I got the GZ info years ago and actually tried to find it without any luck. Totally forgot about it and saw it on the map yesterday and not realising I had searched for it before. Got close to GZ and realised I was on the wrong level so went to the right level and realised I had been here before but it wasnt a park back then. Quickly spotted the cache.

24-Oct-24
A great bit of history tucked away in a small park. Easy multi to solve and nice walk to GZ. A lovely view from the GZ park which we stopped and rested at. TFTC

24-Oct-24
trudged back where we just come fro.m. nice history. TFTC

07-Oct-24
We made hopefully the last of many visits to GZ and we are very happy with the position and camo of our geocache.Enjoy your visit and the updated surrounds. All the best odlids

21-Sep-24
Great day for a spring time cache find in this beautiful part of Sydney

17-Sep-24
A chilly sunny afternoon after work. Found the old camouflaged cache, signed log off. So far, its my 2170th find. Another day of multi ticked off. Thanks odlids for continuing this cache for everyone.

15-Sep-24
Many thanks to Portstevo and red_ear_slider for confirming that our geocache is still in place. A true miracle! We will visit GZ soon. All the bestodlids

14-Sep-24
Tftc. It seems our visit has coincided with the barriers being removed. Cache container still in place and contents in good condition. Works seem to have made the cache visible from the footpath so it may need to be moved slightly to stay hidden in future. Found with red_ear_slider

14-Sep-24
Found with Portstevo on our Sydney visit. Park has changed a bit, hint would likely now be near green power box as bin has been moved. Tftc

11-Sep-24
Most of this park is finally open again. Spruced up & sparkly refreshed. GZ photo sent to CO to see if cache is still there or not.On the way to compete nearby caches tonight. A balmy evening with dinner smells all around, both home cooked and cafe serves. A photo somewhere out there for you

25-Aug-24
We arrived at GZ early this morning planning to retrieve or replace our geocache but the barricades were still in place, but the space is looking great.Perhaps next month will be our final visit, for a while anyway.

27-Jul-24
This will hopefully be our second last visit in this seriesWorks in the area of GZ are progressing nicely and the area is looking very nice. So stay tunedWe are heading to Kirrabilli Markets on what has turned out to be a very wet Saturday morning.

23-Jun-24
Visited again this time on a very cold (for Sydney) and wet day, GZ is still behind a fence where there is much happening to enhance the area.Until next time

22-May-24
Another month another visit!Nothing has changed in regard to our geocache but the surroundings are indeed receiving a major up grade. Our early morning visits have been great, this is such a special area especially as the sun rises and the day comes to life. Enjoy the photo. All the bestodlids

21-Apr-24
Another month since our last visit to GZ and our geocache is still (hopefully) safe behind bars.Made an early morning visit hope you like the photo. All the bestOdlids

20-Mar-24
Was able to make a quick visit to GZ and as expected the area is a construction site.

08-Mar-24
We expect our geocache to be unavailable for a few months as the Council are upgrading the area.Due to health issues we havent been able to do a reci within the allowed period this time, but will make a visit to the site as soon as we can. All the best Odlids

04-Feb-24
Solved GZ coordinates at WP1 today, however the ground zero is currently out of bounds due to some upgrades in progress. Have to wait till the whole area is open to the public (mid 2024?) and hopefully the cache is still there. Thanks for a nice sunny afternoon stroll

04-Feb-24
Marking it with a note for now. I'll come back to ground zero when the hoarding is down.

