I had a look this morniing, No sign of any spiders at all, not even with using a torch.
No one is going to look for this cache with the last log warning, so I'm going to archive it.
Bye bye pythagorus

A WARNING TO ALL FUTURE SEEKERS OF THIS CACHE!
When I retrieved the cache I disrupted a nest of Redback spiders who were guarding of the cache. DO NOT REACH IN WITH YOUR HAND - redback spiders are poisonous! Perhaps the CO should consider doing something about this...... or increase the difficulty!
Other than that, the cache was simple to find - the name did aid. TFTC!

Was a nice walk, apart from not being able to find this cache. Hopefully next time!
DNF for me and kiwi-anna. Looked around for about 15 minutes or so with no luck! Will try again one day.
Stopped by on a bike ride along the river, clever hide, took allen key, left fire truck, took TB. TFTC
I have replaced the cache, and changed the way it was hidden. It is still in the same place, but is now guarded by a colony of ants
Unfortunatly this cache has been stolen. The council had a clean up in the area and must have cleaned up the cache as well.
Took the goaty walk down...and back up quick find although our GPS was way off.
Found this one on the way back to our campsite after a long walk along the waikato river. Thanks for hiding it!

#20! New part of town for me too. Took the long way around from Cherry Island, but never mind. The dog thought it was Christmas: "6 walks in one day, woohoo!"

Nice cache! Found with Bagels Bunch. no 6 for today thinking of going for 10, but young legs might fade. Took trackable.
What a cool little spot and a great hiding place. I have lived in Taupo for 16 years and never been over to this part of the town - what an awesome green belt and view. I am forever grateful for you showing me this spot. Had a trackable item but I am too unreliable to take it!
I walked down from the cemetery entrance. Found using the hint. It all made sense in the end. TNLN TFTC
Took a bit of leg work for this one.
Managed to walk around the cemetery then past the sewerage works which smelt a bit in the prevailing wind.
On the seat near GC was a young couple getting intimate they weren't interested in what we were doing.
Nice area.

Great hiding spot. Took rubber duck travel bug and will put in a cache in our home town. T4TC
found on a trip to the Hawkes bay, awesome caches and such beautiful scenery
Took longer finding the parking area, & then the track, than finding the cache. Great place for a stroll.
Swapped a pet rock - a crab, for a party popper. TFTC

Found on third attempt - the other two being thwarted by heavy rain on reaching the carpark. with the able assistance of 5-year-old Marty and 2-year-old Fern we had a pleasant walk down the steep steps and then some fun with getting to GZ. Try explaining a right-angle to a five year old! to reward our endeavours, Marty took the transformer, and Fern the necklace. In return we placed a "right-angled eye" and a duck TB. TFTC
It took us a while to find a way to the cache but with the sunny weather today, the stroll was nice and the river landscape lovely. Tftc
The nearby waste water treatment people looked at us funny as we started and finished this cache but we still got it, in the rain. Finding 10 bucks near GZ was a bonus for jillopy! A previous cachers?! Although it didn't quite beat the time we found a full bottle of wine!
On our last visit to Taupo we couldn't find the access point to the walkway but on our return visit today we attempted it from a different parking area and made our way to GZ where we soon located the cache T4TC.
nice walk from the cemetary
classic caching and a lesson in Pythagorus Theorem along the way!

Quite a walk for this one. I was quite knackered by the time I got back to the car. TFTC.
Finding the cache was a good excuse to go for a stroll along the river bank - I hadn't been down this way. A nice walk for a sunny day. TFTC!

A nice stretch of the legs on our trip back to HB after picking up a car we had bought. Great hide and an easy find. Left a TB in this cache - a Humvee - but have lost the tracking number so can't log it correctly. If someone can let me know (either the next cacher or the cache owner) the TB number I will log my pickup from Rotorua and leaving it in Taupo. It was ironman in Taupo today so busy busy town!!
Also stopped to watch the big kids swining from a rope and jumping into the river just across from GZ - wow - many years ago I might have tried that ???? TFTC

1885 Managed to find this cache whilst eating our Burger Fuel, Mrs Geckoh took the high path and Mr Geckoh scrambled to catch up!!! Thanks again Taupotiger.
Great hide! Walk along the river most days and this was an added bonus. Found with nzpeanut!
Easy find using the clue. Great spot that you chose here. We were actually planning a cache over there as it is opposite our house. TFTC. Great to have new ones in Taupo. Hope that it will continue to attract TB and GC to our area. +TB Zebra, + GC Cachosphere, - TB, -GC.
Parked at a smelly location (sewage treatment) Walked to cache. Nice safe location. SL -GC left Piranha GC TFTC
Awesome hide. The title Pythagoras is good for two reasons. One the clue and secondly this is close to the spot where I run a trigonometry assessment for Year12. Straight away I told partner about this she started wondering if this was some past student's joke. Thanks heaps for the lovely morning. TFTC
An enjoyable walk at lunch time, always love the cool clear colours of the water in the river. Excellent placement in a spot we had been casting our eyes around several times, but are very pleased you beat us to it. Thanks for a great cache. Looking forward to more. Left Jeep TB and Diabetes Coin. TFTC.
