Unfortunately some suspicious activity at the cache was reported to stadium management, who investigated & removed the cache due to security concerns. Was fun while it lasted...
Nice spot! Had to wait around a while 'texting' while muggles were walking to their cars but got a few mins to find / sign / return without being seen. Took the TB - thanks!
Scoured the stairwell near the marked coordinates for twenty minutes and convinced myself there was nothing there. Then, just about to leave and inspiration strikes. Amazing hide! TNLNSL TFTC
In town for some work and decided to take a walk collecting some geocaches. TFTC
Last cache for the day heading back to the explorer of the seas. To sail home to Sydney thanks for s great day of caching. 11 found today.
Rush hour had almost finished so there were not too many people around. At first I had gone too low but once corrected I found it.
Found, noting once again that reading the description is helpful. On a visit with family to the Garden & Home Show at the Cake Tin. Ice-cold wind on an otherwise sunny day. Multiple muggles around. Due care proposed. TFTC.
Quick find on the way to the Home and Garden Show. Dropped a trackable off and picked up a new one
Quick find with Theosaurus on the way to the Home and Garden Show. Lucky there weren't too many juggles around this afternoon so I think we managed this find without being noticed
Picked up a trackable
Picked up a trackable
Managed a find without I hope looking too suspicious despite a lot of cars and a few muggles for the Home and Garden Show.

We came to bring two visiters from Europe - they wait for the next event in Westpac stadion- then try to continue their way. TFTC
A (very) quick grab-and-sign as the muggles came and went from the Food Show. Clever -and cheeky! placing such a large container here!
A neat hide thanks. Surprised how many people were walking in to the the Food Show even at 11am on Friday morning.
A rearranged flight time to Dunedin gave me an extra couple of hours before I needed to leave the CBD...so what better way to spend the time than some early morning caching.
I've been here for the rugby a few times, but the Fran Wilde walkway seems so much longer when you are walking along it by yourself...in the early morning light.
I'd never noticed these steps before - the lack of crowds clearly helped - so finding my way to the GZ was a breeze with the cache a quick find after that.
Darn! I have a couple of TBs back in my room that would have fitted nicely in here.
Thanks

Whoop great cache! Been passing this forever and never even knew it was here! Easy find! TFTC
On a road trip to Wellington from Hastings, and this was one of the finds here in town. Thanks for the cache. I was suprised by the size of this cache in such a location. Well done for boldness!
Short walk from hotel early morning before the days meetings , only a few early muggles around. Thanks
So many people around for the marathon but it actually made for any easy find and pleasantly surprised with the container size.

In town for a conference for a few days. Decided to collect a few finds early this morning before the start of the conference. This was my last stop. GPSr took me straight to GZ and I put my hand straight on it. Not too many muggles about at this time of day. Nicely hidden. Cheers for the cache placement!
Many cool places this one could have been hidden, and quite challenging to be forced to look at three levels
#781. A quick visit before work today. Still people around but managed to wait and take the opportunity to grab the cache. Signed log elsewhere, picked up TB then back for the return. This time there were a lot more people about so had to bide my time then quickly replace it when numbers thinned out. Seems well hidden but definitely requires a lot of stealth, especially with such a large container. TFTC
Popped in to check the cache on my way to the Phoenix & it had gone. I will create another one.
Thought this might be a quick find with a good hint. Even with an official looking fluro coat on I felt a bit conspicuous searching here. Well I peered under the hint zones, felt there as well. Nothing seen or felt. It must be very good camo, shrunk in size or its gone. Will watch and see!
Another quick find by the little bear, busy place, just waited for the right time. TFTC

Decided to search for this one as it seemed so close to our cruise ship The Voyager of the Seas. Alas, little did we know there was not a direct route there from where we docked! But we persevered as this was likely our last cache in NZ on this trip and it was the only one so far that was large enough for swaps. The Garmin bought us to GZ for an easy find. TSLS, SL. TB GeoMar gone walkabout. Picked up Pathtag Kangaroos Road Sign. Our first pathtag, will have to look it up!

Our last cache find in Wellington unless we return someday. Been a lovely time finding a few and sightseeing around this city, my last visit was 54 years ago[!] A few changes if my mind serves me well.
Thanks for this hide and now a smiley on my map tony the bald eagle.

Our ship Celebrity Solstice was berthed right near the Cake Tin. After a great day in the Windy City (no disappointment there!), we went for a last one, a bit of a walk trying to get to and from GZ but happy to make the find.
Now every time there is a rugby game here, I will think of a certain geocache!
TFTC tony the bald eagle!

