I gave had the final for this for what feels like 5 or more years, but at gz I couldn't find the hint, but about 30 metres away I did and also found the caching, guessing co moved it at some stage or I had the wrong gz, either way log signed.Find number 8999 on 24 August 2024. Mystery CacheThanks For The Cache
On our previous visit way back in June 2021, we logged a DNF. Today, we are back in the area, followed our GPS, and thought history was going to repeat itself. After checking the hint, we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the fun puzzle GJMMelb and bringing us back to this lovely location.
We weren't far from this location today to it made searching for this one ideal. Not sure why we didn't have a log on this cache as we are both sure that we have been here before. The cache was located with no problems, signed, returned and now making sure it is logged. Thanks for the placing of this cache.
We needed to find a cache today and also go to Eastland so this was perfect. When we arrived, we were both fairly sure we had been here before. Not sure why we didn't put a DNF on it or log it so making sure that it is logged appropriately this time. Also not sure why we didn't find it on our previous visit as we managed to find it this time with no problems. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
After hosting our first event nearby to celebrate this beautiful leap day, we hopped on down to GZ for this cache. It was lovely to meet the COs at the event and hear the story behind creating this series that I've been enjoying so much!I can now add a mystery cache to this hole in my calendar, filling in the final day - an appropriate 366th one I'd say given its rarity. Thanks for the cache and the fun puzzle GJMMelb
**Happy Valentine's Day!**I needed to find a mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=dc135a03-cc4f-4381-a4b2-0feb0a96e411&ds=2) [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N), and with having plans after work with the snuggle muggle I knew I wouldn't have anytime to grab a cache. So with working from home today, I decided to try and sneak out on my lunch break to try and grab this cache. Once I arrived at GZ my phone homed in on the correct beacon and after a short search the cache was in hand. Of course that is when I heard some exercising muggles start to head my way.So I retreated to a less busy place to sign the log. Once the log was signed and the coast clear at GZ I was able to replace the cache back into it's hiding spot. Another fun little puzzle in this **Hooked on Books** series, three now finished on to the next!I ended up picking up the [Green Paw (TB51X6C) trackable](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=b8189db6-05ef-4f29-9054-3fadb8e57744) from another cache the other day, but due to the size of this cache I will just "dip" it here and keep it moving.A big thanks goes to [GJMMelb](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=590a63f2-f374-4bfe-97d1-a4a965a81ac4&wid=e43e49e2-c48c-45ef-930d-f0905dc18d0e&ds=2) for another fun little puzzle. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The inner contents were nice and dry and the logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Puzzle caches were something I didn't tackle for a while after beginning caching, but with online help groups and skills learnt, I have progressed somewhat. This was a nice simple puzzle for newbies like me. I was in Ringwood on an errand this morning, via some maintenance on one of our SideTracked caches, and took a quick detour to find this solved some time ago puzzle. No muggles around, so the retrieve, sign and reset was performed without incident. All in good dry condition. TFTC GJMMelb
I solved this puzzle quite a while ago but had 1 unsuccessful attempt at finding the cache since. This time ( with the help of the hint) a quick find was achieved. Perhaps my coordinates are out a bit. Nice hide. Not many muggles about which made it easier. TFTC.
bunadoorian had solved this a long time ago and we both had been here to try and find this cache to a DNF. Today we are back to try and find it. bunadoorians co-ords had us looking about 22 mtrs out. With the help from the hint I soon had the cache in hand. TFTC and the fun in finding - GJMMelb.
Found it! Ive been looking at these mystery caches for year but havent got around to solving them cause I thought they were too hard. But I had a proper look and I worked this one out easily enough. I think they may have changed over the years Im not sure. I thought I had to the local library. Anyway Ive solved and not found this one but forgot to collect the clue so Ill have to visit again. TFTC SL
I have been trying to build my puzzle skills and this was within my capacity. Today was the day to collect the prize! I enjoyed the stroll around the lake and upon arriving at GZ I quickly retrieved and signed the log between passing muggles. Thanks GJMMelb, I do like reading Dumas as well so that was a bonus.
Mr Pooky completed this puzzle during one of the lockdowns but we have never been out to actually find the cache. The co ordinates had changed slightly since then so we made the adjustment to our calculations and headed out to locate the cache. Due to the Dublin Road rail crossing removal and the upgrading of Ringwood East railway station we had to go on a bit of a cooks tour to get to GZ. Once parked we took the short walk and after waiting for Muggles to pass Mr Pooky made a relatively quick easy find. TFTC and the puzzle which Mr Pooky enjoyed doing during lockdown.
Yay.. my first puzzle cache. Thank you so much I really enjoyed solving the puzzle and finding cache.
Worked out the coordinates this time last year while in quarantine, and saved it for our To Do list the next time we came to Melbourne. (Hello from Japan btw). In the meantime, disaster struck and the cache coordinates changed. Not to worry though.
Came here with special guest, Rina, for a lovely walk in the park, and while we were in the area, found the other Ringwood Lake cache.
Easy find thanks to the hint.

