Sick of this one going missing... so it needs to go. It frees up the place for another hide somewhere.
Found on a warm sunny afternoon. With cabbos attending the recent event at Penola and taking a different route home.

Said our goodbyes to hevwalker, Moneydork, Freddo and friends, big hugs and safe trip home.....Cabbos, 3LG and myself went off to get a couple more Penola caches before heading home ourselves. Quick find, sign and replace.....wow first time I've seen water in this lake ....lol but still not enough to put a boat in and follow the boat rules posted....geohubbie and I have been here before to find the cache but it was missing then. ...yay found this time. Had a lovely walk around the lake so 3LG could find another that Cabbos and I had done before. Gorgeous views. TFTC
This was a great hideaway, after living in the Limestone Coast all my life it was nice to discover something new! Found with KHodshon
Staying overnight on our tour of western Victoria. Didn’t realise it was hear because we parked on top of it. Tftc. And yes we’ll eventually get to Victoria
was in the mount for the night to make a delivery, and while here i thought i would check out the ghost mushrooms.
stopped here to strech the legs and let the geopup go for a strech.
turned the gps on to see if there was a nearby cache and low and behold 17m away was a cache.
found in the first place looked, just had to wait for the muggle and dogs to disappear to make the quick find and sign

This is a new area for us, had no idea that there were so many lakes around. This cache was located fairly easily, the hint helped. Thoroughly enjoying our trip in this area. Thanks Beaker
Another quick find with Bini2910 another place I never knew was here and I drive past it all the time!
Of course if there is onky place it can be, we looked in the other place first! Replaced so snake arms not required. But fave for the location and bringing us here. TFTC
The last one rehiding it must have been snake man. Didn’t make it that hard for the next one showing up, still kind of an exercise ...
Couldn't find it so rang CO to confirm that I was looking in the right place. All confirmed so replaced the container. Thanks BB
We are extremely late logging our finds for our Penola/Robe holiday. ?? As we can't go out and find caches in Melbourne at the moment it's a great time to finally catch up on logging our holiday caches. It's lucky that we keep notebooks with records of all our finds, particularly now that this cache has been archived.
We decided to stop for a few days in historic Penola before heading to Robe for a couple of weeks holiday with the geobeagles. ?? We had passed through Penola when we had previously holidayed in Robe but we had never had a good look around. We parked nearby and then wandered over to GZ. There was really only one spot to hide a cache so we found the cache quickly and signed the log at 3:55 pm. TNLN.
Thanks Beaker for the well-hidden cache and for bringing us to such a picturesque location. ?? After finding the cache we went for a walk around the no water "lake". The walk was quite slow as the beagles had to smell everything along the way. ?? It's a shame that this cache had to be archived after being muggled so many times as it was a good hide and a lovely location.

Heading home after the event in Alice and grabbed this along the way. Stopped to have some lunch here at this very dry lake but thankfully made a quick find.
Thanks -Beaker- for placing the cache for us to find.

Suscoe was enjoying a few days at Mount Gambier and surrounds this week leading up to Easter.
We experienced a strange but familiar pattern of weather with a storm last weekend, with hail, rain and strong winds and towards the end of the week we had calm and sunny days. Just like home.
Anyway, we enjoyed the caching, so many different locations and interesting hides.
Well done to all the cachers for the work done in creating and hiding their caches for us to find.
It was a stinker of a day, cold cold winds, rain and hail. Sunday was not the day to be out in the open for too long.
Thanks to -Beaker- for this hide, lunchtime and we enjoyed the no water views.

Not sure about the date because it was a long time ago. But was a nice place. Week-end stayed there for a while with the van tftc
Spent 20 minutes looking for this cache. I think it has been removed by someone. We believe that we found where it was supposed to be, but nothing there.
Spent the night at the camp area so thought I would check it out despite the DNFs. Brought a couple of geotools and agree, it's not there.
Unless its been put back up to high by the last person to find it who was a first timer, its not there.
Searched right up in the obvious spot but no luck today
What ashame that the lake is dry
I am sure at that time many families enjoyed the facilities
Free camp area close by was being used by travellers

Might have exceeded my bag limit on trout here today. Lovely lake and good to see all rules were obeyed while present. TFTC
Quick find with geo kids StunkyPanda2006 & gnomeo2007. We contemplated a dip in the lake, but decided time was against us - we could afford to wait for water to appear.... TFTC
Cool sneaky easy find once you learn more about caching.. Dance Laugh Sparkle - Big smiles
How bizarre, yep everything you would need on a nice warm day out at the lake but water!!!!
Being quite warm today and with no water to paddle in we found the cache, signed the log and replaced as found and away we went.
We could imagine how lovely this area would be with a whole heap of water in it, people would be lining up to get their boats in the water.
Thanks -Beaker- for the cache and bringing us to a little tucked away place. TNLNSL

Returning home after visiting family in Mt Gambier for a few lovely days. TT016 travelled & cached with me until Naracoorte then said our goodbyes. This was a quick find in an obvious spot. A family of muggles were picnicing near by but were not bothered by us. TFTC Beaker
Yes - there ws only one place to hide the cache and it was found quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. There were certainly no fishing muggles as the lake was dry and the boat ramp high and dry. There were, however, a couple of campers in the area. Thanks for the cache =Beaker-
Easy to figure out where it should be, however it was that far "up" little arms struggled to reach! Have lowered for next person TFTC
Found while visiting family in the vicinity. Beaut spot for a picnic. Love this redgum country. Easy find. TFTC
Needs new log book and clip is a bit broken but nice lake with lots of sheep
No water today, we would love to see this lake with water in it, it would be beautiful. The only water around today was what was falling from the sky. SL TFTC
First find for today on the last day of our road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide via the great ocean road. We will of spent 9 days travelling between Melbourne and Adelaide with many of those days being in the vicinity of the great ocean road using earth caches to guide us through this geological wonderland.
Today we are driving from Mount Gambia to Adelaide, which with a few cache stops and sights to see is going to be along day.
Was surprised to get to this cache a find there was one element of the lake missing, which with the water skiing sign made it even funnier.

We are Touring Australia and now camped at Tarpeena it was time to set out and explore nearby.
Nice cache, bit confusing as you can apparently stop here with a caravan/motorhome but not a tent[?]
Thanks for helping us to explore SE SA using Geocachingas a guide.
