We stopped to check on this one while in Hoki today and it is gone AGAIN!!
As the council now have plans to move the wheelbarrow to the beachfront we have decided not to replace the cache. Thanks to all those who have sought it and to the original hiders Angie & Ron.

A nice and quick find NOT. I would certainly up the difficulty here, at least a 2. Spent ages looking and got a wig in my eye for trying (I can still see so all is ok) . I was not going to let this one beat me again and eventually came up with a result. Phew, thats Hokitika cleared out! Cheers.
Today was a day spent in and around Hokitika, with the weather mostly overcast, and only a wee bit of rain later in the day. Had a great time on some walks, and finding some puzzles and multis.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Mum checked this after the DNF. Yep its still there. Dont know how you missed it Tufty
I looked and looked but all to no avail. I found a colourful rock with Hoki Rocks written on it.
Mum came to check this today after the comment about 2 containers. Thats really weird and was definitely one of our old replacements though who knows where its been in the interrum. Old removed and the newer replacement left. All good here. Happy Caching
Today's program for me and six fellow travellors was to ride by bicycle along the Kaniere River to the Kaniere Lake and back to Hokitika. It was a great ride - but unfortunately on the best part (the gravel road along the lake) it rains.
On the back tour I stopped at this cache and found it easily!
Thanks!

Out on a bike ride. We found both containers - the old and the new! - and rationalised them Interesting information sign - thank you for bringing us here.
Beautiful sunny day today, spent quite a while looking and then suddenly there it was in plain view (although out of sight of the muggles). TFTC
Day 4 Hokitiki - Lake Paringa
No luck today, it was rainning but we felt we had a good look as a excellent hint was given
Thanks for placing this cache gracie7 + Mum

Daughter found after short look, can’t see any other findings written since replaced in January though

We have tried alot of different types of replacement containers on the actual barrow but kids enjoy seeking them out too much it seems. Then should be a more permanent location.

We called in on the way to the Mahinapua walkway to check on it after the DNF and its gone AGAIN! We really wanted to keep it as originally hidden for the original COs but that is no longer possible. Instead of archiving it we moved it.
Day two of a three-day geocaching extravaganza with Taybeedragon. Could not find this before, and could not find it again. We were fairly sure that although it had been replaced, it was missing again, and was going to report that, but I see the CO has already confirmed it and put in a replacement further away.
I guess we'll be back!

Mum put a replacement container here today. All good to go again.

GZ scanned for a possible replacement but we didnt have what we needed on us today. Mum will replaced the cache within the next day or two and I will re-enable it then.
Mum checked on this today and it was indeed missing and in place of the cache was a nerf bullet. It looks like kids have favoured this spot. So it will need re-accessing soon.
Given that the cache has been recently replaced we spent a very long time here. Alas, I think it has gone already.
Huge wheelbarrow. Had to leave before kids got cranky. Looked for a while though. Must be a good spot.
In Hokitika today for a cache maintence run. The ground is very soggy but everything is fine here. Happy Caching
Hideeho Thanks for the cache:) Greetings from the USA! Touring New Zealand and stopping for cache. My Main Man ran out and found this for me while I finished packing up. He really liked this one.
Enjoyed this little hide and chuckled at the "barrow." Fellow cachers might like to know it is no longer a magnetic nano and it does not need tweezers to get the cache out. A fun find even though it was absolutely teeming . Thanks.
Catching up with logs for 2 June . Out with paul@w for a stroll and a nice find. TFTC
That barrow would take some pushing!
We circled it carefully and were on the point of accepting it was going to be a DNF when on the final circuit Hazedarus spotted something a little bit out of place and then just a few seconds later we were signing the log.
Thank you no.13.

How lucky we were to have the cache maintenance done the day before. This hide should last for a while we think. We were ready to give up and post a DNF before circling GZ one more time and spotting something a bit out of place. +1 Thank you Gracie7 + Mum
Yes it was gone. We replaced it again - A little bit better this time (hopefully) and we will see how this one goes.
Oops - Totally forgot to enable this again. We went on a Hoki maintenance run on Jan 14th and we replaced it then. However since it has a DNF we will check on it again.
Wasn't sure if cache was back in action. We had a very good look, found a very likely place, maybe evidence left of where it might have been? But no cache. Shame, its such a fun cache site.
[red]Mum checked on this one while in Hokitika today and there was no sign of it.
Hopefully it will be back in action soon.

A very tiny object placed on a very big object with no specific hint? Nope... spent 5 minutes here, and decided it wasn't worth it. Nice to see the barrow though.. it looks like it could need a big hand or 2 soon..

6771. That is a large barrow! Out for the day geocaching from our base in Kumara to Lake Kaniere. This was cache number twenty of twenty one for the day. A lovely little spot for a cache, which we have visited several times before. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Quick find but shoes got soaked just getting there. Found with Becsicasa, all about that cache and Biartch79. Tftc
One of many found today making our way from hokitika to fox glacier with Becsicasa Gonna Cache Em All and Biartch79.

It’s road trip time!!!
Heading off to the West Coast to enjoy some sightseeing, geocaching and catch-up-times with some awesome friends from the North Island (allaboutthatcache, gonna cache em all, and Biartch79). Travelling from Punakaiki down to Queenstown, with stop-overs in Hokitika and Fox Glacier, before the trip home to Timaru. Had such an awesome time seeing the sights of our beautiful country. I feel so privileged to call this place “home”.

Nice and easy cache in the rain with becsicasa, Allaboutthatcache and gonnacache'emall
Found it! We really enjoyed our walking tour of Hokitika! After our walk we went for a drive and visited the Lake and stopped for a couple of nearby caches! This was one of them. Muggle Heather found this one quickly! We then tried to push the barrow but it did not budge! TFTC SL Cheers from Pippin69 & the Travelling Muggles from Melbourne!
In Hokitika for a wee family adventure weekend. Heavy heavy rain over night and still a bit drizzley made the ground very very boggy....quick find and sign though with the family joining in the fun (what wee boy doesn't like splashing around??!!). Cheers.
Heading out to cache for the day with my little geobuddies Coco and Milo and Nosynel of course.
No sausage fingers needed here.
Love the rather large barrow. Cheers for showing me a nice wee reserve.

It was just on dark when we found this cache, thanks for bringing us to this spot, we would have missed it otherwise. TFTC
Not quite dark so didn't need the torch just yet, just as well because we had left it behind TFTC
Had to return to computer for more information. Was a slightly hard find but well placed. TFTC
All I want to be is a barrow boy (West Coast) was transferred from no.13 to user gracie7 + Mum
On a maintenance run around Hoki today with our great niece/granddaughter Allyssa (1yrs).
Allyssa loved the giant wheelbarrow and we got some good shots.
The cache was nowhere in sight so we added a new one. Photos will be sent to CO.

Found it a while back, note that there are a few no finds, hope it is still there
We searched and searched for this but couldn't find it, even had another fellow geocacher stop and help
