TFTC,
This cache is in need of a new container. filled with water turning the green substance to a mess. No log, added a new log in a dry bag and turned cache upside down.
This is a part of our adventure trip that takes us to the National Riley Rally on Philip Island, Bush walking at the Grampians that we missed last trip because of fires, a 50th with a friend on the Murray River and the Red Center Experience GC6825Z before returning home with skibum1 from America via Broken Hill, Lightning Ridge, Killcoy and Armidale.
Visited a group of trackables that will be left at the Alice Springs Event .

Took a little while to locate, don't understand what the cow bell had to do with the cache, signed the log and replaced. Thanks to travvy2000.
There were lots of strange trees nearby, needed the hint as the GPS was everywhere.
The lid of the cache could do with some work.
Thanks.

Out at work with geobrother in the area why not grab a couple of caches along the way. TFTC.
The rest of the family are away for the long weekend so the Geodogs and I headed out for a walk and to find a few caches along the way. I parked a little way up the road and we walked back to this one. It took a while to find as my GPSr was pointing to 16m away from where I eventually found it. We saw lots of pretty cows and the views are just gorgeous. The Geodogs were very interested in the huge wombat diggings/mansion nearby, so many burrows around here, it must be like wombat central here at night.
Thanks for a lovely walk on a beautiful spring afternoon
Thanks for a lovely walk on a beautiful spring afternoon
After looking behind dozens of likely trees we gave up and started the drive home only to suddenly see a possible spot stopped and bingo. Thanks
Cache #2 for the day took a little tracking down as the gps was well off the mark, but it did indeed make us smile once we saw it. The number of wombat burrows around gz is amazing. Sadly the cache itself removed our smiles quick smart. It was quite exposed with just a rock on top and the contents were very wet and very, very smelly. We managed to dry things out fairly well with a few tissues and luckily the logbook was only slightly damp. We disposed of 2 swag as they were beyond saving but the rest came up OK. With the housework done and the log book signed we gave the hide a makeover too, it should be muggle proof now and it matches the description in the log. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Nicely hidden! Kids enjoyed swapping trinkets after we tipped out a bit of water and slimey stuff.
Wow spotted the biggest fattest wombat crashing through here, gave us both a fright. an interesting back road.
So I can only guess a boy picked this cache location? I was actually quietly giggling to myself thinking about the opposite sexes fascination with all things that look like this when Geo daughter pointed up at the tree and said: " look crack Mummy crack tree has crack" well I was definitely LOLing then! A quick easy find in an area I have been often in the last few days. TFTC SL TNLN TBV
Oh yes I laughed at the tree! Nice quick find by myself for the first time ever in the company of the experts midaho and mightymidget. Tftc
Went off track on our way back to camp, great views of the countryside, with Midaho & Millsy tftc
Found it on our way to Mt Evelyn for lunch......very nice views around here.....tftc
Our first cache! Coords put us on a tree with a fungus that looked and felt like a cows nose. That's not the tree... A nice walk and view. Onwards and onwards!
Parked at GZ, found the cache exposed and full of water. Log Book and contents appear to be beyond repair, but will attempt to dry the contents at home. The lid was cracked and would appear the local wild life muggles have been geocahing with the cache. Replaced the cache container and log book. A very nice place for a cache apart from the tree, with nice views to the east from GZ.
TFTC.

Found with a couple of friends. Box has been broken and contents were saturated including the log book so couldn't sign. Unfortunately had nothing to repair the box with.
Have tried for this cache before without luck but armed with new info about the possible GPS problems the cache was found quickly. Funny looking cows on the high side of the road.

Found it on a caching day with my son and his friend on school holidays. Took travel bug, left a maze
Another fantastic day of caching. The Demolition Crew headed to the Dandenongs and even a bit further. We found caches in the rain, and the wet, we even had leech action.... None of it stopped us, but the GPSr's played up a treat. We had good day though, lots of laughs, and some top finds. My thanks to all the cache owners for their cache placements.
On the day after a huge winter storm passes over Melbourne members of The Demolition Crew headed east to the Dandenong Ranges and beyond to grab a few caches in the rain and wet. With the wet and overcast weather the GPSr's were all over the place. It was a great time even in the weather. Thanks to all the CO's for their cache placements and maintenance.
Nice quick find, but the cows weren't ringing and the tree wasn't smiling as most if its friends and families had been taken away to make paddocks.

Pulled up with 3y/o geo-son. Not a place I would normally like to take him caching. Little kids on the side of country roads is not a good combination. Had to hunt around for a little bit before geo-son made the find. Cache had absolutely not camo around it, just the rock on top of it. Signed the log and added some camo before replacing the rock. GPS was reading 14 meters out, with a 3m degree of accuracy
Wow what a magnificent day to do an epic cache run!!! We saw everything from Shooting Stars to Cars in Creeks. We meandered towards Cardinia Reservoir through the hills to Cockatoo, into the Bunyip State Forest before heading to Pakenham for some night caching and then home. Kay and Tee both had good caching foo today and nary a cache avoided us.
Pulled up at GZ looked here then looked there withing 10m of said co ords, walked back and found it quickly about 25 m away, could be iPhone not settling. TFTC

Find # 1964
Today, I was eventually headed towards the Cockatoo area to attempt a cache which was published some time ago but yet to be found (Wright's International Coin Exchange).
After a ninety minute search at the coin exchange and leaving with a DNF, I was determined to find this one. I parked nearby and watched the world go by while eating some lunch. I then jumped out of the car and quickly found GZ and the cache.
Thanks to travvy2000 for the cache, TNLN.