Up early to make a special trip to complete the 28 day streak - off I drove to a spot near a removal crossing, and having to stop and wait for a train either side of finding the cache, happy to see this worth go ahead. The cache was surprisingly larger than I expected and found quickly once I reached gz. It was tough going getting this streak done with so few unfound caches close to home. I wonder what the next challenge will bring! tftc
This was the first puzzle of this series that I tackled and I thoroughly enjoyed working on it. (Not so much the next puzzle I tackled but that's another story full of weeping, wailing and sulking before my seeking help from the CO)
So, puzzle completed, I first tried to find the cache a few days ago when I only had my phone on me.....no etrex and as luck would have it (or not) my phone was playing up hopelessly sending me wandering all over the place, kilometres away... ...I very quickly got the grumps and headed home determined to give my etrex a good talking to for not insisting on coming out with me.
This afternoon BlueBM, etrex and I gave it a second shot and were delighted to quickly locate the cache, sign the log and be on our way.
Funnily enough, my phone continued to give bogus compass directions for other caches for another 3 days before suddenly getting over its headache and deciding to behave itself. Thanks for the cache GJMMelb.

I had solved this one some time ago with out too much trouble. The online source material was certainly a blessing.
A nice hide was found today while I was in the area picking up clues for another cache.

It's convenient having these old books online! I don't know how many times I've been past here and now I've finally found this cache that's been hanging around on my nearby list for many years. Thanks!
Solved this one ages ago and had made a couple of feeble attempts to find .. I noticed that GZ had changed and with the hint I thought .. maybe not too snakey!! ..so today was the day.. loved the new hiding place .. a favourite point from me
Story read, answers collected and now the cache has been found Thanks for placing this series although I’ve just realised I haven’t collected all the clues
Might get a call for help from me
Might get a call for help from me
Whole area has changed and hide has gone miss8ng. Disabling till we can replace with a different type of hide
Unfortunately I did not find anything here. Will keep an eye on the cache and will come back if someone else does find it!
With most of today set aside for chores and cleaning up after last night's storm, it left only a short break to find a few caches.
Since my local area has limited opportunities these days, a trip to the Ringwood area was made.
Everything smell fresh and new after so much rain.
Muggle traffic was very light at this time and so the search began. I soon felt the container in a spot that I had already checked, albeit not thoroughly enough.
Thanks for the cache, the series and the walk in the bush GJMMelb.

It's taken another year to find myself within striking distance of turning a solved puzzle into a find.
Last time n0w0rries and I were on the hunt, torrential rainstorms precluded getting this penultimate (for us) cache in the series. The weather is gorgeous this morning.
Fortunately, the walking group that set off from the car park at the same time as yours truly headed in the other direction. Which meant it was nice and quiet here.
Hmmmm... what looks like a likely spot for a cache? Over here... but the needle points away... there?
A sneaky hide that even questing fingers might miss on the first pass, GJMMelb.
And now I have all the clues...
Oh? There?

In Melbourne for 2 days to help celebrate the palindromic date with fellow cachers last night, we worked through a presolved mystery list as well as adding some labcaches and multis into the mix. Having worked on the Hooked on Books series prior to our visit this week we unfortunately didn't have time to pick them all up, so the 3 musketeers was the only one we were able to sign. Clue collected for our next visit.
Thanks GJMMelb for the puzzle placement.

Another find in this wonderful series- love it Walked back to car without code but realised and went back. TFTC
No luck today .. maybe it was me or maybe something to do with a recent parks clean up .. I will be back
Stunning area, however, we failed to locate the cache. It’s probably just us, but there has been a recent cleanup. I’ll keep a watch on this one.
Thanks GJMMelb. Enjoyed solving the puzzle.

The last cache for the day and I have sore feet. I loved this story as a child and still do. You can’t go past swashbuckling men and sword fighting. The puzzle was solved and the cache was found no problems in a beautiful place. This is a lovely series.

