and came up with a spot I liked, and was able to quickly get my hand on the cache when the annoying muggle eventually moved off.

So I had been here about 3 times before in my lunch break. Search was usually in the end given up as I couldn't afford to take an any longer lunch break!!
Today I decided was the day. I checked the logs, and another cacher who I had been chatting with about this had now made the find... so I did a quick EAF - email a friend - while I was still at work about to head out. Sweet. Got a bit of a nudge to narrow down my search area.
Arrived at a now all to familiar GZ. I had been at the correct one every time... but somehow this time I managed to walk right up to the cache. I guess before I had been expecting something slightly different, and there are oh so many places to hide a cache here!
But I was super stoked to find the cache now! I still can't believe it took so long...
And with no muggles around and crafty parking, I was back at work within 30 minutes! And noone stole my parking space while I was gone!! Score!!

The demons were hounding me today and the angels had taken a holiday.... everything was going wrong but as I was in the area I thought I would do this cache that has been on my "to do" list for over a year. Got the co-ordinates easily and the rain had slowed to a drizzle while I was spending up too large in the mall, so with purchases (half for geocaching) were dumped in the car I started the search. 20 mins later I resorted to PAF. By the time the word was out of her mouth I was saying "found" I was literally on top of it. I felt so dumb as I have found several of these hides before. TFTC and the series. One and the final to go...
After a couple of frustrating DNFs over the last few months, and after a nudge from a previous finder, this was a pretty quick find today. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about in the late afternoon....a nephews B'day party to attend. A bit of time to kill so revisited this one. I got a one word hint from TW.....doh.....Pulled up and had the area to myself. Cache in hand within seconds - I'm sure that I checked there last time?! Clearly not well enough! Nice to tick this one off and complete the series. A nice series. Cheers.
I had to keep my girls awake and amused for a couple of hours before we met up with family for dinner. We decided to grab a couple of multis that I had the finals for but DNFed. This was the first of two and I was stumped once again. I searched everywhere and then used a PAF and I couldn't believe it as I spoke to my PAF that I knew what I was looking for and had my hand on it several time before. I'm glad this one didn't have mystical numbers in the cache. As I was still able to secure the final of this series without finding this cache!!! Phew. Nice to put this series to rest it has been fun.
Thanks for the cache and series.

We waited for a bus to take muggles away at the first stage, gathered the information and walked off to look for the final (it might have been better if we had driven). It took quite a while at GZ, but perseverance and a visit to Dick Smith paid off. We finally made the find.
I missed finding this one after it was published ages ago. That was about 1000 finds ago and I guess that I am a bit wiser as I went right for it today. Cheers La Vista
Finally found this one. Must have looked everywhere but where it was. PAF'd and found it immediately. Doh. Now were did I hide my notebook with all the numbers? Tftc and for the series. Great fun
639 - In snow and ice I began this Air’s quest,
But gumbooted attire was not the best,
For blending in with the muggles about
So I took my leave, disappointed and face a-pout.
Back this week minus gumboots and gear,
Observed the sign, and began looking there
Not sure if I reached heights of O2 ecstasy
But AIR assuaged my caching dependency
Is it now time to get some therapy?

Been pondering this one for most of the year. A chat with the CO at a recent event provided a nudge in the right direction.
Out and about on a cold nighttime adventure. Collected the numbers an age ago but never had a chance to seriously look at GZ. Without co-ords (where the hang did I put those?), just going on what I remembered the calculated GZ to be, I had a quick look at my best guess...but came up empty handed. Will have to regather info and recalculate co-ords and start again me thinks....oh well. Another day.
I was driving past so thought I may as well pick up the numbers. These were quickly obtained but it took me a few minutes to head off for the final because I had parked on some leftover snow and did a nice wheelspin on exit lol.. bet I couldn't do that on purpose. Headed to GZ but quickly realised my gumboots were not quite the attire needed for this and beat a hasty retreat. I'll be back when I can blend in with the surroundings.
Oh joy found it after completely over thinking where it could be. In the end Mr B found it - just there. TFTC
Made that hard work. Think we overthunk that for a bit. Happy to leave smiling.
Thank you for placing this cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.
I wish I could say I found this unassisted, but after 3 and a half hours looking, 2 of them with friends, I was stumped. So with a little help from Taskmaster, i have finally found this elusive cache, right where I thought it was. I honestly must have looked everywhere but where it is.
Brilliant hide La Vista, now to log the final....
Brilliant hide La Vista, now to log the final....
The first time I spent half an hour looking, this time reading a few more logs and trying to stay out of the rain I thought about where it could be hidden, and found it. Not where I expected it to be but a great find
Practically drove right to it. Walked right on over to it right away and found it within seconds. I like this type of hide. Cool!
Quick to solve and quick to find. We grabbed the numbers on a drive by then looked on Google Earth at home to see where the GC was. This gave a VERY accurate indication of where to look. Next time in the area we, as Mporokosa said, drove right to it. NICE hide. TFTC
WP1 was trivial, got to where we were sure the final would be and scoured the whole area multiple times!! Could not find it for the life of us, tried everywhere we could.... This one has us stumped for now, luck it is just around the corner, I will be back... Could possibly have been covered with fresh bark or moved?
Another fun cache. Finally found it after having been right next to it for 15 minutes! TFTC
sure I have already tried to log this. Anyway - finally found my closest to home cache after looking last year in the rain with 2 grumpy children. Came back with Wahine and it took us awhile and about to leave when stood in the spot where the poem made sense and wondered why couldn't find it and then - I did. Thanks for the great series.
I'm not to proud to admit that it took two of us to find this, but you must know that we persisted in the rain today and we may just have been here once before. Clever clever hide. (It seems so obvious now!) 2 down, 2 to go. TFTC
Took a moment or two to figure out the final location, but got there in the end! TFTC
TFTC. The air was cold and damp as I tracked down this tricky cache. However at GZ the air was slightly more tropical. Thanks for the tidy hide.
Found WP1 back on 2 July. This gave enough information, along with the other A&D caches to find the final. I've been keeping my eye on this cache since, waiting for the mall to re-open. It re-opened yesterday and I'm not surprised to see that this was found immediately. Today was my first chance - cache found in the first place I looked (but I had to look twice). TFTC and the series.
After reading all of camocrab's abrupt notes all over the place I decided that this one could be ok. I picked up the numbers for WP1 a couple of days ago after working on the others in the series a bit. The area has now been declared safe and I was able to find the cache in the first place I looked. Very cool hide by the way. TFTC (351)

Needed a second look in more daylight. Last of the elements, now on to the final. Another great hide. TFTC
This one probably took us the longest to hunt down But I got the in the end, now for the last one.
Thanks Bitsprayer

With this one finished, that's all 4 A&D caches done today. A bit of a hard time on the final (not sure about that clue) but a decent search of all the nooks and crannies eventually had it in hand. Nice one, to the final we go! TNLN Thanks
The cryptic did not work for us but noted its significance after we found the cache. TFTC
6175 A fun series, this one had our heads scratching... then the lightbulb turned on... doh! Felt like an Air head here, many thanks for a tricky hide.
Found on an early morning bike around the city. Thanks for fixing the cache so quickly. TFTC
