Well I think it time to let this one go......it was a great couple of hours for us & we are looking forward to doing it again next year. I notice we are short about 3 logs & have 3 extra travel bugs which didn't end up in the cache container at the end of the event, but I am sure they will turn up again somewhere. GOYA
This one was close enough for me to walk and thats what I did. Great day for it with the sun out but not to hot. Great way to meet the people that I see names all the time, same I could not linger longer but needed to return for mothers day lunch.
Thanks Melbermans for the event

Great day, great weather, great to catch up with a bunch of others whose IDs we have seen many times around the caching world.
Thanks Melbermans - everyone seemed to enjoy the event.

Happy Birthday to Me ! By visiting this event with Mrs Iamapom. Lovely to finally catch up with 80Degrees - good chat. Nice to meet you guys. And some of the usual faces like ssmc4 and his pushie- good to see you all.
I dropped off a Superman TB I picked up in the Salt Lake City TB Hotel in the Tourist Information centre there a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he can travel some more, and save the world from destruction etc.
Dipped in a coin from WWFMIII on 10th May 2008 - so nearly a couple of years old.
Thanks for this event.

Captains Stardate log 22/9/10, Thought we had logged this event but alas we had not.
OK I am guilty of not logging caches over the last year or two. Due to 2 operations and rehab it has made it difficult to log caches even though I have been mostly chair bound sitting for short times has been difficult as well.
What I have done is create this log in an attempt to bring our found and DNF's up to date so I can resume my normal habit of stories rather than a TNLN - TFTC.
Most of these logs will not include the owners team name so I think it is appropriate to say a Big Thank the cache owners for their caches and some wonderful memories of caching adventures.
Also thanks to Team Crackers who have made our caching trips so much fun and their help in working out what caches we did and when.
Regards
Mr.Coffee and the "I promise I wont let this happen again after all these coffee's er I mean caches are drunk er I mean logged" Coffee Clan.

Squeezed this in between Mother's Day commitments. Out the door at 11:20, back at 12! The joy of living on the bike path
Great to see so many others there and put some faces to names, and have a little chat with Melbermans. Thanks for putting this together. The little touches of drinks, bikkies and Mother's Day badges was lovely too!
Now to pull our finger out and get our event planned!
Thanks

Another well-attended and good event. As I was off interstate I could not stay long and spent a bit of that time with a group looking for a cache nearby. I would like to have spent more time meeting others but it was not to be this day. Thanks to Melbermans for the organisation.
After meeting up with 80 Degrees at a nearby cache it was not long before we stumbled across a huge crowd gathered on the side of a bike track!
It's amazing to see so many cachers in one place.
Only had time to drop in a couple of GC's and sign the log.

Got there around mid day on our way to one-quarter-of-FuzzyGem's gymnastics competition.
We only stayed 30 seconds cuz we were running late. He qualified for the Victorian Championships and will compete in early June.

We didn't pedal thru, but we did wander. Adam's knee isn't quite up to bike riding yet. Good to pass by and catch up with some fellow cachers. Well done and great idea. Thanks!
Cracker Dad had to work today so Cracker Girl was ferrying Cracker Mum around, doing a few caches before heading to the Pedal thru event and then out for Mother's day lunch. You couldn't have asked for better weather, it was great to stand in the sun chatting with old friends and meeting some new ones. The cuppa was most appreciated as was my Mother's Day badge.
Thanks Melbermans for organizing this fun couple of hours

The kids and I cycled a few km to the event whilst Geomum took the car straight to the park. We got there around 12:30 and stayed 3/4 of an hour or so. I was good to see a large group of cachers at the GZ, obviously taking some time to "pedal thru". We chatted for quite some time with people we had met before, and quite a few we had not. Always great to be able to put faces to names in logs.
Thanks for putting this on Melbermans.

I live very close to today's event so it was great to drop in and meet other cachers. Thanks Melbermans.