This was one of the puzzle solved during lockdown and one of the few not collected close to home. After a afternoon shop at Eastland with my geokids, master nine (geoninja) asked if we could stop and collect some caches.. you see he was feeling inspired after last nights late night escapades collecting my 900 milestone at all hours of the night. Usually I keep late night caching to kid free moments but last night was a rarity... he has now advised me that he is ‘helping me work towards my next milestone of 1000’ and giving suggestion of what it could be! What could it be!
After a quick find at gz, the kids and I wandered along the little creek and climbed over the near by rocks. Barely a muggle in sight, just the last of the warm sunshine starting its descent to the horizon. At a previous cache nearby, we spotted platypus signs and so miss ten (geobug) asked lots of questions. But it was while we stood by the creek here, master nine started to pull out the rubbish to look after the platypus. Sometimes we have proud Mumma moments. Thanks GJMMelb for a great series and what you bring to the caching community. All is well here.

I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.
I've had this solved for a while, and today I went hunting with Crusty K9. We soon had the log signed (it has seen better days, but still usable) and Sook had a play in the lake.
All good. Thanks GJMMelb.
All good. Thanks GJMMelb.
This one had been on my solved list for too long. Today I was in the area and so I decided to have a go at locating this cache. Upon arriving near GZ there was a gentleman sitting on the rocks reading a book overlooking the creek. So I decided to try again a bit later. Upon my return some 30 plus minutes later he was still there. I then decided this was an opportune time to make a phone call which thankfully resulted in the gentleman moving along (I didn't think I was that loud!). Then the hunt started. It took quite a while but I got there in the end. Silly me, I forgot to note down the clue. I'll have to get it some other time when I'm in the area next. TFTC and the fun puzzle GJMMelb.
We knew it was going to be really hot today. This is the furthest of the hooked on books series from our house so we decided to come out early to collect the cache and the clue. We will make a little bit of a morning of it with some caches around Ringwood Lake and the nearby parks. We have enjoyed solving the puzzles in the series. During the second lockdown we were able to borrow library books again and therefore able to complete some of these puzzles. This one was pretty straightforward once we had the book. Thanks for placing and maintaining this series GJMelb.
YAPIDKA again on a tour of the burbs! Not too many people out and about. Do love the world of books so eagerly began this little series....hmmmm....a few twists and turns and a few hints and searching were needed! Some teasing grey matter more than others. 1844 - an era of books and genre I did not embrace but can see the attraction if you like swashbuckling heroic chivalrous swordsmen who fight for justice!! Puzzle solved with online version. Now I know more about the book. Located GZ and the hidden treasure easily enough. TFTC and the FUN!
This puzzle had me going around in circles for quite a while over many tries sourcing the right text until i saw the link. DOH. Not like me at all. Ha.
We are slowly ticking them off in this series but think i will resort to bush bashing hoping to trip over the cache for one of them.
Found in good condition here today with Geokid.
Aren't holidays grand?

I have never owned this book, but have certainly enjoyed watching the movie a number of times. As such, I relied on the online resource to solve the puzzle. That was ages ago, I just hadn't been in the area with time since.
However while my Son had an appointment nearby, my wife and I went for a stroll around this lovely area. Took a few minutes but with no-one else around, we soon found it well hidden. Wife walked thru a web to see the cache and I walked thru one getting back to the main trail.
Thanks for the cache GJM Melb

I was grateful for the link to the online version of the book, because library books wear out and are often replaced with a different edition. I'd seen this type of code before, but finished up with two strange results. Therefore I so used logic to substitute likely numbers and got a tick from the geochecker. Tftc.
Cache visited and checked on 19/10 as part of our exercise that day. All ready to go for 11.59pm tonight!!

Sadly, here we go again. Stay safe and healthy everyone. Hopefully see you in 6 weeks
May we suggest that you please use hand sanitiser before and after finding this cache - thanks This cache is being re-enabled with the hope that Community spread of Covid19 remains extremely low. We will visit each cache in the coming weeks to make sure it is still there and in good condition.
Made the search much longer than it should have been by looking in all the wrong places. But found it in the end and for the clue. Tftc
I've had the coordinates for quite a while thanks to the book in the Blackburn library, and I've visited the GZ once before but couldn't find the cache.
Today I decided to test the GPS in my new phone, but that took me to the same location I'd search before.
Then I noticed something a bit strange, and now I'm wondering how I missed it last time.
Thanks for the puzzel and the cache GJMMelb.

