After my last visit, I confirmed the hide with CO and it is definitely gone. Made the trek out with a new container so this is now back and ready for more finds.Glad I was able to keep some older hides alive as it would be a shame to lose them. Thanks for making the original hide Hinklenator, the community is with you.

Pretty sure I found the hide but the cover was lying on the ground and hide was empty. Have MSGed owner.

The cache has definitely seen better days, but it’s still serviceable. Interesting spot, wondering what the history or original use was?

Out exploring with my blue dog. Found it, thank you for the cache.

12-Dec-21
Cache was found without any issues, though there is no container holding this one anymore. And the result was a wet and soggy logbook. Will need replacement before anyone can use it.

17-Apr-19
An easy find while in the park although there was only a logbook in a bag.

15-Apr-19
Dez (JezNDez), Lennondayz29 and I headed off on Friday from Brisbane, making our leisurely way south towards the Mega event in Queanbeyan. Our overnight stop last night was Dubbo and, with an early start, continued our journey southwards. Another cracking autumn day with sun shining and barely a cloud in the sky.

After a full day of caching and a slight change to the itinerary of caches due to time getting away from us, we arrived into Wagga late afternoon. After dropping Lennondayz29 at our overnight accommodation, Dez and I headed out to target this and another nearby cache that, for some reason, had not seen a visitor in 20 months.

There were a few local walkers in the area but most were heading back to the cars as we arrived. Setting off in the failing light, we pondered the lack of recent finders. It's an easily accessible location with good trails that would easily accommodate a decent stroller and lead almost the entire way to GZ! And an interesting structure at the final destination to top it all off.

At GZ the decoy was first located but then only the logbook was found, minus any container, After signing the log we replaced it with a little more protection against the elements, but will need a new container to ensure longevity of the logbook.

A great area to walk in, and definitely deserves more visitors. TFTC

14-Apr-19
Headed out of Brisbane on Friday afternoon with Seff and Lennondayz29 to head to the Mega. We had our first overnight stop in Moree, spent Saturday caching our way to Dubbo for another overnight stop, and Sunday was spent working our way through more of the epic Seff-list. Finally we arrived in Wagga and dropped Lennondayz off at the accommodation to get cleaned up and have a break before dinner, while Seff and I headed out for a few more caches, including this one.

As we parked Victor del Prado and headed off down the track we saw a few walkers returning to their vehicles in the fading light; apparently we were the only ones nuts enough to be heading out in the fading light! Having seen a NT plate in the carpark this was something of a relief as I'd been joking about some random territories cacher beating us to the unloved on offer here!

The track made for a seriously easy stroll to GZ where the cache, well, the decoy and log book anyway, were found very easily. Seems like any cache container has long gone! Seff and I were able to bodge something up using what was available and a ziploc bag donated by Seff, but this will need a new container at some point - it's amazing the log book is in such good condition! TFTC and the unloved.

I have another day off work. I guess I could go get some geocaches for the last souvenir of the month. It was a great day as the warm sun was shining and the birds were singing. All this and great locations made for a fun day. Smile Thanks to all CO’s for the fun I had and the caches I found today.
On arrival at GZ within a minute or two I found the red herring and then a minute or two later I found the soggy log book. I could just make my mark as shown in the picture. Great location! Smile

Found it the other week, forgot to log it till now.. Nice location..

22-May-16
Cache is a bit waterlogged, great hiding place Smile

13-May-16
A cross country compass bearing through the pines from the Pommy Galah was not the easiest way to find this cache with the expected deviation down hill from the intended route. Fortunately, the GZ is easy to find but then the question of where is the cache. This is one of those places that you would never find but for geocaching and I was glad to discover this art setting in the bush. Shame about the morons who have to destroy things though....The log was found because the lid was on the ground which led to a soaked cache log discovery. I would have taken the log home to dry it out but I don't know when I will be back. The soaked cache will need some attention though.....Thanks Hinklenator for a cache in a place well worth discovering, definitely a favourite.

#424 it has been a little time since I have been at the computer to do some logging now it is well and truly time to catch up on the geocache logging and leave the waymarks alone for a little while although it has been fun adding a number of waymarks. Just to keep you all up to date I am on day 125 of continuous caching and have 28 days of caching to log before I am up to date.

This was an early morning raid before the rains hit. The walk to GZ was enjoyable despite the weather begging to set in with the forecast for rain today it was great to get it whilst still dry. This was a nice play on the name and just an interesting place to visit. It is a shame there is no information about this at the site.

