Found today to find some more high fav point caches for the Cache Creation Celebration Souvenirs. Cache found with banj ward and beary_Unicorns!
#2804
Found with Banj Ward, beary unicorns, Samuel737, barefootjeff and LarkinForce1.
Whilst at the very nearby Creation Celebration at the Stockade event, this cache was discussed, it had been DNFd as the final couldn't really be found, but the final was still there, 40m away.... we wandered over and admired the log sheet that was in very good condition. It may lay here as a little geocaching time capsule for a while now maybe.....

I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Found with the help of Brown Barbaloots. Using one of the fresh measurements the cache was soon found and signed. It would be a shame to see this cache archived, maybe Brown Barbaloots could take over ownership of this geocache
I note that someone other than the cache owner has performed maintenance on this cache. While I appreciate this action, responsibility for cache ownership includes regular visits to the cache to assure in remains in place and in good repair. This responsibility also extends to responding and addressing issues documented on the cache page as well.
As such, I would look to the **cache owner** to respond here. Should this not occur, I would consider this cache to be abandoned, and it may be archived moving forward.

We eventually found this cache last year, after some considerable difficulties, and being very close by yesterday we thought we might see how it was going. We were surprised to see that several people had posted DNF logs since, and that a reviewer had become involved.
We walked over to the GZ from where we were, finding the cache still in place, and checking the waypoints, we found two in poor condition but definitely readable, with another missing completely just as it had been last July when we looked for it - hence two possible GZs.
Even though we had a great amount of trouble finding this cache last year (and in attempts in several previous years), it was one of our most enjoyable finds (having worked so hard), so we didn't want it to be archived. Given that the owner last logged in 2015 and hasn't found a cache since 2011, we thought we might help out a bit.
Armed with a marker and our GPS, we returned today and headed straight to the GZ, where we took a reading and saved a waypoint. We then proceeded to all three of the locations where the distances are supposed to be (in two cases, still are), and wrote new, more accurate measurements where the old ones are/were.
We then took some co-ordinates from each location, and here's what we got.
S 32 45.103 E 151 34.703
S 32 45.044 E 151 34.837
S 32 45.152 E 151 34.822
You should find that these co-ordinates are more accurate for the required trilateration, and we hope that our updated distances will point straight to GZ.

Measurements required to find this cache cannot be found, I believe they have worn away. im certain I found where measurements were supposed to be. if CO doesn't answer calls for maintenance, cache may require archiving
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
the measurements required to find this cache cannot be found at the given waypoints, could CO please check on this
After a ten minute look on what must have been our seventh trip down here, the cache was in hand. Finally found the closest unfound cache to home after having it bother us for about three years.

This is the second last cache left on the map in the Maitland region for me (next closest on my map is in Weston) and it has been a constant thorn in my side since a DNF some time ago. Tried again today, and this time had some success - although like previous finders, it is very evident that the final coordinates are out by enough metres to thrown you well off the scent. GZ is actually about 5-8m from where I last concentrated my search, and it turns out if I had only had the presence of mind to take a few steps up the hill, I would have found my destination. I would argue that the way in which this cache is written up, it really does lend itself to be misconstrued in terms of the calculations - the numbers at each waypoint are also at present exceedingly difficult to find or to read (these needs maintenance - I could not complete this without some help from previous finders). On the upside I did find a very useful tool at GC Toolbox to help resolve the maths needed. My days of using a map and a protractor are over! The good new is that the cache and log are in wonderful condition. Thanks for the effort on a novel style of puzzle - even if I did have immense struggles in getting to the end! TNLN TFTC
Found the 3 points but not sure what to do with them. Tried the middle of the triangle but no luck. Will have to come back another day.
All good in the end thanks for the help think it a tad off but that adds to the challah get thanks for remarking the numbers
Our attempt at triangulation failed..... so we decided just to hunt. Having grown up on this hill we knew where all the cemented areas are, just took a methodical approach. After a long and tiring hunt we finally found it. Time for pub grub, tonight's caching complete.
So maybe my understanding of how to triangulate this is all wrong - but the point equidistant from the three ways points is in open grassland. Looked at a range of possibles with brick and concrete, but no deal. will try a PAF maybe!
Spent about 40mins in 38 degree heat but couldn't find this one. The whole park is pretty tidy, so wondering if it's still intact. Ah well.
Finally found this elusive cache after 5 times with thanks to Morky70 for his help .. So glad to finally sign the log
Tftc!!
Heard a lot about this one being quite tricky.
After some help from Morky70, Badman family and I found the cache quickly.
Nice hide! Thanks