A great puzzle, with a small hiccup due to different editions of the book.
Avoiding muggles and a little persistence soon found the well hidden cache tucked in safe and sound. Thanks GJMMelb.

F(H)ound it! #3070 @2:45 PM
I am down from Queanbeyan NSW, visiting the out-laws for a week or so.
The Sister Outlaw works at a library and brought home the required Volume. I have recently completed this but as an audio book while walking the dog.
We tied the Ridgeopup to a nearby structure while we searched...and searched...and searched. We even got the RP to use her tracking skills but all she found was a bone. Stopped and reread the hint and read some previous logs. Both of these lead us astray somewhat. I had given up, deciding it was lost under the recent mulching, when I heard the SOL cry "Found It". She had found it in a familiar cachey hiding spot all snug and safe and sound.
We then took the RP for a walk around the area and perhaps to find another cache,

Finally got a chance to pick this one up after solving it a while ago. We must have looked very suspicious standing in the middle of the trees pretending to look at trees and birds while workmen in truck after truck came and went.
One step closer to finishing the series.
Thanks GJMMelb

On a maintenance run today and decided to check on this one as it hadn't been found since Jun this year. Replaced damp log
Solved this one quite a while ago as I was solving the other Hooked on Books caches. This was quite difficult for me to find with the GPS not settling and trying to find this in the dark. It seemed like there could be many locations and I couldn't find anything even with the hint. I expanded my search and probably spent upwards of 20mins before I stumbled onto the GZ. TFTC.
Loved the premise of this cache, and it took me back to the library of my childhood. Thank you
Found at 11:55 AM GAFF3.
We had the pleasure of taking our grandson - Hayden out for the day and so we took him to the Ringwood Lake and low and behold there was a cache there for us to find! Unfortunately it was not the type that Hayden can easily find and as a matter of fact it was not one that was easy for us to find either! Caches that are not placed against significant objects are always tricky to find and this one had us going around in circles for a few minutes.
Thanks GJMMelb.

Today's weather was lovely warm. Headed out for a hunt "Guess Who" series with crank1 & Everlasting. Fortunately, we are able to find this while on way to other cache. Thanks GJMMelb for bringing us here.
Accompanied with pwala and crank1 At Bayswater/Croydon area, enjyed wander this area - the weather too cold for me lol. It was good fun day. [^][^][^]
Thanks GJMMelb for organising the cache and hunt.

This is the one!! this one! right here!
I'll start from the beginning...
When I was a girl, like all little girls do, I dreamed of being a secret spy. I had spy books, with codes in, I made a "Letter drop" hole in the bathroom door (My dad refurbished the bathroom about five years ago and found a pile of little secret notes in the hole in the door). I wrote whole books in a secret code I had invented (simple letter substitution cipher). I wished and wished I would be allowed to go out wearing a raincoat and carrying a briefcase, to swap with other spies on park benches. I wished I could study ciphers in place of a second language (in my eyes it seemed much more useful). I longed to find encoded documents and solve them, and this very code, was one I had cued up for such an occasion. I cant tell you how happy I was to sit with my paper and pencil and note down the solution to the puzzle.
Life long dream come true. And so it has come to pass, that you get the promised FP.

I'd been meaning to track down a copy of the correct edition of this book for maybe a year. Most of the more convenient libraries have a different translation on their shelves at present, so this one got plonked back on the 'do it later' pile, over and over. But last week a geofriend passed on the details of the official alternate puzzle, so the deed was finally done. Nice. I don't think I love a book cipher quite as much as VR evidently does, but they *are* very cool indeed. At GZ my companion spied the cache exactly where I'd just glanced, which was a bit odd. But still reason to rejoice. Thanks again GJMMelb!
Browsed the HOB caches still to be solved and checked out the library catalogue on the off-chance that this book was available - it was! A single copy at the Nunawading branch (the cache page may need a repair to the catalogue link). Straight in the car for the pick up and a chuckle at the discrete pencil dots left by a previous cacher.
A gorgeous morning at the start of the Queen's Birthday weekend took us to a lovely part of the lake park I'd not been to before. A little hunting around and of course it was right where the coordinates first said it would be! Always nice to find a great camo hide. Thanks GJMMelb - just 3 more to go.

almost defeated but a spot of digging around revealed the clever hide eventually. A beautiful spot to sit and ponder, despite the rubbish left behind from some drunken locals! We cleaned up the mess so it's ready for the next finder Another Sat morning ramble with Mister Doctor, Son_of_a_doctor and geodog.
Thanks to GJMMelb for details of an alternative version of the book and a different version of the code. With the coordinates calculated we arrived near GZ with the sun attempting to break through grey clouds. Reasonably quick find once the GPS had settled down. The container was a little damp and muddy but the log was OK and we could sign without a problem. Thanks for the puzzle and bringing us to an area of Ringwood Lake Park that was new to us.
Finally "dug" this one up after a few attempts and a chat to the friendly CO. Grabbed the hint now I'll attempt the others in the series:)
Thanks so much for the help, placement and the series.

