Out for a day of caving and geocaching. Found this on the way home and decided to do a little 4x4ing in the mud hole. Great spot!

Found this one with Rahn's Treasure and Rahn's Treasure took the travel bug. TFTC
Quick stop after interesting morning in the Wombeyan caves. Found cache sitting uncovered, so returned where it seems to belong. TFTC.
Spent the weekend camping at Wombeyan Caves and stopped to find this one on our way home. I went in from the wrong side & had a bit of fun finding an easy place to get up to GZ. Then realised there was much easier access on the other side . Thanks, enjoyed finding this one.
Quick stop and grab as we headed down to visit the caves. Interesting reading in the logbook from Mango.

Visited while camping at nearby Wollondilly River Station on a wet June long weekend.A nice easy find - TNLN.
1st cache of 18 for today. Just before I got here I got a flat, in the rain, but it was a fun cache none the less. Thanks.
Oberon 10. On the way home in the gloomy weather. Very covers conditions cause a long look, but I eventually found it. Thanks.

I figure I get the silver, as I am 2nd in the paper-log, since the First find was shared.
A quick trip up the hill from a weekend camping at the caves.
No roo problems for me, it was daylight, though the run from Mittagong the prev night was also wildlife free, surprisingly.

Let me tell you a story about this road. Last time we were down this road. We were going camping with Jusojara and another mate. We got a flat and had to go back to Goulburn to get it patched. The problem was it was a Good Friday acouple of years ago. Lucky we found somewhere and enjoyed the camping trip anyway.
This time we were travelling down the road in the dark and out hopped not just one but two silly roos. No not me but two real ones!
We tried to stop but no hope bang and both went under the car. A quick inspection and saw that the only damage was a bent number plate to the car. The poor roos tho were both dead. We dragged one off the road and made sure they werent still in pain.
I hate doing that but guess thats what happens when you drive down country roads at dark.
We made our rest of our way to gz. Slowing down even for a tree branch on the road. At gz we went where our gps said gz was and decided after using the clue we had to move closer to the car.
We then made a easy find TFTC

Our final find for the day with mr_roo and our sixth *FTF* but this one came with some drama. As it was now dark we were heading down the road when a couple of mr_roo's cousins jumped out in from of the Ute. No time to stop but luckily the bull-bar did it's job and there was only some minor damage to the number plate.
Anyway back to the cache. We arrived at GZ in the complete darkness and unlike the last one could not use the headlights to help so mr_roo and I headed out with just my Maglite to find the cache. We arrived at where our GPSr's placed us and realised that (according to the clue) we were perhaps a little out. Upon our return to the logical location we spotted the hide straight away.
Thanks to the Southern Tablelands Cachers for a great event and a fun day - we will be back next year.