TFTC!!! We have been here 3 times previously looking for this cache & hadn't found it. Went down here again today to start the search again. Thought we knew where it was, but it was not. Didn't have to search too far away until we finally found it with a little hint from tiara_balcony. Very very sneaky. I swear we have checked here before! Thanks so much!! =)
Driving past Stockade hill today and thought i would stop and check to see if the cache is still in place. It's still there.
Tried again today..#4.. armed with all my working but to no avail. Think the CO may need to check to see if things are in order. On the plus side it was a nice day for a wander in the park.
Did not find again today. Teamed up with the Badman Family but after just over an hour, it was no-where to be seen! Saw two other fellow geocachers out & about looking for the same cache. We will be back soon to start the search again!
During my job as chauffeur today, I had a half hour break between jobs. I thought I would go for a walk around this park and see if I could see anything. There were people sitting at what I thought was one of the given waypoints. So I went around the otherway, to the strange pillars and found something! Wow this is ganna be easier then I had imagined. I headed off to the third waypoint, but couldn't find the required info. Maybe not that easy. With only one number I knew it was going to be difficult, but not impossible. I just had to walk around I a big circle at the given radius. Lucky for me the Hint was jumping out of its hiding spot. So I actually found it. I signed the log and made sure it was in there properly for the next finder. I then went to the first way point (that I hadn't visited) and found another number. I went back to the cache and this one seemed 10 meters out. Nice puzzle and nice park. Hadn't really expected to find it on my first visit, but was very glad to anyways.
Thanks the the walk and puzzle!

This cache had been bugging us for months as we couldnt find any information. We left it for awhile and last night decided to have one final attempt at the cache. With some help from Team Tonka and danwashere we were hopeful we could find it this time. Well after about 10 minutes of searching and 5 minutes of admiring the bunch of green tree frogs on the rotunda, we finally found a spot that looked promising. And with that we found the cache that had bugged us for half a year and sparked many frustrated conversations. Such a relief.
Tried and tried but couldnt find any of the information needed which is annoying because i really want to find this cache
managed to do this one a few months ago but never found the cache was passing again today and decided to stop in for another look and low and behold it was sitting in the same place my gps had me looking how i missed it last trip i will never know but anyway its now a smilie face Thanks Team jezes.
i tried to find it today but all clues and locations were missing. Council has done work in the park area.
Finally got to this one after looking at it for months. Found waypoint 1 then waypoint 2 but could not find waypoint 3 so using the two readings I had, worked out the location and after searching around for about 10 mins found the little cache.
Reperio at 0700.
Got up nice and early to go and find a ache for the day to keep the daily streak going...and while I wasn't 100 percent confident of finding it...I had to give it a shot. With only a little time before having to be at work, I jogged between the initial WP's to collect what I needed. Could only muster up two of the measurements...but that was more than enough to find the cache. Headed over to where I thought it would be, and after some careful searching, the cache was found. An enjoyable cache in a great spot.
Gratias Team JEZES.

Finally got this one! Kept looking in the wrong spot. Loose piece of cement wasn't covering cache but I put it back in it's right place..
this one presented quite a challange, must have walked over around through GZ 7 or 8 times , could not locate WP3 but area needs a mow badly.

