The ground in the grove has been cleared to a height of about 1.7m. Given the number of kids that play in the trees, we have decided to archive, as any new cache would be of a different design.
Went to replace container today, but City Care are in to middle of clearing the grove. Current location has pink paint on the plant, we assume it may be removed, so will check back after they have finished. Sorry still disabled at this stage.
Went to see if it was there, but no joy. It is most annoying when you can't even find your own cache [:(!]. Sorry it took so long to go and look. We will organise a replacement ASAP.
Tryed again with the Geoboys in the dark with torches, but nothin found. Think this has been muggled...
Going out to get cache # 100, this was going to be 98. I say "going to be", but the flax and I need to talk a bit more yet.
Our last cache in NZ, found on our way to the pub before we fly home. Geohubby had this one in hand while I was still walking around in cicles 8 mtrs away. SL TFTC
I didn't have any luck with this months ago when I tried, but today BINGO! Pretty easy today.
I now have a new reason to hate flax...it poked me in my eye...nicely hid cache well camoed. Thanks for this one.
I've never quite understood why some people hate flaxes. Thanks for demonstrating it. I get it now.

Due to a change in travel plans we happened to be passing through the area and it would be rude not to stop and collect this cache. TFTC

Changed the lid of the container, sorry it will make it hard to find (much of the camo paint had come off) . We have also update the Hint to reflect the location description better.
This one took a fair bit of fossicking. As previously noted, the hint wasn't really accurate anymore. I will elaborate for those using the hint.. the type of area the hide is in is correct - the position (strictly) is not.
But I did find it after startling some exercising muggle using the tower as chin-up bars. Thankfully I did not have the cache at that point.
I found it safe and sound and in good condition. I had not encountered these types of plants in Australia - but I already have a severe dislike for them A nice area. TFTC crigsfamily

Found with the help of GeoGSP. Can't believe this is only 1 of 2 caches in this park... TFTC

#556: At the Feet of Giants
Man, those towers are tall! I came to this one after trying another nearby cache, but found kiddies sitting right on top of GZ for that cache. Wanting to keep my cache-a-day streak going (day 69), I found this one was the closest one. I had looked at the listing before, and thought it should be relatively easy. I ended up searching much longer than I thought I would -- hint is not quite correct -- but previous logs helped be in the end!
Took a rugby card, and left a very large NZ$ note.
SL/TFTC!

Thought I'd have a look for this cache on the way home from work. Handy to be able to cycle across the park. Just a few people in the park this afternoon. Looked in a few likely spots before finding the cache.
TFTC Jeff.

On a day trip to the Earthquake city an the weather was nice with no shakes. Quick find #6 today due to the giants foot. Signed log TFTC
Tried to find this some time ago with no luck, almost straight to it this time. TFTC
Tried this some time ago and didn't find it, but basically straight to it today. TFTC.
Found during a driving tour of the south island of new zealand (Apologies for the late logging)
Fairly quick find on a Saturday morning. No games being played today. Not my favourite plant though! Thanks.

TFTC. Another 10 minutes spent reinforcing my hatred of flax bushes lol, but found it in the end. Dropped off gcoin.
Finally get to tick this one off the list. An overcast and cool morings adventure with the family. Surprisingly
quick find on a return visit...cheers.

Finally got it this morning after sending the family to Alaska. Yay, the flax is looking a little "tired" these days. TNLN THanks
Walked to all our city caches this morning, about a 25 minute round trip by the time we stop at each of them. All are OK and accessible, no quake issues.
Nothing found today. My PQ file was a bit out of date so didn't see this was temporarily disabled.
Bark seems to be down now, so have put the cache back inplace Enable on the 1st Feb (not 31st Jan as log indicates).
Harakeke is not my favourite place for finding caches, but the kids were right on this one and after I stuffed around for a bit, found easily! TFTC SL
I now know what a 'Giant's foot' is. Yes - invisible from zero metres. I was worried the the muggle walking his dog may have thought I was about to 'use the rest-room', so entered the said area from reverse side. TFTC
The description of the hiding place made sense when we arrived, and despite being a type of hide we don't enjoy, it was a quick easy find. TFTC
Quick find in a park that we are at for sport every Saturday in winter. Silly we never thought to cache here! Best found in daylight. TFTC + 2 small plastic tiki - small red toy car
1-4-1 Family on a business trip to Christchurch. Enjoying a long walk in great weather and enjoying the touch games
We were on the way to the Airport to bring back our car to the rentstation. Very sad to leave the true friend of the last 4 weeks. It bring us good from Auckland to Christchurch across the beautifull landscape.
That was the end of the trip from the 4.Kiwi-Chicks from Germany!

Great stuff that flax. One off our crew soon spotted the cache and the rest was easy. Great location for a cache amidst a busy place. TFTC
Got to GZ and thought this will be fun to find, but there it was just sitting there.
Thanks Bitsprayer

An easy find once we read all the instruction properly. These ones can sometimes creep and become a real pain but thankfully not this one. Thanks.
The bus stop was full when I parked across from it. Cache area was out on view so quick find. TFTC
Looking for this at day time helped, and also with some one who has already found it
Never had any idea there was a cache here even though I used to practice the beautiful game near here! TFTC!
Not an easy one to try and find in the dark im thinking. . . Perhaps a return trip when the sun is up to aid my caching. . .
surched for this one whilst in the city for a couple of days and did no good on finding it "r" well maybe the next time we get to the south island.
Little G insisted we went back again and it was not going to defeat us - we were encouraged by the last log that it was infact still there. We did not spend long before we nail this elusive little blighter.
Spent ten to fifteen minutes looking for this one - a second attempt and didn't find it. I wonder if it's there as I gave the place a pretty thorough search. Hatas
