Found the memorial no probs but as per the previous comment there were no paperbarks along the fence where the GZ co-ords pointed too. Just a cpl of tree stumps.
Worked out the co-ordinates. Walked over to ground zero to discover that about 20 metres of trees, paperbark trees?, had in very recent times being chopped down and clear away. No cache or paperbarks in sight. Silkyie
Worked out the photo location from Google. Found the required information and worked out the coordinates quickly. A short dash to gz and a quick find. TFTC

We made an early start from home, with our destination - Sale, plugged in. The traffic was light as the new school term had commenced, the wind was much cooler than we anticipated however not cool enough to prevent quite a number of cache stops. We collected the information and headed to the GZ, interesting to find this cache has a Terrain Rating of 1. You would certainly need an off road wheelchair to access this one! Satellites today had our GZ 7m north of where we found the cache.
Thanks to Carpo's Crusaders for the hunt.

Realized where this one was some time ago, finally got around to tracking it down. TNLN TFTC
Kato Potato's handy brain solved the location of this cache and we were off. A quick feed of the geobabies at the memorial in the winter sun and we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC Carpo's Crusaders!
Enjoyed having a bit of a snoop around the posted coordinates but quickly found the right spot and located the cache with kyabbott and geobabies in tow. TFTC
Thanks for the interesting history lesson

Nope, we surely ain't. We holler from across the water over yonder. But we trucked on down and found ya hide. Y'all take care now.
Eventually found this cache and relieved when we did. TFTC. Now we can continue on our way home after a great week end.
I am not that far from around here but learn't a bit more history today. Thanks Carpo's Crusaders.
3rd and final find for the day (first completed Puzzle cache in quite sometime), before coffee and donuts in Sale. Found with Sappy13 and Smart Sassy Siren on the way home from our Rosedale Vegemite Scroll Dash.
On the way back to the car feeling disappointed that we had not found the cache, I had a quick look to see if their was another paperbark, which there was and Smart Sassy siren just seemed to be in the right spot to pull the cache out from thin air.
So luckily we were able to head off with 3 out of 3 for the afternoon, even without GPSr's which I never usually leave home without, except in this case.

Third find for the day enroute home from Rosedale with Chaplain Mike although this took us longer to find than the other two put together! I knew the start point and easily found all the information required to calculate GZ but with an overcast day and with iPhone's in hand our compass was definitely 10m out (should have brought the GPSr's). Thankfully on our way back to the car I decided to have one last look with a hint in mind and promptly spotted the cache to Mike's amazement. SL TNLN TFTC!
This was a nice easy puzzle to solve, followed by a straightforward find not far from where we had parked. We enjoyed it.
Log a little damp.

1159 27012013 2nd find for day s enjoyed watching a helicopter with wheels go through its paces while we searched for cache. I did compare images from Google to make sure i did not go to the wrong place. Found with cache eyes. Still needs a new replacement log.

On our way home from a nice weekend in Sale we had just pulled into the Water Tower and this was the next closest. Seeing the sign Mr X pointed us in the right direction which led us to the information board. No one was about which did suprise us seeing it was such a lovely sunny calm day, we thought the flyers would be out taking advantage of it. Did the numbers and searched in the general area. It looked as if there had been some workers around so not sure if it has gone or not.
Enjoyed the history lesson Carpo's Crusaders, thanks for bringing us here

[maroon]I was in Sale for work today, and after finishing, I went out to do some of the new caches in the area.
As there was a new cache nearby and I hadn't done this cache, I thought it would do it first. As I arrived, ESSO workers were doing there change over. So I took off and did the others and returned later.
I looked around in a few spots and then I found it. There was water inside the cache. I dried it as best as possible.

Found by Mary & David at 0955. No trouble with the numbers, and soon found the container, empty as reported by Ross47. Added a temporary log in a zip-lock bag. Our thanks again to Carpo's Crusaders.
Found @ 19:30 whilst travelling from Melbourne to Cann River for the Alpine Rally. I thought it would be a good idea to break the trip with a cache or two. I quickly found the information board and obtained the necessary information. I had never realised all the history of the area - very interesting.
Unfortunately things went downhill from there. I calculated the GZ and in the ever increasing rain headed over to it. I hate to be the one that lets you know but the cache has been muggled. I found a container lid and thought to myself I hope that isn't relevant - then I found the container itself and nearby a clump of sodden paper which on closer inspection appears to be some logs sheets. I put the paper back into the container and put it back into where I assume it should have been. Unfortunately I didn't have much with me so couldn't restore it at all. This is one area where I thought, even though it could get quite busy at times, muggles wouldn't be likely to find anything - I was wrong.
I didn't see any goodies in the area - but I was getting rather wet by this time, not to mention the disappointment of finding my first muggled cache - so if I missed something, sorry. There will always be mixed feelings about this hide as it was also my 250th GC find. I am calling it a find but unfortunately I couldn't sign the log.
My thanks to Carpo's Crusaders for bring me here for an interesting history lesson and for placing the cache. Sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news.

Found the cache on a day I went solo, no Hillbridge to direct me, so I successfully passed GO and didn't have to go to goal. Wait wrong game. Oh well, I used lateral thinking and followed the signs to one of Gippslands historical monuments. Not much activity today both on the field and off. Thanks Carpo. Hillbridge keep thinking.

While on the way back from a trip we wanted to grab a few caches and I like a puzzle cache, easy or not. The location to start was not hard to identify and easy to drive to. The rain was Torrential while we grabbed the needed clues, headed to our worked out GZ to find a big pile of dirt on top of what we believed to be GZ. The rain did not help, after some looking and some poking around I decided to take a look around at other possible GZ's based of the hint. I shortly had the cache in had, We signed the log and headed of. I drove down the road 200m and then stopped the Diesel Pajero to grab by sunglasses out of the back. I could not find my glasses and jumped back in the car to drive of. Then the dashboard started to flah a new light.. Plus the car would not go above 40km/h. I told PT539 I had a new light on the dashboard and the car feels wrong. He said "Are we in limp mode ?". My answer was yes.. We where in a predicament... Story continues at GC252PB. TFTC
It pays to know the area. WP1 was easy enough but locating the cache was a little more difficult. GPSr was giving conflicting results, A long debate about arborology showed we know little, Thanks for the cache Carpo's Dropped off Opener No.3 TB and picked up the 'Finger's TB

I got a bit mixed up at the start but soon sorted it out. GZ was a bit out for me but logic prevailed and the cache was soon to hand. A good place to put a cache to learn me something!
While on a hardware run to Sale this morning I thought I'd make a slight detour to grab this cache. Found the info required and did the calc. After a bit of a search I checked my workings out. Hmmm gps insisted on a particular spot but cache was located elsewhere. Overcast conditions tend to do this I have found. T-Nerd guy L-Penguin eraser. Dropped off 4th of July GC. Love the name of this cache. Thanks again Carpos' for the hunt.
When we saw this one published we knew exactly where to go. We set off this morning and came to the wp to gather the coords. I was a bit worried as there were quite a few workers just up the road - I was hoping the gz wasn't near there. I worked out the coords and we were off.....until the arrow pointed towards a long black section.....hmmm...not going there. A quick check had one number out. With the coords fixed we were soon at the GZ - five minutes later we had the cache in hand. Took a TB and GC to move along. Most appropriate TB too! Left a book mark and ball.
Thanks Carpo for the cache - we've got some new "FTF Certificates" now!!!
