Logs
We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to xr400sim for the generation of this nice cache Australia Remembers (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Found with DennisC52 while on our half lap of Australia. Thanks (owner) for the cache.
Found with Loopy1972 on our half lap of Australia via Darwin, QLD and NSW. Log was full, so inserted a new log. Thanks xr400sim for the cache.
On our way from Camooweal to Mount Isa we stopped here quickly. Although the toilets were just being cleaned, we could grab the little one without the cleaners noticing. Tftc!
An unfortunate dead bird near there currently but otherwise a quick find. Tftc!
This one really was quick and easy. Unlike some of the other so called easy caches.TFTC
I actually drove past the lake turn off and kept going. The machinery guys were near my FTF the other day and pointed at me when I went past so I kept going out to this one.I saw this one sitting there the other day when I drove in but I was pushed for time.Fast forward to today and injustice corrected .Machinery guys were busy with a truck on the return leg.Cheers
Found this one pretty fast! Helped me feel better about my two did not finds.TFTC - love the history
Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 27 - Tennant Creek, Northern Territory - Mount Isa, Queensland (650 km)Dnes m cesta na sever skrz tm celou Austrlii kon. Ani s kekami to nebylo dnes nejlep. Tm dn po cest nejsou a jet jsem njak nenala, jednak kvli zcela podmen pd nebo kvli lelkujcm mstnm. Za to jsem konen vidla klokana, ovem jen sdrovho u benzinky. Jet 2 dny pejezd a pak u konen zase ocen. Myslm, e mi to vnitrozem u stailo. Taky mm v kolech u pes 7 tis km.Today I leaved Stuart Hwy near Tennant Creek and continue on Barklys Hwy to the eastcost. It was really hot again. I found some caches on the road but mostly have DNF because of local people or water on the ground. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.
My final day of caching and sightseeing in Mount Isa with RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 (Logs signed as Team4QLD) and joined by Team TBU.Very early start to the day, and after our trip to the lake, it was time for some tree fishing, then random caches on our to-do list in and around town.Apologies for the generic logs, but I very much enjoyed all the caches found. They were in good condition and a credit to the several cache owners who placed them and maintained them for our benefit and enjoyment THANK YOU
Staying more nights in Mount Isa.Found the cache with TBU1Bikesu - and with Team Q4 which added extra fun. Some caches were easy to get to, some needed bigger efforts, some were quickly found, some took longer .... It was a fun day out. Thanks to all cache owners who put out these caches for our enjoyment.
Travelling with RoddyC, snickersallan and grannysmith1947 as Team4Qld.Day 4 in the Mount Isa area to complete some challenges and get some more smiles and caching with TBUs.TFTCache xr400sim

Day 20With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. We are really enjoying our stay here in Mount Isa, lots of caches, lovely sunsets, unique landscape and the spring wildflowers are amazingly different to ours in Victoria.Another day of caching with the object of getting 15 more finds to help qualify for the local challenge cache.Just heading out on the Barkley Hwy, purely to keep cool in the air conditioned car to this older cache.Ironically there was a sign for the caravan park here where we are staying. Thanks xr400sim for the placement.
On our travels we stopped to stretch our legs and took the opportunity to do this cache, a nice quick find, thanks for placing it
Heading West from Mt Isa today so dropped in to find this cache. No problem finding it after some muggles left. Glad I was able to do the new road as it also cut off 10 Miles of travel. Thanks for the cache.
We're staying at this rest stop overnight so once we'd sorted out the caravan, I wandered over to read the signs and claim this cache. A nice, easy find this evening.
Thanks for find #4763

As we had no van on today, we are doing a few out of town caches. Made this one our futherst from Isa. We were surprised by how many vans are here free camping. We quietly found cache signed ??and returned it to its hide. Found the history board interesting. Tftc ??
Day 80 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 79 of a streak, so we are keeping it rolling.
Heading further east now and will stay in Mt Isa for a few nights, Thanks for making us stop here and pay our respects

Apologies for the late log here (25.12.23) but I've had a mad time since getting back to the UK.A very long (900km?) day ended here, with a fast find in the dark while heading to the loo. Then it was back to the car for a good sleep, despite road trains with mobile suns rolling (rumbling) by all night long. Ah, it's quite the adventure, really.TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
Easy find at a nice overnight stop. Waiting for the sunset to happen now. TFTC
Found on our trip from Mount Isa to Tennat Creek. Thanks for hiding this one and as always TFTC, MumDad2000
We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

TFTC SL Have traveled this old road in the old HQ and caravan in the 70's. Trucks provided some exciting times. Cache in good condition. Thanks for bringing us here.
On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
This place is busier than a caravan park. Tons of vans.

A nice easy find thanks to the hint. I wouldn’t want to be towing a caravan on those old roads. Very interesting history. TFTC
TFTC. Found while heading West after spending time with friends in Mt Isa. Interesting history.
Found at 2:07:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
After a long drive, we arrived at this expansive camping area, set up, had lunch and then it was off to explore the area and check out Mt Isa. As we were departing for our afternoon's adventure we stopped at GZ and feared that we were going to have to search in a not very pleasant location, but the GPSr's needle swung around and we were saved
Looking for a "small" though in this exposed spot was going to be interesting, but then we found the cache in a tiny spot.
Noticed the old pieces of the road that are being slowly covered in dirt - gosh the road was narrow in those days!
Thanks xr400sim.
Feedback: Something must have changed over the years, because the cache size is now a tiny plastic container that is a micro and not a small.

Please be warned there is a used needle in the shrubs near GZ I didn't have a way to dispose so I didn't touch it. It was found after log.
On our way to Lawn Hill we made a quick stop for an easy find. Thanks for the hide.
Finishing off some caches with goingplaces2 and enjoying being out caching around this area. Cache found, log signed, all replaced. Job done! TFTC.
The container was on the ground, we put it back where it belongs and secured it. TFTC
Having found all the caches close to the Isa and needing a find today for the International Geocaching Day souvenir, we took the drive out here to grab the next closest available cache. TFTC.
Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central Queensland to Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns. In Cairns I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend and spent three weeks on Cape York Peninsula before making our way back to Cairns and Mareeba. From there I headed on my own back home via Normanton and Karumba, Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Tennant Creek and back down the Stuart Highway through Alice Springs to Adelaide. All in all I spent six weeks on the road, visited many out of the way locations, enjoying the scenery and finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache xr400sim!
Found when I had no service travelling to Alice Springs and have only just remembered to log it. Tftc
A perfect pullover if I had a van and there was space. A lot of interesting information here. TFTC
Waited about 30 mins for the motorhome at GZ to move on than went in for an easy retrieval. TFTC
We are heading west and pulled up here last night to camp. Listened to dingos howl and omg... the bugs were the worst we've seen but cache was an easy find. Tftc
We left Mt Isa early this morning to continue our road trip heading west. Stopped by here for an early cache. Parked at GZ cache found, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks xr400sim.
Nice easy find after someone replaced the cache.
Cache is in excellent condition.
I visited 3 TB.

This one was clearly muggled. Broken pen on the ground and a neat pile of rocks in the tree.
I replaced it a temporary container until it can be maintained properly.

Container had clearly been muffled with broken pen on the ground. Morgo to the rescue with a new small container & log lovely spot for a bit of history. TFTC
Well the gps led us to an amazing log with the requisite little cairn of rocks in the hollow. But no cache, no mint tin. I wonder if it has disappeared or were We in the wrong place?
Awesome little find on my way from Darwin to Brisbane. My first cashed in Queensland.
On our trip from darwin to brisbane our first cache in queensland. Greetings from Berlin & Tftc