Great work Team JEZES, an interesting cache but not for the faint hearted. A bit of walking required and it took a while to get the idea, but got there in the end. On my old etrex the search for "nearest" way points was handy when we had all the necessary numbers.
Finally had the time to hunt this one down today, Great cache, thanks Team JEZES.
Enjoyed this on only to way points found third one should be remarked it is about 118-119 meters edit that out if you want Team JEZES Thanks for a great puzzle
Phew! At last, I've had several attempts at this one but always got spooked by muggles. I looked in all the "obvious' places but it was only when I got on my hands and knees did I succeed.
Also I suggest that the distance from Park2 is probably 10m less than stated.

Spead out, a group of pathfinders (15 in all) 3 meters apart, maybe my triangulation was out, but I would not have thought by that much
Found the info needed at WP's 1 & 2 but WP3 was a know show. Not having the third meant I couldn't triangulate so had to resort to a bent line instead.
Got to a likely GZ and like others got side tracked on another area close by.
Spotted another likely area that would be within the range and came up with the goods.
A nice park to walk around for a nicely setout cache.

After a hint from the Cashman, I took the time to stop by at this one on my way home, with Baby Rat in tow, and found the sucker first go. Have to remember that GPS co-ords are usually 5-10m out, and that not everyone thinks of the obvious like me .
Thanks for the fun.

I think the Adams St mark has worn away. I spent an hour looking for it. I found the other two but not this one.

Took us 3 attempts but finally found it after morky70s help. Could not of done it without him. Go team stevens
This one was quite an adventure! Over all it took us about an hour and a half of wandering around the park. We eventually worked out that our GPS does a great job of triangulation once you work out how (the working out happened at around the hour mark). We roped in Subi-two via text message to see if we were on the right track (we weren't too far off).
In the end we located the cache in an area Mrs Chippyroo had had a very quick glance at - she was distracted by something else and only found an angry ants nest.
We've included a photo of the tracks on our GPS for your viewing pleasure. TFTC

Finally found after about 5 other visits to Stockdale hill and a missunderstanding of triangulation, I had been looking in the wrong area every time.
After some google research and the input and knowledge of Blue_trax who i can always rely on to help me solve these puzzle caches. I now have a better understanding of triangulation and i was able to narrow my search to an area that i hadn't looked before, and after about 5 minutes i finally had the cache in the hand.
So i can verify that the cache is still there and in good condition..

Checked it out with the geokids after got a message saying it couldn't be found. its still their and its all good. Thanks also to all that have found it. Team Jezes
Found the waypoints, but didn't have a clue what to do with them. Tried plotting the central point for all three, and got nowhere fast. Backtracked and finally found the small measurements hidden away. Located the final cache location and scrutinised it with a severe scrute, but had no luck. A piece of concrete was tossed a small distance away, and it fit almost perfectly where I would hide a cache (had replaced it when we left), and as there were no other such hidey holes, my guess is it has been taken. Of course, I could be wrong as it was the end of a long hot day's caching and I am a little rusty.
Thanks for the fun though.

I remember that we had to have 2 go's at this as the start of the Syd-Hob Yacht Race was on TV so we had to stop and finish it off afterwards.

Having spent Christmas with relatives nearby, Calypso62, Smurfguy & I thought that we had to do at least one cache while in the area. We found the three WPs but then had to cut short the search as we wanted to see the start of the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race. This also allowed us to review the data found & to decide where the cache might be located. After returning to the area & rechecking WPs, we moved to a small area that seemed right. After a short search, Calypso62 came up with goods. With the log signed, the cache was quickly replaced. This whole reserve seems to be a quiet site within East Maitland that not many outside the area know about. TFTC

