Logs
As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
As the owner has not logged on since the 3 May 2011 and has made no attempt to replace the cache, I recommend that it is archived to allow another cache to be placed in the area. thanks
I used the hint and searched every possible location, I’m of the opinion this one has gone.
Did not Find with geozilla oz looks like it might be gone lots of digging and all rocks have been moved.
I think this one is gone gz is all torn up It's not looking good I will add a photo soon
This one was at our lunch stop during our Wednesday walk with the Essendon bushwalking club.

An awesome location on the water, a brilliant spot to spend a but of time exploring. I grabbed a TB and left two behind to keep moving!
I liked this cache The Ampitheatre. We got the cache once and we went to it and there was a trackable there and this is how we got it. It all started at our home. We decided to go to the boathouse but we had a mobile device and the app also Raffa27815 needed to get it too so we decided to get the cache. The clue gave it away. Loved the cache and hope you make a better cache ike a multi-cache. Hope you can make the multi-cache that I want you to make and TFTC.

Found at 6:45 as Landau351 still had it in his hands while we were on our way (this time on the correct side of the Yarra) to the FTF cache 'A little piece of Oki in Melbourne'. It was great to meet another friendly cacher on the hunt!

12/03/2011 18:38 Found: #317 On the way back to the car from Oki I met a very nice couple 'AzzAndJadey'. Though new-ish to this pastime they have an envious array of finds including South America, Easter Island and even Antarctica! I had seen them earlier on the other side of the river when I was logging the nearby Oki cache. Their GPS had sent then to the wrong side of the river which was, I guess, lucky for me. By the time they turned up here, I was already signing the log. Left 'PARTY TB' (TB2JY16 ), Discovered 'I'm a lady(travel)bug' (TB3Y58R ). TFTC TN SL

Found after calibrating compass on my Android phone. Great fun with my girlfriends daughter we come here often as a family often to enjoy the serenity. Thx for the cache

#145. TONS of muggles at GZ due to a concert preparing to start. Managed a sneaky retrieval, though. TFTC.
Nice one. Hardly anyone around when I was there today so easy to make a quick search, find, sign and return. Neat spot. TFTC, Biggles.
Very busy with muggles everywhere. Took the cache up to a shielded spot to sign. Took a die. Left an octopus. TFTC! Signed log.
What a beautiful cache. Great location. Hidden in a good spot... Well stocked. One of the best found so far.
Been in the area here many times, but have never got around to checking this cache. Have now remedied that.
The boathouse was closed for renovations for quite some time, but is now back in operation.
Sunny day - many muggles around.

Found by harry_stamper on 2/1/11 @ 1.20pm with PR&F.
After wandering and admiring the number of families around, we set off for the cache only for one of them to be located right next to it.
Cache retrieved and replaced without a blink.

Found on a late evening run with cycling_guy, jnr, and molly mee
The name told me exactly where this one would be, being quite familiar with the spot. So we carefully descended the stairs in the darkness and cautiously located the hide after a minute of looking... A good cache to highlight this spot. Always loved this area. So tranquil....

This was cache # 7 of 20 for the day on what was a frustrating day of nano's with cryptic clues. This was my second favorite cache for the day, not so much for the hide but for the location, I had no idea this was here. I am going to give it a vote as a favorite for the location the cache brings you to. My thanks to Grant61 for the cache.
Found this morning after a work Christmas Breakfast at the Boathouse. Was a tricky find with all the different levels. Thanks Grant61 for your cache.

What a great day it was today to go out caching and spend my birthday. I took my bike into the city and my mate and I rode back out.
I stopped off here to have my lunch, just to find that my mate didnt pack it into his bag, he left it on the counter back at the bakery! He had already scoffed his down so there wasnt even half for me!.
A quick find when the other muggles around werent watching. Left mini dice. TFTC

Found at 15:40, just before I had to ride my bicycle about 14km home after a long long. Had to use a bit of stealth because there were a few muggles picnicking nearby. Nice day for some bike riding and geocaching. I would like to have spent a bit more time on the later, though unfortunately time was against me. Hopefully another day! Thanks.
love this place. quick find after waiting for a couple lying on the steps to get rained on and left. tnln.
Thanks to my choose of transport, and the late hour I visited, I was able to park very close to the GZ - possibly closer than I should have. But made for a quick find. Thanks.
Not being able to download hints to my gps, I have to look around a lot when the gz is out. Not always fun in muggle area. Made the find after checking almost every bit of stone to see if it was loose. TFTC TNLN
Bones1 had found this cache earlier and pointed me at GZ. Interesting ampitheatre. TFTC
18.30pm, hardly anybody about as i parked and gradually walked closer to this very interesting place, what a surprise to find it here, they were closing up nearby so i could go just there to soon find the prize very nicely hidden, its only now as i do all my logs back in england that i see there was a bitey lizard here, glad it did not see me.a few days later i was back again at night with lochb for my second visit.thank you for this good cache and greetings from england.sltn.patandjeff=bones1.
Easy find, although needed stealth as there are painters galore on the building behind GZ. T4TC Collected Geocoin.
Beautifull spot. River flowing really fast today. No one around
Left Cook Islands coin. Took nothing

A quick find this afternoon in the drizzling rain. Gee, the Yarra's running very high today! TNLN, many thanks for bringing me back here, it's been many years since I was last here. Cheers!
A sweet spot here at the rivers bend will be back for a coffee when the cafe reopens thanks.
11:30 Found with S & his dog, Scuba. Great spot. Uplifted Globetrotter TB, dipped others.

