After queuing for an hour at the Ticketek agency to almost-but-not-quite reach the front of the queue before everything sold out (shocker), I decided to go for an itty bitty walk instead.Parking was far more abundant over here even though there were a few other folks present - can't blame them given the lovely weather.Nothing immediately revealed itself and I clambered around a little to try and see just how far up and under I'd need to go.It was only once I'd taken a step back that I realised the cache was right beside my head in a slightly more accessible spot by comparison!Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the log is nothing more than a receipt scrap and ought to be replaced (in addition to this, the Small size led me astray somewhat during the hunt given the container is currently a Micro). Thanks to Sol de lune for putting this one here!
First find of the day, on a morning wander around Mount Arawang. Nifty little hide on the way to the top. Thanks SdL. Note: the logbook is just a receipt scrap, so could do with replacement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Out Tuggers way voting early in the referendum, and decided to stop and do the AL on the way home. Woulda been mad not to grab this at the same timethanks!

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases

Geohound and I were out pack training for my upcoming Flinders Ranges hike. Although intent was to keep the heart rate down on the Mt Arawang Summit Trail, we were racing rain and daylight. This was our first opportunistic stop on the nearby Adventure Lab.
Trolled it up but all we found were the bones of the cache left open without a logbook. Maintenance required for new log - photo as evidence. TFTC Sol de Lune!

Wasn't initially happy about this one as I dreaded all the cobwebs, spiders and god knows what else is under that bridge. LUCKILY, the cache was spotted instantly in a cobweb free location! Woohoo! TFTC Sol de lune!

The date is February 25th, the time a little pass 9, and I head off to another geocaching adventure! (well not before various problems leading up to it, but I got there eventually).
My goal is to find the remaining Canberra Centenary Trail caches, that goal however, managed to spectacularly flop on it's face due to me A) me miscalculating distance + elevation and B) me being weak and not being able to ride up a hill properly.
The end result was me calculating the GZ of all of them but only being able to find one because I wasn't able to return to that track without dying. That's pretty annoying, but it will give me a excuse to go back to the bushland so I guess that's fine.
A lovely ride today, starting in Dickson, to Coombs, to Kambah Pool (following CCT), to Tuggeranong, to Macarthur, back to Tuggeranong then returning to Lyneham. Only problems were that the heat is HORRIBLE.
Like I might as well have jumped in the Murrimbidgee river, as then I would have been cooled down!
A surprising lack of grass seeds in my socks by the end, despite the long grass. The only animals sighted was many kangaroos, a few lizards and a single shingleback just lying on the fire trail waiting to be run over.
36 (i think) caches found today, covering 93km and 879m of elevation gain, I am now tired.
Overall, great day and thanks to all the cache owners for contributing to this massive gameboard of ours. TFTC!

Our first find of the day on this mountain, as we had parked not too far from GZ, with the intention of walking to the summit.
It was still raining, but that cleared very quickly and the start of our journey soon began to have some blue sky peeking through the clouds.
After heading down, we soon had this one signed and then began our adventure uphill.
Thanks Sol de lune

I was here in July and like others was not able to find. Quickly had the cih today. Tftc. Last one to find on Mt Arawang
The Geocaching community strike again. Thanks to mountainsbeyond who offered to replace this one for me.
So, all is good to go again.....cache on.

I gave this a fairly good search, including shifting the accumulated silt that has come down from the path, but no cache.
A beautiful morning walk up down and around the mountain with J+J.AU that turned into a couple of hrs. Weather started out great for the day and turned pretty warm later on. All caches found fairly easy.

#1597 After passing a couple walking their dog I thankfully had GZ to myself for a nice quick retrieval, signing and replacement. Another smiley on the Tuggeranong Suburbs list.
After tackling the far end this weekend and after visiting a friend in Kambah decided to pick this one up on the way back. Great the day turned out so nice.
Tackling the last part of Cooleman Ridge today with a group. Shocker of a day after last weekend but rain is holding off.
Unless otherwise stated all was good with cache.

Like a few I’ve found recently, it’s nice to see an older cache with its original container and logbook. Quite a nice area as well.
Thanks for the cache Sol!

I cleared out Cooleman Ridge a long time ago, but this has always been the only unfound cache! Being right in the corner I decided it would be easier to park nearby and do it as a solo cache rather than walking down from the top of Mount Arawang on previous visits!
Despite it taking me several years to finally have a crack at this, today was the day! Was a great approach too, not only was it a short ~200m climb from where we parked, but we also got to say hello to at least a dozen friendly horses!
Thanks Sol de lune, unfortunately the logbook is very damp, but still signable. Well the replacement log anyway, the original one seems to have seen better days a long time ago. Might need an overhaul soon after it's incredible 10+ year run!

Thanks to the geokid for the assistance. Looks as though it hasn’t been found in a while
It was a perfect Canberra spring day today, even though it's not even spring yet. Since there is snow on the Brindies, we thought we would take the GeoPoodle out for a walk somewhere where their were both views and geocaches, and, today, the lucky winning location was Mt Arrawang.
We headed in through the horse paddock, and then up the steep climb, before heading down in a westerly direction and picking up the caches down that way - and we even spotted and logged a trackable..
This was cache number one, and, sadly it was far more out in the open than it should have been, and it was also wet and mouldy, so we hid it a bit in the most likely location, and logged it as needs maintenance.
Thanks for the Cache Sol de lune

A straightforward find with the GeoPup as we rambled around and over the mountain on a gloomy day. Thank you!

After a week of working from home I felt the need to grab a few caches, and since it was a gorgeous day, arranged with the boss to have this afternoon off. Decided to focus on Cooleman Nature Reserve as there were a few caches in the vicinity that I could grab on a round trip. Managed to score nine caches for the afternoon in glorious weather. I really like caching with other people, but it was nice to head out by myself too. Lots of kangaroos and black wallabies spotted. Walked on paths, tracks, footpads and desire trails - really enjoyed the exercise and the lovely views from all over!
Sixth cache for the afternoon and I was heading home via the main circle track. Quick find at GZ, container and log in good condition.
Thanks Sol de lune for the cache and the fun!

Started heading up to the trig, thinking it was Neighbour, but realised I was heading for the one I had just walked to from the other side! And I had been there last year and had forgotten to log it!!! Great exercise though.
#55. Last one for the day. Found it pretty much where you'd expect it to be. TFTC
The log is very damaged - there is another sheet of paper in the cache that isn't quite full yet.
I haven't been geocaching for a while, but when i spied a sistema container on the ground under this location i was pretty sure i knew what it was. I placed all the items back inside the container and have placed it back quickly where i assumed it would be (app no longer on phone and was in a rush). Owner may wish to check on it and make sure it is ok. I haven't logged a find (as i didn't have a pen).
So many people out today! We said we were playing trolls under the bridge... Tftc!
Kids found this one! The log is damaged badly but there is a sheet of paper to write on. TFTC
Nice sunday morning walk! tftc
Logbook missing, we put a new sheet in the box.

Ahhh, there are some great views here after being in boring flatland for some time. There were over 20 people walking around the southern part of the ridge in the afternoon. Easy find, the lid wasn't clipped down though. The logbook is wet through and full, but I didn't have anything to replace it with. Wandered back via into the sunset and into a couple of mobs of roos
Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers today.

Wow, that descent is steep in the dark with a headlamp short on lumens Cache soon found, though. TFTC!
Found it. Nice and easy for kids. Cache container is damaged. Placed a trinket.
