Hi Karen,

This cache turned up in perfect condition in our mail box.

A couple found it on the beach, tracked us down as the last finders and sent us an email.
Hence finding its way to our mail box!!

We can set up a new cache in the same vicinity, unless you want it back.

Maybe we will see you at the orienteering on Sunday.

I have talked to some other local cachers who have a friend with a metal detector who may go out looking for this one in the dunes. There is still a geocoin in it, so I'd like to see it found.
I'll even offer a finders prize (a Geocoin or a TB etc.... or I could name a new cache in your honour!) to anyone who can recover it (with proof of course)!

I biked out to the cache today and it has definitely been reclaimed by the sand.

I'm not going to archive it, as eventually someone will find it - thats the thing with sandhills - they're always moving.

I could tell that other people have been out looking as well recently - there was evidence of a dog digging and footprints all over GZ.

If someone with a metal detector minds going out an having a look! ..... it does have a Geocoin in it still!

When I get a free weekend I'm going to go out and see if it has been reclaimed. Will disable until I get the chance.

Out for a run around Sandy Point to find all the caches in the area. Down from Christchurch to see family. Would have been my 6th on my run but this isa dnf. First in Southland. No sign of driftwood at GZ and I think the sand may have reclaimed the area. Long run to get here and a shame not to find it. No other logs online for months either

What a lovely day for a walk in this part of the world. As usual once we got to the cache we found an easier route!

Cool cache! We drove the cache mobile down the beach to a point where we were about 600m away and walked from there as the sand was starting to get quite deep. We had an awesome walk from there and a heap of fun in the dunes near the cache site and best of all, the whole beach to ourselves. Awesome spot on a beautiful late afternoon. In: GC, Out, TB. A nice walk from the sandy point end, quite a busy place today some people floundering and another launched a boat to head out and dive for pauas. Had a bit of interference with our vehicle when we arrived back, wiper blades flicked up and wing mirrors closed but fortunately nothing serious. TFTC

An easy find on a beautiful sunny day! Really enjoyed ambling along the beach on our bikes. The kids thought it was awesome! Dropped off Unite for Diabetes TB.

TFTC!
PS Your caches are great Bladesedge, I like caches where you either need to "Do something" to get there or are placed in a beautiful place. When a cache has both, thats' even better!

Easy find once we got to it - parked at South end of Sandy Point and biked with daughter while hubby ran beside us. Sand was pretty soft in places. Nice mild evening. TFTC Bladesedge!
