Got caught while caching in Rakaia, our stealth skills should be higher;but luck for me and for my sister,it was none other than "la vista";from the nice chat that did ensue, our hunger for more caches grew;to Christchurch we now make our way,and wish "la vista" a good day!
We stopped here on our journey from Christchurch to Dunedin and quickly found what we were looking for. Many thanks for placing and maintaining the cache and best wishes from Frankfurt am Main.TFTCFBBHaegar
Hello La Vista,Another day, another Cache.Together with Dr Donna travelling through New Zealand. We arrived at Auckland Airport and made our way up north. After visiting Cape Reinga we went on our way South to reach Stewart Island with stops in many different Citys all over the country. Of course we have an open eye for nice Caches but take what we can get. Today we came across your Cache "Salmon hooked on (Canterbury)" and signed the logbook with our names or took pictures for Virtuals and Earthcaches. Its great how many nice spots we are able to discover through our journey and how many of them we only See because of Geocaching! Thanks for bringing us to this place and takeing care for the geocache. Liebe Gre und vielen Dank fr die Hege und Pflege deines Traditional Cache! -moge-#############Der Cache "Salmon hooked on (Canterbury)" von "La Vista" war fr mich Cache 6670. On our tour we drive through different landscapes and learn a lot about the history and origins through lab caches, virtual and earth caches. We walk through nice villages, enjoy the food and coffee or smoothie and also like to look for traditional and bonus containers. The city was beautiful and the Labcaches were good to answer. Here we spent an new little Box with an Logsheet!!!We would like to thank all the owners for the caches and send warm greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany.
tmann421 and I are heading back to Christchurch after attending the MEGA finding caches along the way.We enjoyed all the caches found and thank the cache owners for their efforts in maintaining these for us to findLog signed tm/ww NZTFTC
Had to refer to previous logger and those coords. After a long search this did the trick! Tftc
Accio 08:27:33My first visit to South Island. Over the ditch for the Dunedin Mega, and arrived about midnight, and after a very short sleep am on my way south, but first a couple of caches on the way. Including this one. Thanks La Vista for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12764}*
The coords were out - but Tiz13 did some magic to put us in the right location, and the cache was spotted. Next, for a bit of fun on the playground, so dizzy! Thanks La Vista

We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we drove from Christchurch to Dunedin. When we had access to wifi (mobile net) we made some stop. This was one of the stops.A big thank you to CO for the cache.
Four Swedish ladies driving around in NZ looking for caches. We log as TULP. Thank you
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand .On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland
NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega. I'm also hoping to get a multi everyday, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip". Today is Day 4 from Christchurch to Timaru. This cache was one on our journey. Stopping here for the virtual we used the nearby picnic table to send our answers. Along came another couple with a GPS taking a photo of the plaque. Had to laugh. They joined in on the search for this one. Thanks to a past finder for the tip on about 15m out, that helped. Thank you La Vista. It's nice to have a trip where alongside targeted caches we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
Day eight of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.A traveling day today from Christchurch to Oamaru (with a few caches on the side!)The cache was about 10m from GZ, but in an obvious spot.Found with a couple of NZ cachers on their way to the Mega. Thanks, Robmc.
A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in on Saturday after a bit of a delay. After a great few days in and around Christchurch its time to head to Twizel for the night with a detour via Mount Cook.So Day 4 of my Mega NZ trip begins and Im on my own again so lets go find a few more caches along the way.Now that would be one big fish to reel in.Cache was located using one of the previous finders coords. Thanks La Vista TFTC.
After completing the virtual we walked across to find this cache. After checking a tree at GZ we read a few logs which then helped us to locate this cache. The Australian cachers we met at the plaque for the virtual joined us and soon we had the cache in hand. It is now at a height of about 1 metre above the ground.TFTC La Vista. And so 7 days after returning home from a five month trip to the UK and Europe, I am off on another trip. This time its within New Zealand as Itchyfeet2020 and I are on our mega road trip to Dunedin. We are focussing on particular caches for various challenges, as well as having a great lot of fun and seeing the scenery in our wonderful land. -LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!!On May 3rd, 2025, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in Rotorua, New Zealand with a special Block Party event. Join us to celebrate 25 years of this amazing game, and that the very first geocache hidden outside of the United States, 25 years ago, was hidden here in New Zealand. You do not want to miss this event, so check out the "[GCAKR25](https://coord.info/GCAKR25) 25 Years of Geocaching NZ! event page, the [event website](http://25years.geocache.nz/) for more details, join the [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/924894455969387) group, and sign up to the [email list](http://25years.geocache.nz/?p=4) to get updates...If you intend to come, please make sure you get your "Will Attend" log onto the page as soon as you can in order to assist with planning the first ever Block Party in New Zealand.-

Of course, I find geocaches along the way.It took me some time to get this one as the coordinates were off. Found it about 15m off at 2m high. I put it back to 1m.La Vista, thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 8, 2024 @ 19:34:36[GC25T1C] Salmon hooked on (Canterbury) was a D2.0/T1.5 Micro Traditional Cache at the time of finding.

Today I finally went to the countryside and from Christchurch I drove to Dunedin. I really liked the landscape along the way. It was very hot and sunny, but before Dunedin the temperature suddenly dropped from 30 to 15C. I also stopped at some caches and enjoyed a nice day. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.

On our holiday driving around in New Zealand we stopped here for coffee. Well the rest of the family did. I went caching TFTC. My find no. 8.198. The cache is dry and in good condition.
Very busy muggle day at the end of the year. Snatched the cache between wandering tourists, sustained a few scratches courtesy of the cache guardian. Lovely hot blustery day here, cache in good condition. TFTC!
