I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi bumandworker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Took us a while but found it. The obvious place was way too hard! Beautiful day to be stretching our legs instead of non-stop driving from Hanmer to Blenheim. TFTC
Headed out today to target a cache we needed to complete a challenge. As it was in an area we hadn't cleared out we decided to do a loop around to pick up a couple of DNFs that were now active and any other caches we came across.
We hunted high and low for this cache, checking and rechecking areas that we had both previously checked. We were not going to give up and eventually Andy called out those magic words - Found It!! Log signed and we were on our way again. tftc

A DNF from us today. I have looked at this cache several times in the past as we've gone by and declined to have a look for it as I suspected what was involved. In fact I detest these caches as much as the CO detests barrier caches... Oh but he doesn't really, having found two today. We spent a fair bit of time on this, but not as much as we did on a similar hide (Groan) by the CO in Kaikoura. It appears as though these kinds of caches are our nemesis and you have to look at the right place in the right light at the right angle and at the right time. All these things didn't align for us today.
No 'Needs Maintenance' or 'Needs Archiving' logs here as I'm sure it is here somewhere.

A number of times I've flown past this cache on my way to Chch or returning but with too little time to stop. Today was different and despite getting wet in the bushes found the cache and signed the log. TFTC. PS nature always wins.
After some planning Shannonp1 and I got sorted for a mission into areas we hadn't been. Up to Hanmer through the Molesworth to Blenheim, down the Wairau valley to St Arnaud down the Shannandoa to Murchison and then home via the Lewis. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners especially Bum and Worker and sorry for the cut and paste.
So a few weeks in the planning phase, me and Surveybase finally got out and about for a mission. Through Hanmer, up the Molesworth to Blenheim, across through St Arnaud, Murchison and then home. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners and sorry for the cut and paste. Cheers.
Holidays! - 25 days - around 5000 km by campervan! It was a great time with a lot of experience, im-pressions and some very nice geocaches. We went from Christchurch to Auckland and tried to find every day minimum one cache. Preferred old ones and rarely ones like virtual or webcams.
Nice Geocache!
Thank you for hiding!
No trade!
Best Greetings from Germany!

Checked cache (bit over grown with weed) to find it all good. Original log OK but left additional water proof paper one as back up.
I remember being here paddling around the time they started building this. TFTC.
A busy weekend of caching was planned by Capperz, and The Seagnoid and myself were invited along. This was a great chance for each of us to pass a few caching goals. Many of our logs were abbreviated to GH, CAP, SEG or GH TS CZ depending on room available.
With our accomodation booked near Lake Rotoiti, and the inclusion of a small boat to expand our travel options the planning was sorted. Pick up a few each on the way up Friday night. Do the bulk of the walking on Saturday morning. Boat around the lake in the afternoon and then break out the Landrover for some off roading on Sunday. We explored some amazing areas, had a lot of fun and dodged the worst of the weather.
Good way to end the day, sneaky little spot. TFTC

A weekend trip up to the Nelson Lakes with G H 6 7 1 0 and the Seagnoid was planned with a couple of days of the weekend in one of the work baches not far off the lake side in Rotoiti/ St Arnaud. Targets were set; get the Seagnoid past 4000 caches, get more than 50 a day for G H 6 7 1 0, and get me past 3200 cache finds. Also in target was some tramping, some boat caching (grabbing whilst moored as close as safely possible to G Z) some 4 W Driving and some basic park and grabs. We also wanted to get all of the puzzle/unknown caches in St Arnaud as well as 100% of the multi caches in St Arnaud (cache Tectonics!). There was driving, boating, walking, rain, mist, sun, ducklings, eels and trout, sandflies (of course), beech trees and great views. Fun and sweat (no tears), a wasp sting and over 100 caches found for me. We all surpassed our targets and at the end of 2 full on days we returned to a cooler Blenheim than when we left tired out.
Day 3 begins and a couple around St Arnaud to start us off including two solved puzzle caches and a couple of 'on the way past' caches too. Aren't they always on the way past? We contrive to make it so usually!
Off in the car now to clear out the caches in the Howard Valley area. Lovely back roads caching with great views and a decent little stream most of the time within view.
Onto the end of the Porika Track and a chance for G H 6 7 1 0 to utilise his 4 W D skills in the Land Rover. There were some hairy up bits and the same on the way back down. We ended up going to the Glenhope Boundary cache before retracing our route then coming up from the Rotoroa Lake side later on.
After the earlier exertions 9for Garth's car) up the Porika this was time for a leisurely trip along the Braeburn Track towards Murchison. Looking forward to some more even ground and some relative park and grabs.
Near civilization again and asked G H 6 7 1 0 to swing by this one which evaded tom and I last time we passed. Despite having read the previous logs I started looking too high too. Garth came to where I was faffing about and pointed to that tell tale C O hide and said "have you looked there?"No, and when we did there was the cache
T F T C b&w. 102 caches this weekend, 53 today and many b&w caches in our totals. Thanks so much to all the C Os who placed and made our trip possible.
Until the next trip.........happy caching.

