We ventured toward Nelson Bay with DiMorgan for a good day of caching. The weather was overcast but quite pleasant. We had a list of caches to wanted to find and this was one of them. This is such a scenic part of the coast which makes caching most enjoyable.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
We have spent the day geocaching with Liz & Bruce. Headed to beautiful Nelsons Bay where we saw
wonderful beaches, sand dunes & crystal blue water. Found many caches along paths & trails. A very successfull day of caching.

Thought it was about time to do some caching up this way.
A quick and easy find here. TNLN. Thanks MADSTARS

Went for an early morning stroll through this bushland to clean up all the caches here. Found this one easy enough as it was exposed and the bright blue colour is very conspicuous. After I've signed the log, I gave it a bit more camo. TFTC
At first we suspected this was on private land but soon found the right approach to spot the brightly coloured cache from metres away, not really hidden. The track looked very inviting, looks good for night spotting. We liked the nearby resort enough to obtain details and tarriffs, will probably stay here next time instead of Nelson Bay. Thanks for the hide.
Was worried it would be on the other side of the fence, but once at GZ it was quite obvious. TFTC
Found with Team Unibolt It was a great day for tennis, but we weren't playing and neither was anyone else. this early in the morning. Having the place to our selves meant it was a quick and easy search. The log was wet and looked like confetti, we done our best to fabricate a new one from what we had available. The tennis players were just starting to turn up as the cache was being replaced, but they were too late we were done and on our way to the next. TFTC.

Hmm I don't think we got to this one the right way. We parked in a street behind the cache and had a short bushbash to GZ. We could see the cache from about 20 meters so that was good. Signed the log then we were off. Many thanks
We too were about to drive in through the resort before we though better of it. We hooked around the back and were soon walking up a small stormwater culvert between some houses with GZ in sight. Disturbed a huge land mullet(Big black lizard)and was soon at GZ. We spotted it a mile off so we were soon done withe the formalities. I think this was the first of many more M&Ms containers to come. Thanks MADSTARS.

Found on an evening bushwalk behind our holiday accommodation - when we weren't even looking! Our young son spotted this one and identified it as a cache - just like that!
This one probably isn't meant to be done from the resort side, but we managed it. And from the hole in the fence, I think a few other people have done it this way as well. Either that, or tennis players lose a lot of balls over the fence & needed a quick way to retrieve them.
Thanks
Thanks
Our GPS had us drive through the resort, which didn't seem right. When we got there we realised there was a way from outside the resort. We were doing a lot of caches, so we went with where we were. There was a hole already in the wire fence, so Toriaz leaned through and found the cache. With cache signed and replaced, we drove back out of the resort. No-one said a thing. Thanks
Great sunshine. Easy to find. Initiated my friends to our secret world. : Betty Bou with Caveman & MissionFromGod for TeamHorizonA
The GPS said go into the resort, so we did. Lucky there was no-one around while we retrieved the cache. Thanks.
Oops - not sure we should get to the cache through the resort. No one was around fortunately and we secured the cache. Thanks.
I wasn't sure if I should be here but it was just getting dark. No bugger here. Well, I saw one of the units with a light on.
I failed at my first attempt (walked to the back). Exit stage left and walked the bush way. This resulted in success.
Still not a sole around. No one else silly to be out in the lite drizzly weather.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.

If someone would have a look at this one and replace the log and bag it would be greatly appreciated.

Tried to tackle this one from the wrong direction at first but regrouped and located without trouble.

Reperio at 1615. Couldn't work out the best way to get to GZ, but since I was within about 100m parked in the nearby street, I decided just to head straight through the bush. Found the nice little trail that eventually lead me to the cache, and again, I wanted to find where the rest of the trail ends up. Maybe another day.

This was a really nice little bushwalk. Would never have known it was here. Thanks for showing it to us.
No thanks. Boring. Rather run about the bush like a lunatic.
Decided to spend a beautiful day out caching at Port MADSTARS.
I got to the but not the way intended.
Parked in a nearby street very close and there was no path but there was a geotrail.
Thanks MADSTARS

#4762 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. We got some funny looks here. The tennis courts were in use and they players werent real sure what was going on.
Thanks
Thanks
Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.
The locals playing tennis on the courts must have been wondering what we were doing in the nearby scrub but with a little stealth we were able to make the find undetected.
TNLN and thanks MADSTARS for the cache.

Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and FarmerFrentzen.
We snuck in the back way to this one to avoid the muggles. There was a fantastic fallen tree near GZ that would have made a good hidey hole. TFTC!

Had some time to kill before heading off from our accommodation to my aunt and uncle's place that live in Medowie. We didn't have to walk far from our accommodation to find this one. We stayed up this area two years ago. This cache was not here last time we were here. Geofamily found the cache without much difficulty. It was actually found by Geowife. TFTC
Approached this via the wrong side of the fence at night, problem soon corrected and the log signed. What a nice resort. TFTC
Collected the cache from outside like I was looking for tennis balls outside the fence. Thanks
Not sure that this was the right approached, however no-one was playing tennis today, and soon figured out where I needed to be. Gate was open and a quick stroll down the track and found it. Thanks.
Found at 2.20pm GAFF3. Took a bit of a hunt for his one as GPS was taking us all over the place and as time was running out and we were also being observed resorted to the hint - found the cache in the first place I had looked (obviously it had been a very quick glance). A very pretty little area we had never been to before. A lovely resort which except for a workman seemed to be empty. Makes you wonder how they make enough money to be viable, I guess the summer months must be very different.
Thanks MADSTARS

Just love the smells of the bush. Easy find due no camouflage. Added a bit of dried bracken to cover it a bit. SL T4TC Madstars. cloudglider

Well we drove through the resort for this 1, that’s the way the GPS sent us (that’s my excuse) parked the car & walked through the opened fence gate to find cache. Nice & quiet today so a nice find.

Found on a delightful day caching in the area. No-one for tennis today, and a nice bit of bush. Thanks to MADSTARS for the cache.
Had to avoid muggle children playing soccer on the tennis court (tennoccer?? soccennis??) Fortunately they left to go swimming!!??!! Easy find. TFTC TNLN SL

Quick take off from the car before the Pirates could even pull up but as I got closer the GPSr did a little jumping around and had me at a stand still for a minute allowing the pirates to catch up.
Arriving at GZ we had a look around and using the clue, thought we had an idea but it was not to be. The pirates tried a couple of other spots while Mrs KLE (me) stood back and watched. I then thought it must be there (where the pirates had checked with a boy look) and had another look. Eureka.
Another quick sign of the logs and we were off again.

We used this as a base for the four caches close by. A short search and Geowife found the hide. Great location that was deserted today. TFTC MADSTARS. [614]
Of this series of three I did this first and so the hardest part was getting to GZ from the closest park. Saw lots of convenient access points on the way back out - oh the power of hindsight. No-one on the courts today as they were wet from the slow rain. Thanks MADSTARS.
We made a bit of a hash of this one as we tried to approach it from a different angle due to the track being flooded. After being beaten by thick ferns and fencing we turned back and went to where we started from originally. We got wet feet, but it was a much easier route!

Day two of theheadchef and spikeymikey's excellent adventures to Nelson Bay and what my disillusioned mate meant to say was YET ANOTHER I had to find for him.....of yee of little memory.....Was a weird place to in though, the security guard or whatever in his little golf buggy couldn't be bothered with us, so thanks to the rain which was coming down at this time.
Found our way to this cache through the retirement village or whatever it is.
I know.....naughty.......but that's the way my GPS sent me!!
And then I had problems!! This should have been an easy find, with the level of clues. But I couldn't see it.I looked and poked, and then looked. TheHeadChef came to the rescue........and I'll have to live that down for a while!!

Found by Mary & David at 1450. A short walk from the main road. Spotted it peeping out on arrival. A nice area of bush beyond GZ. Luckily, nobody out on the court today. As always, our thanks to Madstars.
This day was too beautiful to spend it all inside. After spending several hours at a course at nearby Salamander Shores (soon to be demolished?), I needed to spend some time outside so decided to try for a couple of MADSTAR's cahces on the walk into Stony Ridge. This was quite easy to find, harder to hide!
This was our 3537th overall find.
Found at 10:42 AM. We parked in Waratah Ave for this one and walked in after trying to drive in the way the GPS thought we should go. A nice little walk in past the Cheese Tree and then up to the GZ where some people were arguing over a point, we grabbed the cache as it was in plain view and kept walking away. we did what we had to do and then returned 5 minutes later. The coast was clear so we put it back and carried on.
Thanks MADSTARS for the cache.
