On day 2 of the pahi coastal walk. Enjoying this stretch of the walk. Didnt take too long to find with hint. Tftc
On day2 of the Pahi Coastal Walk. Found as per hint. Stopped here to use to facilities. No pen so took a photo.
I was on day 2 of my walk around the Pahi Coastal Walk trail, a 20km section which is partially on private land and partially on public DOC walkways. I really enjoyed this part of the walkway along the Coastline, it reminded me of some walks around my home town of Whangarei. This cache was an easy enough find with the hint, although it is quite deep in the Kikuyu! TFTC!
Was harder than we thought but we got it. Came back after finding the other one at the lookout.
Haha!!! I found it!!!
It was staring me right in the face!!!!
I seem to have trouble with some of the obvious ones
It was staring me right in the face!!!!
I seem to have trouble with some of the obvious ones
Why am I struggling with this one!!!! First I looked at the clue, and was totally in the wrong place, that did not mean what I thought it ment. Then I had to have a serious think and look at 5he starlight map on Google maps, now I think I know where it is, but I don't know where it is!! Didn't help that there ate muggles about and one came racing up to talk to me just as I decided I knew where to look!..
I will try again tomorrow. And if I don't find it, I will save it for another trip when I go find the one on the big hill.

We woke up to a beautiful sunny day and a perfect, tranquil Fletcher Bay. There were a handful of campers and day trippers about, but no where near gz.
What better way to start the day than to pick up a geocache.
Thanks for setting this up

Staying for a couple of nights at Port Jackson,; I drove over here today to check out the end of the road.
Great views on the way over.
Thanks for this cache, No Fixed Aboder. I wandered around for a bit, then put my phone away & “thought like a cachers”.

Staying in Coromandel for a few days. Today was a drive to the end of the road getting a few caches. This is the cache at the end of the road. It was quickly found. Thanks

Quick park n find. What an awesome campsite. Sadly, there was no trackable found in here. Found with Reny90
Arrived at Fletchers bay. Our intention was to do half the track today then to do the other half tomorrow from the other end. It was a pretty sunny and hot day. This cache was found pretty quickly. All good here
This was as far as we drove today, after this it was retrace the track. I parked over the way and walked through the camp site to GZ. After a short search I had the cache in hand and grabbed the TB. On the way back to the car the nearest campers asked if I was Geocaching and I had a 10 minute stand-up routine to discuss our hobby/obsession. A good chat and then it was time for lunch in the shade - phew. FP for this last No Fixed Aboder cache on this day.
Day 2 and a trip up to the top was what we had planned. We covered plenty of kms, some 'interesting' driving along unsealed roads, high towering ups and seaside downs - nice. Just a dozen caches but all were good and enjoyed.
Our last visit to the Coromandel was over 12 years ago so it was good to be back in the area after all of that time. We had spent Christmas away in Northland, and a quiet New Year at home before a 4 day/3 night stay in Coromandel town. We explored up the West of the peninsula up to Fletchers Camp, through the middle and across to the East coast of Whitianga and Whangamata, before heading back home 'via' Waihi Beach, where sadly that lady was killed by a shark whilst swimming, RIP. We found all available TMGT options, a few Earthcaches and saw some great sites and sights. Thanks to all COs for their caches here. We didn't do nearly as many as the Seagnoid and TB dragon whose steps we followed in on some days.

We have just walked to The Lookout along Coromandel Walkway. Its getting very hot so pleased to be back at Toby. But before we leave just have to come snag and tag this one. Cheers. Not many people at this campground get. Thankfully we will be long gonebefore it gets full.
Day 3 - Fantail Bay - Fletchers Bay - Coromandel Walkway to lookout - and back to Paritu Bay.
Another great day but very hot up this way.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

Hikoi'd off to the lookout and back. Looking down onto the campground I realised something. This campground is HUGE!!!! No wonder the track is so well worn. But this camp is right on the end of never - okay, so I guess it is popular for the same reason we wanted to come here to. Just *be* at the tip.
I realised I have been carrying trackables all day with me, so dropped one on here.
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs, 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk and lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

