Quick find here today on my way past, cache and contents are all good

Today I headed up to the copper coast for a day out to find a few caches yet to be found plus the new onslaught of puzzles up here. Managed to dodge the rain that was forecast and come away with just over 50 finds.

Thanks for the cache

24-Jul-22
Another find as we clear up some stragglers around the Kadina/Wallaroo surrounds. I was baptised a Methodist so always interested in exploring their sites. Thanks Tk2

03-Jul-22
Today was a mighty fine day. A Jams crew day albeit depleted today it was just Allisterw, JJ52 and I so we logged using our individual caching names rather than as Jams.
We made a canny plan to head up the highway to Lochiel, Snowtown and then via Bute to Moonta. Lots of caches found including several ‘bastard’ nanos (eagle eyed Allister was the nano king today). Lots of historical buildings, a monster, the beach, a wedding, a bomb, tractors and many ‘welcome to’ signs. Lots of ‘bastard’ cacti but we seemed to win more of those than we lost which was a definite bonus. Only one dnf for the day.
70 caches visited and Allisterw top scored with 69 finds.
It was very chilly all day but no rain so no complaints.
Thanks to the many COs for contributing to our day out and big thanks to my pals for the laughs and Allí for driving
Quick find here TFTC Tk2

Have been trying to find a couple of caches a day and have done so BUT the logging is slower than a wet week, so i do apologise ! Was a quick find while i was in the area for work .
Had a frog TB on board so decided to drop him/her here!! Then i was on my way - A much quicker than expected find with a cache size I appreciate! Hide intact and log is clean dry condition. No bow wows to spoil to silence. A few usual Aussie wave buzzy things and a light plane overhead was all that spoiled the wind in the trees and peaceful feeling of being alone out here, despite nearby residency. TYFTC SLTNLN except a fave cos everyone should have one! SLTN

Another Caching Wednesday for the Puzzled Puzzlers. Today's group of brisal5, S.A. Sewer Rats and Blackadders were once again heading north in search of that elusive smilie. Razz Three weeks earlier I had missed the trip due to injuring my back and had only done a half day since. [B)] This would be a big test. [8)] After several DNF's three weeks ago the others were keen to return with a new set of eyes. We had a full day of laughs and a couple of sprinkles of rain but managed to right a few DNFs but still added a few more before seeing the sun set in Wallaroo and turning for home. We will be back again next week. Cool

What a great gesture from the locals. [^] Cache quickly located. Smile

**Thanks Tk2 for this cache. ** Big Grin

30-Aug-18
A small menagerie of the puzzled puzzler animals had planned to visit the top end of the Yorke Peninsular to seek more smileys on their individual maps. Unfortunately the Starfish had injured his back the day before which left just the Adder and the Rat to fulfill the quest.

Spotted the good sized container and found 2 log books inside, One with a FTF log and the other with earlier dates?

Added our stamp to both just in case.

we were well hidden by the bushes and kept our noise down as not to disturb the dogs across the road.

A couple of days of geocaching with Aussie M & M. As normal we laughed, we tried hard not to hurt ourselves and only replaced or repaired about 6 geocaches. Apologies for the generic logs but it was a big couple of days.
Thanks to Tk2 from mogni Big Grin

11-Mar-18
Out caching for the day with Mark and mogni. We were aiming to cache our way to Kadina, which only took about 6 hours when it is only a 2 hour drive. There may have been a few detours for caches we just had to do. This one was one of those.

Thanks to Tk2

The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Tk2, we enjoyed it.

I apologise for the generic log.

11-Mar-16
Hi there Tk2.

We found your cache **"Wintanerta"** at 9:06:00 AM today.
This was our 10th find for the day and this makes our find count 12988.

Our cache run today was initially to finish off the Pyramid. After that our next goal was to log our 13,000th find - - - so we navigated from cache to cache to the one the GPS said was next closest etc. On the way home our mental arithmetic said that we were one short so we did what Bruce (of Liz & Bruce) would say - - "Just one more lovey!" & ended up with 22 finds & 1 DNFs at the end of the run.

###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Camped at Paskeville bowling club, and ventured to pick up a few caches in the area.
A pleasant drive in the country and we enjoyed the scenery.

We picked up a good variety of caches, some a little trickier to find than others.
Very hot and humid today, so we headed back to the caravan early.
Cache located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Tk2, for us and others to find.

After a weekend of fun in the copper triangle, Timotatus and I had to return the party gear.
So back to Adelaide, but not without a few detours on the way Wink
Cute little chapel tucked away from the rat race.
Mattycat's great great grandmother had the first methodist chapel in the south east built on their property near Gambier, still there today but no longer the methodists.

Heading off on the prickly cactus road tour today with locus cache, JJ52 and laighside legends in Harry and a convoy of others as well Cool

We travelled far and wide and found most of the BBB caches that we looked for Big Grin Still despite all the people and previous finders with us a couple elluded us Sad
We also found some other caches. [^]

In the end after dodging cute little bunnies on the road we finally made it to Wallaroo before the pub shut for dinner and then I slept most of the way home to Adelaide.

Thanks to locus cache for driving and singing and thanks to BBB and all the other cache hiders! Big Grin We had a fab day!

Out for the day with Laighside Legends, JJ52 and Ismartis for a fun day out. Cool
Attended the BBB on Tour event, then made our way out to a plethora of prickly, scratchy, frustratingly increasing caches with a similar camo style. Twisted
I finished the day with 14 finds Smile, 2 DNFs Sad and 1 event attended Cool... although that should read 15 finds (1 GCA), 2 DNFs and 2 events attended (1 GCA) Wink

Our last cache before heading straight into Wallaroo for tea.
That decoy had us tricked until we lifted it, then the real cache was found Smile

Today we are heading to the copper triangle to do some caches with earthlight and the x trailers, we managed around 120 caches over the 2 days we spent here and we saw some fantastic scenery along the way, being the geowifes early childhood stomping grounds i was treated to a lot of history about quite a few of the areas and how much things have changed over time, this is day 1 and as we head out in the x trailers geomobile we start crossing of a few that are on the to do list, this one was a nice quick find. Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega. Big Grin

Today was moving day, we are still travelling with iluvtrekking after major repairs at Toytota Maitland.

We moved the caravans to Bute today and then headed out around Kadina Geocaching and doing some shopping at Woolworths, BWS, and the local Butchers.

We found some great caches and some superb caches. All in all a great day. Wonder what tomorrow holds. Razz

hmmm we approached this one from the complete wrong side and through the scratchy bush but we made it even though we had to walk 60m. Think it would have been easier to come up the road. Razz

15-Aug-12
Heading back from a great couple of days caching in Whyalla we were taking our time coming down so as to be able to attend the "YP Cachers Get Together #3" event tomorrow night and also grab some caches in areas we do not normally travel. We pulled up at another Tk2 cache this time with the rain looking like it had set in. Although quite close to the house the owners Jack Russell's must have been keeping dry as they did not give us away. After adding our name to the log we spotted the plaque and had a very quick read before heading back to the dry of the car.
Again our thanks Tk2.

Interesting to see that this old place is now a house. We were here fairly early in the morning so we made our find as quickly as possible so as not to disturb the residents.

As we arrived a car was inspecting the plaque. Might be geocachers. Might be rubber neckers. They left the scene without logging the cache. I guess they are the second group.
