Having to archive today as it is constantly being muggled. I have enjoyed having cachers visiting my back yard. Maybe I will set up another much more hidden so only cachers will find it.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring Australia after having attended Oz Mega. Big Grin

We have been camped at Mallala for a few nights with iluvtrekking and today we headed out in the hope of completing the PSA series and the It's a Small Wold (60) series along with a swag of other caches.

Think for us the PSA series has been our favourite power trail we have done in the last month. Great variety of hides and we had to think about where the caches might be hidden.

The only problem was the rain of a few days ago was likely to have left a few of the roads a bit muddy still. We tackled the all weather roads first then gingerly tested the Dry Weather Only Roads. We only saw one that looked impassable so the boys hopped out to test it and nearly got bogged on foot so that section they walked from one end to the other. Whilst the ladies looped around and picked up a nearby multi before picking them up at the other end.

Fabulous day out and about with friends and lots of smilies. Think there were only 3 DNF's that we remember. Big Grin

The cache container was broken so we replaced it with a new one. Added a new log after being unable to find the old logsheet, then we found the old one so added both to the new container.

It was time to get out and about to hit some more powertrails of SA. We had decided to make today's target the PSA series and see where we went from there. Well we ended up doing the PSA and the APM series as well as a heap of random caches along the way.

specimenX was in fine form today, juiced up on her coffee and brekkie, off we went. We had no issues with farmers on the PSA today however we did unfortunately come across 4 DNF's on the series. We also came across a couple of caches which were crumbling due to the exposure to the weather. I will place 'Needs Maintenance' logs on those caches for the CO Smile

Had a great time out and about in SA today and looking forward to what tomorrow brings. Would like to thank OzFiresafe for the PSA series and firesafe for the APM series. Also all the other CO's who have caches out that we have been hitting over the next week and a bit Smile

Bring on the Oz Mega Big Grin

PSA Series completed, APM series completed, picked up a few randoms, and now it was time to grab a couple more randoms before making our way back to where we are staying while here Big Grin Didn't feel too comfortable collecting this one.....

Thanks for the find Moses on the move Smile

14-Apr-14
Off we go for another fun filled day of caching! After a late start, Rapidlywild and I managed to power through two power trails plus a whole heap of random caches for a total of 90 finds!-not a bad day's effort I reckon! Big Grin

The APM power trail was the second of the two for us. I was the runner (energizer bunny more like!) and RW was the driver-although she did join in on a few of the searches when I needed a second set of eyes! Smile.

Random little spot-but nice, quick find Big Grin

Thanks for the hide, Moses on the move Smile

Headed out today to do the Small world series and a few of the surrounding caches, as we get half way through the small world series the skies open up causing mini flash flooding making the roads very slippery and boggy so we head away to firmer grounds and clean up the other caches in the area, today i was very brave and soon had cache in hand, no muggles around so made for a easy find. Found with TriBre and Mastamak while in Adelaide on a four day geocaching excursion from Brisbane.

Thank you to all cache owners on a fantastic bunch of geocaches.

24-Apr-13
This cache was found on Day One of our four Day Adelaide Caching Tour, with TriBre, Fairybum, Mastamak, KidzJCT and Running as Teams BosNewellgus and Gummy Dales. Team BosNewellgus (Mastamak and TriBre) had arrived on the morning flight in from Brisbane and had a full day of sunlight before Team Gummy Dales arrived.

Having stopped and refueled after our flight from Brisbane (I slept as much as I could on the flight as we had been up till passed midnight with a first to find hunt before our 6am flight!) Even in our tried state, there was caches to be found and we had the daylight to do it! We started with the Premiers of SA, then on to It's a small world and followed by the Australian Prime Ministers Series. There was a few odd ones on the way...Even a STF.

With the large volume of finds I have written a generic log. I would like to thank the CO's for creating a Great time out and I can assure you fun was had by all. I believe we will be planning another trip to SA....

This was the 113rd find of 154 finds for the day in SA, with no DNF's for the day Fantastic! We also had a midnight First to Find grab in Queensland before our Trip.

24-Apr-13
Found with TriBre and our team BosNewellgus.

We were down from Brisbane for 4 days of geocaching. KidzJCT and Fairy Bum were flying in later that night. As the advance party this was our chance to test the SA geocaching landscape.

We got into Adelaide at about 9am and were tired after an early flight which followed a midnight FTF hunt back in Brisbane. But that wasn’t going to stop us and after a quick food stop and quick stop to collect our first South Australian cache we were off to complete a few powertrails today in particular PSA, APM and It’s a Small World as well as many individual cahces.

I hope everyone in SA realise how good they have it here geocaching wise. A geocache almost everywhere you turn. We had a fantastic time while here and no doubt will be back again sometime. A big thank you to all cache owners whose caches we found.

Due to the volume of caches found I have only written a generic log. This should in no way detract from the fun we had in finding each and every cache.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.

Today is for the Its a small world and Premiers of SA series. Along with a few caches to get there and back to Gawler. With the name of the cache in mind we persisted well beyond what I may have done, and was happy to find it.

Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.

Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

This cache was found by Team PacketStorm and Team Indiana08 whilst completing their designated mission to SA. The teams set out together on the 01/02/13 to 09/02/13 to gain as many smiley's as they could in a short amount of time. Both teams logs will be exactly the same but I can assure you much fun was had by all.

Thank you to all cache owners who have placed and maintained these caches.

Day 7, 07/02/13, We set off from Mallala again this morning and completed the 'APM' series. We then found as many caches as we could around the area and stopped for the night in Gawler. We ended up with 67 finds for the day.

Found during a massive 24 hour cache-a-thon with Rediguana, ADV, Hello Mrs and Pohutukawa - on the homeward stretch of our Oz MEGA trip.
We did 231 caches in this one day - a new personal best and an Australian record (until growingupisoptional put it in its place just one week later).

Sorry for the generic logs.
We had an awesome time with the TdF, APM and much of the NXY serries' of caches, as well as many others in between. Unfortunately they were all a blur in long, long, day.

A quick find on a bit of an adventure day for the Grumpy drag along (geohubby) to help Burton's reach 2000 by new years.
