We climbed on and under the right bridge "the old one"
And even went right down to look on the river bank as well.
While we were there we got into contact with other catchers who gave us some clues.
But even though we were there for a long time looking we couldnot find the cache , film container , brick , rock or any of the other place others suggested.

Second time out here looking for this one maybe three times lucky.
There was no sign of the cache anywhere while we were searching 2 locals came past and told us that the flood water was up to the bridge so the cache may have been washed away.
Suggest that the C.O. have a look for it.

This was another long awaited puzzle cache to find...and one that has been sitting in the 'solved' file for too long. Parked at the nearest access point and walked 700m or so to GZ where I came upon the likely spot. After searching around for a good 10 mins, the only thing to be found sitting on the ground was a small film canister sized container with nothing in it. Walked back to the car a little dejected as it seemed this one was gone.
I happened to ring a previous finder later in the day who mentioned that the container I found was indeed the right container...so with that...I returned to find the container again, and place a new log sheet in it for the next finder.
Really enjoyed the concept of this puzzle, and nice to finally put it on the found list.
Gratias Team Woodbats.

Decoded the message many moons ago and today was the day to find it.
Took to the track and walked out to gz had just started searching when a car load of muggles turned up parking right at the gz and started unloading fishing gear.
Oh well there is always next time.

Our 6560th overall find.
From memory I think I solved this one within a week of it being published, well today was the day. A short walk out to the GZ and the cache was very quickly in hand. I'd hate to be at the GZ if a train came along. It sure looks dry out here.
Thanks Team Woodbats for the cache.

first find, how exciting, was with one of the daughters who lives not far away so a walk up the tracks wasnt out of the ordinary, we cant wait for our next find. thanks Team Woodbats.
0808 GAFF1 On way to Lithgow for an Event, from Taree. And having found Qrubicle thought I'd get least a couple in Newcastle/Singleton on the way through. Think the Terrain rating is fair enough, as it depend on where you come in from!
Had a slight drizzle happening.
Log was a bit damp, but wrong time of day to try and dry it out.
Found GZ about 8m off
Through: Coins - 3Bros, AustLighthouse, Iconic Bridges, B2B ingot, Baa, Neigh and Oink, SummerLovin521TB, and trackable shirt.

One puzzle where the answer was obvious to us immediately - you either will know it or not have a clue! After studying google earth to find shortest way to get to GZ a quick walk and even quicker look had cache in our hands. Overall a very enjoyable cache although geokid was disappointed with severe lack of aliens! TFTC
Out on a day of caching with dalsmit and spikeymikey and having worked this one out when it was first posted I finally got to go after it. Spikeymikey got his hands to it first, I think it was about his tenth time there trying to find it, he just needed us to guide him.....in saying that I can't see how this cache is legal because it is against the law to be this close to railway tracks, and to have to walk it makes it hard to explain your presence their. Nearly trod on a fair size red belly black snake on the way back, not sure how we missed it the first time, poor thing was dead though.

Good walk for a fun cache. Lookout for the dead Red Belly Black. We must have passed close by on the way out but only noticed it on the return walk. Still made us jump, couldn't see how it died. Good location, thanks for the hide Team Woodbats.
A day of caching with Dalsmit and TheHeadChef.
Finally made it out here again, and finally found the cache. I swear it wasn't there the last two times!!!
It is soooooo good to finally end this cache.

The son was getting a bit tetchy so I let him have the GPS again, I found this one before he did.No trains today. TFTC.
Worked this one out about six months ago and finally got around to having a crack at it. It was a pleasant walk and an interesting spot, on the way in we passed some muggles coming out carrying fishing sticks, they didn't seem to have had much luck. Over all an enjoyable cache. TFTC.
Found with Team unibolt nice day for a walk interesting place Thanks Team Woodbats
found this cache after a walk through two cow paddocks in the rain, It was a fun trip and well worth the effort. Took Geolux pathtag and left hand charm.
Mrs Chippyroo worked this one out nearly a year ago but we never seemed to get around to it until today!
Our gps took us to a couple if gates on a turn of the dirt road all with private property signs. We drove to the end of the road and found the right track. We took a nice stroll to the sounds of frogs and quickly had the cache in hand. Well Mr Chippyroo had the cache in hand as Mrs Chippyroo was distracted by the lumps of coal! Thank you Woodbats.

