Heading out to Totaranui this morning, but not before grabbing a couple of caches along the way, Nice views from here, TFTC
Today:Had most of the day to myself, while the rest of the family did some tramping around Toteranui. That's also where I started on my MTB, going over Gibbs hill, then down to the coast, following the main road + some diversions all the way to the bottom of Takaka hill. Found 20 odd caches along the way. Good weather, nice scenery, great success! This cache:Funny, wonder if they planned to let everyone start and end here. Well maintained cache found after some scrambling, tftc!
The Logbook is very wet and you can't write on the paper anymore... Logbook needs to be dried or replaced. Thank you!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today steffixx and me spent another wonderful day here in NZ while driving from Onekaka to Abel Tasman Nationalpark. We stopped nearby and looked for the cache. It was a quick found, but we were no more able to sign the logbook, because it's so wet (it was more or less carving the wet paper pages when I tried to write the names in...). Yippie - another found in New Zealand!! A big thank you to boxhill for leading us here and showing this beautiful place and of course also for maintaining this cache here on site!Best wishes from the North Sea, Germany, from Cuxine . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ________________oooooooo____________oooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooo________oooooooooooooooooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo____oooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo___ooo__ooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo__oooo____oo________oooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo_oooo_______oooooooooooooooooo________ooooo___ooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oo_ooo____oooooooooooooooooooooooooo_____oooooooo__ooo_oooooo__________oo___oooo_______ooo__ooo_ooo______oooo__ooo_______oooo___ooo__ooo___ooooo___ooo_____ooo___ooo____oo____ooo____oooooo__ooo____ooooooo____________ooo_____ooooo____ooo
Whrend High Tide mit Cuxine gefunden. Der Track htte von hier aus hchstens geschwommen werden knnen. Tftc
An easy find, log was a little damp but still able to sign, found with SJT_NZ while we're over checking out a few hikes on what was expected to be a wet day. Thanks boxhill.
Found with TARV2014 on the way back from a walk up to Wainui Falls. A quick find, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks boxhill for the cache.
As we were passing this while on our way to the Wainui Falls track we stopped here. Took a little bit of fossicking around before spotting the cache. Thanks.
Nice easier find, unfortunately the log book was saturated so couldnt sign. TFTC
Paddle chick and I had been up to the Wainu falls I grabbed this park and grab on the way back to Takaka thanks for this cache boxhill
A bit of a squeeze pulling in here with the campervan, but we got there.
No problems finding the cache.
Thanks for putting it here

Found after a short search. Lovely day today and the bay looks great. But is the tide coming in or out?
What a cool spot, I never really paid any attention before! Great access to the beach. TFTC!!
Number 10432 for me. Heading back round the coast now, but stopped to find this little beauty. TFTC, a lovely spot
As it was close to high tide, walking this part of the track wasn't an option. We wonder if many people do? The cache was a quick easy find. TFTC
Day 11 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
Not the right tide to be crossing here when we called in. I wonder how many do start or finish here.
Thanks for the cache boxhill

On a trip with Ruru_NZ to gather the tour caches needed or in my case not done yet. Should be able to knock them off on this trip.
Located with Ricardinho

Well there you go, the disc is the real starting spot. This was as far as our travels today, but the next day we are off to Wainui falls and slightly further. It took a few minutes here but it was easier to spot looking from the beach side. All good, TFTC Boxhill.
Our second day in Pohara, and today we are exploring a few spots with some short walks. The Labyrinth Rocks, Rawhiti cave and Grove Scenic Reserve were all on the agenda and visited in the morning and early afternoon, then we headed around to Tata Bay and beyond for some park and grabs. Great weather, some really cool spots. Thanks all.

Our last day in Golden Bay and first job is to head around to Wainui car park to grab the geo tour cache. Kev is looking at the info board and we realised we can ride our bikes over the hill to Totaranui - only from May 1 to October 1 - but it is a beautiful day so off we go. This was one of the first we picked up as we headed up up the hill. The downhill was an education for me. Bike ride with a break for lunch and half a dozen caches took 3 hours.
Thanks for the cache boxhill.
Thanks for the cache boxhill.
A nice quick find on the way around to the end of the AT track, thanks.
Another long weekend, another wee road trip, this time up to Golden Bay area, with Ms_KR. The daylight hours are are certainly getting shorter, but luckily the weather is mostly dry and warm. Today we cruised Over to Golden Bay and back to Motueka.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

#1508. Day 6 of a 9 day caching holiday in the Tasman region with GB Leader. After heading over the Takaka Hill yesterday, today we explored the area around our eco accommodation in Wainui Bay, as far as the road goes. Then off to Takaka for some exploring & caching. Then back to Wainui Bay to our Little Greenie unit, but first time to grab this last one for the day.
Nice one boxhill - surprised to find one of yours so far from home (until I chatted to you the other day!).