How embarrassment, as Effie liked to say.
Get your cache for the day is the task :
See tree,
See bike leaning against tree,
See woman handing water bottle to someone behind tree.
Pull up beside bike, wind window down and say :
"Are you here to do what I'm here to do?"
Bike owner replies :
I don't know I'm just having a rest here.
look at GPSr - still 400 m to go to cache.
How embarrassment.

Now armed with a GPSr rather than an iPhone this is my second attempt. I really wanted to clear this one as it is close to home. I didnt have any probs finding it this time now that my gps was behaving and not bouncing all over the place but the co-ords seemed to be about 10 metres off. Nice caches in good condition, log book wasnt in plastic bag so fixed that up. As for the tree well....I wouldnt have given it a second thought if it hadn't have been mentioned in the hint. Glad I didnt have the geokids with me and have to explain that one.
Found 2 trees that put a smile on my face for different reasons but couldn't find a large rock at the base of a tree anywhere
Found @1245 #1128
This was the first find today on a cache run thru the outer east region of melbourne. Took a mintue or two to located the cache and during the hunt spotted an number of burrows, even spotted an ekinda. Nice size cache and in good condition too. TFTC travvy2000

Found this one with Irontoad. This was number 4 successful cache out of 6 caches today. We had parked geocar where she could see this cache and then we proceeded to go the long way round to get to it. Took nothing and left nothing but signed log. Thanks for the cache travvy2000
Found with Kmace.Gps was a bit wonky on this one. after a good search we found it about 5 M from where we had parked the car.
Nearly gave up! But then we found it hmmmm not so G rated..... interesting minds......
The GPS co-ords didnt indicate where the cache was.
We searched and there was no sign of a large rock. No particularly funny looking trees. Thought one was likely candidate in particular but no joy.
Muggles in area made it harder. Possible funny tree may have been cut down? or part removed?.
May try again some other time when feeling overly motivated to retry. Better Co-ords recommended

Parked at a convenient spot past the cache and walked back. No wombats today but signs that one had been up and about earlier in the day. TFTC.

I was in the area and had a quick check for caches I could do and spotted this one. A short drive had me near GZ, where I anticipated a straightforward find but, even using the hint, I still didn't have a cache after a good 15mins. I was nearly at the point of giving up, when I tried a bit further away from where I'd centred my search and was lucky enough to spot the hide.
TNLN
Thanks travvy2000 - although I didn't hear any bells, or spot a tree that struck me as amusing.

A late log, but found it the other day! Lots of muggles driving past, but the wombat and curious cow with the bell, gave us great excuses to stand and point to something away from the cache!!
The GPSr indicated some distance from where the Cache came to hand but after checking out some likely suspects where this might be I followed the more 'roughed' up or should that be 'smoothed' down pathway (well a few steps anyway) and found the Cache. Probably best ignore your GPSr when within 10 metres and put on the Caching Hat. Thanks to 'travvy2000' for the Cache (in good condition) and its delightful setting amidst the rolling verdant hills. TNLN.
There are some lovely red-soiled hilly farms in this part of the world! The GPS was a bit iffy but the cache was found pretty quickly in its good hide, thanks travvy2000.
Easy find on a leisurely drive, second for the day!

I found this cache in the dark so it took me a few minutes. The mosquito’s are extremely friendly in this area.
Found the cache fast and easy on the way home from a Day out in the Bunyp forest

No 5 of 6 for the night. Uneerily still and quiet at this time of night. Found the cache under torchlight after an extensive search of GZ. Had to read some previous logs to help out as well. Find was about 10m out from coords for me. TFTC.
My GPS had me 14 metres off, but under the trees, it was not unexpected. Didn't take long to find the cache. Thanks for the cache.
Easy driveby this afternoon on a busy road. Oregon was again playing up and my epe was about 11 metres when we found the cache. Thanks for the cache travvy2000.
OK I am guilty of not logging caches over the last year or two. Due to 2 operations and rehab it has made it difficult to log caches even though I have been mostly chair bound sitting for short times has been difficult as well.
What I have done is create this log in an attempt to bring our found and DNF's up to date so I can resume my normal habit of stories rather than a TNLN - TFTC.
Most of these logs will not include the owners team name so I think it is appropriate to say a Big Thank the cache owners for their caches and some wonderful memories of caching adventures.
Also thanks to Team Crackers who have made our caching trips so much fun and their help in working out what caches we did and when.
Regards
Mr.Coffee and the "I promise I wont let this happen again after all these coffee's er I mean caches are drunk er I mean logged" Coffee Clan.

Out and about with the Coffee Clan today we stopped at this cache on the way to Warburton. We overshot the mark a bit and approached the cache from the lower side. It wasn't until we were going back to the car that we looked at the "amusing tree' and indeed did have a laugh but we do decline making a comment
