Thick track to this one today as we made our way to GZ, a lovely spot on the coast. We made an easy find at GZ thanks to the hint, cache is all good then made our way along the beautiful coast back to the carWith Nettieknows on a trip to the west coast of Tasmania to attend and run the Zeehan parkrun. We made a small trip out of it exploring the area with Strahan, Zeehan and Trial Harbour on the cards. A few finds along the way. Thanks for the cache
Husband wanted to look at the camp site wed met some travelers who told us it was their favourite spot in Tassie. TBH we preferred Marrawah.Realizing the cache was Less than 200m away we decided to walk along the very overgrown track to get to the cache. We hunted around for a while to spot the shells. We rock hopped back along the beach. TFTC
The last of our three caches in trial harbour. We did not have 4 wheel drive or time to go exploring much more. This was a fun find. The track looked like it was a bush bash but opened up after the start. Just some bog to deal with near the end. RG enjoyed the bird spotting.Took a photo of the trees, does get a bit windy here. Stunning today though.TFTC flange and tribe.Day 9 of our Aussie trip and today we are going from Strahan to Moina, our base for Cradle Mountain. We stopped at a couple of small towns on the way through, but the wee gem for us was Trial Harbour, which is a pretty spot, was warm and sunny today and had some great birdlife.Another good day exploring what this cool state has to offer.
Located with Ricardinho A beautiful wee detour, I loved Trial Harbour & the epic bird spotting here RNZ made quick work of locating the cache. Day 9 of our Tassie/Sydney trip and we are making our way to Moina from Strahan. A beautiful drive through the rain forest to Cradle Mountain, with the highlight being a side trip to Trial Harbour. The birdlife here was epic!!! Another awesome day exploring Tassie TFTC
We’ve been to the campground before but didn’t realize there was a cache here. Found it today. Ground a bit soggy underfoot along the path but worth it for the find. Cute logbook Tftc
First visit to Trial Harbour. A lovely little town and area. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Camped here overnight and made the short walk to this cache in the morning. Thanks flange_1&tribe
The trail to the cache was a bit overgrown in a few places. My phone kept pointing me too high. Finally got enough reception to get the hint which I needed.
BIG surf today. Mahalo For The Cache. Ancognito from Maui.

We found this cache while exploring the west coast area of Tassie for a week.
Today we were exploring around Trial Harbour.
We parked at the camp ground and made our way over the creek and onto GZ.
Once we arrived we found the cache ok but spent ages looking around the area, it was a interesting spot with rock pools and waves coming in.
TFTC and showing us this area.

Finished work early today so thought I'd go for a drive and get some Caches and this was one of them. It was a beautiful day for a change, after all the rain we have had. The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC.
Its a beautiful location.

Thanks for the cache Flange_1&Tribe, sole occupants of the campsite, right on the shore, million dollar views, and a cache to boot
Life doesn't need to get much better than that. The cache is a true time capsule, it could have been just placed, but it's been there for 5 years. Regards from Victourer

Nice walk to the GC, over the flowing creek. Stunning coastline on a picture perfect day.
With help from GeoWife. Thanks. Great walk along coastline. Now heading back to camp on rocks and we can see a sea cave
Hello Smudha thank you for the cache
As we drove out we past some campers cooking breakfast so I asked if there was any for us but they just laughed.
Another couple were camped at the end of the road.
We took the walking track out to GZ where your cache was quickly found.
We rock hopped back along the coast to the car.
As we started to drive out the couple had started to cook there breakfast, they also didn't appreciate the seriousness of my request of breakfast.

Our last day in the west and north west after a lovely four day mini break. Today we are exploring Zeehan and Trial Harbour and Queenstown before heading back along the Lyle to Hobart.
Wow Trial Harbour is very beautiful and idealic, rugged and windswept.
Enjoyed this short stroll through bush then onto rocks to find the cache. Quickly located and logged. TFTC

Beware a black crab was guarding the cache. A spectacular spot giving us the energy to cycle back up the hill to Zeehan.
Went exploring around the Zeehan area today. We had heard nice things about Trial Harbour and with five caches, we were there! For this one we parked at the end of the road, then walked down the track to the creek. Only today it was a raging torrent and we were debating whether to continue with our two small geokids. But we did and we got over carefully, and continued on the overgrown track that was a bit muddy in places. Once down on the rocks, it was a quick find and the kids loved the rock hopping on this wet and wild West Coast day. TFTC and for the adventure.
Wow, great excursion down to this one. A superb, wild coast, well worth the trip from the main road.
One of several caches found whilst exploring the area today. A nice short walk, super views, and a quick find. TFTC

After a ripper nights camp nearby, and hearty breakfast of toast and vegemite, everyone was busy trying to fix a wounded landcruiser, so I ducked off for a quick walk.
I admired the views from the seat, before getting down to the business of finding the cache, which fortunately didn’t take long, and a quick sign of the log then I hotfooted it back to camp

This was a nice walk from the campsite, where I was lucky enough to share a local crayfish for dinner! Check out the "singing rock" on the beach down from the campsite.
Travelling around Tassie for a couple of weeks with MizzJane.

