I had worked out he puzzle when it first came out, but it is not an area that I frequent. Today a dive was canceled so I had a bit of free time and came down this coast.
A really nice walk to GZ, but nothing to be found when I arrived (apart from the zillion mozzies that is!)
Thanks, Robmc.

Well me hearties, we had the puzzle sorted before you'd walk the plank like, seeing a puzzle of our own be similar
and evince gave us the green light like, so we knew we be right
So we enjoyed the walk to the co-ords, and the views be real perty like
But the treasure be hidden too well and we didnt make off with no gold
Mey be our compass be broken?
We'll try again next time we sail this way

Arrr, 'twas one or two bells of the middle watch and I had the treasure map for ye plunder but a trip to yon shore was not in the offing for many a long month. It took a battle of those wheeled contraptions for me to sail down to these parts so I thought the treasure could be grabbed today before the battle began.
With me faithful compass in hand, I moored me galleon and set off across the desert in search of the hidden bounty. Ye treasure map was true and faithful and I had the booty in hand at 5 past four bells of the forenoon watch. While the booty within was plentiful, I decided to only sign the ship's log and head off for more treasure.
And so mates, it was back to the galleon to raise the jolly roger and head across the seven seas in search of more adventures and even more treasure. Arrrrr.
TNLNSL, although some of our doubloons had a visit to mark the event. Thanks Snakecatcher, me hearty .

I solved this one pretty quickly as I have seen a couple like it before. I had it on my list to attempt today because of the positive comments it receives and I am glad that I did. The cache container was fantastic, as was the entire theme of this cache.
I always admire cachers who put so much work into their caches.
Cheers,

Oh me harties, wot a grate treasure chest you Captain and your matelocks have hidden.
Really enjoyed working out the co-ords and then the find at 1515. A great cache SnakeCatcher, thanks.
Had to take the scorpion with the 'Track-a-Bear' as my birth sign is also represented by this
constellation. cloudglider

Found today at 1310 after solving the scurvy dog clues.
Didn't take too long as the answers jumped out at us.
The chest was opened with no problems and the treasure obtained.
Mighty fine effort on this cache.. well done, Captain.

#78 for us. Found today about 14:30
Well, pirates make you walk the plank, but I reckon I'm as thick as two short planks ! I looked that the poem and racked my feeble brain and couldn't come up with an answer. A call (well..an email) for help to Bushfire and to Snakecatecher provided a clue, but my rusty gears refused to engage. A second email was needed and this one contained the vital clue to the part that was coulding my vision. After that, it was a simple solve and verification, followed by a wait for the chance to make the find. A soccer match at Connewarre provided the opportunity and after a nice walk, a pretty easy find.
Evidence at GZ hinted that we weren't the first there this day !
What an awesome cache container. The opening process took a short while, but soon the treasure was there to see. TNLN
Great job and brilliant puzzle !

Found by Mary & David at 0915. The engineer did the puzzle with no trouble a couple of days ago. Loved the walk and the waves, then the treasure trove. Again the engineer was able to open the marvellous container quickly. Loved all the themed contents. Dropped off Keewee Geotag #1. Our thanks to Snakecatcher.
What a super cache!! Great work Snakecatcher, and the Treasure Chest is a work of art. Right down to the tricky opening.

EVINCE is now up and running. Hope this makes it easier for you to find the final Coords. Thanks to a friend for his help.
51st find for KirkyKrew. Worked out the puzzle yesterday afternoon but with work and Geokids playing sport, could not get out there until this morning. Found treasure without too much trouble but did take a few minutes to work out how to open (helped by the instrctions) . Took 2nd to find certificate along with a couple of little tatoos, left a pirate mini tin. Very impressed with the effort put into the theme and lots of thanks to snakecatcher for a terrific cache. It should be noted that some time was saved by advice given that stopped us heading down the wrong path. Thanks KirkyKrew

Looks like Bushfire has covered it all in his log.
The time that has taken to put this cache together is truly amazing.
With three heads trying to work out this puzzle one would think it would be straight forward, not so.
Read this hair pulling puzzle so many times Goewives not very happy tea is late and paid the price.
With dishes out of the way back to dam puzzle then the phone call came from Bushfire i think i have got it ,has a hit from the captain.
Jumped into Goewives car around to pick him up and of down the road all three GPS working over time.
At area with a bit of a walk and getting dark . Found cache logged in.
The cache one will have to see the work that has gone into this.
Thanks to Snakecatcher for this 5star cache.
We take our hats of to you.

GAFF5 Well after four or five hours of our lives being frittered away trying everything that we could think of to find the co-ords Bushfire and the two vicfires finally had this devious cache in hand just on dusk. We were very happy to have another joint FTF. WOW that’s my eighth this year.
A lot of thought has gone into the setting up of this cache as the Snakecatcher has done with previous caches.
When it was first published I thought of Benito Bonito the legendary pirate and his “Lost Loot of Lima†which some believe is still hidden somewhere in or around Queenscliff.
I have read and reread that rotten poem so many times that I just about know it off by heart but still the answer eluded us. Your friend Google did not help much, did he muck up the miles, and yes they would go in an Easterly direction to attack another ship. Hmmmme I don’t know, where is the clue.
Like all puzzles and caches it is easy once you know. Young vicfire even had to race down to Safeway and recharge his internet connection so that we could keep working on this cache.
It was at this stage that dinner was getting cold and the Goewives were not very happy with us that we relented and sought out the owner, he who catches snakes, why I don’t know for a push in the right direction.
The reply was very vague and cryptic but we still struggled and in the end decided to eat our dinners to keep the peace and then it was back to the task but we were still not getting anywhere. Well at this stage it was either eat humble pie or give it away for the night. Not willing to be beaten it was back onto the phone to the Captain of the pirates for another clue and this time the penny dropped and off we went again but this time in the right direction.
It was nearly dark as we pulled up at the parking location, good, nobody else around so grabbed the gear and off into the sand hills as per the cache notes indicated that we would have to do.
With the help of the P7’s the very well constructed booty was found but how do we gain entry? Eventually we found our way in to find a great amount of treasure.
We decided to leave the 2nd & 3rd treasures for the next two finders and I will give the vicfire team the FTF certificate as they are going to frame it. I used to have a Blackbeard but after a few years it turned grey and after nine years I whipped it off.
We had to use the P7’s to find our way back to the car as by this time it was completely dark and so ended a very interesting must do cache for anybody that is willing to take up a challenge.
NI-NO and thanks Snakecatcher for filling in a few enjoyable hours!!!!
