We found the dates yesterday and came looking for the cache today. Found after a bit of circling through the scrub but coords seemed good enough. A different lime tree to ours at home. Thanks kiwicalls.
Did this one whilst passing through Westport on the way back to Nelson, the cache was nice and easy to find. Tftc
Managed to work out the location for the final and while in the area made a really quick find , glad to get this one ticked off...tftc..
We had gathered most of the information required for this multi over a few visits but had not got around to finishing and finding it. This was discussed at a recent event which prompted me to make sure I got around to finding it the next time I was in Westport.
With a series of new caches up for grabs my trip to Westport came sooner than I had expected, and as I had a couple of hours to fill in before heading for home, today was the day to come and add this to the found list.
Thanks for placing this multi and thank you for the smiley

I'm in Westport for the long weekend. I haven't been here for a few years now so a geocaching visit is long overdue. Strangely enough I had a similar experience to karma reprint. I had planned to do this multi over this weekend as I came prepared with the right tools to convert what needed to be converted. Anyway, as I was looking for the Adventure Lab bonus cache, I spotted this container - signed the log and replaced as found. TFTC, Biggles.
Freshly arrived from a job in Reefton, I had some free time in between rain, so came to this after solving it on my last visit, but being unable to grab.
All fine here, damn that tree must have made some noise when it came down. All fine inside the cache, a fun multi, thanks!
TFTC kiwicalls, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #2836

Well, here is a story. We did the AdLab intown and was struggling to find the final. I went into the bush about 10m and though I had the AdLab bonus, but no, it was the DateLime cache. The dates of finds and cacers matched up so SWEET, another smiley.
Ms_KR and I are on the west coast, hopefully to complete the PWGT GeoTour this weekend, with only 2 to go. Another glorious day today, fine weather for most of the caching time. Up to Denniston was definately a highlight, with good views and no wind.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I have been slowly chipping away at each stage of this multi each time I visit Westport over the years. Last time I spent ages at the final but couldnt find anything. I confirmed with a previous finder that my coordinates were correct. Back in Westport today and really wanted to find it as this is my last unfound one here. We spent quite a while looking in the same place that I'd looked last time then my GPS started pointing in a slightly different direction. The coordinates are now slightly off due to the object not being vertical anymore. Thanks for a fun multi kiwicalls

I had planned for today to locate and sign off a few caches around the Westport metropolis.
I looked and looked and finally found it on a horizontal one.
Cheers for the cache.

Very very cool multi! My phone refused cooperation because of the moisture it accumulated in my pocket, so i changed the GPS settings and off I was. All waypoints and calculations made sense and the final location was cool. Most fun, TFTC!!
TFTC. A team effort with Boyd. The geocaching website was more help than the phone app with the different format. We had fun searching for dates in the dark but waited until daylight to visit the final.
with Baird, for the last of her wonder souvenirs, and a memorable one, chasing positions, sometimes in the dark, was grateful for easy end find! Computer easier for format than phone.
Well this was a workout. (At the end) Seen this style before but using a phone rather than Garmin could be tricky.
We solved the first two problems then couldn't locate the third until we looked again on a drive by. Off for lunch we reworked the numbers until a good looking location was found. Then we got to GZ. Not wanting to damage the trees or foliage we ventured in, and out, and in and out.
Back to the van a quick message for help was sent to the CO. But we did not give up and went back in again without word from the owner this time checking the roots of the problem, still nothing!
After burrying my face in cobwebs on a horizontal old specimen I spotted something.
Yes, oh yes that's a rewarding plastic box.

