Spending a couple of days at the local van park so had a brisk walk to this cache hide. Found without too much trouble. Parrots are here in large numbers. TFTH

Off on another camping expedition in our Camper staying at the Tarnagulla Recreation Reserve and picking up some caches as we check out the local area. Today we headed to Boort and the area was packed, the camping ground was overflowing and there was a tennis tournament on at the local tennis courts.... oh and there was a lot of boating activity on the water as well. After stopping to eat our picnic lunch at a nearby picnic spot we then headed to this cache. The GPS was spot on and took us straight to GZ, where another quick easy find was made and we picked up the TB as well and will help Orange Micky achieve his goal to travel the world.. TFTC

Pretty easy to find, well hidden in a great spot.

There was a guy who was driving up and down the road on repeat for some reason. Not sure how much he was paying attention but he sure made it a little awkward here (as he'd probably seen me at one of the previous caches as well...) Thanks for the cache.

We've never been to Boort before, the lake is amazing! Will have to come back another time with our swimmers. TFTC

Easy find

Camping in Boort with friends for the long weekend so we headed out to grab a quick cache or two around the lake. We couldn't get them all due to long grass but we will be back! Many thanks - nice easy finds and the kids had fun.

Found myself up in Boort today with the geomum, so while she was at the dentist, I went a-searching. I have started this series backwards, with not a great deal of time, so I'll see how it goes! One down, 4 to go. TFTC

Found while in Boort for some of today. Quick find as I made my way around the lake. Thanks for the hide.

Spending the afternoon caching around Boort on our way to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter using the back roads. This was #2 for the afternoon. A quick find and once signing duties were completed the cache was returned to its hidey hole. TFTC TNLN SL

Found with Duntulum. His hand was too big to pry it from its hiding spot, so I had a go - Bingo! A pleasant - if hot - walk around the nice lake.

While staying at the very nice Quambatook Caravan Park we decided to have a day caching around Quamby and Boort.

We were joined last night by a great group of bikers from the Military Brotherhood who invited us to join them for a BBQ catered by the local Lions Club and then drinks and entertainment at the Quamby Pub.
We all had a great night

Found today in this lovely area which was being enjoyed by many holiday makers.

I was back in Boort today,
and this time had plenty of time,
to take a stroll around the lake

I set off from the boat ramp with a couple of cans of fizzy cola for sustenance
Hey !! It was already hitting the mid thirties temperature wise
Which made me wonder how wise I was to take the stroll [:o)]

Not to worry !!
I met many other strollers along the way
But boy oh boy it was hot out in the sun

Here at BL#5,
a cache was quickly found

Boort, boort, boort, boort ...

A late afternoon find in the rain with the geo-son during a circumnavigation of the lake on foot. It would have been quicker on the bikes but we did see a lot of wildlife. Many thanks the old blokes

On a road trip from the ACT thru northern Victoria, to South Australia then back through Victoria (great Ocean road) and caching along the way. Whatever cache we happened to pass and I was in the mood we stopped to find and log. Some easier some harder:-) TFTC

After setting up camp in Wedderburn, it was time for a bit of fossicking - not for gold - geocaches of course!
Well this one should definitely be termite proof and if the rain continues the birds will be back! Image added.

Staying at Boort Caravan Park for a couple of nights, I walked around the lake with my friend and cleaned up the caches along the way TFTC

Didn't want to dive it for this one without having a poke around with a stick first. All good in the end and dropped a TB off. TFTC

Found with Bogonghazy today enroute from Wedderburn to Swan Hill. A lovely scenic series, thanks for the caches and the views all around.

With a van in tow, and a heap of caches on the list before getting to Swan Hill tonight, Sully and I decided to grab these by car instead of getting the exercise needed for us both.
This was a quick find in an obvious place, and once again found a couple of items not necessarily used as swaps, including a sauce sachet and another chewy bar.
Removed the offenders and on our way. Thanks again The Old Blokes

My wife and I went on a tour to locate some historic horse troughs and geocaches. We found this on our second day. I walked in a circle around this one before heading into the bush and grabbing the cache. I then decided to walk straight to the road, but had only moved a couple of metres before stepping within a foot of a brown snake. I think he got as much of a fright as I did, and we went our separate ways, me with a faster heart beat. tftc.

We enjoyed a fantastic if rather HOT long weekend attending the "Cohuna Matata" Geocaching event.
With the weather in the high 30's we cached in the morning and relaxed in the pool/river in the arvo.
What a great way to explore and enjoy the area.