Took a bit of looking as the seashells were covered by plants. But we found it took the traceable to be placed in mainland australia
Tassie Trip Day 39 - It is time for another day out in the country side from Queenstown it is lots of trips as the density is very low for caches so we went to Zeehan today with and couple of detours to cover some of those more remote caches so Trial Harbour and a really lonly cache that is on the other side of the river from Corinnia just to collect another smilie.
As it was lunch time we found a table on the way to this cache and stopped there for some lunch and coffee and after completing that we traveled further down the track and soon arrived at the end of the vehicle track and found another table we should have gone further in the first place but the track to the cache has become a little overgrown however it was still easy enough to follow. Arrive at GZ and soon had the cache in hand thanks to the hint and some stregic placed items.
Thanks flange_1&tribe for placing this cache for us to find here.

#9 find on a day's outing from Strahan to Trial Harbour seeing how many caches we can find. Drove up to the end of the camping area then took off along the track.
It was a lovely walk then scramble over the rocks for a quick find and after signing duties were performed I returned the cache to its hidey hole. Thanks for another cache flange_1&tribe.

Well up to date on my logs for once, well so I was thinking it turns out I have missed a few along the way going back months
So a quick generic log to mark my find, I more than likley found this while out caching with gooseandegg on one of our many caching trips.
Thanks for the cache and sorry about the poor and late log.

From one end of the bay to the other. It was busy on the road with campers. Campers of all types on all types of vehicles. It was funny watching a bloke trying to chat up two young ladies. No chance mate! Anyway we crossed a little creek/waterfall and lost TazScout (Mrs). No, she didn't fall or anything disastrous but decided it was safer to look after the car and keep it cool whilst we trotted on. Thanks to the clue we had no trouble finding the cache. Thanks for another one seventhrombus
There was a huge campervan parked at the entrance to the trail and we followed another trail down to the creek! Difficult creek crossing and once we crossed we then discovered the correct way to cross which we followed out! Lovely walk and a quick find.

i camped here for 2 nights and before enjoying a beautiful sunset, i walked the short distance to the cache, which i could easily find. TFTC!
Geovan safely set up at Zeehan, so we went for a drive this afternoon down to Trial Harbour. Dammit, did not download this one to the GPSr and left the tablet at home with the off line list. We must have walked to within metres of this cache, without knowing it was there....
Missed out on another one.
Missed out on another one.
New cache hidden and ready to find.
New log book, and some Alice in Wonderland Trinkets to trade.
New log book, and some Alice in Wonderland Trinkets to trade.
I have the replacement cache to hide back out there this Saturday. No excuse for the time it has taken to get it together and back out there.
Working from an offline list so we didn't realise this one had been temporary disabled but confirm that the cache isn't there although the shells were.
We have just adopted this cache. Went to check up on it and its gone. Will get a new container and fix this up in the next week
Hi all. "Imia" and I are the new owners of this cache (and a couple others). We have adopted them as the old owners live on the other side of the state and cant get over to maintain them.
We will head out sometime in the next 2 weeks and make sure they are in good order (once we find them...) and hopefully put some new trinkets in for people to trade.
Thanks guys

Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
Although quite a bit of evidence that others have searched before me.
Thanks anyway flange_1&tribe

We camped nearby to help a friend celebrate a milestone birthday. It was great to find a couple of caches as a bonus!
The walk to this cache is lovely. The stream is gorgeous and the varied plants and bushes just so lush and green.
We spent quite a bit of time on the beach looking at the amazingly varied rocks.
Thanks flange 1&tribe, gets a fav point from us.

Hi flange
Another great Trial Harbour cache!
The walk to and from GZ was very enjoyable albeit a tight track with some over grown areas; but easy to follow.
Found the cache quickly at 1405hrs.
TFTC and cheers

A short stay on the west coast, and this was a short but pleasant stroll
The cloud stayed away for a short minute for a nice view down the beach !
Thanks for the cache, flange_1&tribe !