11.35 Out and about with 80 degrees today, this one was our forteenth one this today, thanks to the great planning skills of Mrs 80's. We are on a high. This such a lovely old historical part of Melbourne. We tried to find a plaque on this lovely old site to see about addition information but we could not find any. I would think that it would have some magic scenes to tell. A nice easy retrieve but found the co-ords out about 10 feet. Onward with our mission to get the most we ever had for the day.

Found on a glorious winters day whilst on the way thorugh the area. What a great place for a walk and some caching. Some renovations going on up the path but i am sure GZ is safe. Thanks for showing us this spot. Dipped in TB.
Nice view, nice theatre on the river. Seems pretty daring to hide the cache right there...

Today started out sunny and cool and ended drizzly and cold.
It was getting very wet by now so we made this the last one for today.

What a great place, didn't even know this was here. See, caching takes you to some pretty cool place. Thanks for the cache. As an added bonus with this one, it was my 800th find...... Closing in on 1000.
Nice easy one but missed out on the expected coffee stop as the boathouse is undergoing extensive renos. However a quick diversion to the coffee shop in the TAFE (ex Fairfield prison?) proved a sustaining experience.

Quite a crisp Sunday morning, heading for the Fairfield Boathouse for brekky, not realising it was closed due to works. Oh well! A return visit in the Spring/Summer to take advantage of a lovely spot, a row on the river or to watch some performances in the amphitheatre.
Unlike previous cachers, we were entertained by a very young female trumpeter, who uncannily chose the right song to play - "Oh, When The Saints Go Marching In" (I'm sure the right notes are in there somewhere...ooo, yes, there's one!)
Located the cache but no blue tongue. Took TB, left nothing but a cheer for the Saints!

Not a sould around here today, must be the cold wet weather.
As such this made for a simple search which I had to widen a bit from where my GPS pointed, but with the cache size, it wasn't too hard to spot.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Grant61 for this cache experience today. A nice sized cache in an area like this. I'm sure as the weather improves, the muggler activity will as well.

Find 5/14 for the day, the ampitheatre looked a bit sad, nobody around who needed it! I guess every now and then they find some use for it, it's a bit run down though.
Found this with Geodaughter who spotted the location while I searched in the wrong place. It's certainly an interesting place. We have been here many times, although I've never seen the amplitheatre in actual use.
Thanks Grant61. Nice location. Left a GC.

I found it in the dark, but it looks like a great spot, so will have to return in daylight. I've been past this park loads of times, but had never previously ventured in. I was initially put off by signs of construction, but once I ignored them it was a quick stroll down to the hiding place. Once there it was an easy find. Thanks Grant61.
Admittedly I remembered the gist of the photo spoiler from way back when I transferred it to the GPS, so I didn't take long to find the right spot. TNLNSL TFTC
We were thankful of the hint as the GPS refused to work, but with the map and the hint we found the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1310. We've cached in and around here a few times now, but always enjoy the spot. The river views were lovely today. A couple of muggles were enjoying lunch in the amphitheatre, but in a spot that was out of sight at GZ, so no problems. Our thanks to Grant61.

Last cache of the day before having a devonshire tea at the boat house.
Found by Bob at 0950
This is a great area and there have been quite a number of caches in the general vicinity which I've enjoyed over the years - and it's close enough to work for me to conveniently drop by on my way in the morning. I'd actually popped in here yesterday morning while doing a couple of other nearby caches by Grant61 - but there seemed to be about 100 school children occupying the place as part of an excursion of some sort and I was forced to leave (in a bit of a huff ). Anyway, today the area was deserted and I was able to make a quick find and head off in search of a few more.

Froggie3185 and I had to be across the road at 1:00 pm but left plenty of time in case the traffic was bad. We arrived early, so wandered down to this cache. The nearby carpark was full, and I feared that they would all be in and around GZ, but most of the muggles were at the sportsground, and the few remaining muggles were a little distance away from GZ.
Froggie3185 was using his car navigation GPS to locate it, but it is not terribly good at finding offroad locations, so I used my GPS to hone in on GZ. Cache was quickly found as there was a hint of blue from the clip showing. I made sure that it was unseen when we left it. Thanks for a nice detour and for filling in some time before an appointment.

Found it ! Nice day. Why do muggles insist on sitting directly opposite GZs ??? - anyway these two were in a chatting world of their own. So was fairly straight forward find and replace. TFTC.
A warm Saturday afternoon is not a good time to look for this one - muggles galore! However after a later trip to look for EuDes' new one, I tried again - no luck I thought, but then I realised that the party was over, and within less than 10 minutes the coast was clear for an easy find of the good hide. Thanks Grant61. I removed an easter egg as ants LOVE food in caches.
While ADAcache and Ash-Dash were looking under a table I went straight to the gz. Nice hide. Drink time