First on on a hot day as we walked the coastal path. Cache was exposed so re-hid it a bit more. TFTC
A stunner of a day! I tried another cache up the hill, but no luck, glad to find this one easily and then back to chilling with the whanau. Thank you for placing and definitely worth a walk through the campsite to see the views
Deja vu, it's as we have been there searching 6 years ago. But no trace of nothing. Today quickly spotted. TFTC
Find number 5929. I had always wanted to venture to the top of Coromandel on a caching trip. So when Boges offered to be my driver a plan was hatched. We spent the night along the coast and then cached our way up the west side to Fletcher Bay. I then walked the track thru to Stoney Bay while he drove around to meet me. A few more caches as we made our way back to our accommodation. I was able to clear most of the caches and ended the day with 37 finds out of 39 (2 DNF). I signed it the 7th but was actually found on the 8th. (Too early out of bed this morning).
I wandered over to this one as I considered whether I would walk the track to Stoney Bay. Nice quick find before having lunch and setting off. Thank you for the placement.

[#1253 | 12:03] What a beautiful piece of earth! So glad we decided to explore Coromandel all the way up to the Fletchers bay. Thanks & greetings from the Czechs!
We are here for a couple of days so on this beautiful day we took the kids on the first part of the walk. Left this one till last. I made the kids look for it themselves with a bit of directing from me. They looked for about 5 min before finding it.
Thanks for taking the time to put a cache out here

Having a rare weekend off plus no work yesterday, KrystalKath, Tama & I have headed to the Coromandel for the duration, staying at Simpson’s Beach out of Whitianga.
Today we’ve left the caravan and driving to Fletcher Bay - a part of NZ neither of us have previously visited. The weather forecast is not particularly good but in actual fact the day is stunning, cloudless sky and no wind.
And here we are... journeys End.
Only a few fishers here, a couple of other day visitors and one camper.
As it's getting late... we'll be lucky to make it back to Coromandel Town before dark there's only really time to do this one cache. Since its taken me 62 years to get here I doubt I'll ever be back to do the interesting looking caches beyond the road-end.
**It's been a great day!**
This cache is nothing special but for the excellent adventure **I've got to award a favourite point.** Thank you NFA for placing these caches. I highly recommend the journey.

camping here so easy cache to find. grass is very long here at present. very peaceful campsite. went kayaking in the bay also.tftc
No look for us here. Lots of long grass and a wide search area worked against us
This was our first find along this stunning walkway on a very hot Summer day. Found this one closer to GZ than the hint states, in a very obvious place to geocachers.
Headed to the far northern parts of the peninsular today and found a few caches along the way. Stopped here at Fletchers Bay for some lunch and a spot I’d exercise. Found this one quickly near the beginning of my walk TFTC NoFixedAbode
Found at the end of the world after a car trip AVIS shall never know about.

#519. Some friends and I went on a three-day camping experience at Fantail Bay, which was just before here. Today we went for a walk which started at this spot. My friends hadn't heard of geocaching so this was the perfect chance to introduce them to it. It didn't take us too long to find this one, and they were very interested in geocaching and how it worked after that.
I've just seen that one of my friends Michelle who was with me at the time has signed up and logged the find in the log entry below! Nice to see that I've introduced somebody else to geocaching
This was the only one we managed to find due to time constraints and everybody's general lethargy after finishing the long walk up to the top of Sugar Loaf. What beautiful views from the Coromandel Walkway!
Thanks for the cache!