Stealth was definitely required today with the Phoenix game on ! Thankfully it had started and there weren't a lot of cars in the car park. I guess everyone was walking in this lovely day? TFTC.
Catching up on logging caches after a four month south Pacific journey. Arrived aboard the ms Oosterdam during a quick two week cruise around New Zealand. This was the closest cache to our docking area right opposite the stadium. Found the cache after doing some wandering around Wellington caching and taking lots of pictures. Skateboarders were having some in the distance and paid no attention to me. The cache was lying on the ground when found. Put back according to the hint however the cache and contents were straining the attachment ability. TFTC Only wish there was a game on during our short visit however would probably have not been able to retrieve the cache.
Found quickly thanks to the helpful clue. No-one around today. Dropped off a trackable that I pixked up in Christchurch last week. Nice view of the harbour from up here and the Dawn Princess cruise ship was in port. Tftc
Hubby at a work Xmas do, so I walked down to pick up the car and this cache on the way. Cold and stinging rain just starting at the time, so this was encouragement to walk briskly up on top. Went back under cover - much better. Good cache, easy find and very few people around so easy to sight, write and re-site!
Dropping off a TB that wants to visit football stadiums.
The Jolly Cricketer needs to be marked missing, hasn't been in the cache for a jolly long time!

Decent hiding place lots of interesting fun things in the box too! Might need a new log book though, only two tiny pages left(:
Was watching the lions today, so decided to stop by and grab this one. Had to time it right as muggles were around. TFTC
Cache # 2,013 - nearly got blown off my feet in the pre-dawn gale force winds, as I claimed this cache for my daily prize. Only saw one jogger (almost as crazy as us cachers) out at this time of day. Very quick find, signed and returned. Nice to have this one checked off my list. Thank you very much!
Seen this stadium many times on TV and from a distance but had never been up close. Thanks for giving me the excuse to. Had to hide away from some future soldiers doing exercises but otherwise it was a great cache! TFTC
Tftc. Wow what a challenge trying to get this one! Firstly people in there car at gz ....waiting waiting waiting....finally get the green tick! Like the hide! 21/9/14
Up from Nelson for the All Blacks vs South Africa game... got it after the game!! That was a close one!!

434 All quiet at stadium tonight but wait till saturday when the Springboks arrive
All good today. Had to do a circuit of the carpark while the smokers finished what they were doing, then I swooped in for the find. The cache was all set up for a quick sign-and-replace: no bags and a pencil right there!
First time I've seen the concourse being used as a carpark. I wonder what that was all about?

I got close... I could see it in fact, I could nearly touch it! But then a ute with some workers pulled up and they got some gear out and started working about 3 metres away. I could have risked coming at it from the other side but the risk of being seen (and probably appearing very dodgy!) was too high. One for another day perhaps.
Pretty hard to look stealthy going for this one, not sure it'd be doable if a big event was on! Cache in good condition TFTC
A trip to the capital today and Geocaching was consulted to see if there were any nearby caches between the train station and the stadium. Two caches, a puzzle and a traditional and things looked good. Down this way for the football double header along with occasional caching cohort Rob (last cached together in East Timor, two years ago!)
Approaching GZ with a mass of chanting football fans and security stood at the top and was doubtful. But with a bit of nonchalant attitude I bent down, had a feel and grabbed the little blighter. All good at G Z, rescued a Bulldog Geocoin to continue it's travels and replaced as found. Final scores; West Ham lost 3-1 to Sydney F C, and the Phoenix played well in a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United. Football, sunshine and Geocaching, It's a game of three halves.

In centre of Wellington for a work meeting so took the chance to grab a couple of wellington central caches. What better place than the home of the Wellington Phoenix, conquerors of premier league West Ham United 2 days ago and ready to battle another, Newcastle United over the weekend. Go the mighty Phoenix. Did a travel bug swap. Thought appropriate to drop off a British one but probably not Newcastle suppoorters. TFTC.
TFTC found it on my day off, dropped off TB Due South ( note this TB has a goal to get as South as possible) I picked it up at Franz Josef, South Island and only saw this goal when I got home hence it travelling a little more North. The owner of the TB is aware of my mistake.

Found it after waiting for a few muggles to pass. Would have grabbed the TB but it was half dark so I didn't see it.
A nice easy find after an awesome walk. Found on a lovely sunny Wellington afternoon. Even managed to help out a tourist along the way. TFTC!
First international Easy find whilst attending KNS centenary. First time to the cake tin impressive. TFTC TNLN SL
