Solved the clues with family friend and went of excited. Only to find the Cache MIA Having no luck in the Burdekin
This puzzle was solved before I left home on my adventure north. As I was passing close by GZ, I made a quick detour to find the cache. Log signed, cache returned to its spot and I was on my way again. TFTC
Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.
With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.
The puzzle was one of many solved prior to leaving home in preparation for my trip. Although my itinerary when I travel is generally very fluid, I do like to have a menu of pre-solved puzzles that I can target along the way.
This was a nice quick find at the logical spot.
Thanks HDSpringer for the puzzle and the cache.

I looked at this cache description from every direction before the solution came to me. Loaded up the corrected coordinates and off to GZ. Cache found quickly, signed and returned to hide. Tftc
Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, HDSpringer.

Sorry for the late log. Realised we had missed logging caches in the area whilst on a trip south.
Loved the description of this cache and knew we had to make the slight detour for the find. The puzzle was solved very quickly back in Townsville and today we searched.
Cute container that we missed on the first sweep but found with a second pair of eyes. Signed the log and stuck it back in its hide
TNLN TFTC and thank you HDSpringer

I noticed a question mark on me caching map while in towne
Hmmm ??
The puzzle made me frown !!
Maybe if I look at this one upside down ??
Well whatever I did,
'bout 10 minutes of scribbling on a bit of paper later,
and I had a sensible set of coords to investigate
A short stroll from some railway lines,
and there was the cache,
ready to be signed [^]

No gold found in the cache ??

Met the co and she confirmed the cache has gone missing so we helped her with the replacement. Thanks
A surprisingly quick solve last night at the campground in bowen.
This morning saw us passing through home hill after parking up to cook up some brekky, so convinced the muggle driver to pull over so i could hunt this one down. Accurate coords led me straight to gz and the hide.
Thanks for creating this anniversary puzzle and happy sixtieth wedding anniversary for this year!!
Found just before eleven am.

After trying to solve this cache for some time, we finally cracked a fairly easy code. Sometimes overthinking doesn’t help. With the coordinates in hand we proceeded to GZ. We looked intensely around what we thought was to be a fairly easy find, however we could not locate the cache. After a second attempt we contacted the CO to check if we had the right location only to be told that it appears to be missing. With the CO’s approval we were given permission to log as found. Thanks HDSpringer.
Took us a few tries to get the puzzle right, but once we did we were bang on target. Had a strategy before getting out of the car, found in the first spot we anticipated. Haven't seen a log like this before. TFTC
We are coming up to 35 years, not sure if we will make it to 50. It depends on how muggle husband behaves himself. I solved the puzzle and found the cache, both with no problems. Nice gardens here.
TFTC. We have had this solved for quite some time but have not had the opportunity to stop and attempt the find. We had been in Townsville and starting to head south to a house sit in Bundaberg. Stopped here for an easy find and then parked up in town for an overnight stop.

Enjoyed working out the puzzle. Quite logical, unlike a few of the others we come across. Tftc. Hopefully you will be celebrating your 59th anniversary very shortly.
Stopped of on our trip from Townsville to Mackay, solved a week or two ago and it took me longer to find my pen than the cache.
I've clocked up 26 years of marriage so can appreciate the significance of 50 years well done to you both.

Cleaning up a couple of more caches before leaving town, particularly multi's as they are with more tokens in the Geocaching Pirate hunt this week we then headed towards Ayr caching our way along.
First off, congratulations on your 57th anniversary, we hope The Reluctant Companion is feeling a lot better.
We really enjoy these puzzles that are solvable without having to go to extreme lengths or find the right computer program to extract a set of co-ords which is very rare these days, especially down south and to make it even better the cache was a nice easy find and our name has been added to the log.
Many thanks HDSpringer for the puzzle and the cache.