A group of us were heading up to Port Jackson for a bit of a gathering so in the company of Alpenmilch80, HKCB & 11HPG11 this was our first stop on the trip north with an aim at some truly memorable caches and lots of laughs. All Logs signed as "HOAC" to save on space
I ended the weekend with a total of 50 caches, a FTF, and approx 10 years of lonely caches (predominantly all located above Coromandel township). A 600km round trip and back home in 42 hours, so not a bad little haul, of course remembering that the first casualty of a well laid plan is "The Plan". We also located a great number of caches that had supposedly been DNF'ed over the last several visits, so that is always a bonus and a great thing to be able to let the various CO's know.
As we were foiled at the nearby ford we had to walk in from down near to Jacksons Bay, up and along the road for an added 7km's to the journey in before even getting to the Muriwai Track which we had planned on walking. This was the first of the caches that we had planned to get along this track and after the road walk in this was a pleasent start to our travels along the Muriwai Track. The rewards of the stunning views out were enough reward but the cache was the added bonus. Many of the caches along this track had had DNF's in the past and what was great was that we were able to locate all those caches. All an added Bonus for the CO's responsible for these caches.
Thanks for brining us to this spot for without the cache we may have just passed on by.

Joined in on the fun with 11HPG11 and Cats&Dragons on a overnighter at Port Jackson. Kiwis69 also joined the crew on the Saturday to find a few caches. The whole weekend was a blast, and a lot of fun was had. The logs were all signed as "HOAC" to save space on the logbook.
Over the two days we ended up have a whirlwind tour of the upper half of the Coromandel, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. A big thanks to all the CO's for being our tour guide/s over the weekend. A truly unforgettable trip.
Joined by Alpenmilch80, 11HPG11 and Cats and Dragons on a walk over the Coromandel Walkway. With all the rain we had overnight we were forced to park the car at the fiord a few kms from Fletcher Bay. This just added to the adventure, a bonus was we managed to locate all the caches along here as a few had had some DNF's of late. Thanks for the great walk.

After a fun evening followed by a very wet night at Port Jackson the group assembled slowly for some breakfast in the morning. We all geared up to drive out to Fletcher Bay for a morning tramp. We were stopped at the first flooded river with our plans. We tried multiple other ways losing some of our members in the process. A smaller group including 11hpg11, HKCB, Cats&Dragons decided to leave the car at the river and cross it by foot walking the additional km to Fletcher Bay. We finally made it to Fletcher Bay to start the Walkway. TFTC
A few of us were heading to Port Jackson for a spot of 'summer' camping. So an early morning start meant we could collect some caches on the way up. Our group today consisted of HKCB, Cats&Dragons, Alpenmilch80 and myself and logs were signed with Team Snappy or HOAC
All up we had a whirlwind tour of the Coromandel and saw some amazing sights. Plus a few boxes here and there of course. It was interesting to see how the storm and king tides had changed certain spots and we were treated to some spectacular thunder storms rolling in from Great Barrier. The camping was an experience, wet, full of laughs, and a great time. Thanks to the cache owners for showing us round the Coromandel and giving us a reason to get out and about.
As we missed out on doing the walk with the rest of the group we decided to tackle a few caches along this coastline walkway. This was made a little harder by the king tide which made the ford impassable. After watching a ute get stuck and various campers plotting their ways to get across we decided to park the car here and wade across. This wasn't too bad, but did mean it added an extra 7km gravel road walk for us before the walk even got started.
Finally made it to the walkway and I feel like I've done a days work already! So hot. Stunning views made it worthwhile though.

We stayed for the night at the campground of beautiful and calm Port Jackson and continued the scenic drive to Fletchers Bay in the morning. From there we walked a little up the hill but returned after a while on the same track. Found this one underway.

Found with team BOP what a long but awesome weekend we had with lots of walking up and down hills but the views were worth it such a spectacular place we live in.

We had planned a big weekend with 6 of us travelling the Coromandel area and logging caches as team BOP. Found many great spots, several caches we replaced wet log sheets and others missing for some time. Lots of km's travelled on tarseal, gravel and some not so good roads. Lots of rained showers seemed to plague us on the first day. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, NZFlossy, TNXPro, and Philip.Perry… This is the first time we have cached overnight together. What an adventure… We group signed as Team BOP for efficiency and expediency.
We visited so many beautiful and remote locations on the Coromandel Peninsula. Many of these areas deserved to be hosts to caches. However, we encountered several that needed owner maintenance. Wet logbooks seemed to be far too common (We’ve had a lot of rain). Oftentimes, a sodden logbook was stuffed back into the container with a new, bagged logbook alongside (What's up with that?). And then there were some caches that were quite obviously missing (and have been for a while)… Nevertheless, a huge thank you to all of the COs for bringing us to these amazing places… We are determined to return and explore some more.
We'd heard a lot about this walkway and had a plan to visit the caches some time ago. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out... Good to round up these hides today... TFTC.

