We’re passing through this beautiful area while traveling in our motorhome on a 6 month trip around the country from our home in SW FL. We’ve never been to this area before.
Will send answers to CO and upload a pic in a minute.

Pictured/painted Rocks along the Lake Superior shoreline. Painted Desert in eastern Arizona. Now we've just discovered the Painted Canyon. Thanks Teddy for your conservation foresight - - we see your rich heritage in many areas where we travel.
This facility and its associated park were unexpected finds. Summer cumulus dotted a mild late spring day and we took the time to read about the geology and photograph its topography - - including the 'slumps'.

Traveling west on I-90 we needed to take a break. This was a perfect place to stop.
It was jus a perfect day to visit Bad Lands. Thanks for showing this wonderful canyon and very interesting geological story. TFTEC
US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 23. Time to cross a few more US states of the list for Caching, starting in Casper, Wyoming. Today was a westward drive from Belfield to Forsythe. We did some freeway side caching and an explore of a few towns along the way. The area was open today, but we were too early for the visitor center. That did not stop us looking out at the amazing landscape and collecting the information for this cache. e-mail sent by Sol de Lune for all three of us. Thanks.

Sol Del Lune provided answers to CO for the team.
Our first cache stop for the morning and looks like its one of the best times to visit the overlook. Fanastic view this morning..
starting in Belfield, ND and heading to Montana, stopping in Glendive and Miles City. We where originally going to stay in Miles but big rodeo meant we had to push as little further on and ended up staying in Forsyth. Today we where collecting our quota or Montana caches
Our main aim was to visit and geocache in a few more US States.
Greetings from Canberra Australia.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, South & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Visiting from Australia and found with Albida and mtrax during our 4 week US adventure...
After overnighting at a neat little motel in Belfield, we were now headed for an overnight stop in Montana. Managed to grab a few caches and stop at a few neat places along the way.
1st stop was this earthcache. Loved the views over the area and after a couple of photo's we gathered the required info and after a bit of deliberation we came up with our responses. E-mail has been sent...hopefully all is ok.
Thanks for showing us the area...and a bit of history if it all. Greetings from Australia.....

This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! We are from ohio and on an adventure. We saw some real beautiful scenery here! Thank you for the earth cache! I am sending the answers for JAMZT and myself. Thank you
Email sent. Posting photo, too. Canyon is larger than I thought from a distance.
Email sent. Beautiful canyon and a very interesting earth cache. Lots of information. Thanks.
The area is currently closed for the season. I was already back on the road by the time I thought about hiking in. Didn't know if the law dogs would get picky about someone walking in this time of year.
I stopped here last summer and forgot to log...Such a beautiful location, Thanks for bringing me here!!
October Road Trip 2013
I had five days off of work and decided to head west on a road trip to try and finish up some challenge caches that I have been working on. I left Minnesota to drive to western Nodak, up into Saskatchewan, looped through Montana, heading home through Sodak, and finished up in Minnesota again. It was a fun trip by myself. I ended up with 2751 new miles on the car and caching in 67 different counties and 70 different DeLorme pages. Thanks to all the cache hiders that made this a possibility, especially in the desolate areas of North and South Dakota.
Well, it is back open. No government shutdown to keep me out. I am pretty sure I have been here before. Nice to have a reason to come back. I have been poking around the Badlands of North Dakota for the last couple of days. Very pretty landscape. I enjoyed another lesson in the geology of this fascinating area.

Arrgh, the park is indeed closed, but we hiked up to GZ anyhow and enjoyed this fine vista of Painted Canyon. Watch a lone Buffalo down below us a few hundred yards away, but could not spot any other wildlife today. Camped at the nearby Sully Creek State primitive campground just S of Medora after admiring Painted Canyon. Thanks for the Earth Cache, even if we could not figure out question 2.
Loved this cache. By far my favorite spot of the whole 4 day trip. I did hike/jog out the trail to where it starts to descend into the canyon so that I could get a different view, but I definitely didn't have time to hike further despite me wanting to. Truly awesome spot. I hope they didn't close the gate to it since the Government shut down.
Thanks for the 3 great earthcaches that I was able to see during my trip! Favorite point given.
Part of my 4 day, 3,341 mile, 8 state, 3 province, $672 geocaching trip! The insane things we do for this hobby! Although tiring averaging over 800 miles/day, it was a truly amazing trip that colored in a lot of new territory on my map, brought me to some amazing places that I would never have gone to were it not for geocaching, and gave me plenty of time to reflect on life, family, and the beauty of the world in which we live. Special thanks to my amazing wife for allowing me to go off on this trip. Although she loves going with me when I geocache (most of the time) she was not interested in this kind of road trip LOL. I was able to move lots of trackables and find some great geocaches in the USA and Canada. Thanks to all the owners whose caches I chose to visit on my trip.