I notice this cache was published in summer when the creek would have been "small". Not so today however. I chickened out at the torrent rushing over the rocks after the recent rains but intrepid geohubby very carefully navigated his way across and took off to GZ. He returned after a few minutes with a grin and thumbs up and once again carefully renegotiated his way back across the "small ceek" many thanks flange 1&tribe for a great hide in a beautiful area.[^]
After spotting a snake on the way in, we tried to stomp our way to GZ and watched our every step extra carefully, thus probably missing out on some of the great beauty of this area. Thanks to the hint, the cache was quickly spotted and we took in the incredible force of water on rocks. Amazing!

An awesome location and even more beautiful on a clear warm day like today. We searched a while before spotting the cache. Thanks flange_1&tribe
Found on our West Coast Wilderness holiday with whitewebbs. While staying at Zeehan we found several caches in the area and this was one of them. A very nice day on the West Coast and nice to revisit Trial Harbour for a cache, came here 30 years ago on our honeymoon. Thanks flange 1&tribe
Found with Tassie Trekkers while holidaying in the area. Nice walk to cache. TFTC.
Our second find on our visit to the town with friends Jan & Phil. Fantastic rocks and waves around here, as well as views along the coast. Took nothing, but Percy Penguin TB visited. Thanks flange 1&tribe.
Found at 14:52. A very awesome spot with great views and a nice piece of drift wood. Thanks.
Wow - Trial Harbour was the perfect place to camp last night!
Free camping, not crowded, no wind, great views, free firewood - it was near perfect. The only downside was that the firewood wouldn't burn (guess that's why it was left behind). I loved it here.
Found the cache in the morning before we left. Braved the leeches on the track and found it quite easily. Almost died of shock when the snake jumped out (that's mean!) but everything was ok.
Thanks for putting another cache in this awesome spot!

It decided to stop raining while we found this cache, so thanks for that. Once we found the creek we knew we were on track. Once at GZ a quick search found the cache. A slow walk back watching the waves as we walked...who would live anywhere else but Tas. Thanks for the cache
Arrived at the end of the road and started the walk, following Tim Tam until the junction.
The cache was found after a very short search. TNLN.
We then had a look around the rocks, watching the waves crashing against them. I enjoyed the walk and wonder where it goes...
Thanks for the cache.

Drove as far as possible and dave dad had to trek the rest of the distance over the rocks to cache. Beautiful day for our 4wd trip and great place to visit.
This was a magnificant cache today. Firstly there were a great variety of wild flowers in bloom on the sides of the track as we walked in. Secondly, the ocean was pounding the shore with huge waves breaking on the rocks sending spray many metres into the area. The white breaking waves, the white spray, the reds and browns of the rocks and the picture perfect blue sky combined to make very memorable images. The cache was a quick find but we stayed for some time to enjoy this wonderful spot today. TFTC
Ah, this wasn't that difficult, and with excellent co-ordinates and a truly 'give it away' hint, the cache was soon in hand. That little creek though did rise considerably after 31 mm of rain, so I just had to enjoy this part of the coast for a five night stay, just to get this cache. TFTC TN and left a weroamin token.
A short walk along the track soon had me at gz. The clue made for an easy find. TNLN Thanks
Find number 3 for the 21st day of our trip to Tasmania and the Mega Event. Found at 0945hrs, find number 233 for the trip so far. Nice easy find on our meanderings north. We made a detour for the 3 coastal caches in this area, but it turned into an epic trip to grab the cache at Granville Harbour, as we took the coastal track from Trial Bay to Granville Harbour. The Nuvi was emphatic it was a formed road, but it is far from it. One tough 4wd track, only suitable for well set up 4wds. We have 2 inches of lift, locked front and rear diffs, and we got hung up twice, needing a hilift for the first recovery, then the second required winching. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to travel the 17 or so km between the 2 caches. It did turn into a real adventure for my birthday. I dinally did get a chance to have a close look at some kelp at this cache. Its tough stuff.
Cheers

A weekend trip to Trial Harbour so we included some caching and found this one. TFTC
Quite busy today with quite a few surfies enjoying the smooth swell. So calm....for here anyway...boats were heading out. Found easily...good hide. A really nice collection of caches here now to make it worth the trip in...and some speccy coastline....many thanks flange_1&tribe...another top spot...Cheers.
Wow! First to Find!
This is our second FTF.
Coincidence that there was a plastic snake in the cache as there was a real one on the path to it.
Took nothing, left koala.
Great scenery - Thanks!
