I have found this cache previously, and visited here again today, following the recent bush-fire. The entire area has been incinerated, and I couldn't see any sign of the cache around GZ.
Went out today to find a cache nearby and thought we would see if this one was here as we had tried before but couldn't find! After the fire had been through we weren't liking our chances! Jumped over railing and saw a small rock, lifted it up and underneath was a melted blob of plastic with burnt paper also. We suspect this might've been the cache which is no more! Interestingly we also found a burnt box of shotgun shells just beyond the lookout also, bit suss if you ask me! Anyways don't think this cache will be back up and running for a bit as area is completely burnt out!

Was out at this location a couple of days ago. The fire has absolutely destroyed everything here. Strangely enough the viewing platform and most of the wood stair supports survived. I did not see the cache here and is highly likely it has been annihilated. CO hasnt been on since 11/07/2012 so will pay another more thorough visit and most likely will log an archive log.

I didn't read the description for this one, it popped up on the GPS as we were passing so we headed up to check it out. Got to the lookout tower and took in the view, and grabbed a few photos then started the search. I did not expect it out side the barrier but after exhausting all the usual spots I noticed a path that seem to be calling me. I stepped out had a bit of a look and found the cache.

Had a quick walk around almost gave up as it was windy and cold for the toddler but decided one more quick look and found it awesome spot. TFTC
Out road tripping with K.B. This was one of our many stops. Thanks for the time you've taken to hide this cache. Please excuse the generic log.
Despite the almost constant drizzle in Albany today, we had an enjoyable time exploring the sites along this stretch of Albany coastline. Thanks for the cache.
We looked but could not find without desecrating the bush land around. I think it might be gone. Nice spot though.
Despite seeing plenty dnf decided to have a look and spent a good 15 minutes on hand and knees to no avail!
Kept looking for 15 minutes, but finding the right bush was not possible... Had to go due to muggles activity
Didn't want to give up on this one but we couldn't find it. Had the place to ourselves as well.
Jumped the fence while the geokids and Mrs. O. watched the two swimmers way down below. After a couple of minutes Mr. O. asked for backup and Mrs. O. went straight to the cache...Mr. O. will never hear the end of it. Awesome if slightly vertigo-inducing view at this lookout. TFTC.
Found whilst camping with my son and family at Emu Point (he lives in Perth) during a visit from the UK. Great views, but the stupidest located cache I have found IMHO.
We are approaching our 1000th find, and have been wanting to attack the Bushranger Series. So as a joke (hint) I suggested to Hubby that we pull the seats out of the back of the Kia, pop in an air mattress and cache our way to Albany. Well Hubby accepted the challenge - we also put solar fairy lights in the back so we had light while camping. It was a fun, laugh a minute, challenging little three day trip. I am copying and pasting most of my logs, with a little special mention here and there.
Thankyou all for placing these caches, we had a ball and were taken to places we would never have gone.

Day 3 in Albany and we decided to spend it in the Torndirrup National Park taking in the views and a few caches along the way. We thought we might trek out to Bald Head but ran out of oomph (ie fitness) and made it to Bald Spot but picked up our 2,5000th cache along the way. It was another beautiful sunny day and we got to see the park and coast line at its best. The only thing missing were a few whales swimming by .
An interesting piece of history and dilemma on place naming. Not sure the harbour would be a safe haven for boats of any size.
Cache was a relatively easy find
Thanks for the cache Tazsat [^]

Came down to Albany to find out what everybody was on about (all the awesome caches around the Great Southern Area). Had the roymercs on the "to do" list along with the WA Explorers series, not to mention as assortment of puzzles that I had managed to solve before the trip.
Found this one in a spot where I doubted it would be, but there it was anyway. Thanks for the smiley Tazsat

Great to get out into our backyard! You often don't visit your own town's tourist spots!
Quick visit after work to look for orchids and caches. GP had to walk twice around the radius then it was in hand. Great view TFTC
Tftc good to cleanup a dnf from before had to go fair way past the deck to get it
Finally, after a few half hearted attempts, went back with determination to find it... and I did!
Found at 3:50:00 PM while seeing the sights of Esperance before continuing on our way to Perth.
Thanks Tazsat

Traveled down to Albany and the Stirling ranges area with a mate at Easter, did this cache as part of a whole heap. Great way to see the fantastic areas on show. Good to see some really interesting areas hidden away.

Headed south for a relaxing road trip with the Western Patrol Club and a mate. We stayed at Cheynes Beach before heading across to West Cape Howe and then into the Stirling Ranges for our last few nights. Beautiful coast line, awesome hills, great fishing, and some good 4wding. Gotta love this state of ours.
Another amazing little corner. We could see some salmon resting in the calmer water. TFTC

A great cache to start a good days caching. Soon in hand and log signed. Greetings from Northern Ireland and TFTC
This is a real hidden gem, I am really happy that we came here for finding this cache. TFTH
# 5883. This is our last day in Albany so Robmc and I did some sight-seeing and some caching. I had a Challenge to complete so needed an array of different caches in the repertoire.
Did not like this cache at all. It could have been hidden anywhere so why hide it beyond the safety of the little look-out. We have seen plenty of sites where land slips have taken place around here. It is an insane place to hide it. Rob ventured through the barrier to search and my heart was in my mouth the whole time until he was safely back. To give this one a 2 star terrain rating is plain nuts. Anywhere near the landing would have been good enough. Why risk peoples lives.
Thanks Tazsat

Spent the day on a trip around the Sound playing tourist with BettyBoo3747. We picked up a few at the major tourist traps, but mainly enjoyed the natural beauty and history of the area.
We parked at the car park and walked along the track to the lookout, but we were in no way prepared for the great view that met us there. Lots of photos taken.
The GPSr said 4 meters on the wrong side of the fence, so we consulted the clue. Could have been anywhere from the clue, it described most bushes in the area
Jumped the fence and the cache was where the GPSr said.
Thanks, Robmc.

