Nice spot. Just filling in time thought if find a cache. Found tree, found rock, didn't find cache. Checked recent logs and thought I needn't have bothered. Thanks anyway.
I was there but the cache was't at his place.
Looks like the cache is muggeld.
However, thanks for showing that spot

Great trip out to River Heads and a nice short stroll to GZ. Congrats geodad on your 50th find! Took racing car, left Thai elephant. TFTC!
This was my big five-o. A pleasant trip out to River Heads with geofille and her geopup. Not TOO strenuous a scramble beside the sea for an easy find. Took a zebra, left a smile top.
Major mosquito infestation in The Bay Area at the moment and this cache was not immune. Insect repellent will be a permanent addition to our geobag. TFTC, we found it than ran for our lives.
We picked the hottest part of the day and then the muddiest way to GZ. Miss 5 enjoyed retrieving the cache and some swaps were made. Thanks!
We went the wet sludgy way and came back a drier driftwoody way. Nice quick find. Our first during our visit to the fraser coast with misssusan. Lovely spot. Tftc.
I had flown in from Melbourne this morning and was filling in time caching. I came down to River Head, attracted by the nearby Earthcache. Wanting to make that cache "Find #750", I came looking for this cache first to bring up find number 749.
Having discovered that the iPhone geocaching app is full of roads that never were, I set off from the car park along the foreshore. It was relatively easy going as the tide was well out. Before long I was at GZ with the cache in hand. After signing the log I decided it was time to get back to my (hire) car and change out of my unsuitable "Melbourne clothes" and into something befitting the Fraser Coast.
Thanks Klaymen for putting this cache here.

We had a day in Hervey Bay and it was great to get this cache. Thanks to klaymen.
Found this one when we went out to River Heads to do the Earth Cache. This one was an added bonus.
Well, what a tonne of fun my muggle family and I had getting to this cache. We adventured through the small patch of scrub to enter onto the rocky foreshore. Watch out for the glass! We balanced along the logs and scurried across the rocks. Middle munchkin was in charge of navigation and leading us to GZ. She did a great job and we were all soon searching for the cache. I spotted it quickly and left it to be found by the young ones. We all left our signatures and then I made sure it was covered back up properly.
TFTC and for bringing me here klaymen

Easy find and only a short walk along the foreshore. TNLN, signed the log only.TFTC
Nice sunny day and a good day for a drive to the Heads. The views to Fraser Island from out here are fantastic. Decided to grab the cache while I was in the area. The cache was a quick easy find and only a short walk along the foreshore. TFTC
Thanks Claymen. Nice walk along the shore only a couple of meters from the high tide.
I have a property only a few hundred meters away on Ariadne Street and I've never been down this side of the peninsula before.
Good to see a decent sized cache in an interesting place.

Found after having a go at our first earthcache nearby. Lovely stroll along the waters edge. Nice hiding place. Good to see a nice sized cache with swaps. TFTC.
A much shorter walk than we expected. TN but left a Beetles fridge magnet peg. Watched a boat load and leave and another one arrive while there. Thanks, an interesting spot.
Brought my sister and brother inlaw along for their first caching trip was a bit hard walking along the beach with bear feet but found it OK my have some new geocaches starting up
Found this cache after getting of the barge from Fraser Island and heading back to Hervey Bay for the night and then moving a little further north. No wet feet for me!!!!
Nice hide high and dry.

Great... Finding the bigger ones with interesting stuff in them is great when the kids are with me. Thanks.
We are in Maryborough for the Ulysses AGM and grabbing a few caches while here. Very pleased we approached this one from the correct direction first up. T 1 x Coin SL TFTC
Great location for this one. Could see a few muggles floating about but they couldn't see us. Gps had a tantrum about 50m from it but the clues helped out nicely. Grabbed the camel and left a dolphin and a heart.
Had to move out quickly due to the black cloud that decended upon us with the geoson calling "They're after us Dad, they're after us!"

Nice easy find, although geokid managed to get her feet very muddy and then could only walk at 10 percent of normal speed, saw a few small crabs on our return to the car park. TNLNSL. TFTC. ( camel still there looking after cache)
Found this today with kids & grandkids in tow. Grandkids loved their first geocache. Left a brass camel from Saudi Arabia. Took a wood geocoin that appears to not be a trackable. Will move the wooden coin soon. TFTC
We found this wonderful cache during our trip within Australia. Searching was a little bit difficult due to terrain. Fraser Island and Hervey Bay are so amazing places we would like to stay here forever. Greetings from the Czech Republic. TFTC!

This was our 2nd cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 12:38.
(So this is our 4902nd total find.)
Grabbed the clues on a very blustery and overcast day. We spent some time on the island a few years ago, so are not planning to cross today.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks klaymen for the hunt today.

1115hrs. Had never been out here before and we were keen to clean up some caches. A good drive and some interesting homes. A nice walk to the cache on a blowy day. TFTCSL
After parking illegally (no trailer) Mrs George and I ambled along the seashore to this one. We both agreed we were glad we hadn't tried to come accross country from the main road. Don't think we've seen vegetation so thick before.
TNLN. TFTC. Enjoyed a brief stop at the coffee shop on the way back to HVB.

