So checked this one and the park that is located in has been completely fenced off.
I would like this one to remain as the park will open up again after the north west rail link is completed.

Hi reviewer,
With no finds in almost a year and no response from the last note to co I think may be the to interview. The park where the clues are found are no longer accessible due to construction of the north west rail link being put in. Maybe the co needs to change to a traditional cache.
Either way it could be time for some intervention.

CO please check cache. I'm a frequent at Castle Hill, and recent construction for the new train line may mean that the second coordinate is now inactive. That's the area + path around 'Lone Pine'
However, I figured out GZ before and it seems that the area around GZ is ok. Make it a traditional?
Thanks.

We looked first in what seemed too obvious a spot but which fitted the hint. We widened our search slightly and found it much more subtly hidden. SL, took TB, TFTC.
A find on this special day! A little tight to extract but a nice hide. Thanks imgettingannoyed.
A successful return to this cache on a quiet Monday morning post rush-hour. Found after a bit of rooting around. Deposited "Pete the Pirate" TB in this cache.
Got clue and found final coords OK. However, no obvious hiding place in the vicinity without rooting around and looking suspicious. I will try and return during a quiet period when there are less muggles around. I cannot return to the motherland with a DNF cache hanging over my conscience.
With council moving Anzac Day mourning service to Kellyville to make way for new rail station here, the forgotten rail station is returning in 2018. This multi has approx 3years left before construction works begin. On way home this late afternoon, needed a break from traffic with a cache. Found parking across the road and walked up to info board where I gathered required numbers. Simple maths and Coords set off I went for a short walk where search the obvious holes. Expanded my search and had CIH. Thought it was glued to its hidey hole. SL Took Fabulous travel bug. Great hide imgettinganoyed.
Talk about Muggle Capital. This was so hard to do in the day.
We looked like Botanists diverting muggles attention to every tree, flower and fauna near GZ
Been meaning to knock this off for a long time and was glad to give a local Multi ago
SL Left TB TFTC imgettingannoyed

Out in the area clearing up a few caches, wandering down the road we stumbled into WP2 and gathered the info for the final.
At GZ we searched for a while after almost conceding defeat kimbo looked elsewhere and found the cache, not where we were concentrating!
TFTC
Your geocaching name is perfect... i'm also getting annoyed as this is my third dnf for the day. Didn't want to do a lot of prodding around as there were loads of school kids wandering in the park and waiting for the busses across the street.
Somehow the GZ doesnt appear to match the clue exactly, which further puzzles....Will try and drop back another time and take a better look before we return to Canada. Darwould... ps did finally find a cache today after this one!

Well we had our work cut out for us today waypoint 1 was a bit tricky waypoint 2 gpsr was playing up gz easy find by geogirl 8,sl tftc.
Loved the hint, it confirmed we were looking in the right place. A few likely places all proved to be fruitless, and then the 4 y.o. geokid spotted something - bingo! Thanks for the cache and the history lesson.
Did the other waypoints several months back, came back today to finish it. Good history lesson, just waiting for some muggles to go so I can return the cache!
This one took longer than it maybe needed to! Being sick I probably wasn't thinking or looking right... Had to PAF and confirm either way TFTC, I love this kind of great local info
nice multi cache. Had this on the radar for a long time but never managed to get around to completing it.
Would recommend though that the cache size be changed to a small now instead of the micro as listed. Geotooter - had previously found it as a micro was also in tow.

I went to WP1, read the description and managed to work out where WP2 was.
Headed towards WP2.
2/3rds fo the way across the park, the batteries in the GPS died, but I was able to find the right spot for the WP, and I also fluked on remembering the right date info.
Walked back to the carpark (near Mall Ratz), and grabbed some spare batteries.
Worked out GZ, and walked back to find it, but failed to find the micro on the first look, so I checked the logs (not up to date on the GPS, so last 2 were dnf) and was not confident it was there, but went back for one more look, only to find 2 high-school muggles settling onto the grass a couple of metres away, so I gave up - obviously I was not destined to find it today.

3rd time lucky, back where I rightly DNF'd the first time and after being a bit misdirected the second time (can't always trust PAF). TFTC.
Double check the coordinates when I got home, pretty sure we were looking in the right area. Better luck next time.
A return visit after DNFing a few months back. Near her gate and below the ground, I lifted a stone but nought was found.
Well hidden cache. Managed to get it despite the maintenance guys hanging around. Thanks for the cache and an interesting bit of history.
#for today: 1, TOD: Night, Conditions: Sprinkling, Cache Condition: Excellent, Others: Nil, Notes: Nil.
Really pleased that this cache is back on line, after finding that the cache had been muggled after a previous attempt.
For those that follow - it is worthwhile noting that Sunday night around 9pm is a great time for this log as there is no-one around.
Signed a brand new log:)
Thanks for reinstating this cache IGA!!