This container has been replaced. Sorry it has been missing for a while however the Reluctant Companion has been very unwell. Thanks for your patience. Enjoy the cache again. it is now 57 years!!!
Enjoyed the trail which took us to the new signpost were the cache used to be. Met the owner who told us we had arrived and that the missing cache will be replaced and that we could log this as found.
Thank you Anne for your help.
Thank you Anne for your help.
Spent a little while looking for the cache with burgo78 with no luck. So we visited the CO and she said it is missing and that we can log it as found. Such a lovely lady, drop in and say hello if you get the chance. Tftc.
On a caching road trip with Team BlackPearl.
Had the puzzle quickly solved but couldn't find the cache.
Reading back through the description and logs suggested the hide was in front of the CO's house, so a stroll into the back garden was needed to meet the lovely HDSpringer. She checked the spot where we had been searching however it seems the council have replaced the structure the hide was on and taken the cache with it. Thanks for allowing us to log the find. We were glad the cache was missing otherwise we may never have met.

We are having an overnight stop Home Hill /Ayr to find a few of the local caches.
Just as we finihed grabbing the cache a car came down the street, we both said I hope this is a geocacher & it turned out to be the CO. We had a short chat & then continued onour way.

Belated congratulations on your anniversary HDSpringer and The Reluctant Companion. Interesting puzzle Geo Dad looked at it a few times but a solution was produced as soon as handing to over Geo-mum who has many complimentary solving puzzle skills (but not adding up at the next cache). Quick find and signed log of our 6th cache for the day, filling in a holiday day with a trip to Ayr. TFTC
Day off from work, so decided to head down to the Ayr and Home Hill area to do a spot of caching.
Solved this puzzle back in January, so it was high time that I came down to Home Hill and logged the to finish it off.
A little late, but Happy 50th (or should that be 55th) Wedding Anniversary HDSpringer and The Reluctant Companion.
Log signed. The cache container and contents were found to be in excellent condition.
Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1375.

Together with Silli1310 we went on vacation for a whole year. After many weeks in South America, New Zealand and Tasmania, we had now arrived in Australia. We drove north along the east coast with a rented bus. Besides all the scenic highlights, we wanted to find a few cans along the way. So we started this morning near Bowen with the goal to arrive in Townsville in the afternoon. In between we didn't have much worthwhile to look at, so we were glad about every little change and break. We were able to solve this cache quickly during our drive, so of course we had to stop in order not to have solved the cache for nothing. On site, the can was quickly discovered, so we could stretch our legs only briefly. Thank you for the cache.
On our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to Australia as well. We started in Tasmania, rented a campervan in Melbourne and went up the Eastcoast to Cairns. Then we drove all the way to the Red Centre. We finished in Darwin. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for . Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.
Found today on our way back from Bowen. The neighbours were unfortunately away on their well deserved extended holiday as we would have loved to meet up with them but at least they can't enjoy themselves watching us from behind the curtains
Trip south this last day of my holidays.
Solved this one on the flight back from Melbourne yesterday, easier than I expected.
This wet morning I found the hide before heading further south.
Thanks for the cache

finally ...
on our trips up and down the coast Puzzle Caches usually don't get much of a look in
because I usually haven't done my homework
not this time
this time I spent a couple of weeks prior to leaving solving a heap of NQ puzzles
... and this was one of them
of course there is a difference between solving them and finding them
thankfully - no worries here

We headed out of town in an attempt to prolong the number of caches available to us in Townsville. A late afternoon departure saw us on the road with lots of traffic heading in both directions. Guessing the northward void were heading for the V8s.
At GZ a very quick find was had by GeoD due to some spot on coords.

12:53:00 PM. We had looked at this cache as we came through town. Now as we are staying a while we had time to sit down and solve the simple puzzle. Then off for a short drive and a quick find. Thanks HDSpringer.
A very nice puzzle..located cache quickly tho the area had high muggle activity! TFTC
Have no idea how we solved this as we did it months ago before leaving Tassie. A quick find and the barking dog didn't attract any muggles. Thanks.
Found at 3:38 PM GAFF1. The puzzle was solved by the "hard work" method and then when we arrived at GZ there was an elderly lady saying goodbye to another elderly lady and they just stared at us for a while. After they departed, we went into action as we had spotted the container when we first passed. Maybe these are the neighbours that know about the cache?
Thanks HDSpringer.
Feedback: This cache is not an "Unknown" size as listed, it is a "Small".

