Up in the Cairns area for a week and decided to do some caching too! Well, GZ was at a base of what use to be a tree with rocks around it and we searched for a while but no trace of a cache.

Don't get it. Nothing obvious at GZ and thought from the description that the hint would be a dead giveaway. Not so. The only plausible place was in the opposite direction and only full of empty beer bottles. DNF from us.
It was obvious where the cache was meant to be but it appears to be gone. Perhaps a quick check by the owner please.
Very cold windy day so no muggles around - easy find (someone left a smelly crab shell so hands stunk all afternoon). I took bracelet and left a cow.
found quite easily, very very windy afternoon and was very cold but beautiful view and good hide. Took bracelet and left cow
I decided to take a quick detour to this one. We followed a car in and I thought our possibilities of the find were fast going to be limited. But thankfully after a pause, the car moved on. My GPSr didn't point me to the cache straight away - but I spotted something that matched the hint. Sure enough, the cache was found safe and sound. I grabbed the trackable I found in the cache to move it along. I had a heck of a time arranging the cover - but did a good job in the end. TFTC The hunter1
Muggles came from no where. Lucky we had cache kids on hand to replace. Took keyring. Left figurine. Left TB that we'd forgot we had.
This took a while, despite seeing exactly what we were after; had to wait for a muggle nearby to move on before swooping. Awesome views! TFTC
12.10pm. Our second visit to Mission Beach but first here to the lookout. Easy find.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

Brahms6 found this one on a lovely morning at Mission. TFTC and thanks for the view.
It wasn't a difficult find, but the view was more than worth it. In between the showers it's always nice to look for a cache and thereby discover places you wouldn't visit otherwise. TFTC!
Warren (Wazza&Kara)found it straight away within 15 seconds. Before I stepped out he had already the cache in his hands! The view is magnificent.[^]

A very snappy cache find.
I'm not sure if Walter was just taking his time getting out of the car or what, but I had the cache in hand before his feet had touch the ground.
From memory Walter discovered a neat little trackable in this cache which he was keen to continue on its journey via one of his high altitude caches.
We left a pen in the cache to assist the next finder record their visit.

Im Team >jama&flipjoe< geloggt. Da wir nun getrennte Accounts haben logge ich den Cache erneut mit meinem Account >hannejama< Danke für das Verständnis und für den Cache
Sadly, the logbook is very damp and mould is beginning. We didn't put it in a ziplock bog in case that just made it sweat. Suggest a new logbook in a bag.
Found at 4.00 pm after lunch and a pleasant walk. Yes, we didn't drive to it, but left the vehicle in the carpark on the edge of Mission Beach and walked out to the point, we aren't after drive-by's and records. Rewarded with a great outlook, even saw a couple of whales in the distance! Also could see a fire, which is not good at all.TNLNSL Many thanks for taking us out there, away from the holidaymaker haunts, The_hunter1.
Lovely look out =) Easy find, log book very wet. I came here over a year ago before I knew about geocaching =P Found with my friend Gemma.

Been a long time since I have been on the site. Thanks to the recent reports I am happy to enable 'straight to the point' I was also down mission beach way last weekend and quickly checked on the cache and it was all in good order.

W e hadn't realised until tonight that this one was offline. Hey hunter1, you need to reactivate this one quickly. Before it ends up being archived. The cache is a tiny bit wet but it is a great spot and well worth the look. The GPS was sending me all over the the place but eventually we spotted a likely spot and there it was. TFTC
This cache is alive and healthy. Thanks for bringing us to this great viewing point. Nice easy find. Checked on it for Hunter after seeing it supposedly had problems while up this way doing maintenance on own caches. Like I said..its in good shape. Thanks again
Real easy find reading direct from the GPS. Co-ordinates are spot on Great spot, great view. Thanks for the find. Hope you can keep this one going. Happy cacheing
Be back as soon as the cache has been checked for damage or even if there at all.

12:00 - What a beautiful day at a stunning point ... cannot beat TFNQ on such days. been to this point b4, now we can come with a purpose. content a little wet, probably condensation. +/-0. T4TC.
On our way to Cairns decided to enroute to Mission Beach to grab this cache. As I had previously found all Mission beach caches I just had to have all the smileys for this area again.
Wow what a lovely spot for a cache and it falls under the if it wasn't for caching I wouldn't know it existed quote. Thanks for placing a cache here I love the view.

