like the previous log had said there is still campers in the area so we didn't even start looking for this one.

This is the first time in over 2 years of geocaching that I can honestly say that I didn't want to look for a cache because I felt unsafe. We had stumbled upon some ?illegal campers and there was just so much rubbish and toilet paper lying around. We tried to sneak around the campsite to look for the cache but it appeared that GZ was just too close to their campfire (I suspect also illegal) that we just gave up, tried not to make eye contact and bolted out of the place. Probably won't ever bother again looking for this one.

First time I have visited this spot and was most suitably impressed. Many campers and day trippers about, however, none too interested in what I was up to. The cache on the egg beckons, may have to get the kayak out of the shed.. thanks..!!

A couple of interstate campervans nearby gave us no problem as we admired the view of the Egg. Accurate coordinates = quick find = happy cachers. Tempted by the nearby T4.5 but forgot the water wings. [Blue]Find # 1887. Thanks for the cache flange_1&tribe Smile TNLN.[/Blue]

We met some muggle friends at the entrance by chance and went in together. Bumped into a big group of campers from Western Australia that we had seen a couple of days ago at Lagoon Bay. Luckily they were not in sight of the cache. A quick find while we explained to our interested friends what it was all about. The kids went diwn y o the water for a play and a splash. TFTC

Day 7 of our escape from the NT trip, seeking some relief from the tropical build up

We thought that this looked like a nice tight little cluster of caches we could grab quickly. Not quite so tight as we thought though with that bridge out.

Hi flange 1&tribe

Today was the second day of a two caching expedition with Budgietas and Cheesy Pigs. Yesterday was fine and just what you want for caching. However, today we woke only to find the weather conditions totally the opposit of yesterday - pouring with rain. Not good for caching and not even good for the ducks!
Yesterday, I left Huonville at 0700hrs, met up with the two other finders and left for Launceston about 0900hrs. Today, left Western Junction round 0645hrs and went for breakfast at Maccas. Cached all day and got back to Huonville on the first of November at 2340hrs. A great trip and I extend my thanks to Budgie and Cheesy for making it a memorable couple of days. Thanks to CraigRat for organising the event on the 31st of October.

This cache was my 10th for the day:
This was a great hide. The views were very good here. The island just off shore is certainly different to the Egg Island I know at Franklin. Thank you!
The weather is now being kinder to us than it was earlier this morning.
The cache was found, the log signed and container returned to its hide at 0908hrs.
From here it was off to find "Batman Ahead."

Day two had me find fifty-one caches, yesterdays caching produced fourty-one finds for me, total of 92 for the entire trip. I got a personal best for finds in a day again today and I think Cheesy set new one again today too.

Thanks for the cache
Cheers OldSaint.

26-Aug-12
Returned in daylight this time for another attempt.
Things have changed since our visit last week. GZ looks like a herd of elephants has been through it. I see there's no DNF logged but someone has been looking hard for this cache.
The trampling made this a quick find for us, no vegetation to hide anything and good co-ordinates!
We left the Catch and Release-Bass TB, took a ball and left a lion.

17-Aug-12
Had a go at this one in the dark last night whilst grabbing a nearby GCA frog. Found a rock in the right place but all it had under it was a tea bag! All the other rocks appeared to be part of the scenery.
This wasn't a planned trip so we had flat batteries in the torch, and the GPS, which didn't help the search, however a quick hunt was made in the vicinity before the torch expired, leaving us finding our way back to the car in the dark.
Obviously another visit required, in daylight next time!

Will have to have another go when the fishermuggles aren't so busy. Today is a public hol so that's probably the reason. Grass very long and dry, hot day and a bit afraid of slithering reptiles.

31-Oct-11
Today's caching adventure took me on these most scenic drives, firstly north along the east coast, then south down the west coast of the Tamar. What a lovely drive, beautiful day, beautiful scenery, gardens in full bloom, a wonderful afternoon - and no DNFs! Big Grin
Another picturesque spot with yet a different outlook to the Tamar. Lovely views across to the island - will have to get over there one day with a suitable craft to get the cache on it! There were a few vacant cars and 2 fishermuggles some distance away so was able to search undetected.
Thanks for the hunt flange 1&tribe.

Out on our Sunday drive, Nowhere2Bseen set off to find this one while I waited in the GeoUte with Nowhere Jnr who was very much in the land of nod. 1 set of muggles wandered past... oh no I thought, where is he?? Then another set wandered past, and the next thing I knew Nowhere2Bseen was on his way back, grinning happily, a little black box in his hand Smile. We signed the log while another set of muggles wandered past (busy area!), and off Nowhere2Bseen went to place it carefully back. TFTC.

10-Apr-11
A quick look around and I found some rocks... Found the cache and returned to MissyLJ waiting in the car with a very asleep Jnr Nowhere. We signed the log and went through the bits in the cache and then I returned the cache back to its hiding spot, just in time too... A couple and their furry companion happened along near GZ.
Nice spot... TFTC Smile

There were a few 'Clean-up Australia Day' muggles around and hoping they made it to this area....way too much rubbish for us to take away. The tree near the cache has also been attacked, probably for fire wood. SL TNLN TFTC
