A little local bike ride from the marina before some drinks at the rooftop bar. Gz was slightly off but went to where made more sense and there it was. Thanks.
Took us a while because the coords took us 4m away. Got it in the end. SL and RAF
frmen1 and I couldn't find this one two years ago. We think that we were put off by the large number of muggles. Today it was much quieter and a quick grab and return. TFTC
Found this one after being unsuccessful 2 years ago.Well hidden cammo,it's in good condition. Thanks
Took a walk around the area this morning for a few caches, a nice area by the water. This was quickly located today.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT.Now with a detour to Thursday Island.TFTC. Nice quick find while waiting for a ferry.
Nice little hide. I came looking here last time I was in Townsville but it was not available then. Today no trouble was had TFTC
Thanks, insane.cache.posse, for placing and maintaining this cache. In town for the day, another Leap Year, another geocache.RCVL.
Found what I was looking for in the area I was looking after a reasonable search on the ground so replaced where it looks like it came from. Loved it, FP, TFTC!0
Quite a long walk in from the accommodation on an evening walk before dinner. But an easy find here. The hint is excellent for this one. Thanks.
On our bikes from the marina, starting at some caches around the port - luck with some & not others. This was a sneaky one but the clue certainly helped. We used to have one of these containers but it went missing very quickly so we didn't try for another one. We haven't seen another for a while, so good to see they are still around.
Threatening rain but seemed to hold off for most of the day while we were on the bikes.

First one of these I've seen since NT in 2012, nice use here and replaced as found after signing in.
A Saturday off before some more tasks tomorrow so keen to make the most of it. Got dropped off at 0900 at Jezzine Barracks and wandered up and down (and under!) The Strand and covered just over 18kms on foot before investing in a taxi back 'home'. A productive day, though not massive numbers, and a few Ad Lab stages, but enough to keep ticking over and seeing more of Townsville's charms. Thanks to all COs for their efforts.

As we were close bye doing a puzzle cache ,so we stopped off to get this smile. At first, we thought yuk then on a closer look .Gotcha. Singned
I was wondering what transformation was going to happen with this once the structure and artwork disappeared but I needed have worried. The replacement was bother punny and entertaining with a flash of colour that did jazz up the gz. I did however need to have a squiz at the clue as I’d had a look at a couple of other structures before settling on the one that it was on.
Always good to have CO’s from times past return to the game and even beat us to the FTFs when you manage it
Thanks for the replacement in a picturesque part of town.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

The structure has been removed and as the CO states the caches is not there, so the listing so not be also.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Geocache has clearly gone by previous comments and area is all fenced off. By CO own admission it is not there
We checked this one out today. It will need maintenance. We will be back soon to repair. The cache is not here right now
As others stated, no cache to be found. Spent 30 minutes back and forth to car to message people who had claimed finds but didn't hear back. Owner need to check on this one.
Not sure what the last people found, looks like the whole area has changed as there’s no building on the site anymore.
Chooo ooo [DNF] with dty73 and youban on our Townsville Mega run! Not sure the building is still there - very curious about joojoo claimed find! Thanks insane.cache.posse!
Out caching today while visiting Townsville for the Mega. Thoroughly enJoyed the time up here and finding the caches. Signed the lo book. TFTC
Collecting a few caches this afternoon around the city and The Strand area. Signed as TC - Team Crocs. Thanks to the CO's for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Day 4 of our Townsville Mega event weekend. We started tackling the caches and adlabs along the Strand with hevwalker. Then headed to Castle hill to do a few (Wow, its stunning up there!) before going to GZ to the pathtag swap and official closing ceremony. WooHoo we held our time in the escape room and snagged a prize for first place! After the event had closed, we said our goodbyes to old friends and new friends, headed back to the strand to find a few more and play on the scooters! Sadly it looks like whatever was here has been removed. Co needs to check.
Like the previous cachers we were also unsuccessful. It is clear that some structure has been removed which may well have been where the cache was located.
Couldn’t fond it today unfortunately. Suspect a structure has been removed from here that hid the container.
Think the vent has been removed. Signing as Pawsome Foursome which is Drrnrchr and Driftindillons team name for Townsville for the mega. Did your Jazz it up!!! today. 12 April 2022 11:58 am Tyfc insane.cache.posse total caches now 4556 .
On a GC trip with Drennostar around Townsville while visiting family.
This one was tricky due to lots of muggles around. We admired the artwork for quite a while until we found it. Great hide! TFTC!