We started this one today, but couldn't figure out how to make the numbers we got fit into coordinates for the second stage. Didn't have enough time to ponder over it for long, so decided to shelve it.
I'd had a bit of a look for this one previously, a bit of a half-hearted look because the area my GPS took me to looked too overgrown to try and crash through. Today I returned with a previous finder and lo and behold I was soon signing the log. - - - The area seemed to have opened up a bit, and the cache was soon tracked down. Thanks for the challenge .
Wow that was alot of effort...round and round the town we went I am getting to know Westport well...at our final destination,I found the hint bemusing...maybe lying as apposed to lime would have saved alot of time...cache all nicely bagged and dry ..thanks kiwicalls for the multi
This was a great challenge. We started yesterday but was put on the back burner as there was lots of caching to do and we were biking. Today we drove to tge waypoints and final. The hint took a bit of interpretation but I was positive I was in the correct location. I rethought the clue and headed in. Got wet and dirty and had to stretch to retrieve. Thanks for the multi kiwicalls
Cache dried out, bagged and replaced. Couldn't save the original logbook, but will attach some photos of the logs. Hint: about a metre up the tree.
After running out of time and daylight (and running into far too much dust) to find the final last year, this cache was on our list of Unfinished Business in Westport. Fine dry day, no dust, so into the bushes we went, clockwise? anticlockwise? get in amongst the regrowth, where is it? Worked around behind the roots and looked from the other side and there it was, tucked in so firmly it was practically invisible. Ah, what satisfaction! And we now go past those buildings and plaques with a sense of pride.
Found!!! But full of water. Have removed cache to dry it out. Will return it to place tomorrow.
Went out after tea to grab what we thought was a lonely cache only to find we had been beaten by 2 days. Never mind. We had worked out details for final co-ords and made our way towards GZ. As we entered the area, there was a council sign advising penalties for damage to plants etc. No signs of any geotrails to follow so we had to work out our own way to GZ and with GPS jumping all over the place this was proving difficult. Luckily there were no other people around at this time of night and after half and hour or so, reading and rereading past logs, cache was finally spotted. Good to get this one done. tftc
#15033. Well, this one proved to be quite a challenge. Last time we were in Westport this area was closed due to storm damage. Today the area was open, and getting to within 10m of GZ was easy, but that's where the trouble started. It was not at all clear how to get to GZ (with no finds in the last 2.5 years, there was no hope of a geotrail). We found a bit of an opening a bit further away, and followed a circuitous path that eventually got us close to GZ. We came to an obstacle. I went clockwise, and Troodles went anti-clockwise, and I managed to get around the other side and spot the cache sitting on the NEAR HORIZONTAL (not vertical; Troodles got mixed up) hint object. Isis must have done a good job of putting it there 2.5 years ago. I then took a more direct back to the path. We then set off back to the car, coughing and spluttering, having inhaled a lot of dust (and / or pollen, and / or ...). TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on our week long post Christmas trip to Reefton and the West Coast. Day 3: Reefton to Karamea.
We had gathered the info for this cache 3 1/2 years ago, but GZ was a no go zone at the time so we saved the co-ords for another visit. Finally we have returned to Westport, and so this cache was at the top of the hit list. We were a little perturbed when we saw where the needle was pointing and even more when we got to GZ as there was a nearly vertical tree there. After a bit of fossicking, SW uttered the magic words "found it". Yay, good to finally turn into a smile. And a very lonely cache too. Thanks for an interesting multi and TFTC.

We were out exploring Westport in the cool of the evening. We worked our way through the clues - found the third WP coords 40 m out, but luckily we had read the plaque earlier in the day so knew where it was. That led us to a familiar spot which we had passed earlier in the day - and there was the second half of the title, 10 m off the path, but now horizontal (thanks to the storm) and sprouting. Climbed in and stood on branches to look around, but without luck. We knew it must be there, but unfortunately dusty places don't agree with hard contact lenses... and the twilight was rapidly fading and we didn't have a torch. Glad to see it's been found since - if we pass through again, we have the coords!
I've briefly looked at this one on several previous visits to Westport and but just been satisfied with the several others on offer. Last time I was here I took a photo of the first date so I could try and fathom it out at home. So when I was due to come back down this week I had a look at that photo to try and work it all out. I tried several websites and apps but none of them seemed to give me what I wanted unless I was prepared to give them some money. ( I also hadn't looked further enough down the logs to see the previous link - which I still haven't checked out). Last night I gave it another go and found a really useful website which allowed me to complete the other two calculations after finding the dates. This morning I went to GZ on my way to work but found that the work clothes weren't going to cut it. So after the job was completed changed my gear and went back to a now horizontal GZ to try to locate the hint - once that was done quickly found the cache on the ground where it had fallen. It felt really good to find this after such obvious devastation and the various dramas in the conversions. I have replaced it above the ground and the hint but still in the same place and matching the hint. I actually really enjoyed the various challenges of finally finding this cache and learned a bit on the way. TFTC #6626
We found the first 2 WPs yesterday then the final one this afternoon, but unable to access GZ as it has been badly damaged in the storm and no access is allowed in the meantime.
May be best to disable until access is allowed.

