Tftf- lovely to see some international currency in there! We left a little hello kitty bandaid in there for any travellers with little kiddies
13:58The 'might', or should we say the mystery of the Macedon Ranges. We spent a great day working on changing the green icons on our map to bright smiling faces. No eagles but some fabulous views. Our thanks to 'stagetree' for adding this cache to the.geo-gameboard.38119*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
After GT37 and OHC and myself had completed the ad lab, this was our next cache. It wasn't clear today but the view was expansive and still great to see. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
I decided to come up here for a few bits and bobs while on the way home from today's walk. Once at GZ, I soon had the cache in hand and signed the log at 15:25 while enjoying the fantastic view out to the west. All that pretty much adds up to a fave point from me. TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks stagetree and elthamkiwi.
Massively overthought this one and ended up half way down the mountain. Was obvious in hindsight! Very windy day not terrific views. TFTC!
Notta lotta view at 10.30 on a foggy night, but still got the heart rate up and the legs burning on return trip. Tftc.
Very nice road up the mountain - would be even better in the dry. Found the path to the lookout but werent entirely sure it wasnt a creek. Found the lookout and the cache easily enough - all we could see was mist and cloud though. Would be a speccy spot in different weather. Thanks for the excuse to bring us up here while on holiday from Tasmania. TFTC
We certainly didn't have a view today, eagle's or otherwise. It was completely fogged in and drizzling. Nice walk nonetheless and we could imagine the spectacular view that might be there in better conditions. Left a 1946 halfpenny. TFTC.
Ah yes, no eagle glory today - we unfortunately had the inside of the cloud you mentioned. We were hopeful clouds would clear but alas, not to be. Thanks for your cache stagetree - still great to be here. regardskbucky
After being away for a bit it is now back to suburban or rural caches after work to try and beat my last streak of 67.It is just a personal challenge that Im working on and Im going to try and make it to 180.No need to take a detour to somewhere after work as I had a couple of appointments this morning so after that time for a nice little drive up to Mount Macedon. The weather improved this afternoon so I was able to take in the view from the cross then take the walk to this one to take in this great view from the western side.Cache was soon located and slightly exposed so after signing the log I covered it up a bit better.A fav goes out to you for showing me this great view. Thanks stagtree and elthamkiwi TFTC.
Wow wow wow what a view! Such a great spot for a cache. Logbook is full, found a spare page though in the middle.
Nice views from here. Cache easily found but with a person right nearby I had to try subtlety in retrieval. Thanks for the cache.
Muggle buddies: Me, Myself and I with Muggle Husband & MILWe had such a nice walk to the cache. The location was cool ! Floating Clouds surrounded us & it was so memorable! We stopped at the nearby cafe for hot chips & badge pins! A very very pleasant day!!Thank you stagetree, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
I decided to go on a solo day trip out to Mt Macedon today chasing some specific cairns and picking up some other caches of interest along the way, especially those that scored me some new LGAs.While the pathway to the cross was teeming with people, I was surprised to find that this far superior view was absolutely barren which meant that I could make a super simple find without any prying eyes to enquire why I was signing the logbook.I stopped to take in the view for a bit before heading back up the track, only passing three others in a group on my way out who subsequently got the view to themselves! What a great, and ostensibly underrated, location this is!Thanks to stagetree and elthamkiwi for highlighting it with this cache!
TFTC, great views. Approach from walking track near tea rooms, don't do it the hard way by bush bashing like us. Just some rubbish in the cache, replaced with a couple of small toys for the kids.
Ive been coming to this lookout for years, and in hindsight I shouldnt be surprised that a cache was hidden there!Such a beautiful spot and a fairly easy walk from the cafe. TFTC!
Those rocks on the path down to GZ are ankle breakers. A quick walk down from the parking area, great hint and coordinates spot on. TFTC
After a short walk from the car park grub62 and I found the cache quickly with help from the hint. Luckily enough we had found a gap in the muggle activity. Then with the logbook signed and the cache replaced it was then time to concentrate on the views. Sadly the day was a little smoggy but it was still an exceptional view. thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
bunadoorian and I were out today for a drive to pick up some solved puzzles and find some caches with a lot of favourite points. This was our 6th find for the day. I loved the views from this spot today - although it wasn't as clear as it could be. bunadoorian found the cache quickly and it was signed and replaced before we were joined by some muggles. TFTC and for bringing us here stagetree and elthamkiwi. Another favourite point from me.
Avoiding the runners was hard their running trail was everywhere. Finding this cache was thankfully not so hard, awesome view.
I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.
Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.
Absolutely breath taking. Couldn't believe, I stopped to enjoy the area for 15 minutes, then learnt I was sitting on top of the cache.
Thanks for the cache Stage Tree

I’m sure the view is often spectacular… today… not so much
Will come back in the summer to check it out.

The view was amazing. We had a lot of fun. Don't forget to bring a pen unlike us and also forget a human sacrifice.
Easy find we were in the area and thought we'd look for it. Sadly we had no pen to sign. My daughter took a marble.
Found it, no pen. Up here visiting. Nice little find! Jack jumpers in the area! #tftgc