After working out the puzzle with the help of geochild 2 Geowife and I headed off to look for cache. After arriving at GZ late in the afternoon we looked for cache but no luck, gave up as it was now getting dark. Decided to head there next day to look in daylight. Looked for awhile again no luck was just about to give up when I looked down in the grass and there it was all the time. After reading other comments believe it must have fallen there. TFTC

Found this one after quite a long walk. Main location of hint looks like has been destroyed due to works by new F'way. Took a guess at which way to go, guessed wrong, but found eventually. Also found on ground. Tftc.
WOW I have finally found this one.
I solved the puzzle within the first week of this one being published.
It has taken me a couple of days under 12 months to get to this one. I should have come sooner as I enjoyed this cache and the walk.
I parked within 800m and came to a locked gate. I checked all the signs on the gate with warning about removing plants by the NPWS and that the are is part of the buffer zone around the aluminium smelter but there was nothing about tresspassing. The gate only appears to be there to stop cars crossing the train lines.
I enjoyed a walk out to GZ and then enjoyed the rural area around it.
Well done Woodbats

Worked out the coordinates to this cache with the help of blue_trax a few weeks ago and i finally got the chance to check it out this morning after a night at work.
Parked the car and done the 700m trek to GZ and after searching for about 10min ,I looked down and here's the cache laying on the ground fully exposed, maybe vibrated out of its hide by all the passing trains.
After signing the log i placed the cache back in a bit of a hide and covered it with some rocks. I don't know if it's where it is meant to be but i am pretty sure it wasn't meant to be laying fully exposed on the ground.
I left the Darth Trader path tag for the next person.
Thanks Woodbats for the challenge.

Thanks for the cache, went on a walk with Darth Trader and Gazza Matazz.
Had to get off the tracks to avoid the train.
Nice work Woodbats.

Before we left for our Woodbat cache run today we sat down and butted heads to translate the intersepted transmission.
when we thought we had solved it we hit a few other caches on the way and pulled up in a part of town near the listed co-ords and took a long hike up a trail to the GZ.
Another old guy pulled up behind us with a smile on his face and a SLR camera, and I thought we had another cacher along for the ride, but it turned out he was just another old guy with a smile on his face and a SLR camera and he just dissappeared after a while. Maybe he was a reporter for a vampire magazine.
Further up the trail a long, empty coal train thought he should us this track and rattled along beside us for ages and ages and ages.
a quick seach at the place we thouhgt to be the GZ quickly netted us a Micro cache. (I was hoping to find the slimy head of an alien, or a small tin UFO, I know you Woodies have metal shop skills).
But all in all there was a lot of work put in to this cache and I appreciate it.
well done Woodies.

How's this one going? I spent quite a while doing the ground work on this one, I'd hate to see it disappear!
[This one turned into a saga and I recommend you disable it immediately]. We walked in from near the reserve and noticed that someone had been removing the old rails and sleepers along the way. When we arrived at GZ all of the sleepers and rail had been removed from the old bridge. The supporting structure is still there and the grass near the bridge has been burnt. Probably started by the gas axes used to remove the rails. We searched the area anyway and could not find a cache and refering to GDs logs there were no piles of rocks covering a cahe. It looks like they have even removed some components of the newer bridge. Owing to the activity at the site I would be very surprised if the cache has not been muggled, though I am happy to be proven wrong. The trip also cost me a pair of shorts due to the barbed wire near GZ and my clumsiness.
This cache would have taken some time to set up and I was looking forward to finding it. I recomend you disable it until you can check it out and i would leave it a few weeks to let the work be completed. Thanks anyway Team Woodbats.

If I've worked out the co-ords properly, then this is an interesting spot for a cache.
But I couldn't find it.
Needs another try.

Worked out the co-ordinates for the Mayday message and made a trip to Kurri-Kurri. The first WP was easy but we couldn't get any closer than about 800m to the crash site because of locked gates and Keep Out Trespassers Will be Prosecuted and Private Property Keep Out signs. Looks like the aliens are going perish. It's not a DNF but a CNGTI (could not get to it) The day wasn't a waste of time as we found 5 other caches.
*FTF* number three for the evening. Solved the puzzle quickly after the listing came out the other night and went for the walk this afternoon, interesting spot. The cache was lying out in the open easily seen from above so I put it back where I think it was and put a couple of rocks around it to hold it there.
Took CG.
Thanks.