After staying the night in Westport we spent the morning picking up a few caches around town before heading out to Cape Foulwind. We headed into town again for the start of this multi and located the information, we had a useful app on our phone that made the conversions and then we were off again. Nice multi and the final was near a cache we wanted to pick up as well, very useful. TFTC

Last time we were in Westport we got the information needed to complete this cache but didn't have time to go for the final. Tonight we managed that and spotted the cache, exposed, from 10m away. We have tried to leave it covered but nature may have the last word in that. TFTC.
Finally we were able to put our findings to the test. The keyword was visible from some distance and after we got a bit closer and checked what appeared to be a cache it proved to be the bull's eye. TFTC
The following site will help to convert UTM59 to WGS84.

We gave the cache some TLC and a new log book (since it is not far from our home).

The waypoints were soon found, but the final location had us wondering as it was very close to another cache we had visited, however the coordinates proved correct and led to a quick easy find. The cache was full of water and the logbook was soaking wet.

This is about our third attempt. Finally we had the time to work out how the heck to change the Oregon to the required setting. Once that was done we were past first base and on our way. Enjoyable multi. Made the find and removed a bucket load of water from the container. Unable to write on the load. This container is desperate to be taken home and given some TLC in front of a heater.

Now how do I get the Oregon back to normal[?]

Knew what we needed to do, but could not see the link. Numbers worked fine.
Sure is strange to see the final so close to another cache we did last year.

Started this after a meal at a restaurant while staying in Westport while it was still light, and finished it by torchlight well after dark. Really enjoyed this cache, I walked the lot and got a very good introduction to the buildings in the town. No problems with the waypoints (the last one was about 21 metres out by my GPS, however it was obvious where it should be) and the final was a surprisingly quick find. I'm still wondering how GZ was allowed to be so close to another cache..? Signed log, TFTC and it's worth another favourite point
ok feel its time to ad a small note fyi you will need to change the coordinate system om your gps to find this one as you may have noted form the below comments
I was scratching my head - but Stretch0 was soon on to it - I was very impressed and after adjusting our thinking and tech gear we were off - hmm something screwy - went back over things and worked out we started with a wrong number - that sorted we were soon off and had the final worked out - was surprised to realise were we ended up but sure enough - there was our reward !!!! thanks for the challenge and the cache - enjoyed it very much
Headed to this one and at first look at the info we thought OMG! Finally after a sit down and a think we got it sorted out the plan of attack but then realized we had a mistake in our first set of figures. A quick return then everything started to fall into place. Really enjoyed this challenge and we felt a sigh of relief and happy to have completed this one on the first attempt TFTC
Yesterday at night I overlooked that there are three waypoints! I looked for the precious at the second waypoint ... no problems today. Log is dirty and wet, but writable. TFTC
Finally got this one figured out after being stumped last time. Visited the WPs after dinner last night and the final this morning. Good one. TFTC
[It is good if you know all capabilities of your Garmin. Backwards, forwards, drive and here are the final coords.] Can this be true? So close to another cache? Something must be wrong. [Re-check? Go for it? It was dark and cold, so gave it a go and were rewarded. TFTC]
We did this over several days till we had visited all waypoints. Took a little bit of time to find the right co-ord system on our GPS, but once we had that it was easy. Never expected to end up where we did either. Was an easy find and we were led direct to the final point.

[Had a great deal of trouble with this one but floundered around and got there in the end.] We did the conversion ok but all the co-ords seemed well out. Maybe it was just us. Thats a pretty big "lime" tree.
Mrs B offered the right three letter acronym via phone and Mr B knew what to after that. Made a huge hash of one waypoint until Mrs B offered a log by means of an explanation - all sorted after that. Nice multi. Thanks. TFTC.
Did not attempt. Got the info from WP1 and realised I didn't know what to do. Too hard for this stage of the day, so I'm leaving it for another trip. Thank you for placing the cache.
An interesting tour of Westport's buildings. A good cache to get the grey matter working during a holiday, but we must have made a slight error as WP2 was 21m out. However logic prevailed and we found the required date to get us to the final. Thanks
#900 This cache was worth it to be # 900. Tricky but cool cache.
Thanks for the great multi Quiri

I did the first waypoint some time ago, but didn't recognise the co-ordinate format (duh - I've got that sorted now).

This was a bit of fun to do. I'm sure it'll give some plenty of confusion initially. Everything worked out rather nicely. Didn't end up where I was guessing I would. Cache was quite obvious as there was a lack of cover - probably all washed off. TFTC.
Quick multi. The Coords had me confused for a while but worked it out eventually. TFTC. TNLNSL
FTF. This one had me running all round town. Good one, co-ordinates took me right to it