13/08/2012 16:46 After a nicedrive from HB past cane fields we arrived at the general store for an icecream then on down to the island ferry pier. After collecting the required data for the Earth cache we made our way to the trailer parking even though we had no trailer, but it was late and there were plenty of empty spots. Geo wife Sue hadn't any appropriate footwear so I braved the crocodiles and made my way to GZ. An easy find with the hint. I took some pictures of the area. I assume I was surrounded by mangroves. Left one of my pathtags. TFTC klaymen TN SL

I had trouble with the GPS in Hervey Bay earlier today, very overcast and it kept loosing satellite coverage and sending me in circles, this is the third time it's done that to me.
Obviously my GPS doesn't like Hervey Bay.
No trouble at River Heads, an easy find.
All is well with the cache.

Squadgy walk out, easier walk back. Checked GPS co-ords at the sign, they were spot on.
Cool location, dropped snail TB, picked up duck TB

We have to admit…we planned this trip several months ago. As we weren’t interested in an ‘island of sand’ we decided to hike with our GPS to lake mckenzie to do the earth cache and staying overnight in our therefore bought and never used before pop-up-tent and backpacks…
So this is how it went: we managed getting up at 5 am and taking the first ferry to fraser without any other tourist (just the employees of the island) at 6.45 am…having reached fraser we started our huuuuge hiking experience…and ended up after 200m turning aroung and heading to the 4wd hire office
Now we love sands
We had an amazing adventure…hunting for the caches is much more easier using your ‘own’ 4WD
Doing 100 kmh along the beach was just an incredible experience…driving cross country was heaps of fun.
We found this cache after coming back from Fraser in the sunset. thanks for showing.

Wasn't sure if I should attempt a terrain 3 as I'm still recovering from my spectacular mountain bike accident, but I'm glad I did as the landscape was quite unique. Thanks klaymen. PS I think you contacted me while I was in hospital about one of my caches.
2nd cache for the day caching with The x-Trailers.

This was my first visit to River Heads and loved the area. I was surprised to see rainforest-type vegtation near GZ.

Found as a part of Team SaintsMadHouse and now that the kids have grown we each have our own accounts to finddd geocaches with separately wherever we go!Oh how we wish we had used the waters edge to enter for this one! we saw a trail where we parked the car and that coupled with the tree cover had us searching for over an hour. to find the cache in a much easier spot (12m away from GZ). Approaching from the walkway by the road ment that our GZ was full of Big Trees with hundreds of rocks. Got it in the end. Left the Pirate TB as he was very tired from all the fishing he had done on Fraser Island.

Great cache to fill in a few minutes while waiting for the fraser island ferry.Quick find but the driftwood did slow me down.
Our 5162nd overall find.
We took a light detour on our trip from Bundy to Maroochydore today to grab the nearby earth cache. We finished it off and took a short stroll out to grab this one. There was heaps of drift wood around which made the area look really pretty. A quick find.
Thanks to klaymen for the cache.

I snaffled this one after grabbing the info for the nearby Earthcache.
I had fun scrambling over all that lovvely driftwood, sigh - there were so many potentially evil cache camo's there, and no time to stop and look
Cache was in a well thought out and safe location, and after logging the find, I enjoyed the views.
No need for bug repellant at all, but I imagine that on some days bugs big enough to carry you away would be in residence.

Ahh.. an enjoyable cache with realistic difficulty/terrain ratings. Love it! I scrambled over a heap of washed up debris before arriving at GZ. I found the cache after a small hunt. It was in good condition. A great little area indeed. TFTC klaymen
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Now I would not have seen this part of the world had it not been for geocaching. All that driftwood, flotsam and jetsam....so much of it. Anyway, we found the cache, signed the log and just after returning it out of the very dense bush came a large dog (wolfhound size) - very friendly. Then there was another, and another, then voices of "come back here you lot", then a 4th one emerged. Imagine the food bill for that lot. He'd need a second job just for the dogs' food bill.
TFTC and the opportunity to see this part of the shoreline.

We forgot the insect repellent, but luckily didn't need it. I guess the wind kept us safe. It's certainly a trek to GZ over the driftwood. TN/LN/SL TFTC.
Once we had navigated over the washed up drift wood. We soon had the cache in hand and log signed just as the natives started a biting

Nice cache in a good spot. Lots of rain over the last 24 hours meant the approach was slipery. Car parking is getting tight now that the Island ferry doesn't use the Bay mariner anymore. Took everyone's advice and layered up the mozzie repellent, thank goodness. TFTC
This is a very good cache to find at low tide. Dad was very pleasd that he beat the kids to this one. Lovely area, but we are fairly sure its mozzie central. (even half a can of insect repelent wasn't enough) Took the incense and left sml water pistol and marble. TFTC

Our third FTF. An easy stroll with a bit of light rain around to get to this one, but once we stopped the mozzies were on us in plague proportions.