Off line pending cache check/replacement,
I will check it out this week, however due to the high muggle activity in the area it may take some time to check this

I have confirmation that I was in exactly the correct spot. Cache therefore been muggeled and needs to be replaced.
If CO contacts me, I would be quite happy to install a suitable container and log book, in order to re-establish this cache.
Would also like permission to log this find.

I have been eyeing this off for some time as it is the last caceh in my immediate area. Have tried a couple of times but the high muggle activity has thwarted me. Got out early on a very wet long weekend Sunday morning to ensure no one was around so I could have a good search.
Spent quite a while scoping out likely spots and finally zeroed on a very likely spot that matched all the clues and previous logs. I am convinced I had found the hide but alas no cache container:(
Given Baktrak's DNF seems this cache needs some attention.
Will now go home a dry off-it poured down

I'm pretty sure I found the right spot, something with lots of holes, some covered, in the right place. In the holes were a frog, a redback spider and some white grubs in brown slime, but no cache. Ran out of time - will try again soon.
This was an interesting find. Stage one was quick. The final stage took me about 30Meters away from where I found the cache. I ended up finding it in a spot where it took me 5-10minutes to remove it! WOW crazy! I signed the log and put it where I got it...slightly easier to remove for the next cacher...I hope. TFTC
Found it without the WPs or GPS but found and read the information sign anyway out of interest. Have driven past here plenty of times but have never been in.

Didn't have the updated cache description (with part of the missing bit filled in!)...so only ended up with half the co-ords. had a bit of an attempt without the other half - but no avail ...i'll def be back in a few days now that i have the full co-ords!! lol
We didn't even do the co-ords as the first sign has been moved due to road work. Just follow the hint and you will find. The rock is in an unlikely location.
Stumbled upon this while looking for the lost pine in area close by couldn't catch that one yet but my geokids managed to find the lost railway just by accident
weird how it works
thanks

After reading previous logs and hints, no GPS needed. Plenty of muggles about so stealth was required. Signed the log and quickly returned without being noticed. TFTC
Was walking through this park on my way elsewhere, and thought I'd check to see how this GZ cache is doing. And it's just fine! Have just done the new four-part 'Forgotten Railway' series and am glad that our old Sydney railroad heritage is being remembered.
As luck would have it, parked in Castle Towers today (we were planning to see a movie but it was full) so hit WP2 first. Anna then needed the amenities and spotted the hide without me having to solve the coordinates. So that saved us a bit of a walk down the street. TNLNSL, been meaning to get this one for a while expecting work to send me back up here which they used to do fairly regularly. Thanks imgettingannoyed.
We missed WP1! Has it gone in the works going on?
Soon found WP2, then we forced GZ!?!
TFTC.

The end of the line for the Forgotten Railway. This was actually the first cache in this series that we located today but it proved very difficult to extract it from its home. We left it initially and returned later in the day for a second go. Bifocal was doggedly determined and eventually proved successful. TFTC.
Wow, my first multi. Felt a bit weird around GZ (you'll know what I mean, being a man and all), but no one was paying me any attention anyway. Nice find.
I found a small ikea pencil and found some rocks in the tree lifted it up and saw a small black thing I tried to pull out the other one but I squashed some slugs and It was had pulling it out because the last person shoved it in we were going to put a trackable coin but it didn't fit. Tftc
I found the numbers for the first set of clues, but nowhere to be found was the clues for the second set, so I just took a guess, how many can there be?
At my estimate for GZ, I pafed a friend to be told I was very, very close, and it was soon in hand.
Thanks for the hunt I had here.

Did WP1 and WP2, then went and found the lone pine in this same park and finally got to GZ and found the cache.TFTC
A nice easy multi with a traditional cache nearby to pit up along the way. What more can you ask for? Thanks
A quick multi once we scrolled through the info to find WP2. Some interesting history too! Two spots close to each other. If not one, try the other.TFTC
sevabo and I arrived at the first waypoint and that I realised that my GPS battery was almost flat ..., lucky we found the first description then my battery went dead and also sevabo's GPS battery was almost flat too so her battery put in my GPS because we need the description then we went to the second waypoint and at final waypoint we found it easy. Thank good that her battery was in red so phew for us! TFTH SL

WP's easily located, although some muggles got curious at what we were up to. Nicely hidden in GZ. TFTC SL
We found Forgotten railway, Castle Hill Station (GC237QX), our 2nd of 9 finds and our 1270th overall find. WP's easly located and enjoyed the lengthy stroll to GZ.....TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache, imgettingannoyed. Deputy D0g and SherpaNT
Easy find. Found it with Millfinders and with one of the patrols from 1st North Rocks Scouts. Great activity for the Scouts.

