Had a long search climbing around all ledges moving everything what could be moved. Either very well hidden or gone.
I did not find it either but all I had with me was the clue which says to follow the path, I thought it was the walk up on the cliff ridge and went down on top of that rock opening from there. I did a little bit of rock climbing but did not get to the bottom where I understand now the cache is or was.
The coordinates were indeed pointing to the cliff's edge but I did not go down.
There were people fishing down there.
Cheers.

Found the room at the end of the path. Spent quite some time searching around it and even ventured further off in both directions but no luck finding the cache. No sign of toilet use so the recent rains must have cleaned it up. I did come across 2 bongs though. I'll come back for another search another time. Growing up in Clovelly, I spent a lot of time at "the rocks" here so it was a nice nostalgic trip to come back today.
Pfew, this is a tough one!! Didn't find it at the first go, but will be back for sure!!!
I did find the place. But not cache.
I would like to mention that hygienic in this place is not nice, since someone used it as toilet.
Another hint required.
Otherwise a nice area.

Great little hidden spot, a bit of a rock scramble to get in but nothing too hard. Unfortunatelly I had a good 15 min search but turned up nothing! Oh well. Went snorkeling at Clovelly around the corner though which is fantastic.
Good but no TB D: nice and easy found with some people I am learning in geocaching ways. Thanks for this location with very nice views. Took nothing left a pair of earplugs and a bottle top. TFTC
Look for 10 minutes or so, but we were not successful.
Unfortunately, some corners at the rocks are used as toilets;
hope that the cache is not there.

...concerning the pic "Gordon's Bay Grotto" I've definitely been at the right place at the wrong time (sunbathing muggles) and couldn't search properly ;-(

We've walked by here dozens of times but never ventured down onto the beach. Got to where we thought GZ was but had no luck finding it. Probably not brave enough to stick our hands everywhere. But it was a cool walk and climb and took us somewhere we hadn't been before. Cheeers... Gaztek
Searched until the sun went down without luck... Going back later this week probably to try again earlier in the day.
Searched for ages with fellow cachers with no luck. Pretty area. Smelled like urine though.
This time I came with reinforcements, ie Satanas666, yet we both left with our egos bruised..
We were in the room but had no luck coming up with the goods...maybe another day
Couldn't work out how to access it at first but I saw some muggles walking down, so I ran around, went down and did what the clue suggested and found the cache!!! Fantastic location!! Would award a favourite point had I been a premium member!!!! TFTC TNLN
Found this cache in fading sunlight, Very happy I found this before darkness as I doubt I would've have the energy to make the trip back to the car for the torch...

With the Geo kids in tow, we searched and searched for 30mins...nothing!
We searched high and low but could not come up with the goods...very frustrating, but a great spot.

Had a good search around 2 possible 'rooms'. Will try again another time. Nice location
Six of us were in the "room" searching this afternoon but no luck. Plenty of beer bottles and cans, though... Might try again soon.
Reperio at 1730. Had a look at climbing down from the top, but given that it was too dark to see much, I followed the trail around to the beach and went from there. The walk was much simpler than expected, and as soon as I was in the right spot, the torchlight shone up the cache. A nice little nighttime adventure.

Geodog had to be left behind with Mrs x1048576, but I found it very quickly. Dropped off a Travel Bug we found in the California Desert.
Whew! Finally found it! Searched every cave or rock room I passed and left no rock un-turned. My pearl of wisdom.. stick to the 'path' to the very end.

The most fun I've had finding a cache in a while. Definitely going on my favs list.
Looked high, looked low. Climbed this rock and that. Through that crevice over the top and back again.
Even good sandshoes and ironclad gloves had trouble stopping the slipping on those wet areas.

Fixed up the cache today. New container & moved it closer to the Gordon's bay beach from where you would now access it.

Checked cache, we definitely need to move it. The rocks have collapsed and our hint doesn't make sense any more. We finally got it out it was very wet and the travel bugs were a bit rusted and we put the turtle in a plastic bag and we'll move the travel bugs tommorrow. We'll move the cache down near the beach.
We were seeking and searching and looking for that cache about an hour without success. I'm sure we were at the right place - is the box still there? Nobody logged it to be found since a month ...
Well thankfully I found it. I'd hate to come back for a second attempt. Seriously!
Took a bit of searching but got there in the end.
The cache was well and truly water logged, full, soaked and every other word that describes water egress. The log book has had it to the point the pages are mush.