04-Feb-24
Well here we are again!!GZ is in stage 2 of it's upgrade and is again (hopefully) safe behind fencing. It should be available again mid 2024, but we will visit every 4 weeks with an update of the situation as required. At least we will get to visit the area again and take in all it has to offer. All the bestodlids

03-Feb-24
we came here like others and will return when hoarding has gone

03-Dec-23
after solving this one a little while ago, i finally had a chance to return to pyrmont. the cache was a little exposed so i tried to camo it as best as i could. a wonderfully quiet spot, such a peaceful and green space here and nearby. i started on the wrong level and didnt understand why the awesome-looking ivy-covered stairs were blocked (probably overgrown and/or unstable) but, like the true adventurer i am, i chose to go down that way regardless. tftc and all those nearby. Ive learned loads about the buildings in the area (a special interest of mine)

25-Nov-23
Im in Sydney for the weekend, flying from Brisbane to see the production of Wicked. After caching my way from Central Station to the hotel, I dropped my bags off and headed out for more caches. This one was on my Sydney Weekend list.I wandered to GZ, where I read the plaque with interest, and gathered the required information to send me on my way. I found another cache, making a slight detour, and then continued to the new coordinates to find this cache. There were quite a few places where a cache could be hidden, but thankfully it wasnt long before the cache at hand.Log signed, container replaced and covered by natural camo, it was then time to enjoy the view. Very special for those who live nearby, or come to visit. Thanks for bringing me to these two interesting Two Goth Geeks, and for the maintenance, odlids, and for teaching me some more about the local history.

02-Nov-23
Another fun puzzle, bringing us to a wonderful spot overlooking Sydney. As it turns out, there is something resembling the hint near GZ, which contained an enormous red Huntsman of a type I havent seen before, but luckily the correct location with soon found, log signed, and cache returned.

31-Oct-23
Come back and have lunch at this park. Finally, find and sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt. Worth to see the view. So beautiful FP from me ??

31-Oct-23
Had lunch here and a nice view. Nice trip by ferry. Thanks for your hidden cache

31-Oct-23

31-Aug-23
Took a few tries but I finally found it!

25-Jul-23
The fencing is now gone, and I was able to make an immediate find. TFTC!

24-Jul-23
Solved this one a few weeks ago. Arrived in Sydney this morning and went for a walk around the Pyrmont area. Found by my muggle friend who I am travelling with. Took TB so it could visit the Sunshine State. TFTC

13-Jul-23
One million percent forgot that I solved this multi earlier in the day and ran back from the maritime museum to find the cache. Almost gave up trying to find this, but decided to check one last spot before leaving to find the cache tucked away! Dropped off a travel bug
TFTC

05-Jun-23
Wow so I started this one several years ago and only make the find today. Lots of works going on at the park but the vines are stripped back making a much easier find at GZ. Thanks odlids for placing this one TFTC

04-Jun-23
Tftc odlids. 2nd of 2 days in town to catch the Vivid activities. Actually got out of bed early today and donned the running gear.
Quick find, cache is in excellent nick. Fence still here.

03-Jun-23
We found it behind the fence. TFTC!

03-Jun-23
OCW GZed. Took a little bit to find but once we ventured beyond the fence, it was long until we had the CIH. Signed as CB+GZ. TFTC!

23-May-23
After visiting waypoint 1 and getting the required info it was off to HZ for me, this too way to long ti find and some logs saying it was accessible isn’t true, the cache is still behind a fence and had ti go behind it to get it

This morning I headed into the city for a walk around darling harbour and pyrmont and to find a few caches.

Thanks for the cache

06-May-23
Many thanks to barbbowman who took photos of the fencing mentioned by 2 previous visitors, saving us an hour and a half drive return to check the access to our geocache.
We can confirm that the geocache is still accessible and the fence is NOT the fence that was previously blocking access.

Yay! Smile

So daughter has been working down in Sydney for a while and she hasn't gotten a bit lonely. So what do we do..head to Sydney for a week, and definitely some caching.

So there's a hard way and an easy way to GZ. WE nearly took the wrong option. Bit concerned on approach but soon found the cache could be accessed without issue.

TFTC

02-May-23
not sure why but i kept thinking this was an earth cache
till we got here and pulled out the paperwork and realised it is a puzzle

very cool spot and great info

we passed crazy people doing an ice bath contest on the way ... it is 12 degrees this morning

there is a fence around a rubbish pile that belongs to the construction going on nearby

loving these hides, there are so many in sydney

left green ribbon

27-Apr-23
Construction fence still there

15-Apr-23
Saw it but construction is blocking the way

Found the information, a little bit of mathematics and I had the cache in hand.