Another cache for those train buffs (that includes me). A walk around the area in the afternoon sun gathering the data required & the cache was ours. However, I had to retrieve it due to Calypso62 "fat" fingers. After signing the log, replacing it was a problem as a group of teenage muggles descended on the park. A milkshake & doughtnuts followed to allow us to kill time until we could return the container to the cache. Although the teenage muggles had gone, there were now several muggles & children aroung so some more time was wasted until they too left. As such, care needs to be taken retrieving & replacing the cache due to high muggle area. TFTC TNLN

Woohoo... Cache Number 300!!! The numbers are slowly climbing. A lovely sunny afternoon for Geotooter and me to stroll around Castle Hill looking for the information at the two waypoints so we can find this cache. I already knew about the Castle Hill station as Geotooter is a train buff and has often spoken of this location. With the co-ords gathered we set off for GZ. I decided to wear my yellow hi vis vest to "blend in". There were some other workers similarly dressed in the park today. The cache location was soon spotted but my fingers could not grab the container from its hide. Geotooter stepped in and pulled it free. Found at 1:20pm. As we were signing the log on a nearby picnic table, some local youths showed up kicking a somewhat deflated soccer ball. We left the picnic table to return the cache and they grabbed the table. It was obvious we would have to wait till they left so as not to give the hiding spot away. What a good excuse to grab a choccy milkshake and some fresh cinnamon donuts while we waited!! Geotooter then returned the cache ready for the next finder (although again not without some difficulty from nearby muggles.)
This is a lovely park but a little too close to Eve's house for my liking. Thanks IGA for another cache in the Hills District with a history component.

Before heading out I did a bit of reading up on the old train line. Interesting reading. The cache waypoints were easily found, although the cache itself took a little more searching. A great multi that opened my eyes to a piece of local history. Thank you.
Thanks to imgettingannoyed for recommending a great piece of railway history. I really enjoyed it. Both my father and his brother worked on the US railways during the 1940s and 1950s and I grew up with trains on my mind and had large model train set. Had more or less forgotten Castle Hill's 'terminus' area. I especially like the old railway signal in the park!
I surprised myself by finding this one very quickly. GZ clue was great!
Cache is safe and dry and in good condition. SL.
Will upload a couple of photos of the incredible old railway signal.
BTW, I parked in the nearby shopping centre car park and only had a short walk to the plaques and to the park itself.
Rather quiet here on a sunny winter's late morning, so I searched in peace.

Woohoo! FTF!
No not really, actually third. I saw this one come up about 930pm last night and planned accordingly thinking no one would bother with a multi on a cold wet night. Grabbed geoson and we headed to Castle Hill arriving about 650am. Found waypoint 1 pretty quickly and I actually knew the answer to WPT2 as I'm interested in old railway history, so we plugged in the final coords and off. Made a reasonably quick find after a false start - two spots are rather similar. Opened the cache thinking we were a chance of FTF to find that RAGs and IFeelU found it late last night! Crikey this is getting hard! Signed the log and replaced. Great idea. Thanks IGA. We've found all your caches now.

I hear you Yurt! But in my defence I must have missed you by seconds as I left the cache after logging a find at 6:49 AM this morning, having missed the FTF which i Feel u claimed 11:30ish last night....
I was most dissapointed to have missed the FTF on this one too as he had not and still has not logged a FTF find on it which would have saved me a reasonable trip up here this morning. To be honest I was pretty dirty about coming all the way up here for the FTF to find out I've missed it simply because a log was never done in time.
No regrets though as 'I'm getting annoyed' always puts out a quality cache, these coords were all spot on, I have some interest in this old rail history for another cache or two down Parra way! See what I can do, Thanks for the 2nd to find Nice work

Yes FTF , sorry guys, this is my first chance to sit and log!! I was hesitating to go and cache in a miserable weather like this, but noticed that it's not in the bush or mountains, so I headed and quickly found waypoint 1 & 2, of course the final target was obvious from the hint! I was confused too Yurt, with another similar spot!!!! but I found the cache easily after eleminating that possibility.
Great hide and I believe it will get many DNF as with good weather you'll have to get a female with you to be out of suspecious!!! hahaha