Geotooter, Smurfyguy and I were up from Sydney to enjoy the Christmas weekend with family. As this one was nearby we decided to give it a go. Arrived at WP1 to find some information that didn't quite make sense. We wondered how to interpret this information into a measurement in metres. Off to WP2 and it didn't take long to discover the format and the information required. We headed for WP3 and soon had the next meaurement. We needed to go back to WP1 as what we found wasn't what was needed. However, by now it was 12:45pm and we wanted to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race so off we went. During this interlude we checked out the maps and had a good idea where the cache would be located (even without the WP1 measurement.) After lunch we headed back to the park, discovered the missing measurement and proceeded in the direction of GZ. With all three WPs triangulated we soon had the cache in hand. Log was signed and cache returned with a minimum of fuss! Now to think about packing up and heading back to Sydney. Oh I do hope the traffic isn't going to be a problem...... (and it wasn't!!) We had an enjoyable walk around a nice little park I didn't know was here. Thanks Team JEZES for this puzzle.

Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and Farmer Frentzen.
We managed to get this one fairly quickly which was lucky as we had plenty more to do. A bit of a search around GZ before the cache was finally in hand. Thanks!

Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.
A little wander around the park narrowed our search and then it was just a matter of reading the hint.

This is our 800th find, WOOT. We decided that we were not going home without this one today. We found the last distance and plotted the arcs to find the search area we had previously was correct. We searched some new spots without joy so decided to revisit some of the places we had been before and we found it in one of the first places we had looked on the first attempt. We must have been having a shocker as it was found quickly this time. This one had been a bit of a nemisis for us so we were wrapped to log this one. Thanks for a fun hunt Team JEZES. [800]
We had a red hot go at this today and armed with 2 points confirmed where we thought it would be. The third point was not found so we searched along the intersection of the data we had with no joy. Will have another go when next in town. Thanks Team JEZES.
Well we returned later in the evening, this time we returned with The Morgans and their 2 iPhones. So armed with three iPhones, we each had our own waypoint measurement and meet up at the location we had previously torn apart unsuccessfully earlier in the day. Now with dark upon us, we re-searched the area. Once we gave up on the obvious, Mr Morgan came up with the goods. Triumph. Yay we did it! The waypoints were great, found all three clues. All in all the puzzle was tops. Thanks for the cache, we look forward to your next one.
After pprass found this cache we decided to have another crack. Mr. Morgan hit the books and continued his study of triangulation. Mrs. Morgan, the brains of this outfit, had the right ideas. She was stopped by Mr. Morgan earlier in the day as he was still studying triangulation, with views of a degree. It must be said that Mrs. Morgan spent days printing maps, studying triangulation and keeping the faith. Enter the Burners family. Mr and Mrs Burners also had the right ideas and went ahead to find valuable clues. Some hours later, after much discussion, a plan was hatched. At dusk the Morgans and the Burners, armed with iphones and maps, met at Stockade Hill. A quick walk and talk landed us at GZ. Little Burners was very helpful, poking and probing in nooks and crannies, and helping where he could. Mrs Burners and Mrs. Morgan kept Mr. Morgan calm as he turned the place upside down. Mr. Burners, who had earlier uncovered the vital clues with Mrs. Burners, was on baby watch in the geomobile. Also watching out for muggles. No one was leaving this park until the cache was discovered. Then a shout we had all been waiting for, EUREKA!!! Mr. Morgan punched the air clutching the cache in his dirty hand. Found at last you #@%&$ *@#^%$@#$. Never again....well maybe just a few more. SL TFTC
The Burners Family are part way through solving this one. We just need some resources from home to map the clues. ( And kids need to be picked up ) It will not beat us. We are having fun so far:)
Found at 4.20pm GAFF2. Now this is the type of cache that really makes someone who is semi interested in navigation suddenly perk up! I was determined to find all of the distances as there was no way that I was not going to follow the intention of the exercise - it also helped a lot in fine tuning where the cache was of coarse.
The first WPT I approached which was no. 2 was a bit of a problem - I thought the distance was on the rusted metal insert, but suddenly I saw another marking. The second for me (which was No. 1) was not a problem, but the third (which was no. 3) was a problem. It took some ingenuity and an implement to get that one!
Then back in the car to work out where the lines intersected and with my touch screen mapping - it took only a few moments and with a visual confirmation I was onto it.
A very satisfying find. Thanks Team JEZES