Out: TB

25-Feb-23
Found while in Sydney to see Ed Sheeran. Staying at Darling Harbour with muggle friend I checked out surrounding caches that would be interesting before coming up. I have never explored this area of Sydney so while muggle checked out the casino I continued on to make the find.

TFTC

04-Feb-23
Enjoyed learning about the quarries that extracted the sandstone to build many of Sydney’s iconic buildings. GZ was a special place, too! TFTC

04-Feb-23
This plaque at the memorial lists some of these iconic buildings.

29-Jan-23
Nice and easy find after a great read, first entry in the brand new logbook accompanied with amazing views, tftc!

26-Jan-23
Our 13th visit to check the situation at GZ.

The fence has gone....Council work completed...and our geocache still in place. Whoo hoo!!!

It is with a little sadness that I no longer have to visit GZ on a regular basis and on the other hand a relief Smile

As you can see from our photos it is a lovely area to marvel at our beautiful part of the world.

Many thanks to all my companions over the last year and a half, my daughter Sarah, a good friend Iain, Nana Nel and wazza9, your company was very much appreciated.

All the best everyone
odlid Deb

23-Dec-22
Situation is still the same at GZ.
Here's to 2023 and for some progress in this area!

All the best
odlids

21-Nov-22
Another month, another visit!
Situation is the same at GZ.
Nice evening for a drive and visited a Street Library too.

24-Oct-22
Made a quick trip in after work to find the situation the same at GZ as for the past 10 visits.
Nice view of the city with low cloud.
A surprisingly dry drive considering it has been a very wet day.

Until next month

24-Sep-22
Another note, following another visit to GZ!

Due to frustration at the circumstances at GZ, some research was undertaken that revealed that Council works were planned to start in June 2022 and would take 4 weeks to complete.....

There has not been a sod turned so I guess there are more visits and notes to be written on our part.

20-Aug-22
Visited again, situation still the same.
We have become regulars at a little eatery in Newtown - a monthly treat for us!

18-Jul-22
Yet another visit, still the same situation - sorry

15-Jun-22
Visited again, barrier still in place at GZ.
We enjoyed a night taking in the sights of VIVID from GZ and up close - soooo many people.

15-May-22
Visited GZ last night, all still barricaded, but with the hope of something changing soon.

Here's hoping so, although we have enjoyed our visits to the area, and are becoming very familiar with the roads.

17-Apr-22
Swung by again this evening, everything as it has been for the last few months with GZ still barricaded off.

18-Mar-22
Made another visit to GZ this evening, enjoyed dinner in Newtown and a not so enjoyable storm on the way home. Sadly we are reporting that there is no change to the council fencing barring access to GZ.

11-Feb-22
Swung by for a physical look at the situation at GZ - No change as yet - Council Barriers still in place.

11-Jan-22
Made a visit to GZ and Council barriers are still in place for the moment.

19-Jun-21
Slight problem at GZ for now

19-Jun-21
Temporarily disabling this cache due to the erection of Council barricades for safety reasons. Thanks to Jennyfromthefarm for the heads up!

21-Jan-21
Solved this yesterday.
Came to GZ today to search. Someone was tanning, but still searched as quietly and unsuspiciously as possible until I sneezed . Found and signed. TFTC (TB seen)

21-Jan-21
Nice little spot
TFTC

16-Jan-21
Collected the details last week, but it was dark by the time I managed to get to the GZ, so my search was less than thorough.

I got here in daylight this afternoon, but had no more luck than last week.

06-Jan-21
Many thanks to Nana Nel and Wazza 9 for logging and checking on this cache of ours that was reported as 'needing maintenance'.
Please note that the cache is in place and in good condition.
Nana and Wazza your efforts are very much appreciated at this end.

Happy caching

06-Jan-21
After seeing that this cache required maintenance and I hadn't found it, but I had been there 9 years ago. After a short search and looking very closely saw the container nicely tucked away. Signed the log and replaced leaving a trackable to continue it's journey. Thanks to Odlids for maintaining this cache.