#276 Monkeys go scrub
Took the monkeys for a tour down to Ayr and Home Hill, and then west to Ravenswood.
OK. I have to be honest on this one. We found the cache quickly, but little monkey managed to twist it in its hide, and despite trying for a good 10-15 minutes. Champs broke a pen and bent big monkeys sunglasses trying to pry it out, without success.
While we will claim this as a find, we will return next time we come by to sign the log, if the CO can get it out.
Sorry.

I will temporarily disable this cache until I can replace it - the hiding place has been tampered with.

Our forty- fifth day of our honeymoon to New Zealand and Australia.
Today we left our Big 4 Adventure Whitsunday resort at Airlie beach after 4 nice days. First of all we visited Cedar Creek Falls the and it is a pity that no (earth) cache is located over here. Nice location, but the waterfall was not quite big today. Then we drove towards Bowen to visit the big Mango. We found it and we find it ugly, a repaint is indeed necessary. The rest area across the road was closed due to road work so we could not do the multi we planned. We continued to Home Hill where we had solved three puzzles, but could not find 50th Anniversary Cache and History Lesson which was very disappointing as we were sure to be at the right locations. After having a quick lunch and doing a multi we almost drove along the Big Munda in Ayr. We ended the day at rest area Alligator Creek Road House just 22 kilometers before Townsville where we did not succeeded in making pan cakes so it became a enchilada wrap.
We DID NOT found this cache today.
While being in Airlie Beach we had some time left to puzzle and as we love to solve mysteries, we had a look to them. By looking to this one, we had not immediately, but by starting writing down the information we saw the pattern and the text was decrypted. Although no checker was available we were sure we had found the right solution. On site we found some magnetic objects, but no cache. We found a rusty bolt, but still no cache. After an half an hour searching we gave up. No people around to give us an hint . We would loved to logged this one, as this is our honeymoon and we hope to stay together also for this long time. We are very curious if the cache is still there and if yes, how it is hidden, so maybe the owner will let us know????

I tried to sneak-up on the hide, but was spotted as soon as I left the car. Only after waving the GPS in the air and shouting "I come in peace... I'm a geocacher !", was I able to continue on with the search. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. 50th Anniversary?? Wow....you mustn't have to be very old to get married around here A belated Happy Anniversary to you both and very nice to meet you Anne and Noel (the Reluctant Companion) We ended up working out the co-ords without actually breaking the code (puzzles aren't our forte) Thanks for the hunt and your hospitality HDSpringer
Yes a nice easy puzzle. I looked at it at first and went what am I supposed to do with this one and then the penny dropped. SL TFTC
We deciphered the solution for this cache whilst on an overnight stop 50 klms south of Home Hill (sorry cant pronounce the place let alone spell it). Armed with the co-ordinates we headed up the road to make the find. We tried hard to look inconspicuous which is rather difficult since we are driving a big red Jeep and towing a caravan, not to mention walking up and down "casing" someones place! LOL. Needless to say we were sprung by a lovely lady who fortunately wasnt wielding a large frypan to see us off. Cache found and plesantries exchanged it was back into he Jeep and off to the next cache.

I really enjoy puzzle caches and solved this puzzle a while ago but 'stuff'' kept getting in the way of us coming down to Ayr to search. At GZ there weren't a lot of places to hide a container so persistance paid off and the prize was in hand. Clever hide with spot on coordinates! Congratulations on your anniversary H D Springer, see you at the event in May.

This is a very special and important cache for me. So it was critical for me to solve the nice fun easy puzzle and find the cache after lunch.
Perhaps it was the excitement or the direct flight from Canberra to Townsville or the pressure of the watchful gaze of my geomum or the gps which took a while to settle down, anyway, I was baffled for awhile. As the previous finder said, this is a sneaky hide and if you believe it really is there, then you will find it.
A huge congratulations to HDSpringer and the Reluctant Companion for 50 years of love and friendship, and thanks for making me.