Out geocaching with Jonut73 and geo niece Kiara_888. Loved this one. The hint was cool and led us to the smiley! Cool art work. TFTC
Found this great geo with ree8 and jonut73. Loved this one, first of this type I found very cool, the artwork was a bonus. TFTC.
Ever notice how the harder you try not to look dodgy...the dodgier you look???
Out caching with Ree8 and kiara_888. The sun was setting and the lorikeets were making their usual noisy racket. The artwork is very cool and the hint was spot on.

Out celebrating my 50th Birthday at the Ville and decided to walk off the food and drinks with a little cache hunting. Very busy night but soon found and signed. Thank you. From Orth21 log i think he drank more than me.
Day six of my road trip and day four in Townsville. The plan today was to just drive around town collecting target caches from my list and working my way to my 6000th cache. There was a lot of backtracking and walking trails but it was a very rewarding day, thank you.
Working my way around town I had a few target caches to collect and then there was a few I collected as I passed. With time a factor today I only stopped where I could, this was one of the lucky ones. It was an easy find but I was searching the wrong end at first, the hint was helpful. Thank you for placing this cache here, eleven years on and this one is still going, good job. With the log signed and cache replaced as found I was then on to my next target.

Looked in all the obvious spots. Should have been easy which leads me to think it's no longer there.
Busy here this afternoon with a graduation ceremony going on. Managed a park not too far away and made a quick find here with KerriMG. TFTC insane.cache.posse
Day 1 of our Townsville geocaching adventure with nikid1. Parking was at a premium around here today as it looks like a graduation ceremony was going on nearby. We managed to grab a park near the boat ramp & nikid1 soon had the cache in hand. Log signed, replaced as found & off to the next one.

Grey Nomads travelling around Australia - more recently, just Queensland, and of late, Townsville, where our geo-van is firmly planted. Went for a drive along The Strand with Garmin showing me the way. Some we found (3), some we didn't(3)
Two eyes are better than one! After venting my frustration Mr D joined me to find this cache. We have replaced the log which was wet soggy and sodden. Thanks insane.cache.posse

With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.
We arrived in Townsville yesterday afternoon and this morning I headed out early before sunrise to grab some caches around Castle Hill while the rest of the family were still in bed asleep. It was then time to head back to collect the family to drop them off for the ferry to Magnetic Island. With that job done, I was free to continue my day geocaching, which included a visit to this cache.
It actually took me two goes to get my name in the logbook. The first time I looked there was a bus parked up nearby and the driver continually seemed to be looking in my direction so I moved on to find some other caches in the area. By the time I returned there seemed to be no attention from the other buses parked nearby so I set about the hunt. Cache eventually found but the logbook inside was completely wet. Could only manage to sign my name on the cover as the log was full. TFTC

This cache has been in my peripheral vision since I arrived in town several months ago, and today I finally decided to stop and find it... With a number of options, the manual helped narrow the criteria - and just as the muggle man was getting annoyed and telling me to give up, the cache was found (he's not known for patience, particularly with these kinds of caches!). Thanks for the hide insane.cache.posse
Just need to vent, the hint is not exactly spot on.... This cache is not in a vent but awesome container
A safe place to vent is not here...try getting down and dirty with jazz hands and your spirit fingers may find their way to the cache!

I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.
I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.
Best wishes, Lærry

Found - with hint. Who knew such a structure would have so many different vents??? Discovered after a long day of hiking - and geocaching - on Maggie. TFTC