06-Jan-21
Great to revisit this cache. Still as hard to find as I remember, fun watching Nana nel get there. Adding a favourite as I was only a basic member when I found it.
Came with the owners permission to do maintenance if it was required. Not needed as shown in the photo, the original container is in place.

05-Jan-21
As with last cacher - an interesting history lesson and a nice walk to GZ, but no cigar. I am taller than the CO so found a VERY likely T2 hiding spot VERY empty.
Suggest a quick check. Cheers KV

05-Jan-21
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

18-Dec-20
Nice walk around waypoint, got to GZ and searched high and low but could only find bushes

21-Jun-20
Found at night!

16-Apr-20
Ages ago I correctly found the coordinates but couldn’t find the cache. Then I lost the solution and did not return. That blue DNF sat on my map like a malevolent mask but Ms Atalanta and I revisited it all a few days ago. Still we didn’t find it.
Third time today and I found it immediately.
Got to love this game of Geocaching,
TFTC

13-Apr-20
Found the cache quickly, what a fluke tftc.

14-Feb-20
No luck here, but great view. Regards

28-Nov-19
I had solved it way back in the beginning of the year. Took me awhile but with PAF guidance I eventually had CIH. Certainly in a well hidden hellhole for little old Brew. This one put me though hell, thought I'd be in DNF purgatory but finally achieved the caching paradise of a smiley. TFTC

22-Oct-19
Solved this one ages ago but ran out of time. Picked up on the way to trivia at the Terminus tftc

20-Oct-19
Approximately eye level for an average height person. Bring a torch!

16-Oct-19
Turned this into a smiley on our second visit. TFTC

16-Oct-19
Hard to find.
TFTC

16-Oct-19
Second time here to find this cache, success a hard find. TFTC

16-Oct-19
After reaching up finally found it. TFTC

29-Sep-19
Bummed to report I couldn't find it. I had a good start on the search but a Ninja Muggle started climbing the stairs... and by climbing, I mean he used everything except the steps!

He was clearly into a workout, so I left to check out the festival below, but didn't have a chance to get back to look some more today. It will be on the list for next visit.

Enjoyed the puzzle and the walk though.

04-Aug-19
Easy calculation and nice walk along the bay to the final destination. It took a while to find the box, but in the end we succeeded...
TFTC

27-Jul-19
Lovely walk around Pyrmont. Found it on my second visit. Don't try to find this in the dark.

03-Jun-19
I did this over a couple of weeks during lunch breaks - interspersed with a few other nearby caches. A nice two step multi, with a glorious view from GZ. It's a simple but very effective hide. When I used to work in a different part of the city I'd regularly walk right past GZ at lunch, well before I knew about geocaching. TFTC, it's a beauty.

30-Apr-19
Visited site with Happy Jackie and quickly solved puzzle. Continued our walk around Pyrmont and eventually made our way to GZ. A little search and got it. Thanks

25-Apr-19
Initially looked at a different, but similar plaque below the actual WP1 which had me stuck for all the numbers. Found the right one on the way to distillery hill. The GZ was great! Took a TB. TFTC.

#2627 a nice wander around on a nice day got the info and with the hint found the cache.

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Two Goth Geeks and thanks to odlids for keeping it going

In Sydney to find some caches with teamMerlin. After finding the cache we signed the log and replaced as found. thanks for the cache Two Goth Geeks and odlids.

25-Mar-19
Stayed in the city last night and decided to walk around town grabbing a view caches before heading home. With the rain easing off we walked out to Pyrmont before lunch. Found the needed information quickly enough and on our way back detoured back out to GZ. Walked down the stairs and let the GPSr guide us in. Starting searching in what appeared to be an obvious location, but nothing was found. After about 15 minutes was going to call a DNF and that was when we spotted something in an area we hadn't checked. Got a bit wet on the extraction, but the cache was now in hand. After signing the log we replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Two Goth Geeks as well as odlids for the ongoing maintenance.

The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, England since 1872
