I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi skindo
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response.
The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter.
See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back later to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache, and if you have checked the cache and it is still there, or if you have replaced the cache then please post an **"Owner Maintenance"** log
Because of the recent Level 4 and Level 3 Covid-19 lockdowns, we have decided we will be allowing extra time for cache maintenance on this cache and will check back in 6 weeks or so.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Stopped by to check out the memorial and look for the cache. The hint is quite specific and there is no cache anywhere near it. Unfortunately this one seems to have gone AWOL and would need to be placed somewhere different as there is no cover for any replacement cache.
19 January 2019 11:11. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, there is a statue of him near where I work, Tftc.
I had come up to Palmerston North for the MGC GIFF event where I got to see some amazing films, afterwards when we headed home 3Prettys stopped at a couple of geocaches that they had previously found and let me try and find them.
We made a quick detour off the main road to find this geocache, I read the hint before I hopped out and the hint gave its location away instantly. TFTC, very easy and fun hide, thank you skindo!

We stopped our car here on the way home after the GIFF event so the_jinx could add to his total finds for the day.
Found the cache, almost drove past the memorial. The memorial itself is in good condition but the gravelled area is looking a bit neglected. Easy find. Thank you!
Stopped here on our wander through the back roads to have a coffee and piece of Bacon and Egg pie and while Mr S made the coffee Mrs S went off to find the cache. Nice memorial to a
household name, one we all grew up with.
Thanks for bringing us here skindo.

I was asked by the Wairarapa Branch of the Caravan Assn to give a talk to them this morning about Geocaching as they were having a Rally at the Mangatainoka Brewery. While I was in the area I might as well locate and sign off a few trads.
I remember as PM.
Cheers for the cache.

Interesting piece of history. I remember being in Wellington and seeing the funeral procession for his state funeral. TFTC
After searching for this one a few weeks ago, and unable to be found. Today was a success after cache has been replaced after going missing.
Found today while out caching and tiki-touring with my Mum, Aunty and Mr 14. Thanks for the cache.
Left temp replacement cache.
If that’s not suitable, then delete my Log.
I’m not likely to pass through again soon, and had a container in my van.

Looked for this before getting a DNF, found it this time (oh so easy ) what's the saying "how did I miss it before" Cheers
6 months later, now knowing what a v container looks like, we've returned and made quick work of finding the cache.
TFTC and for bringing us to this memorial.

Stopped on way to Shannon. Looked both ends of chain, but no find. One end of chain is broken may be that's way its a DNF. Cheers.
Holyoake memorial is another of those forgotten places. Only the locals seem to remember. Thanks for bringing us here.
Have added a sheet of waterproof paper as log was full. SL TFTC

Wish I coukd say I'd found it, but I have to admit defeat. Maybe if I knew what a 'v' container looked like.
Out collecting a load of firewood and we thought we would grab a couple of caches in the area. Straight forward hint. Cheers.
Another quick find as the hint was helpful. Wonderful sunny autumn day to be driving in the area, never knew this memorial was here, thanks for bringing me to this place. TFTC!
On a 6 day road trip with sveppi. Day 5: Masterton-Ohakune. This was meant to be a quick trip, but sveppi wanted to stop briefly to grab something from the back of the car. So might as well find a pull-over area with a cache included. I grabbed the cache while she grabbed her stuff and we carried on.
Nice easy cache and dash on our on our way back from ocean beach to Palmerston North. Thanks for hiding!

I've been working at the factory for 2 years, but have only just taken up geocaching... Funny having this on the doorstep!
I couldn't do much today as serious flooding around the district. TFTC
On a road trip over the Wairarapa collecting a few more caches this weekend. Lots of rain but managed to make this one a quick find.
The things you come across while caching. Thanks skindo for bringing me to this interesting spot.

I never knew Holyoake was a local identity. TFTC that brought me here. I love finding things like this because of geocaches.
Lots of activity at the Fonterra plant. Interesting extension to the buildings. TFTC.
I remember seeing Keith holyoak at wellington airpprt when I was in college

Thanks for the cache didn't know this was here cache was out in the open so put it back better
We saw the strangest of sights while reaching for this cache. An older gentleman dressed in bright lycra walking three chiwawas. Oh well, he seemed happy and we were definitely happy grabbing another cache.

Hadn't realized that Jacko was born in this paddock even though I knew he hailed from up here. TFTC
I got a text from Tommygun9 asking if I wanted to partake in a trip into skindo country. How could I say no? About 250km's and 9hrs later, I found 61 with three DNF's. A big thanks to Atomsnz for solving most if not all of the puzzles we found today. A quick find here.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley. Found with Tommygun9 and Atomsnz.

A really enjoyable day with a few finds bewteen Palmerston North and Piahatua to get to the start line of the power trail to Eketahuna. Mannaged to find them all, ticking off 89 caches in about 5 hours. Thanks for the placements, certainly bigger caches than on many power trails I've seen.
A dot-day challenge to get 3 figures, 100 or more, in a day
Caching around the back roads of Pahiatua, Eketahuna nd Mangatainoka.
Into skindo and others territory myself and nightowl19 went and 107 was the final score

Having previously visited the Massey Memorial on Wellington's Miramar Peninsula, I was very surprised that this one was so minute in comparison.
No idea this was here but a quick find at GZ to finish off an afternoon of caching over the Pahiatua Track with the two oldest Jr. Cachers. Thanks for bringing us here skindo.
A Sunday of caching in my namesake territory. What could be better? And a beautiful mid-summer-like day as well.
Loved it - the history was fantastic and brought back all sorts of memories of old Kiwi Keith. Cache find was straightforward. Log signed, then safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too you beaut!
The Turtle strikes again!

As I grabbed this one, the VERY friendly horse in the paddock came over to inspect and allowed me to give her a scratch (well several) TFTC
I didn't know he came from here. A piece of history tucked away.
Easy cache - found with Crystal Fairy. TFTC

I am old enough to remember when Holyoake was PM, though he wasn't well regarded in our Labour voting household.
Quickly spotted the hide, but knew it would take a while to rehide, and it did!

#5274. Bit too young to remember Holyoake as PM (remember him as GG). Nice memorial to him on his home patch. TFTC.
Holyoake was the Prime Minister throughout Mr & Mrs daywalk's childhoods- didn't know he came from here. We jumped back in the car and tried to list all the subsequent Prime Ministers of NZ.