Thanks Hinklenator for a great place and an interesting cache.

After catching a few caches at the top of the hill we decided to head back to the car, but after loosing my bearing we accidentally walked straight towards this one instead. After finally pulling out the iPhone, I realised how close we were. So we hit this one quickly on the head. Am glad we made the detour. It's a nice cache at an interest place! TFTC!

Last cache on the way out just as the night was really starting to chill down. Found the most obvious bit first Wink, before finding the correct one shortly afterwards. Nice job. TFTC.

23-Jul-11
Found the decoy. Not the real thing. Sad

Quite a long walk from the carpark near the golf course, but it was a pleasant sunny day so didn't mind. Not being a local got a little lost on the tracks, ended up cutting through the bush to GZ. Not the sort of structures expecting out here... An easy find although the decoy had me fooled! Thanks.

We thought seen as the weather had dropped considerably it was time to tackle the caches in the "Car free Pommy Park" we had been putting off for some time.
A very interesting location - many thanks Hinklenator for sharing this spot with us - and hanging out for the afternoon! Big Grin

#1139 @ 4.25pm. Continuing our walk in the area this hot and humid arvo - we had wet t-shirts and red faces. Interesting place at GZ which is in need of some TLC - perhaps they should let vehicles back in Wink. Dad found the log book on the ground next to GZ and soon after the Queen located the lid of the cache. The log book was saturated so we've replaced with a new one and have replaced where it was meant to be. We can post log book to you - just email your details. TNLNSL TFTC Hinklenator - very nice hide [^]

BEWARE: We parked at the entrance to this park near the Golf Course and the NinjaGolf was assaulted (as well as another) whilst we were walking this area. Future cachers may prefer to park in the Golf Car Park for safety otherwise locals may be able to provide safer parking co-ords. It seems that this is not the 1st time incidents such as this have occurred here. We had a breezy trip back to Albury praying that it wouldn't rain (& it did!) & our load was lightened substantially .....BUGGAR.

What a wierd place and more creepy at night time. Found on our first true night cache run with Oakeydoakey. Nice hide in good condition.
This was the last in this area for the night. No vehicle access means that we had to park over near the golf course and walk through the park to get the caches in order so we have a long walk back from this one. You don't realise how many spiders there are until you walk through them all at night.

Interesting place! Geokid enjoyed finding this one.

I initially logged the wrong Stonehenge cache (GCP08M). At the time I thought it was quite odd that my GPSr showed the cache to be 35 metres away, whilst Ciril’s was spot on. Despite finding the cache archived I went ahead and happily logged it, although I did think it was a bit strange. I have been back to the cache lisiting several times to see if it had been re-instated. On checking up recently and noticing that there were still no logs from many of the other Mega visitors my suspicions increased, so I searched for my nearby unfound caches. Lo and behold this one came up about 30 metres away! On the night we were there we hadn’t actually planned on doing this cache, but on Astro's advice we finished off our round of night caching at this spot. Looked so interesting, pity the pillars have not been maintained, but the fallen stones fit in with the Stonehenge concept.

ROCKY GLEN GROMMETS found this with crane2 and ciril when in Wagga Wagga for the Oz Mega - found out while night caching. Amazing structures.

Cool little spot that I never knew existed. I was in a bit of a rush to grab as many caches as I could over the weekend so didn't stop to really take in the effort of the area, but I will return. Thank you for showing me this area.

They say it was an astronomical calculator. Most say for eclipses and things like that. Duncan Steel says otherwise. Read his book on Armageddon and he says they used it to predict deathly meteor showers. The longbows nearby were the air raid shelters. I like that theory. Pray for clear skies.

This was cache # 4 of 28 for the day in the company of acts2youthgroup on day Four of our Oz Mega event.

It's a shame that this has been vandalized, as it would have looked great if all the statues were standing.

Even though we didn't technically qualify for the game, myself and Mrs Murf went for a drive to check out some of the OZ Megopoly. We subsequently found ourselves here, with an unfound cache staring up from the GPS. Too good an opportunity to pass up, and it turned out to be a nifty hide too. I have to credit Mrs Murf with the eyes this time, as she quickly pointed it out to me.
Cheers,

We had decided to concentrate on the Oz Mega Megopoly game and not worry about finding traditional caches. But after running into another geocacher further up the hill who told us about this one we couldn't resist the temptation to come back for a smilie.

While we were replacing it we were 'caught' by a lovely little family with whom we made friends before the day was out. I love geocaching!
