Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling in the YP. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
After a wet and blustery night in Wallaroo we headed out with iluvtrekking to cache in Bute and surrounding towns. Thanks Tk2
A fun day with JJ52 and Michells&hound going from Adelaide to Lochiel, Snowtown, Bute and Moonta finding caches along the way. My main role was to drive and find caches. Thanks for bringing us here and the history lesson. TFTC Tk2
A caching day was planned with allister w and Michells&hound and a nice list was made visiting Lochiel, Snowtown, Bute, Kadina and Moonta. [^]
It was an early start on a cold winter day. The temperature hovered around 8-11 degrees for most of the day but that didn't hinder us, at least it was dry. We had a fun day driving some great country roads and tracks and found a great assortment of caches in some pretty cool spots.
A quick find after we stopped on our way in to Snowtown.
Thanks for the cache Tk2.

Today was a mighty fine day. A Jams crew day albeit depleted today it was just Allisterw, JJ52 and I so we logged using our individual caching names rather than as Jams.
We made a canny plan to head up the highway to Lochiel, Snowtown and then via Bute to Moonta. Lots of caches found including several ‘bastard’ nanos (eagle eyed Allister was the nano king today). Lots of historical buildings, a monster, the beach, a wedding, a bomb, tractors and many ‘welcome to’ signs. Lots of ‘bastard’ cacti but we seemed to win more of those than we lost which was a definite bonus. Only one dnf for the day.
70 caches visited and Allisterw top scored with 69 finds.
It was very chilly all day but no rain so no complaints.
Thanks to the many COs for contributing to our day out and big thanks to my pals for the laughs and Allí for driving.
quick find and sign here TFTC Tk2

I’m lucky enough to travel for work and today finds me in South Australia.
After landing, my workmate and I made our way to Whyalla with obviously a few stops on the way. Needless to say my mate learnt about geocaching.
Heard the story and happy to make a quick park and grab here.
Many thanks to Tk2 for placing and maintaining Letts start winning. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Travelling north for work and the phone rang so pulled off the road to take the call. While on the call managed to check the map and wow, there was a cache. So while talking on the phone wandered over to GZ and started searching. GPS had me waltzing around a bit but soon spotted that little something that indicated the cache location. Extracted the log, signed and replaced. Phone call finished and back to the car to continue the journey.

The final day of the year, and a great sunny day too. On holiday in the area so whatever better holiday activity is there than geocaching? which is exactly what I was doing today. A good find here.

TFTC. Out night caching with geowife KBKL. Bit cool at this time of year. Lid cracked but no water damage.
Nice quick stop on our way to snow town. Lid is broken but log is still dry but don't know for how long. TFTC
Miss GG and myself were on our way to Port Lincoln for a mini camping holiday, and we decided to break up the long drive and grab some caches on the way.
We hand picked all the caches this time on our way over and the caches that we did in Port Lincoln as its quite over whelming arriving at a new location with so many caches.. at the end of the day we use caching to make the drive to a location more interesting and not to do every single cache in the town.. as that will be no holiday at all. Gotta leave some for the next trip right?
Please forgive us for a generic log, as we are logging days after doing these caches, We enjoy the challenge of every cache and we try to put custom comments on the ones we remember.
Today was a win for us as we found the cache... so we are now winning
Thanks for the cache Tk2.
Until next time - First thing you know I'll be back in Bow River again

We found it! We left Port Augusta caravan in tow headed to Port Wakefield enroute to the SA Mega event. We were trying to find as many of the geocaches along the way as we thought we could stop at with the caravan. This was one of our success stories.
Not much of the racing track left these days, what a shame.
Great to met you at the Oh No I'm Hiding cache - will look out for you and your big tractor at the event

A bout of Mondayitis inspired Mr M to go caching with Mrs M and a visiting Mogni. A trip to the Mid North was hastily planned. Snowtown recorded the highest windgust in 8 years... and we were probably retrieving a cache at that time. A great day was had despite the weather.
What a great story. TFTC Tk2.

Firstly I need to apologise for the largely generic log.
A friend was in town and wanted a trip north, I had some leave so a short road trip was thought to be a good idea. As we are both cachers, a few caches were definitely in order. We cached on four of the five days away. The last day we needed to get back to town so we had to use discipline and drove past all of the caches on the way home.
Day one. Adelaide to Port Augusta. 26 finds, 1 DNF.
Day two. Port Augusta to Coober Pedy. 10 finds, 1 DNF.
Day Three. Coober Pedy. 8 finds and Ill see what happens with the Earth Cache.
Day Four. Coober Pedy to Woomera, Roxby Downs and Andamooka. 9 finds. Left a lot for next time.
Day Five. Straight back to Adelaide. No caching.
All in all a fun trip that was more than just caching but caching was a fun part of the trip.
19 June 2013.
Letts start winning.
12 of 26 for the day and 12 of 53 for the trip.