Arrived early today to say "Hi" to everyone with my 2 boys in tow. It was great to see so many people attend this event. We stayed until 1pm before saying our farewells and headed of to do some more caches closer to the city.
Thanks for a Great Stop

I think I scored FTF on this...Furthest To Find.
Google Maps said the trip would take 49 minutes by car...and I did it in 50 minutes by bike!!! Covering 31km (which included an overshot to Springvale Road and then return...they should label the roads you're passing on the bike track like they do on the freeway). I rolled past Rabbitto sitting in his car at about 11:20. I think I need to stage a few bike events considering how much time I spend on them!!! Adding today's ride to my tally, so far I have covered 4,933km this year - so I tend to cover about as much distance on my bike as a lot of people do in their cars. It really is the best way to get around and I love how I arrive at work each day wide-eyed and bushy-tailed I actually have to fight to stay awake if I try to drive in (which is very rare...I ride even in the worst weather!).
Thanks for the event Melbermans...see you need weekend hopefully
Max Speed for today...54.36km/h on the Kew Boulevard in the 50km/h zone

Were we STF "Shortest to Find" ? We had to go to Albert Park for a Mothers Day Lunch and knew we wouldn't have much time to ride past the event GZ so we drove the car to the Middleborough Rd freeway crossing and rode the bikes in from there (total distance 1.7 km - phew [xx(]!). Still it was good to catch up with other cachers and have a cuppa. Took a TB and discovered EuDes 10 finds coin) Thanks Melbermans - wish we could have stayed longer but we knew we had a tough ride ahead of us back to the car .
We attended this event at 11:20am (we we're early) as the 1st of 5 on a Mother's Day afternoon. We thought that this may be a quick in and out today but by the time you get to chat briefly with even half the attendees, time is gone and we ended up being not only the first to arrive but almost the last to leave (short of Melbermans who were packing away the chairs and barbie). Some of the likely suspects we have now caught up with 3 weeks n a row, first at Echuca, then at Ballarat and now at Blackburn with the prospect of one more time in the city next week. Met up with a few teams for the first time also which is always nice, some for the second and third and at our 31st event cache some are now old friends for years. It was nice to live fairly close to an event this time around but it also meant we were fairly thin on nearby unfound caches with only another four nearby to find. Thanks for the event from D, HA, H, K & A B-A.
This was our first event!! Thanks to Melbermans for hosting this Pedal thru/walk thru event - it was GREAT to meet many cachers whose names we have seen in many logs!
Was especially great to meet Eudes after being FTF on his recent Mystery Cache and being the proud receivers of the 10hides geocion as a result!
We had a great time chatting to cachers and discovering TB's and GC's left, right and centre!
We arrived at 12.31 and left at 1.15pm - and headed off for an afternoon of caching at Lilydale Lake.
Took 2008 Australian Emu GC, 10 hides GC
Left Geocaching event GC and Chrystal GC
Thanks again Melbermans!

Just passing, thought we'd drop in .
This one has been in the diary ever since it was posted and I was eagerly awaiting the day . The weather was absolutely perfect (well done guys ) so it was definitely a ride to GZ. ssmc4 picked me up and we were off. We arrived at the event right on noon and immediately the effects of my having kissed the Blarney Stone kicked in (and I'm not even Irish ).
I had a good long chat with many teams, some who I've met many times and others who I'd never met before. It's always fantastic putting faces to team names and great to talk about the various caches we've all done, attempted or hope to find some day soon!!
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and it was, too soon, time to head home although I must admit that I was one of the last to leave (many would say that that isn't too surprising ). At least this time though, there are a couple of events to catch up with everyone again not to far away in either time or distance .
Took memories, left impressions (all good I hope ), SL. Many thanks for a great event Melbermans (not to mention the perfect day for it ).

I swung by EuDes' place then we both enjoyed a nice ride down to the event GZ, arriving there around 12. We stayed for an hour or so and it was great to meet up with many of the attendees - some we'd met before and others we knew only by caching reputation, from the very experienced to the newby cacher, some who'd pedalled through and some who'd strolled by. A very pleasant time in the lovely autumn sunshine.
Happy birthday to iamapom and a very big thanks to the Melbermans team for a nice concept that was very well executed - good stuff .