Solving this puzzle for me has been an epic failure. After numerous visits to multiple libraries, I was still unsuccessful in obtaining a copy of the right book. Much googling yielded zilch, Zippo, nada, nothing. So I resorted to reading all the logs in hopes of a hint, scouring the area for possibilities. A further hint from a previous finder and I had am idea. Using the hint and a grid search I got very lucky and had the cache in the second place I looked. Another cache in my 10k zone now found.

A quest.
Teamwork.
A gauntlet thrown.
A cunning plan.
A damsel.
Betrayal.
A hunt.
Treasure.
They could have been themes from The Three Musketeers... but it actually sums up my path to this smiley!!!
Hehehe.
Thanks for another great adventure, GJMMELB. Your caches are always a rollicking ride!

Found this one early this morning, at the start of a concentrated effort to collect all in the Hooked on Books Series, as well as a few other caches nearby.
Like a few others whenever I wanted to look at the book it was checked out and so resorted to google, however couldn't finesse the numbers required. I then shelved this for a few months and last week decided that I was going to finally crack it. I returned to google, and followed a few dead ends, before finally a path was found that I hopefully would lead me to the right spot.
It was successful and inputting the co-ords found a suitable location to check out. Easily found, and clue collected, on I went to the next cache on my list.
TFTC!

Solved this one a while a month or so ago and finally found time to locate the container. Great camouflage and awesome cache series. Have only finished solved all the caches in the series a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to making all the finds. Thanks GJMMelb
Out getting some of the hard ones around the area and a couple of new ones. TFTC.
It has taken a long time to get here. The book in question has been very popular such that it has been 'On Loan' virtually permanently for months. Yesterday I finally managed to track it down and retrieve the required information.
Today the geoson and I jumped in the car and made the trip out to the GZ for a quick find. TFTC.

Working our way through this set of mystery caches. We took a while to decipher the code but it came together well in the end. A quick park and find today after soccer, and we groaned at the "dad-gag" in the hint. Thanks for this set of book&visiting challenges. One more and then the final!!!
I used the online version to find the co-ords for this one; the ads on the text were very annoying but got there in the end. This was the final cache I needed to locate number 7 in the series so another excursion tomorrow. A quick find thanks to good co-ords and the hint. THTC
Initially I had some troubles sourcing the required edition to attempt this one as my local library didn't have one and a little while ago I was out caching in Vermont and called into their library only to be told their copy was on the Box Hill shelves. So I headed down and grabbed the copy and a quiet table and had a crack at solving this one. Today while out caching with Omegaman we set out grabbing a few trads and puzzles that we have both needed and been working on and this was our first one find for the morning. We had some troubles finding a park as the area was quite busy due to the Australia Day festivities going on but otherwise the gz was quiet and we managed a quick find after a short search. Thanks GJMMelb for the puzzle and the hide, this was one of several caches we found from you today.
Happy Australia day!!!!
Out and about with geo buddy Happy Pants on this great public holiday. Such a great day to be out Caching. Easy find except for the huge amount of muggle traffic attention a local event.
Love the nearby historical display.
Cheers for a cool puzzle cache.

Well, this log comes with three chapters.
Chapter 1. In which I take up geocaching.
When I started geocaching a few years ago, I tried to solve this puzzle, since it was quite near home. However, I had trouble sourcing the necessary book. I found that a library on the other side of town had the correct edition, and asked for an inter-library loan. But when the book arrived at Ringwood Library, it was the wrong edition. So I gave up.
Chapter 2. In which I try again.
At some stage last year, I sat down to solve a whole lot of puzzles for nearby caches. I found that one does not need the actual book if one knows where to look online However, this method still left me with two unknowns, though these were the last two digits, and the options were very close to each other.
Chapter 3. In which I actually find the cache.
I sat down last night to solve a whole lot of puzzles for nearby caches, only to find that most of them already had Personal Cache Notes! *rolls eyes* I had completely forgotten that I had solved them! So I went out this morning with my phone and my few possibilities, and looked all around. When none of those places landed me exactly on a cache, I checked the hint and widened my search. Just as I was about to give up (because I still had to have breakfast and get ready for work!), I saw something that looked out-of-place, yet somehow strangely familiar. So I retrieved the cache, signed the log, returned the cache, and headed home
Thank you, GJMMelb, for a great little puzzle! I'll gradually work my way through the others...

