Having been born and raised in this part of the country it never dawned on me who remarkable the war memorials in this area are. Every town seems to have a list of men and women who served in a time of war.
After spending time in other areas to visiting other memorials it's remarkable to see who few names there were on their lists compared to the communities around here. It seems like service to ones country is not held in as high of regard elsewhere as it was and is here.
I'm proud to be a Texhoman and a veteran. Here's to the out great land and to the ones that have made it and kept it that way.

12:48. The container was exposed so I hide it just a little better after I signed the log. TFTC. TNLNSL.
2:30pm Field logging. My FIL is from Childress and we got a pic of his name on the plaque as veteran of Korean War. ( He stayed in the vehicle.) SL, TFTC.
Nice area....just like Hundreds of other memorials across the country. Court houses from Minnesota to the Gulf may have different architecture but the same message...we love our country....too bad we have politicians. All is well with the cache. TFTH and the fun

!!!On a long trip we found a lot of caches today and finished in Amarillo.