Continuing on our PWGT journey visiting the top of the Mainland this weekend. After reading the previous logs we expected to be searching for a while but we were lucky and located it on arrival. Great views from the beach TFTC.
Rocks have nothing to do with the cache. Everything was ok when I checked just on a week ago.
#8543. I was staying with friends in Takaka and heading back to Nelson today. But I needed to visit the Wainui sandspit so I could collect a sample of sand needed for a 5/5 Earthcache placed in Oriental Bay in Wellington (Arenophilia). What is the connection you are wondering. Well the sand for that beach in Wellington was shipped over using sand mined out in this very bay! After collecting the sand I walked back to the start of the track and now starting the drive back to Nelson. It was high tide when I did these caches today so no chance to walk over to the spit from this access point. I checked out a few places before suddenly noticing the telltale signs of where the cache was hidden. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks boxhill for the cache. This one is a long way from your normal base.
Day 7 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
After my huge drive of yesterday, I had planned today to be a bit more leisurely. I was delighted to get to spend some time in Takaka. It's been too long since I was last here, and I have wanted to get back here for a while to try to finish off an Earthcache I started about 2 years ago, so was using that as a great excuse to find a few others too.
What a stunning place Golden Bay is! The weather certainly helped too, as I drove from beach to beach enjoying all the scenery to be lapped up.
This was a quick and easy find at GZ, and I was able to sort out the usual field caching administration and replace everything as found before returning to the camper and moving along the coastline a little further.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Spending a great time in New Zealand with canadianfriend75 we also have visited some caches. The country, the people, the nature, the cleanliness, ... amazing. Thanks to a special country for a great vacation and also TFTC
On our way back to Takaka RTB73 and I made a short stop here and we could find it quite quickly. TFTC
We are surprised that we have never made the effort to stop and find this one. Neither of us can think of any reason that we have not done it. So today was the day. We were the only people in the area and the tide was filling the estuary so we were unlikely to get muggled from the water side.
GK made a nice quick find here, the cache and the log are in good condition. We signed the log and returned it as he had found it.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

We had to be a little wary of two kayaking niggles but all good apart from that. Tftc
Spent my day finding Caches around the Abel Tasman Drive and this was one of them.

Early morning start and a quick grab after a walk out onto Wainui Bay. Thanks for the cache.
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.

We are staying at the Golden bay campground, went to the Farewell spit this morning and came here for an afternoon swim. Beautiful!
It was low tide, we parked the car right next to the cache and walked left (after signing the log - thanks for providing a pencil), we saw a sting ray and had a really great time here

After the last two hunts for other caches did not result in smilie faces this did. TFTC
After swimming and sunning at Tata Beach we decided to head for Wainui Falls before home. Picked up a TB. TFTC
Last one of the day before returning to Nelson. I couldn't get a phone signal so I had to guess. Second choice was fruitful.

This morning I had remembered that I wanted to have a look at the Wainui Falls before I leave tomorrow.
This one was on the way and I just had to stop and sign it off.
Cheers for the cache.

Very pretty view at high tide! Weather is better than expected after all that rain there's a little sun peaking through.

Taking a winter birthday break at Pohara Top 10 Holiday Park. Stopped on our way back from Pigeon Saddle as we'd driven past earlier. TFTC.
Its a long weekend so The Seagnoid, Zara and I are off for an adventure to Golden Bay. The Seagnoid is navigator and Zara and I pair up getting us from A to B??
It was dark when we past here on our way to Totaranui early this morning. Much easier caching with day light assisting us. Hey a house for sale and the occupants thought we were here to check it out. Was welcomed in by the house owner while the Seagnoid snagged and tagged the cache then came for a snoop as well. Amazing bach with the oldest part having a beautiful polished wooden floor. OK on the road again. Cheers

Taybeedragon, Zara and I are on a three day sojourn to Golden Bay, courtesy of Her Royal Highness, Queen of the Realm, Defender of the Faith and Head of the Commonwealth. Happy birthday Liz!
We came past VERY early in the morning - on the way to totoranui. On the way back the sun had woken up, someone had found the light switch, and we could see what we were doing. Which for the dragon meant touring through the house opposite the cache, as it is for sale. not that she has any intention of buying here. So while she was house... window shopping, I put in the hard yards: found the cache, signed it, put it all back and was finished long before the dragon had finished exploring.

Trying to figure out my new GPS, coordinates a little out by it, but it maybe that I'm new at this. TFTC
#8641. Stopped by Abel Tasman Drive in Tata Beach to have a look at the real end of the Abel Tasman Coast Track. Like most people we had used the Wainui car park entrance to get onto the track instead. GZ here was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. Nice hide. The log book was a little damp, but writeable. The cache was otherwise in good condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

This weekend us capperz are over the hill to Golden Bay and celebrating. It's our wedding anniversary on Friday followed by my 50th birthday on the Saturday. So we looked around for a decent place to go for the weekend and the potential of this beautiful area won out (this time). Only grabbed the one cache on the Friday night (there was much drizzly rain and poor visibility) trip over the hill(s) so there was much anticipation for what was next. Both the Saturday of my half-century milestone and the Sunday were bathed in golden sunshine and the temperature was perfect; neither too hot nor too cold.
Day 2 and a few in and around the region before we head back over the hill again. I had a plan which required me to get a sample of sand from Wainui and would be rude not to go look for the caches to the waterfall too.
Heading back to Takaka to get some lunch provisions, after a couple of caches
This was one and an easy find
