Headed North today with cravo10 and ooh yeh to Yanchep National Park and a couple of caches in the alkimos area. Bit of a later start today, some good hides and enjoyed the National Park which has a few activities going throughout the day. Thanks to the local COs for some fun.
In better condition than most active geocaches. Don’t know why it’s archived. Some nice birds around here and a good lookout spot.

Last minute decision to go out caching with Barnzy12 and cravo 10 to pick up a few caches. Fantastic weather to be out and about and all caches except one were found. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
With today being the first day of school holidays for the kids but the wife still at work, I took the day off and headed to Yanchep.
Been years since I was up here. Remember rowing a boat out on the lake. Not much water here nowdays!
Anyway, this was our third find. Took a bit of hunting, but its still there. TFTC

A nice find here by Krabiboy
I have been quite actively seeking out archived caches lately as it is quite a thrill to find caches that are off the radar! This was one that was handy to the area I was in and I thought I would have a wee look to see if I could find it. Yep, still there and able to be signed. WOOHOO! .
Ebb&Flo - jinta29 found your cache Yan's Rivendel on 8/07/2016, 7:03 PM. This is my find #5408 and find #8 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

I have been looking for a chance to come up to Jurien Bay and surrounds to claim some of the older caches in the area. I mentioned my very rough plans to jinta29, and before long we had set aside this weekend to make the trip.
We parked up in the carpark nearby and headed in to this one. Such a dark night, and light rain at this stage. We found the little landing, and I set to work quickly, while jinta waited for the gps to catch up. We were nearly going to give it a miss, but I caught the glint of a piece of white tupperware underneath some paperbark. You beauty, a great archived cache still in good condition. We picked up a travel bug who was in dire need of saving, added our names to the log and replaced as found.

Disappointed that we've been led to archieve this cache as it is obviously there. Can it be re-listed???
Umm... We found a cache at these co-ordinates but didn't realise it had been archived. Left a TB in a race so maybe the owners could check it out because there is definitely a cache at this location! :$
I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time in excess of the period of "up to 4 weeks" as set out in the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days detailing when it will be replaced, so I do not archive the listing for non-communication. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

Hunted around the GZ with JELSH and we could not find anything.
Will have to try again another day.

Looked everywhere up and down left and right. You're either very sneaky or it might have run away.
Will try again when back there.

We gave up because we were reluctant to bushbash and destroy the natural bush. More specific instructions would preserve the environment on this one.
we dint do it we tried we dint do iy becaues we dint whant to destroy the bush and we need moor info for this geocach from dajaki
Searched all around the location for 20 mins without finding it. Is it still there? The trees block GPS reception so hard to find exact position. Searched every hole, recess, tree, etc within a 10m radius.. Very smartly hidden?
Took far too long to find this actually straightforward cache on our second attempt. Very frustrating. Thanks to those that put a new cache in place but please can the owners update all the description/hint info. You shouldn't have to search through pages of recent logs to find out what info is current and what's not. Coordinates aren't too accurate either.
Took bikes up to Yanchep National Park, didnt find this one. We met a family of geocachers looking for the same one. Hopefully they found it.
Came up to Yanchep National Park with the geodaughters who attended their friends wedding at the park. After the ceremony at the lake I headed off on my walk around the lake which is very low on water.
A lovely spot and view over the lake.

On holiday from UK staying with relatives in Harbour Elbow. A quick find as we walked around the lake. This one was really buried deep.
Puhh, It took us about an hour to find this cache. Unfortunately there is a wrong hint in the listing - in my opinion. The coordinates are quite good, but with the wrong hint we searched around a complete wrong area [:(!].
Nevertheless, the cache is located in a beautiful National Park and we were very happy to be there.

Searched high and low with sugarygoodness and geokids for a good 20 mins before finally uncovering the hide. This one was the highlight of the day. TFTC
Never would have found (again) without dnanx...
Hint is old - it's before the arch...
Swapped a pencil for a pen - 3yo spotted it...

Cache replaced with permission. Cache is tucked below waist height in a paperbark tree. Nice location with view of the lake. Thanks Ebb&Flo.
That was a disappointment. I only had the coordinates. But now I realize that there are many DNFs... I am not a big fan of poorly maintained caches... I think this one was muggled.
DNF today @ 1210.
Hint made sense at site, but GPS signal was a little scatty...
Didn't have time to crawl through the undergrowth due to booked cave tour soon (and abundant flies)!
Hope cache has not gone missing...

