Over the last couple of months, in between caching adventures further afield, we've slowly been working on tracking down most of the caches near to home in the Kingston and Blackmans Bay area. Today we set out to spend a couple of hours finding most of the remaining ones.
In all, we found five traditional caches and two puzzle caches, with no DNFs. This was our fifth cache of the day.
We'd previously come up empty searching for this cache. While we were confident we were in the right spot, we simply couldn't find the cache itself. We had to abandon the attempt relatively early, due to the large number of muggles passing by.
Since then, we've accumulated a great deal more caching experience, and have come across a variety of different kinds of camouflage. One cache in particular (GC74ZW6, "Framlingham reflection") proved invaluable in tracking down this cache, allowing us to find it in under 10 seconds on this attempt.
The log's in pretty poor condition, unfortunately, with most of the previous logs now illegible. Might be worth replacing sooner rather than later.
All in all, a quite devious hide, and an interesting challenge!
TFTC!

Greetings from Seattle.
I drove by the GZ twice looking for some sort of war memorial so that I could find parking. I gave up on finding a visual cue that made sense, parked nearby and walked to the GZ. Then, across the street, I had my "ah ha" moment for the name of the cache.
This is definitely a high muggle area, but I think searching at night helped. I intermittently used my flashlight, but don't think I attracted any attention.
Fortunately, I have a very similar hide at home, so once my feet where in the right spot then I soon had the cache in hand and ink on the log.

It was hard to find as it was on the ground anyway this is our second cache so yay!!
We left our pen in the car... doh!
We found it, in the bushes, and put it back where it belongs. If it was where it belonged, it would have been an excellent hide and hard find. Thanks!

Hi there Stumbleduponit.
We found your cache **"Reflect on fallen hero's"** at 9:47:00 L today. (This makes our grand total 18761).
Today we headed to Kingston to log a few caches between showers. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. Our cache count was 5 caches today, with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Second time lucky! So obvious, but so hard to see. Found by Geoson with his sensitive little fingers. A very cunning cache. Tftc
Been mening to grab this for a while. Was exactly where I expected and was quick and easy. Tftc! Sl.
Quick easy find at night, clever hide, haven't seen any quite like this before. TFTC
Was stumped for quite a while but a look through the logs provided the hint we needed to find it. Came past today to sign the log as I didn't have a pen the other day. TFTC
After reaching the GZ we looked for a while for this cache. We nearly gave up but luckily RedTag was looking after that cache, so he pointed us in the right direction. TFTC! And thanks RedTag for the help.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying in Campania but with a planned trip to Launceston tomorrow we had to do head to Kingston today for a Gnomescapade [:X]
We managed to find your cache while here. We replaced the old mushy log whilst here. New log is waterproof paper so should last a while.

Nice quick find, good hiding spot, TFTC
We're on a six month stay here from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley
On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we have a whole island of caching fun ahead of us!

Out and about caching with Ninjawolf and LRS
Found with our caching eyes firmly in place. Log VERY wet but managed to sign it anyway. TFTC

Sneaky cache, reasonably quick find. Log needs urgent replacement as it is very wet.
Found with TazScout and NinjaWolf.

We took advantage of today's show day holiday to park in the vet's empty car park and walk the few meters to GZ. It didn't take long to spot it once there but as previously mentioned, the logbook is too sodden to sign. We placed our sticker on it nonetheless but it's just going to disintegrate. Some long-distance reflection then back on our day trip. TFTC, Stumbleduponit. =^.^=
This is 5 of 6 caches found on a stroll from Huntingfield to Kingston this morning.
Am logging this online, but not signed a log, as the paper in the 'cache' is very wet, and cannot be extracted. Not sure if there should be more of a log there, but will message the owner separately.
Nice hide though; thanks for it.

Hi we think we found where this one was meant to be - but is it missing? All the best!
Well I'll be. Looked for this one before but couldn't find, no matter where we looked. Only found by inquisitive fingers by Mr T jr. Very clever. TFTC
This one nearly had us stumped, we had just about given up when suzannebones noticed the hiding spot of this very clever cache. Judging by a previous log I think I now I have an idea of where to search for a certain 'obvious' cache, just have to find the time to get back there.
The log was quite full but I found an empty spot near the top to sign my name, although I think I may have written 13th rather than 14th oops
Thanks Stumbleduponit for the cache.

This one took us a few minutes to spot due to the gps jumping about to start with but when it made up its mind this was a easy find.
Thanks for the cache.

the first of 10 for us in the Kingston area this afternoon. A clever hide but spotted after a quick search around. TFTC
Found 28/12/13 . GPS to 1 metre and a quick and easy find having seen this type of cache before. Managed to sign the log but it is definitely full now.
Took a while to find walking back and forth along the wall. Such a sneaky find! I always have a smile when I drive past now.
Muggles nearby, pretended to make. Phone call while retrieving the cache and moved across the road to sign. Replaced cache and moved on without anyone having a clue. Quite obvious if you've every been to Campbell Town. TFTC.
Very sneaky! TFTC

Was passing by on the way home after dinner with relatives, and decided to quickly grab this cache, seeing that the memorial was well lit (it was 8.30pm). It was then that I realised that the cache was on the opposite (and dark) side of the road, but when I got to GZ I saw a familiar object so quickly had CIH. TFTC!
Didn't find it. It was a nice warm sunny afternoon. The GPS said it was in the construction behind the vet's office. We didn't believe it and were looking all over the place. It didn't help our feeling of competency when there was a car sitting across the street in front of the memorial. Then the vet showed up followed shortly by the car leaving. As we left the vet left too. Maybe we'll try for a different time of day the next time we try it.
A nice hide, some maybe confused between the 2 VET, if you know what we mean!!. tftc
I've looked for this in passing before with no luck but yesterday my son wanted to visit the war memorial (he's been learning about ANZAC Day at school) so I took the chance to have another go, and spotted it almost instantly! Didn't have a pen so popped back to sign it this morning on my way to work.. Great hide, will make me smile every time I go past! TFTC
We continued our walk around Kingston. My pen worked briefly, so my log isn't crystal clear. TFTC - nice hide!
Nup didn't have a clue

If it was on the sign it needs to be checked because there is construction going on