Found at about 3:34 PM. Shell and I arrived in the park and struggled at our first point so it was off to another point, on the way to another point we thought we would check out some likely spots and as we wandered across the park we spotted a small child acting a little strange in a likely spot. We sat off for a while and once the people had left the play equipment we moved in and made a quick find. I'm not sure if this was the cache owner or a muggle but we'll take the find!
Thanks to Team JEZES for the cache.

This is another cache that has looked interesting since it was first published.
Printed a map with the waypoints marked and a scale, and then went for a walk. Found each measurement (once you find one, you know what to look for!), did a bit of rough triangulation with a pencil, and another walk, and cache was in hand.
I'd actually already walked over the thing twice!!
This is a nice cache.

PS While here, have a go at "Serendipity" GA1819. It's in the same park.

Before we headed out for this cache we printed off the area from Google Earth with the three waypoints marked on it - and a scale. We headed to WP3 first and didn't really know what we were looking for and couldn't seem to find anything to help us so we headed on to WP2 and found what we were looking for. Off to WP1 and again found what we needed. I'm no maths wiz, but we figured that instead of doing a triangulation we would just try for a bisection - so now we had to use our printed off Google map plus a pin, pen and some dental floss and we came up with a possible search area!?! We headed to our search zone with the additional hint in hand as well. After about five minutes of searching Marco came up trumps - it is always such a great feeling to solve one of these and finally have the cache in hand. TNLNSL TFTC
Wow this is tricky. Spent an hour an a half looking in the chilly wind. Will have a rethink and come back another time.
After researching triangulation and a couple of visits we were able to find this tricky hide. Found with darth trader. Tftc.
So I have been wanting to try this one since it came online, but I knew it would take time.
I printed out a map and got my compass out and did what i thought was 'triangulation' and was nowhere near a GZ. So with the lack of light Gazamtaz and I returned home, did a quick wiki on 'triangulation' and realized our error.
After a bellyfull of 'Bollywood' indian and red wine and further discussion, we came back with an american flashlight and walked right up to it.
Thanks for the cache team.
If this is your first hide, I am worried how difficult the next one will be.
I left a pathtag in the cache.

Found this on a day out with The Cash Man & Don Jnr.
Found pretty quick with a little bit of guidance from Cash Man.
Thank for a good cache Team JEZES.

Went back today for a third time.
Today I started at WP2 which I had not visited before.
This time I located the mark and all was revealed.
Great cache guys, thanks Team JEZES

I went back here today after getting it wrong the first time.
The first time I used mathematics to find the centre of the triangle. WRONG.
Today I went back to look for a range the gd must have used in his arc.
I visited two of the three waypoints and found nothing.
I have no idea when to do here.

I went out here chasing a FTF. I looked at the cache page when it was published and did a rough visual triangulation using google earth. This seemed to indicate a probable hiding spot. I was working in Maitland so I headed to the park and had a look around at about 8pm. I was in the wrong spot and my torch wasn't good enough to contunue so I called it quits. Will try again in daylight. I have also been to the park a couple of times and have never found a cache. Thanks Team JEZES an interesting cache for your first hide. Check out the website at www.geohavoc.org if you need any help.

I noticed that after 24hrs this cache still hadn't been found so off I went in the dark. As I arrived there where some people in the park with torches near one of the way points, so I thought they must have been geocachers but as I walked in their direction they took off the other way leaving me all alone to look for the clue which was found quickly. i couldn't find the other to distances in the dark, although I didn't try too hard. I then found the cache by arcing with the waypoint and distance that i did have and got another *FTF*.
This is the fourth time I've been to this park now but the first time I've covered this much of it.
Took GC.
Thanks Team JEZES.