Beautyful lookout point, wonderful Mangrove area and easy find (well - had to wait quite a while for all Muggles to leave . TFTC, TNLN. Greetings from Malo-Hunters Germany.

A really nice spot! We would never have thought driving up here - we were a bit surprised by the very obvious hide... It is so in full view; is this muggle-safe?!

After a nice swimm, shopping and lunch, the afternoon was made perfect with a cache found. TFTC
Found with the family under a full moons light on a great warm night, what a brilliant town Mission Beach is, although we were only there for one night, it would have been nice to stay here longer, we even saw the R.O from Sea Patrol!

we took some very nice photos, thanks a lot!!
we took some very nice photos, thanks a lot!!
With this cache we found the best view to this area, that we would habe passed without knowing. So thanks a lot for showing!!!
It was quite a windy day and a few muggles about, just when we had it in hand one of them asked if we wanted our picture taken as they thought the GPS was a camera we quickly got the camera out of the car and pretended to be admiring the view. I had to distract them with a passing sea eagle in order for K2 to put it back.TFTH
Thanks for dragging me out here, I've been to Mission many times but never knew about this place, Fantastic views. TFTC
Great views. Thank you for the cache and the location. Took pencil sharpener to make room for Wilhemina Wombat TB.
Nice easy find - a quick cache n' dash .

Was startled by a cane toad leaping out as I reached for the cache. Even though it was a drizzly morning the views were very nice and well worth the short detour. Logged after returning home to NZ - we had a wonderful holiday in this part of Queensland.
Have not been here before so was a pleasure to find this guy and upset a local who was living on top of the cache. Thanks for placing this cache.
Arrived, checked out the view, checked out the cache then made coffee and sat on the seat to enjoy the overcast view, but were chased back inside the motorhome due to rain SL TNLN TFTC
Stayed at the ECO Village Resort last year on Clump Point so I knew roughly where the cache would be. Great location even though it was cold windy and wet. SLNLN TFTC
Hippie van with two muggles parked right in front of GZ, reading newspapers and clearly there for the long haul. We stood and looked at the view while coming up with stealth plan. Mum and Dad positioned in front of hippie van to block view while one child went to 'play' and retrieve the cache. Went back to our car and swapped some goodies then returned with our camera to look like taking photos, while cache was returned to it's hiding place. Kept an eye on the muggles but they didn't look up from their newspapers. Thanks hunter1!
Arrived at GZ to peace and quiet. Found cache easily but no sign ot the T/B. No pencil in cache so borrowed one from sight seeing arrival. sorry - didn't have one to leave. TNLN and TFTC
THANKS, NEEDS A NEW PENCIL, AND NO SIGN OF THE TAG

Found after three visits to the lookout. The first time, I hadn't checked the GPS and didn't realise there was a cache there. Quick U-turn and back, just in time to find several carloads of muggles, enjoying the view and a few stubbies. I sussed the place out ready for a return visit, as the couple nearest the hide obviously had no intention of leaving any time soon. Went back today and the coast was clear just long enough for me to make a quick grab and replace the cache just in time, as another two carloads arrived as I reached my vehicle. Certainly a great view of the area. Many thanks for the cache, The_hunter1.
Found by Kasper in 5 sec FLAT - very windy but nice view. TN left danish coins. TFTC.
Found this one while enjoying some lunch, a gr8 spot to stop and stretch. T: TB L:TB TFTC SL
Corikra used her stealth skills to replace the cache after a couple of muggles appeared and didn't seem to want to leave.

We almost drove right up to it. My GPS said I had to scramble down the hill for another 12 metres, but when I got out of the car it pointed 2 metres to the left. You could say it was a DIDO, except for the muggle couple that made replacing it (we had taken the container into the car) a little difficult.

FTF We saw this cache located very close to the place where we were staying in Mission Beach and decided to check it out, without knowing it was a new cache. We will take the two trackables back to Townsville