3rd in a row who didn't find, can you check on it. worried that that the person with good intention of hiding it better made it un-findable or altered the hardness so it no longer is a1.5 difficulty.
Found it too easily. Looks tampered with. No logbook but rest is there. Added two toys.
Bit too easy to find. Logbook missing. Covered a bit better in high muggle activity area.
Found with the kids milo2107 and minty1611. Tftc. Listed trackables not present.

This was the first ever cache we found! We were so excited! Thank you! Kids loved finding it.
Tricky to grab with all the people around. We loved the seven baby ducklings, they are so cute!! Thanks.
Nice day for working in the park. As a group we are working with Yanchep National Park Rangers to create a couple of Official Park GeoTrails. So today was an introduction to Geocaching for some of the younger cadets. Searched for a couple fo caches and collected data on the park and selected a number of suitable locations.
Also had two groups out clearing some trails today.
We signed the log and took nothing.
Thanks for the nice little find.

That took a while. Co-ords didn't want us under the clue. Our first of the 5 caches around the lake today. Thanks.
This was our first of six for the day. Introduced our friends to our new hobby - Geocaching, so we were a team of 4 adults and 5 kids. We couldnt find it at first then, after reading the clue we found it with ease. Shame people think that leaving a piece of chewing gum is a great treasure. We certainly raised the standard of the booty
[:(!] Went for an afternoon of caching with Mrs GrumpyBump, after paying our 5 dollars to enter Yanchep National Park, parked the geocar in the carpark and walked the circuit around Lock Mcness, on arrival at GZ and within minutes Mrs GrumpyBump had the cache in hand. TNLNSL TFTC/TFTH
Thanks very much to Ozcrawf for sorting out the log book issue. On his advice all is well once more with Yans Rivendel, so we are more than happy to reactivate.
We are great believers in Karma so back at ya Ozcrawf.......happy caching.

Saw the previous logs for this cache and its unavailable status. Decided to have a go at finding it and took a spare log book to replace the missing one. Found the container with no problems - all in good condition. Put a new log book in a plastic bag in the cache. This cache should now be able to be reactivated for the enjoyment of all. TFTC.
As noted in my log, I've placed a new logbook in the cache so it should be able to be reactivated.
Unfortunately this looked like it had been severely muggled . The bag and container were open, contents strewn across the GZ, logbook missing, etc. We and Pflygt packed it all up and put it back where it probably came from. A nice but very muggly location, TFTC .
We have had reports of sabotage and muggling. Log book is missing. Cache still live, but be aware that it is damaged. We are currently away, but will attempt to rectify and repair as soon as possible. Thanks to fellow cachers Take A Detour andPflygt for trying to repair. We appreciate your efforts.
Our first cache for the day! All four of us attempted to find this one with no luck . Then on the way back from our circuit of the lake(?) we had a second crack [^]. Silly Geodad forgot to read the clue the first time. Then Eureka!! cache in hand. Oops forgot to bring some paper for a log [:o)]. So we improvised and used the park map. Geokids did a swap. Only just noticed previous entry about delisting - Ah well, we are happy to still claim a smiley face for our efforts!!!

Found it, though this was a hard to fine either due to it being moved by geocacher or the muggles displacing it. Left lego man as usual which was gone that afternoon. No log book but took gps photo to log visit.
Well we had a good look around and even with the help of previous logs we came away empty handed. However what we all DID come away with was loads and LOADS of pepper ticks!!! Be warned!!
Poor cache... repaired it a bit with Take a Detour but apparently easily spotted by muggles!
Nice easy find for some new kids I was introducing geocaching to. No water at the late at all and 39C...very dissappointing as I know it's lovely there in cooler weather with water around. Nice cache though and that made our trip worthwhile.
was a nice day for geocaching even a roo resting under a palm tree not easy to see .Nice park ,thanks for bringing us here.TNLNSL.
We've been to Australia for almost a month. Drove >5000KM with a campervan, took ~3500 pictures, seen Sydney, Melbourne, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Perth ... what a great trip!
And of course we also found quite a number of caches
TFTC!

What a beautiful spot! I've come to this lookout to take photographs before, but not wandered off the path. Had to laugh though - the unofficial trail to the cache is very well stomped out. I think it's been carved by Muggles, but it made it very easy to get to the right spot, and to know when we'd gone past the cache!
Yanchep is a great place to be, but if you like to see the animals, come in the late afternoon. TFTC!
Well hidden in a nice location. Released Gilly the Goat TB as she has now got over her jet lag from her trip from the UK. TFTC
I can see the arch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not covererd very well, so covered up well!