What a great idea for an event, and what a great day for it. I wasn't sure we'd even make it, because we were late out the door (my fault) and on a mission (I was, anyhow) to nab half a dozen nearby caches. We arrived at the event - on foot - with about 3 minutes to spare.
Still, it was nice to finally meet Eudes and the Melbermans.
Thanks to the Melbermans for organizing the event, and I hope to catch up with you both at the next one (though your dog may not want to come ).

Strolled in about 12.20 and stayed for about an hour. This was our first event cache. Was great to meet many of the cachers who attended and to be able to put faces to the names we so often read about. First we strolled in with Acme - great to talk to interstate cachers. Thanks Eudes for sharing some of your caching knowledge. Introduced ourselves to iamapom and Mrs Iamapom and discussed a recent cache of his that we were spotted at. Also nice to meet others including Rabbitto; Team Coxy; Datruk; Coffee & Cache; ssmc4; Franklj and of course the cache organizers - Melbermans and Friends
A trackside coffee stop , now thats a great idea . A good turn out and the weather put it on for us , however it looks like a big event next Saturday with 2 events and a group assault on " The tallest tree in the forest - GCR2GG " at 1400 hrs .
thanks to the Melbermans

A great idea for an event and the hosts were fantastic, I was offered a biscuit on arrival, you have to love that! I had attended an event last weekend so this was two in a row now, I think I will try for a hatrick next Saturday. My thanks to Melbemans for this event.

I'm so excited that our Memory of Chloe TB gets to attend an event like this! Thanks for taking good care of her during her journey! Sounds like a fun event! Enjoy!
Great day. Thanks!
Left Goofy TB, What's your signal TB, shell from Catlins, ballet shoes. Took CombieVan TB.

Walked through on a glorious Sunday afternoon. A good opportunity to natter and meet lots of other cachers. Cheers from team bearsleys!
The bike and the trail-a-bike are all set for a quick scoot down the trail tomorrow, in between Mother's Day breakfast and lunch!
These two TBs will be dropped in. We'll hope to be there soon after 11.30 to give plenty of chance for pickup.

We would love to scoot to get past but being Mothers Day, it may be a fleeting visit.
Dropping off the GeoRendevous Geocaching Event Coin for someone to pick up when we pass through tomorrow

Taken care of Mother's Day duties tonight so will now be free to stroll thru - see you there
Sounds fun. We've just had our 40th anniversary adventure caching in the far south of NZ's South Island and Stewart Island so will be happy to help celebrate someone else's. Just might bring a TB or two...
Will drop the Geocacher's Day Coin in on Sunday. This one needs to see a bit of Vic then head home. Another for the pedal thru event.
This will have to be walk through event for me as I am from SA and a long way from my bike.
Looking forward to a nice walk and some good caches.
See you there.

See you there.
Looks like it will be a walk thru for me as well seeing as my bike is in for repairs..
I've just been informed that my mother will be available on the day of this event (Mother's Day), so unfortunately I'm not going to be able to attend after all. I'll be thinking of all those that can and look forward to the next pedal thru event.
weehee! A cycling-caching event! I'm in! I'll probably ride from home (Hampton)...last time I came thru this way I clocked up 175km in a lazy ride around town!
We are really looking forward to our first caching "event". The matriarch will be running in the Mothers' Day Classic, but that's much earlier in the day and, pending injury, we will be there with bells on.
G&M will pedal thru and I'll stroll thru
This will be our first event - how exciting!!

P.S. Whoops - just realised it will be Mother's Day that day so will still all drop in but we probably will all be a stroll through rather than G&M on the bikes...

OOooooh. May 9th is a very special day for me each year. So, I might bring a cake, or little cakes. Or something.
While I do have a bike, it's in no fit state to ride without a big service. So, I thing that as it's my yearly special day, I should be able to stroll through.

As this happens to be our 40th Wedding Aniversary, can't think of a better way to spend it than riding and caching. Will see you all there! Have the billy boiling and aniversary muffins
Given that we live so close to this path we'd be crazy not to attend! have another potential engagement that day but will try and squeeze this in first and treadly on down the path to pick up our first event cache.
I've cycled past here a fair few times, so barring last minute schedule conflicts, I'll be pedaling thru.
Sensational, I luuuuurve combining caching with riding so I've pencilled this one in (and I don't think I'll be the only one hey s ).