It's always good fun scrambling over rocks at high tide, after heavy rain and at 38 weeks pregnant, so it was a relief to find this one pretty quickly - and without the hint..... very proud of ourselves! Took the hard way out along the cliff face to the beach, which involved squeezing through a crevice and some pretty hairy leaps of faith. The cache was pretty wet as was the log book - the container doesn't seem too waterproof and with run-off splashing down the cliff face the whole area was very damp. left Squirt the Turtle TB (seemed a fitting spot) and Fireman Oz (not so fitting but we've had him waaaay too long). Wonderful spot for a cache - can recommend the snorkelling here once the weather gets warmer! TFTC.
Great spot for a cache!
Obviously bloody hard if not almost impossible to find without the very good hint which I did use after a few minutes looking.
The log book was quite wet inside the open bag it was in which was doing nothing except keep the water in. I was able to write in the log but the owner might want to check on it.
Thanks.

Had trouble with my GPS today, kept crashing. Hope its not the new update from iphone becuase the other features look great. Walked all the way round to beach which was little dicey at times, but my rock climbing skills served me well. Lovely day and great cache to give me an excuse to get amongst it. Will come back another time with my other gps.
Sunny day, so I tried to find this cache. After 15minutes in GZ I used hint and then it was easy (: T4TC! TNLN
Pendlebury and Baz. Found @ 2225. Glad to get this one done after so many DNFs, including myself. New hint very helpful. So many options first time round. I have had trouble with a similar rock type cache down in Maruya. TFTC HenryCP. Great hide, Great location. TNLNSL.
Not sure why so many DNFs. It is hard (lots of crevices), but we didn't think it was that hard. (As far as the ratings are concerned, we just used the rating tool provided on this site). We were worried the coords might be a bit off or the cliff line was interferring with GPS, but we just checked & found GZ easily enough - it must be the crevices. So we've added more info to the hints, but if this does not help we will add some photos. We also moved the cache slightly so its not so deep. Have fun!
Cache was still there moved it a little so it is easier and changing the cache site soon.
Arrived close to where GZ would have been and decided 8 x DNF's is enough, we'll add our DNF after we've had a decent search. This time just going by, could HenryCP please confirm for us and other would be searchers that the cache is still in situ before we waste our time searching please.
3/4.5 stars are very appealing but the 4.5 terrain suggests the cache is up the cliff line a little, anyway just my thoughts - confirmation would be great incentive for a search.

Searched for around an hour but had to leave because we were running out of light. way too many crevices to look in
There at sunrise. Bit optimistic I guess but you never know.
Enjoyed the scramble tho sporting a few grazes and cuts - lovely sunrise amongst the storm clouds.
That was the good bit... guess there are about 100 odd places to look and guess I covered 99 odd places to look...must be in the last place.
Even with the clue, the second part had me stumped.
Back at work now - after shower and breaky..feeling good but it was hard.
Look forward to the FTF...they would have earned it.

We were down this way for some unfinished cache business and thought to have a crack at this one whilst passing, although given the previous DNF's our expectations were low. Lovely spot and quite easy to rock hop along to GZ. Alas, although we had a very good look for close to an hour no cache could we find. Burrowed down every likely crevice we could find but to no avail. Oh well - that's how it goes sometimes.
Nope, went back there at low tide with the whole Snoopy clan and still couldn't find it.
All we found lodged between the crevices were old rusty car parts, shoes and plastic bottles.
Took what we could to stop more of it joining that great garbage patch in the Pacific and resigned ourselves that this FTF was not meant to be.
We'll be back when someone does post a find or a little hint.
HenryCP I have a hunch you're a lot more daring/ lithe than this bunch
cheers, Snoopy12345

Beautiful day for it but we unfortunately picked the wrong time and the big swell combined with high tide was a bit scary for 8yo Snoopy.
We had a lovely scramble about the rocks though and got as far as the "crumbly shale".
We'll come back when it's a little calmer.
TFTH HenryCP
ps. we did manage to find nearby Varna Pk today

Well we spent a fair bit of time here tring to locate this cache. Took some time for the GPSr to settle down but when it did, it was rock solid.
Unfortunately no cache could be found. Lots and lots and lots of possible hides and having been startled a number of times in the past with rodents leaping out at other caches, I aint gonna poke my hand in blindly anymore.
I will leave this one up to others to find (unless a better hint is forthcoming).
My first SCUBA dive was here back in the 70's. A great 50' deep channel leads from the south side of 'Thompsons Bay' (never knew it as Gordon's Bay) right around to the Clovelly pool.

I had a good look thismorning at the GZ. I come to Gordons often so was nice to see a new cache spring up here. TFTS HenryCP. I suspect I should have kept it simple. No nudists today at 0730. Will be back
Had to give this a miss this afternoon, with four nudist sunbathing at GZ, a man in a suit hunting around the rocks would have looked a bit suspicious. Even for an FTF it was not worth it.