[green] Capperz and I have been here earlier, when we gave this wall quite a thorough search. We are here again, this time with GH6710, at the end of an awesome St Arnaud weekend, making use of GH's 4-wheel drive skills, and his 4-wheel drive car to take on the Porika and Braeburn tracks. Anyway, capperz and I got nowhere again. Took the fresh eyes to spot it, and the fresh brain to not make the assumption that we were making. We had assumed there is a lot more D to this cache!
Started looking too high, then realised where I should look. An impressive structure indeed.
6541. Off on a camping/geocaching holiday to Nelson. Day two was from Murchison to Tahuna This was our fourth stop for the day. Log book was in a bad state but we were able to write in it. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Day 3 of caching in and around St Arnaud/Nelson Lakes. Today mostly cachemobile, and some short walking.
This was #23 for the day.
At the time of our visit to Murchison today the car said it was 28 degrees C. Astonishing.
Made a straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed and then safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

On a big mission up to Nelson over Show Weekend with Purdiepurdie, Karma Reprint and Team_Gaters we signed our cache finds as PKTT the 'power packet' but we called ourselves the 'G4'. We headed off on Friday morning at 4.30am and made our way to Nelson today. We drove heaps, laughed heaps, found heaps of caches and poke our noses here and there. It was a great day we didn't stop until about 9.30pm for a cuppa and relax and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Quick one without the GPSr... onto the next.
Thanks for the cache.

TFTC. Out to play for the weekend with the destination of Nelson. Caching crew on board were Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and TheWanglers, logged as PKTT for this trip. Gosh did we have fun looking for caches, most of which we found, in this very beautiful part of our country.
A quick park and grab on the road to Nelson.
Thanks bumandworker for placing the cache.

Arrival at GZ had me worried this was going to present problems. But nope, soon spotted the hide. TFTC
TFTC - it was lovely next to the river - Mrs K had decided it was on the riverbank - however it was Mr D who had the right idea.
Quick grab from the highway. Thx

Enjoyed the chance to stretch the legs and cache an easy find once we arrived at GZ t4TC:)
We too found the plastic bag with a stone and paper in it, but then quickly found the actual cache, which is safe and well. TFTC
After a short walk and a quick look cache was soon in hand, another chance to stretch the legs on the way back to Nelson Thanx4tc
I think I found this. Found the remains of a aplastic bag with a rock and a log in it, although far too wet to sign.
That does not sound right...we will check it. But then....a previous log would suggest cache is still there.
Update to come soon.

Found it I think... Found and old plastic bag with a couple of pieces of paper (unreadable) and a rock and then Chelzea found a much better candidate. TFTC
We're getting better

A pre-conceived idea and so close yet so far away. No problem though after thinking it through and log was soon in hand. TFTC
A brief stop on the way to Murchison for a few hours cache hunting. I had never noticed the ramp before, not ever having had a reason to stop here. Cache soon signed then on our way again. TFTC.
Ah the joys of caching on you own. You actually get to stop and look for these ones!!
Found but bag was full of water so too wet to sign. A nice visit on an extremely hot day, the river sure did look appetizing!! Thanks
Great shoring up. Log seems to be quite damp. Found on way from ChCh to Nelson. TFTC
Leaving Murchison behind we hit the road again.Nice find whilst passing.

We made a short stop to strech our legs as suggested and also 'strechted' our arms to get the container. Took some photos and continued our journey. Thanks.

A very easy T2½.. was it originally placed somewhere else? The container was very wet.

Found while on the way to Murchison kayaking for the long weekend. Plenty of water in the Buller this weekend!! TFTC
I think I made this one harder for myself than what it really was. The cache was easy in the end. TFTC
Nice to stop and have a walk about, could not sign the log book and it was wet... GPS was spot on, nice easy find. T4TC
#3549. Shored up seems a bit of an understatement! Let's hope it is an enduring solution. TFTC.
Certainly been a lot of work done around here. Mother nature always seems to win in the end, though.

I Found this With A Broken foot on a caching Trip With Family - me, Gracie7 + mum and dad, we did 101 Caches over the Easter weekend. Gracie7 has given me a list of every cache I have done with her that i have not logged, TFTC A special thanks to Gracie7 + Mum for the Log List, I Had Tink from the start but she was not a traceable back then
Found on Easter Monday with furpurse, Mum & Dad. #3/24 finds for the day.
Had looked previously but was discourged and left without a proper search. We came back today determined and actually found it pretty fast. TFTC

Searching from above or from below, that was the question. The answer was "a". The place is impressive. I'm sure nature will win in the end. It's just a matter of time.
