Right on the stroke of 10, red faced, red clothed, red thonged, red haired cachers came from everywhere. I'm sure the muggles stood in awe of what or who was taking over the mall.
Great to catch up with everyone. The kids loved the dress-ups. Thanks Steeba for a fun 15min.

Another nice day in Wollongong for an event.

The mall seemed a little quiet today but loads of cachers all dressed up made for a sight. Someone had even put out some red balloons to help our cause!

Glad to see so many people all dressed up and plenty of locals with a few from further afield Big Grin. Thanks to everyone for attending.

Geo-wife suggested that I attend this event this morning. What do I have red? Yes, Sydney Swans T-shirt, that will do. Left home at 9:30am and just made it with 2 minutes to spare. It was good to see so much red which included my face after jogging the last 50 meters when I saw the cameras coming out. I didn’t have much time to socialize as we soon dispersed after the photos were taken. It was a good theme, and now off to do a few local caches before heading back up the escarpment.

Late coin drop that I won

Woot! Lucky draw FTF! One of my finest caching moments...... Great event Steeba and thanks for the coin. I will keep it and let others discover it at future Flash events. Glad to hear this wasn't a pseudo-Dragons event. Go the Sea Eagles.

And #1 of the 4 major cache types I plan to do today.

Thanks for another great flash Smile Tommo
Thanks for all the birthday wishes.
Lots of fun.
Cheers.

15-May-10
Thanks for another fun little flash event! It was fantastic to see a lot of new faces! Our little underground activity is becoming less little and less underground all the time.

The hardest part about today was motivating the Birthday Girl to stop sleeping in ... Wink

Ding loved the excuse to put on a pretty red ribbon.

Cheers

The Cranky part of the Cranky Gekkos managed to make it at the last minute. Too many things to do and too short a life to do them in! Really looking forward to the bus ride coming up soon - more time to chat and meet new people. Many thanks to steeba for organising the event and apologies for being a straggler at the end.

15-May-10

15-May-10
What a great morning Wollongong put on for us. The sun was out and those Muggles that should have been out shopping stayed away. Good to see some new people to caching and was very intersting that the newsagent put up the red balloons for us. Did anyone notice those that stopped and looked? quite interesting!!! Thanks Steeba for another great event and the pathtag. Mrs KC will be most appreciative of it. Attached is a photo of the site at 9.45am

We had all but written off the chance of getting there in time but luck was with us this morning and we must have fluked nearly every traffic light from Kiama to Wollongong.
Sam made the bolt for GZ while I looked for somewhere to put the car and I was told he made it by about thirty seconds.
Many thanks steeba for all the effort put into the event again this year and it was great to catch up with everybody again even if is was only for a short time.
Thanks agin…

Will work on it.

09-May-10
The Ozjeepers had planned to attend and we had our Red Shirts all ready for the occasion. Unfortunately the Jeep didn't seem to want to go anywhere near Wollongong next weekend and decided to get written-off last Wednesday evening just to make sure we couldn't make it to the Flash Meet. We're now shopping for a new 4WD. Hope you all have fun - we'll have to see you next time.

As always, these have been a hit since their inception. Some of the Rats will be in attendance for sure.

22-Mar-10
Chip, Ding and I should be there. An interesting point to note is that someone in our geo-team will be celebrating a birthday that day... and it is neither Ding nor myself Wink

21-Mar-10
"Lock it in". We'll be there. How could anyone miss the opportunity to attend?
