Down from Auckland to claim the last 2 Geotour caches and to pick up a heap of others for a challenge I’m working on. Not only that, I’m working towards my 8000th cache, oh where will it land I wonder??
Checked most pine trees near GZ (nothing at GZ) in a 20m radius. If the cache is in that bigger pine up on the hill with the gorse, it can stay there..lol. Gorgeous views from up here though.

A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches up this way. Easy find on to the next one TFTC
Thanks have just been walking in Trotters Gorge on the way home so stopped to pick this up. Also two bags of rubbish someone dumped. I left it in the bins in Palmerston except the bottles which I will recycle.
Quick detour up here on the way to Geraldine. Glad to finally turn this frown upside down nice quick find but a bit windy up here. Was lovely seeing the daffodils and lambs on the way up...spring is definitely here! TFTC

No luck here today. GPS had me down below and the bank had been graded and wasn't keen on going up the steep slope into the gorse. Messaged the CO and after I had left got a reply which indicated perhaps I should have gone higher? Will be back next time in the area for another look!
Working nearby building pivots and staying in Hamden all week so the plan was to do some of trotters gorge tracks after work but rain put the end to that so a drive round the block was plan B quick find tftc
The car KiwiChris and I were passengers in pulled over and we were told that there was a cache so many metres away and given the hint. Off I paced and stopped after the required metre paces. From there I saw the cache a few more metres away and we both signed it. Daywalk arrived and said that it was in the wrong place and placed it where it should have been. A very clever hiding place. One that would have had me scratching my head.
Thanks to daywalk for putting me on to that one as it was out of the search area of the PQ that I had set up. As i_got has said, container was in full view, but luckily daywalk knew where it should have been and replaced it. I wonder if the recent string winds had something to do with the displacement.

We did this when we visited NZ in Feb/Mar 2015, thanks for this! Kind regards from Australia.
The roadside has been completely cleared of all bush and gorse and any vegetation so it took a while to work out where the cache could be. Whiskasnz found it - cunning! TFTC
We stopped at the top and dakotacats said "I wonder if there is a cache here". We looked at the GPS and there was one 20 meters away! And yep I found it. Nice hiding place. TFTC
Nice hide, and nice way to end my day on the trott.
Thanks drawp for bringing me here.

Our first cache of the day heading to the gorge to collect a few caches on a really nice warm, windless day. Great views and after searching many obvious spots decided to look at some bullet graffiti and there it was TFTC
PC Sniff said "Oh it will be in that flax" so I put a great deal of energy into searching the flax. He helped me for a while, then went of searching elsewhere, and picked this one up as I was busy moaning about the gorse scratches. Thanks for this cache that tempted us along the length of this road. Such stunning views.
Heading in to Trotters Gorge to collect a few and picked this one up on the way. Enjoyed the stop, eating a pie in the sun. #446
Very clever hiding place also good views. Took geocoin and left geocoin. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Made a point of admiring the view while a couple of cars zoomed past us. Found with debsnz
9.50am. Took the side road through Trotters Gorge for the first time. Clever name and hint for this one. Left a TB.

Thought we should find a few more caches just in case the world is ending. Geodaughter home for holidays so decided to come as see what its all about and have a family trip. TFTC
A nearby parking area was helpful as I made a quick search for the cache. Road signs suggested I was in a likely spot on this, the highest part of the Horse Range road. A bit of scrambling up the bank and a scan of the area eventually turned up my quarry. A neat hide drawp. wd.
16/24 for the day, out with the johnnygoescaching crew. It was shortly after this that our mascot steve was finally lost for good. Its only so long that you can hold on to a wiper blade for...
One of 26 caches found today while out on a school geocacing trip. TFTC.

Nice hide! Someone has tried to assassinate the cache, but luckily missed. And what a view!
Papa and Granville on a North Otago caching trip. Clever hide but a quick find nonetheless. Salamat!
Really wanted to go to the Trotters Gorge Scenic Reserve but the road in was flooded by water flowing very fast and wasn't prepared to try cross it in our 4x4 so we headed on up the road to this cache and took some awesome pics along the way.. Thanks for the cache...
A quick found on out way to the doc camp where we spend the night. Nice place to hide

A nice wee hide, and find by Moneydork. Glad there was parking nearby. Cheers Gav [6572]
I got a few gorse splinters searching for this one! Cunningly hidden. Good job! Left the Austrian Globetrotter. TFTC
The homeward leg of my caching binge trip to Hampden. A quick stop and a nice clever hide for cache #499. TFTC!
Last cache of the weekend, as the other caches in the area are out of limits due to a closed road. TFTC
Our 2nd last cache for the day of caching in N Otago.
Getting a bit cold and dark by this time.
Nice hide.
The container was wet inside but the log was dry in its plastic bag.

Nice easy find, knew just where to look. Yup, nearly got busted, did suspect fellow cachers when they turned around at the bottom of the hill!
1530hrs Given the clues where else could it possibly be. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Nice drive up past Trotters Gorge. Neat hide too, dropped in Ermintruede a travelling cow!
Only one place it was going to be! I love this road and often use it rather than the tedious drag around past Shag Point and Katiki Beach, especially if I'm on the bike.
Wahoo found this as I were heading to Dunedin, spotted it lying on the ground as we drove past, and that was before it was on the site.
Thanks Bitsprayer

Driving along heading South when Bitsprayer let out a shout so a quick stop followed as we raced across to sign the log.