Team BOP have reunited for a two day adventure in the Coromandel.
The grass was so long that it did take a little searching. Luckily TNXPro had keen eyes and soon turned up the cache.
Cheers No Fixed Aboder, everything's in good order here. TFTC.

Team BOP were heading to the Coromandel west coast to knock off as many caches as we can.
This one was in a less than spectacular location, but still it makes me want to come camping here at summertime.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Made this cache on our 4 weeks honeymoon through New Zealand. So many great places to see in this beautiful country.
On the 21th day of travelling with our campervan we stayed in Coromandel town to go for the Coromandel Coastal Walkway. We booked a journey and were only the two of us together with the guide who drove us to Fletcher Bay and picked us up again at Stony Bay. On the way he explaines us a lot of interesting things about the area.
The track was really great on this sunny warm day. We saw only few people and could fully concentrate on the way and the nature. Just how we like it. We also searched for all geocaches on the walkway and found all of them. Great day!

A very quick find given we were only three metres away from the last cache we found! A great spot, we plan to explore the walkway further afiled later in the week. TFTC No Fixed Aboder, #8368
Staying at Port Jackson for a couple of nights and came over to have a look at the walkway - started on the track to do the first few - really beautiful views and looking forward to coming back and doing the whole walk TFTC

First "meters" on our walk on the coastel walk. Just starting with the walk and we "had to" stop to find this cache. But anyway it was nice to find such an old cache on a beautiful hike.
We only had time to grab a couple of caches on the Coromandel Walkway today, a lovely camp site with some impressive tents….. living the life of luxury, many thanks for showing us Fletcher Bay, TFTC.
On the way back I also looked for this one and found it.
I am not sure but tink I found the Störtebecker TB here and not at the Orca cache...

It took a wee while to find the cache, after initially looking in the right place, but not sufficiently thoroughly. The camp manager(?) was mowing lawns nearby, and said he wouldn't say a word. Then off up the slippery wet track, with wet feet from crossing the stream at the start. TFTC
Camping the night here before doing some mountain biking on the Coromandel walkway tomorrow. Had a delay in getting into the campground, helping a finnish couple changing the tyre on their "Millenium Falcon" spaceship campervan. He'd been driving for 6 years and never had a puncture, but this was his second one today ! Luckily they'd fixed the first in Coromandel. Ironically, we got a puncture ourselves before we got back to Colville. The DOC manager of the campground was wonderful and friendly, and we were the only people camping here tonight (though there were 3 vans and a bunch of trampers at the lodge).
This cache was our 10th and final find for the day - a rare double digit day for the Jacksonz.

Holidaying in NZ from Melbourne, we are spending two nights at Coromandel. Today we took a drive up to the top of the peninsular, and grabbed a few caches along the way. This was one we found. Tftc.

Hired a driver to bring us here. Sure glad we did, that was some road. Twist and turns, not a long straight stretch any where. The day was perfect, the view was perfect, everything was perfect....
Now for the walk, hike, or trac. We in Canada call this a hike.
Ok! here we go. This is the first along the trail.
Thanks for this cache No Fixed Aboder

We found this cache during our wonderful journey through New Zealand. Thank you for the cache and the great time in your country! Greetings from Germany.
Beautiful walkway! Good hiding spot. I can see why it threw a lot if people off. Found while filming te #greatkiwiroadie unfortunately I didn't have a pen and the pencil was broken
Spent an hour looking all around in on under but could not find it. Either so well hidden or missing, me thinks the latter as this is my first cache I have not found