It has been a long time since either of us had read the book but after some quick reading, we had a set of coordinates which looked feasible. Today we went to look for the cache and after seeing a familiar looking object, we were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle and cache GJMMelb.
Suscoe was wandering the streets of this area of Melbourne today.
A little cloud, a little sun and a lot of fun.
This was our 26th find of the day.
Well this was a bit of fun.
The CO assisted with the online version and we are out of towners.
So Mrs. S got to work and sorted this quite quickly.
A favourite from us, thanks goes to GJMMelb for creating this cache.
Arrived at GZ and the cache was where it was supposed to be.

I have a confession to make: I DID NOT VISIT THE LIBRARY! There, I said it. I deserve an F for effort on this one. Vanessa passed on the final coords for this one on a morning caching run with her and Hera. I was searching for a green sistema container as per the cache description as I missed the memo that it had changed. Needless to say I did not find the hide myself but signed my name after Hera called FOUND IT.
Nice spot. Thanks for bringing me to this park that I've never visited before.

What a great series. This is my first find in this series, and I found the coords after a visit to Vermont library where I giggled to see that someone had helpfully underlined the clues in the book. Thanks whoever you are: you made my life much easier! At GZ today with Hera and The Rusty's, we were looking, looking before Hera used the hint and found the cache in a place I'd peered over into about 20cms away. Great idea for a series, now I must read this classic. Thanks GJMMelb.
It seems I had the caching eyes for spotting this kind of hide today - I was 3 for 3! Out for a glorious morning caching with 2 great friends. This is the first of the series I've actually found - I've solved a few but have to get myself organised now that I've started collecting the clues.
I set out to complete the Hooked on Books series on this day, I've already been to this GZ once before and managed to overlook the sneaky hide. On my return the clue had been updated, so it was easy peasy and I was kicking myself for missing it last time. Onwards to the Final Chapter!

A trip to a local library a few weeks ago gave me all the answers to this one. Today was the day to go out and grab these caches. Another tick off the list for this series. Cheers.

Forgot to add.. This log book is completely soggy. Tried to dry it out but the sun was not cooperating. Managed to sign our names ok.
On OzHockeyChick and my monday arvo adventure to complete some solved cache puzzles we finally grabbed this one and truely we Rocked this find ... lol..... TFTC
Been a long time since I was hooked on a book. I remember an unpleasant evening searching for a multi cache near GZ with the cache owner (GMelb). However, all was fine today. I dropped in at Nunawading Library, a place of childhood memories, and located the necessary volume in the tray of books awaiting shelving. A quick bit of research gave me the coordinates for the musty unloved geocache. Thanks for a fun puzzle.
The garden have been clean up with some dust saw as I couldn't see any cache there so DNF for me. Thanks GJMMelb.
I solved this HOB puzzle quite a while ago. I belong to the Whitehorse Manningham library so I had no trouble obtaining a correct copy of the book. Using the given format I worked out some co-ords, which got a tick from the geochecker. [^]
I have lots of solved puzzles that I haven't got off my butt to find yet. Now that I have retired from work I am trying to go and look for these caches. This was one of them. It had been raining earlier in the day but it was now fine and dry. I looked around and near GZ for quite a while without success. It was starting to get dark so I took a squiz at the hint. This narrowed down the search area so I soon found the cache right where my GPSr was saying it was and signed the log at 4:50 pm. The log was slightly damp but OK to sign. TNLN.
Thanks GJMMelb for the fun puzzle and the nicely camo'd cache in a very serene location. Now I have only a couple more caches to find to complete the HOB series - I've completed the puzzles, of course! [8)]

With the puzzle sorted, it was time to head out and try my luck. I was very impressed, this is a really lovely park that I hadn't been to before.
The skies were grey by now and it seemed like the rain would soon be coming. A little looking around and I was able to pinpoint where I needed to be and locate the hide. Thanks to GJMMelb for the cache.

Found in daylight, still took a thorough search though, I was so close to it on the first search, and now I have the final number confirmed as correct, after I had a calculated guess to get the final hob serries , TFTC