Geo Tara thought it was a piece of rubbish at first. But another smiley face for us.
This is our last morning of caching with Ian and Penny, as we go our separate ways tomorrow.
We decided to cache along Frenchman Bay Road, and a few others in the area.
This is an amazing stretch of coast with some good trail walks and amazing views.
Cache was an easy find, and in good condition.
Many thanks for the hunt today, Tazsat.

This was our 6th cache find in a caching run of 11 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 10:20 so this now makes our total find count 8024.
[blue]We cached with The Drovers again today. As there was a triathlon in Albany today, we decided that it would be much better to stay away and do some out of town caches.
A "take away" container. We were really surprised that it has lasted so long.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.

Up at the lookout checking out potential walking routes for the Family Bushwalking Club. Cache there too? Well just had to find it. The outer plastic bag is in pretty poor condition now & I worry about the cache surviving the next winter in good condition. I think a more robust container would be good some time. Thanks Tazsat for caching this location.
A great surprise when we saw the view, awesome!. Like the Swaggies, we were a little unsure about climbing out through the barrier, but not to bad in the end.

An easy find but for safety reasons, particularly in this area, could it please be accessed from the confines of the lookout! Otherwise a fantastic location for a cache!
Didn't find it. Why would you put this 4m off the path. Please move it so it can be found without leaving the path. Thanks
mrs drummers stayed behind the lookout and mr drummer did the hard work! soon he shouted out loud: i got it! thanks for showing us this lovely and paeceful place and greetings from switzerland, drummers2105
Had to look for some time as the coords were off (or the container is in wron position?). Thanks for making us stop on this beautiful lookout. TFTC
#49 on my trip to Western Australia which has just finished. Now it's time to log all the finds. Thanks for showing this place and the hide! Greetings from Germany, Ernschtl
I found this one with my Mum & Dad (jasenjanine), while on our Christmas holidays . Another nice spot ... TFTC Tazsat
On holidays, and up for some caching goodness, we set off in this general direction to check out the sights ... and of coarse the caches . It took a while to track this one down, and it wasn't until we'd read the description properly, and some previous logs that we finally found it ... maybe more like 6m from the lookout fence though.
Great views from GZ, and some interesting history about the place. Unfortunately, as we have experienced these containers in the past ... there is not a lot of life left in it . It's only a matter of time before it deteriorates completely. It already has a crack in the lid allowing moisture/rain in. It would be good to see it replaced with a more sturdy example in the near future to keep it dry and fun to find. All is ok and dry for the moment ... TFTC Tazsat

We packed up the kids and took a job to Albany with an overnight camp before coming home. The kids and I found this cache with a few other local ones while waiting for the building to be craned off the truck. We had a look around for this geo, but I was not happy with the kidlets climbing over the barrier. So, I spent most of the time freaking out while Mr tea looked for the goods. However we gave up and headed up the road to the next one hoping for easier pickings.
A nice quick find between all the muggle visitors this morning. Lovely location and an interesting view on who the Harbour was named for. TFTC
Visiting my favourite spot in Albany whilst on holiday from Perth. The co-ordinates were accurate which enabled a quick find. Cache needs attention. Logs are full and a more substantial container would be good. Cache is in, what could be, a dangerous area. Young children should be discouraged from trying this one. Perhaps the owner, next time he is visiting from Tasmania, should consider moving it to more stable ground.
This our 1st full day of caching in Albany. We chose to head around the bay into the Torndirrup National Park.
Today was an amazing day, spectacular views, great scenery, some good walks & clever cache locations
Thanks Tazsat

There is a different story again on the tourist map - says it was named after a fisherman who sheltered in here during a storm! TFTC
Another great view of a very secluded blue bay. No one about this morning and after a bit of a hunt we finally found the cache.
Thanks
Thanks
Hmmm No good today, light was fading, winding picking up and the rain was starting to I gave up pretty quickly, but I did have a quick look without success, But I will return (When not working) and I will spend more time chasing the rest of the caches in the area. Thanks for bringing me here...
Wow, what a spectacular view, had to take a few steps outside the barrier but we were more concerned about the impact of all the litter that was around. We collected a large bag of mostly plastic bottles and take-away containers. If only people would take their rubbish back with them.
Thanks for the cache Tazsat.
Thanks for the cache Tazsat.
Good spot but cache could be in a better location accessible from the path. TFTC
It was just too wet and slippery to be comfortable poking around there. And lots of toilet paper. Fortunately the day was gray and not windy and no tourists, so I did have some things going for me. I had hoped to look for a better site for a cache in this lovely spot to visit and encourage Tazsat to consider this option.
A great spot though we did find that we were further from the platform than 4 mts when we found the cache. Also, we don't really agree with bush bashing in such a dangerous area. Not good for the local flora nor the geocachers arms and legs!
